in today's episode you will see what happens impaires hey this guyan out of the ambulance how you get out of the how to get out no no no no I didn't go to a hospital I I when those who are supposed to teach and protect your children we we think that youve drank today not 3:00 a.m. we think that you've drank since you've been in school do exactly the opposite and end up paying for it with their freedom came down to check on the baby right before they called found him face down in the bed I need to tell them all something we had an emergency what do I tell them we had an emergency here today we'll start with a case that totally confused the police this is Mark a former school bus driver who was completely drunk when he hijacked a bus with 40 kids on board when he realized what he had done he left the bus along with the children and called for an emergency medical services thinking that would get him out of trouble and that's where our Story begins huh he admitted to two be okay but I do think there might be some sight stuff going on he didn't he he was doing his R so he definitely get that up had a couple so what hold that against there's so much going on what is his medical reason for going right now just he's he just wants to meet his wife at the hospital correct he doesn't he didn't want to go but it said his his wife was on the phone said I'll meet you there he's like okay toy hey Sugar's good does that help no beer inake it's not when he got to the school and we radio him to pull that bus over at a safe location he did he was told to get one bus but he did not get that bus he jumped into a totally opposite bus so that was when we noticed something was wrong because you record huh is this record pulling out yes so then when he didn't take but that's when she said oh I I kind of smell alcohol does he have any history of like DUI alcohol you know sub or anything um I don't know how this works but we need to do a blood drop because itn't considered a DUI or something like that there's a whole that's what we we have a whole process for that we're so going through you saw him driving right and we have video too I don't know if that helps oh yeah if we can see anything like if he has any uh impairment cues hey this guy of the ambulance where's he at I have no idea how do he get out of the ambulance how to get out before you meet Mark let me briefly explain the situation Mark has been working as a school bus driver for years but has a secret he likes to drink on that fateful day he came to work drunk and started driving the wrong bus with 40 kids on board the school immediately called him and told him to stop but he refused later he abandoned the bus along with the children and called Emergency Services claiming he felt very ill and couldn't feel his legs however when help arrived they found no issues other than him being simply very drunk while being transported to the hospital he jumped out of the ambulance and that's where we continue the story what did I do wait wait what did I do what did I do sir stop I understand what did I do we'll explain everything in just a second all right okay okay okay oh my God can I can I go home no one second I can't go home did I do something wrong I'm sorry did I do something wrong so he jumped out of a yeah yep took off from the ambulance yep I'm sorry hey wait you're pushing me you're got hit by okay yes I was hit by a school bus okay hey I walking or [Music] driving I was driving a school bus and I was hit by a bus okay and then you the hospital and then you J back no no I didn't go to a hospital hospital no no no no I didn't go to a hospital I I I didn't do anything wrong trying to figure that out right I didn't do anything wrong you said you were driving a bus right yes I drive a school bus for The Last 5 Years okay yes I don't and I'll get arrest for what you're being detained right now so we can figure out what happened we're not doing anything right now besides trying to get information okay you were there how I how was I you were there I saw you there yesterday I saw you there I didn't work yesterday so I know how you did yeah I want that but I saw you there yesterday I don't mean to butt in yes sir but I know this guy uhhuh he's a bus driver right yeah if he doesn't have ID on or whatever his name's Mark he work department at the high school what's wrong with you guys you arresting me for what for what yeah for what what do you have all over your back my back wet your this is my my my what I went when I D drive a bus no looks like you either got puke or whatever sir okay holy ma entertaining me for this wh you're detaining me yeah so we can figure out what happened what happened we're waiting for you to tell us I told you already call my wife call my wife your wife wasn't there so how would she know my wife knows okay your wife knows you were driving a school bus right I drive a school bus for the past 5 years okay okay all right so what happened to on the school bus all I can was well my kids were not hurt that's it that's it that's it why you all I can was my kids when not heard and you know what and all the parents showed up at the bus stop and said the same thing hey you know what hey and I had I had two students two students and two parents that told me that they would stick up for me we're just trying to figure out why I'm going to go to jail I'm a good guy man I don't all I care about is my children on the buts that's all I cared about we're trying to figure out what happened you say you care about the kids on the bus some of the kids got home and were scared yes of course they were scared of course they were why because they were scared why would you be stand on school bus why were the kids scared list listen you know do you know what you're talking about man no that's why I'm trying to ask you yes yes yes all I was afraid of was the kids be being scoot up be friend on my bus I want you to tell I want to tell you what I'm observing okay when I talked to you earlier and asked you a couple questions I smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming not at all okay not at all okay with that being said not at all I understand with that being said are you willing to do fi sobriety exercises I already did one this morning you did F exercise