No, he's hurting me. >> Your kids are scared of you. The video that would have captured all this has been deleted magically. >> Children take his side because he >> and they hit on me. You need to relax. >> We're not that color. Okay, you have to stop. >> 17-year-old. >> What started as a standard response quickly took a different turn. What police uncovered revealed a terrifying reality. One that made it clear this family situation could not be left alone. >> Behind yourself. They won't pick up behind us. They just take food in. >> I didn't request for that because I didn't know I would be. >> This is when when hero cops discover a terrifying reality inside this family. Here is Law Zone where features real police body cam footage documenting how officers handle tense and unpredictable situations [music] as they happen. The first incident is that police rush in to save family of four from an extremely toxic mother. My 12-year-old was gone. Bananas there. She's breaking things because her heart is broken. >> What happened to your foot? >> My daughter. >> You need a comment? >> On October 27th, 2023, officers dispatched following a domestic disturbance report involving an argument between spouses with concern raised about a door closing on a minor's foot during the dispute. >> Hey, how we doing? >> Not too bad. So, >> not too bad. Where's >> been locked at? >> Oh, she's still in the house. I'm here. >> Oh, who logged y'all out? >> I have no idea. >> All right. Will you come here and talk to my deputy for a minute? Thank you. This is the mother. Okay. What's going on? A little bit of from her >> from her. >> Yeah. >> Your child. >> My 10-year-old just came out. Probably why I locked the door cuz >> Okay. >> My 12-year-old is just going bananas with her. We haven't had the best relationship. >> Officers check on the injured minor, observe swelling to the foot, and ask how the injury happened. The explanation given involves a door being shut during an argument upstairs >> the past couple of months. >> Okay. She's breaking things because her heart is broken. >> Carving the pumpkin and she No, it's thrown off the back deck now. >> Oh, and someone's broken because she threw it across the pumpkin. >> You okay, buddy? >> Stop acting certain way to ear. >> My foot hurts. >> Your foot hurts? What happened to your foot? >> Just the door. That door >> going up in your room. Okay. You want to sit down, buddy? Or sit down