yeah cuz I had an accident yesterday yester I had an accident yesterday A guy hit me okay a guy hit me okay okay at that point the police realized that all questions were pointless because Mark was just talking nonsense therefore he will now be arrested and taken to the police station there his blood alcohol concentration will be measured at32 which is four times higher than the legal limit and is a level that can easily lead to alcohol poisoning you really think that that would drive the F of school kids huh do you really think that that I would do that what the hell what the hell are you look like hold on give me a second sir please stop moving still don't have my sense of smell back I smelled something sweet at least you said something you know some people would have just brushed off the brush into the rug and would have been like you know what I should have I should have meanwhile in court Mark decided to show up drunk in front of the judge zorry I think you're impaired no I'm not I'm not impair at all let's go ahead and get you tested make sure that I'm not getting tested okay then what I'm going to do sir is I'm going to go ahead and take you to custody right now hey guys right here clear analyzing heart rhythm stay C of patience analyzing noock let's go let's go is this y'all's child I have a family home daycare this is one of my clients okay have we contacted them yet no I haven't called anyone or done anything yet and call yeah go ahe let's go and call them this was the beginning of an intervention that forever changed the lives of many people Amanda Hickey the owner of a family home daycare called Emergency Services due to a terrible accident at her home upon arrival the police found an unconscious baby and while EMS worked intensively to save the child's life the officers began their investigation what they would ultimately discover would send chills down your spine I put him to bed on his back but his parents say that he could roll over but I had never seen itend did you call 911 I can show you um so I I dialed it and then I think I just kept hitting it and then I think this was them calling you me back so this is the bed that Charlie was in okay I'm just going to take a quick overview of the whole room real quick and then sorry you're fine keep his face I guess is probably the best thing to do I don't know he's not going to be in it okay there you go so I laid Charlie on his back and I found him in the corner this corner R here into this position here was there a mat or is that the mat that's the M he was laying on so you said you put him down at what time um a little bit after 2 o00 I believe that would be his normal schedule like 2 or 2:30 okay so you came down at 2:45 3:45 3:45 I mean obviously if I would have known we were having an emergency I wouldn't have let him sleep but I thought he was just tired or still sleeping ready okay and there was another child in there so you put him down and picked one up right 6mon old baby was put down for a nap at this house by looks like in home caretakers came down hey Dylan what time did they come down and find him uh right before they called okay put came down to check on the baby right before they called found him face down in the bed and not breathing not conscious not alert so I noticed you have cameras they record 24/7 um I believe so yeah or is it just motion that's a great question I'm not positive okay that's okay will we be able to access those I think so get the footage like the F like the families don't it's not like 20 that I share with the family that's a no yeah I understand where the mattress pad she said that was the mattress pad but it looks like it's there's no pad in there I know that's what I said when she said that's what was sleeping on they're all like that though he was found face down in that corner top left corner uh she put him back and he she said he must roll over but they do have a camera in here that camera will reveal that Amanda didn't check on Charlie for 2 hours but that's not all later by reviewing other cameras the police will discover what was happening in her house and how she treated the children but we will save that for the end for now the investigation continues and at this moment the officers think it was an unfortunate accident I don't know what to tell them either tell them a baby had an emergency and I can I can escort you out I want to I just don't know I don't I don't know what I just yes I'll just need I'll just need an escort just give them so you hear me give them the same message to everybody I'm not sure what that message is yet but I need to tell them all something we had an emergency what do I tell them we had an emergency here today and and I'm going to be closed to like I my clothes I don't I mean as of right now this is just a um I mean it's all under investigation we we had to figure out kind of a few more things before we can classify it one way or the other okay I don't see any signs of malicious intent here no I I you can't predict the future I understand that I just don't know what to tell them to tell them that you know that you had an emergency a child had to be rushed to the hospital and leave it at that do we have an update on that hospital yet they've given him a bunch of rounds of ort nothing but it's looking like it's medical examiner will do an examination on Charlie tomorrow to try to determine what happened what what the cause and manner of death is I haven't found anything today that leads towards any type of malicious intent you know I can say that as a right two days later after reviewing all the evidence the cameras revealed that Amanda had been rough with the other children as well which raised significant suspicions about the case therefore the police knocked on Amanda's door to take her into custody hey M Amanda oh can you step out here for just a minute please okay don't you turn around got face me if it change on your back okay you're being placed under arrest okay okay do you want to talk to me if so we can go back to the police department we can talk if not you're going to go straight to the cab jail yes you do want to talk to me yes okay so then we'll go back and we'll discuss it at the interview room and then from there you'll be released to the jail okay can I tell anyone inside that that's where I'm going who's in there my daughter yeah give me call her down to the door sure my her name Natalie Natalie Miss Natalie can you come here for a moment please once she gets to the jail she'll be able to make phone calls and call and let you know about bonding and things like that but it's probably going to be a couple of days before she gets a bond okay okay you probably need to stop I I didn't hear you say felony heard you say felony murder and I I wasn't aware of that so I probably need somebody else here so if we need to go I understand so you don't want to talk to me well I would love to but I don't that is um I think that's big and I think I need someone else here does that make sense yeah okay okay so he was standing kind of like this you know looking out the window there so she comes up and then and Mr gr was standing next to him so she walks up and opens the door right and his feet are hitting it stopping the door for moment she does that four times okay then you can tell that she gets annoyed by that and that's when she grabs him right one one arm on each spins around okay and it's it's open here so he doesn't get anything so when he spins around she's not paying attention she's still looking at the door and then drops him so when he hits the ground his feet come up up over his head and he kind of rolls up uh and his feet move over to the side so that shows me a couple things one it wasn't just a gentle set down cuz his feet continued to move in the direction that he was last his momentum was going right from the from that sling has he ever come home with anything that you can remember I know I asked that the other day yeah no um no Amanda Hickey was charged with second deegree murder Reckless conduct and multiple counts of Cruelty to Children she was sentenced to 30 years in prison and 5 years of probation so um just observing you in class room it looks like something's off a little bit and so I've asked uh officer Dean to come in here I want you to understand that I care very much about you okay and I just I need to make sure you're okay I need to make sure that you're safe and I've got to make sure that the kids are safe so if there is anything that you need to help please please tell me so that we can we can help you I mean I am having I I am having a hard time and I I um did you drink something while you were here at school not while I was at school when did you drink something last night it seemed that it CH I mean your demeanor kind of changed I want you to be truthful and so um would you um be willing to take a breathalizer test if I did too yeah are you going to blow double zeros I don't know you should know if you had drank anything you should blow zeros if you drank something recently it's going to show it all right up good job you going to tell me the truth how much you had to drink I drank last night there's no way you drank last night well I did drink last night did you drink at schools he's asking tell us I didn't drink at school that's a lie Kimberly it's impossible to have such a high alcohol concentration in your system from last night that day her colleagues noticed this third grade teacher was acting strangely and no wonder since she blew at 248 which is more than three times the legal limit of course it goes without saying that in an elementary school the limit is obviously zero Kimberly can no longer save her job but she can make the situation worse which she will do next I didn't drink this SCH that wouldn't blow that right there you blew two times the legal limit I did yeah this say is pretty accurate No I know it is I know I know it is you blew like a24 I don't know what that means legal limits 8 the police officer got the math a bit wrong it's not two times but three times over the legal limit okay do you drink often unfortunately yes yes okay yeah I'm not trying to insult you I'm just trying to understand why no I I'm seeing a counselor I'm didn't a counsel about it so you haven't had anything to drink today not since well so 3:00 a.m. you have my honest opinion I think she's probably a functioning alcoholic you drank recently I just I I I know I've been having a hard time I just am am I going to get fired just honestly yes you're under the influence at school with kids that cannot happen can it not just be that it's in my blood system and that's why unless you were drank a time at like 8:00 this morning I don't think I don't know how you could still be that hot I I did drink a lot last night how much did you drink I don't too much so how many how many bottles of wine did you drink uh we had the BLS did you drink a whole box of wine half a box I won't even let you get your vehicle I'll just arrest you right now for Publican talks please don't do that then you should probably find a ride can I can I make that happen myself right now do I have to do it and right here yes we need to know somebody's we're not leaving he's not going to leave here till somebody picks you up so either you leaving a vehicle or you live in my vehicle one of the two so if if we call somebody to come and get me so then what happens after that then you're going to meet me tomorrow at my office and we'll discuss your employment so so what happens so what happens then Mr Ogle well my recommendation to the board is going to be determinate you because you're under the influence or you can resign you you won't give me like a second chance or anything no not in this situation your stories changed two or three times I don't think you're personally being honest with this well what we we think that you drank today not 3:00 a.m. we think that you've drank since you've been to school and I don't believe you're being honest with us do you want to change that story no I I mean even if I did does that make it does that make a difference to to work here I I I help me to be able to understand that maybe you know maybe do I need to be sympathetic with you a little bit I just don't believe you right now I think you're lying don't know I don't know now they will search her classroom and there they will find a large empty cup that reeks of wine Kimberly will of course immediately try to lie her way out of it but by then it would was too late for anyone to believe her to make matters worse the officer briefly turned off the camera and spoke privately with the principal during that time Kimberly wiped the cup attempting to erase the evidence which is of course punishable you may look around for alcohol no more gam right yeah other than that uh uh my juice going to try again that layer is wine I thought that was from yesterday I I drank out of that yesterday I didn't drink out of it today you I don't believe you I I drank out of that coming to work yesterday where where's the cup that you drank out of today is it in your classroom too I don't I don't think so honestly I I thought I was doing a good job today I don't know I I don't know please please please please I I'll I'll call somebody I have somebody right here having our end of year celebration um one of our other assistant principal was her supervisor and she had to let her go this year and so when she saw her she start got very upset started punching her Tru no it's my boyfriend's car ma'am what's your boyfriend's name I'm not telling you what is your boyfriend's name it doesn't matter we're trying to help you out but okay but I'm not hey well you don't got to throw your water no I have to what's going on talk to me because I try to go in there and talk to a principal what happened doesn't matter just let me drive home oh no you're not going to haven't done nothing wrong but you can't hit on somebody else's car that's not yours I don't care she does it again she goes to gym yeah the officer has just announced what we'll see next this teacher showed up at the school celebration even though she's no longer an employee of the school there she verbally attacked the person who had fired her and decided to protest drunk by their vehicle because she is drunk in public and disturbing the peace she will soon be arrested I've already talked to your boyfriend who's going to pick you up and you get to go home and then just do whatever you want to do the rest of the day right yeah so just listen to me all right person can you hear that get I hear you I hear you but please don't strike the vehicle anymore or have to take you okay Mom what are the police due to harassment and later even admitted what he had done the police soon found students who claimed that the principal was rougher than he told the cops they're running away jumping over neighbor fences into the pool they're ransacking my house for the third year in a row and I apologize for losing my cool but I've got two little kids that I've got to try to explain this to in the first year with the ketchup and the ranch was one thing then with the beer can breaking my siding was the next thing what happened tonight tonight they were doing the rans sacking of running around and when they came up my property started CH chucking the toilet paper up in my yard okay I got the one kid okay what do you mean got the one kid I got his hoodie from him okay and then they all escaped through that way okay I am so on pissed I had two traffic stops in less than 3 minutes I got a couple people ided but say they weren't involved um I know um I CH are they wearing black I well I chased a group of kids in Black all night long yeah four boys two cars and then they proceeded to circle around here looking to see if they could get me to come back out okay and then they're parking over here and they're running through people's freaking yards and I mean I am sick and tired of this there's two people on duty on the night everybody in this Town knows these kids are running through run I mean my issue is more with Chief Tim my issue is more with with Dr White like what oh sorry sorry that happened well no Dr White you don't live here and you don't have your house getting destroyed no it's uh tough luck okay I've had it okay and I and I want this kid ided on camera at school because it's a very distinctive Patagonia I I I am 90% sure I know who it is you have cameras correct did you get anything on your I turned them off so I could so they didn't get activated when these old came rolling through they were in here no Lieutenant for 25 minutes I watched them go from the Welsh I watch them go to the Nickels I watch them go around and around and around and around okay the fact that there's only two of you guys on duty tonight is utterly ridiculous okay they they are clear as day traveling in packs driving like Bandits around here and then turning their lights off when they get to the place they want to go but there's only two of you how the hell are you guys supposed to do all this I mean it's me that's had to spend $100 on cameras it's me that had to spend $400 on the siding it's me that had to spend a day power washing to get all the sh off my house I mean they have no regard for anything and I tackled right here are you tackled a kid here y That's how I got a s that's what we're looking for so can you tell me how perfect oh I got it I'll take it I'm pressing charges I I I am I just want you to be honest with me and tell me why you're here cuz I already know why you're here and we had this conversation last year yeah and so honesty was much appreciated yeah and what what did you guys do came up by a house and we we we didn't even like step in on property we just we threw two rolls didn't even stick they fell right through the tree so at what property um man manky yeah yeah okay and what happened he he ran after me and then he tackled me and then he like he like took his fingers dug it into my eyes like way more aggressively than he really should have you have any marks on your eyes right here on your neck you said your eyes I know but then he picked me up from my neck and he started like strangling me and then he started dragging me do toss like one roll like didn't even go anywhere literally just like tossed it out in the yard and then he just like ran out of his house and then what happened after that well I don't know if he like had said something I couldn't really hear or if he like swar us or said like something like I I got you guys or like I got you like effers or whatever the students received citations for vandalism and trespassing but charges against principal manky were dropped because the prosecutors could not prove that the attack happened without Reasonable Doubt n [Music]
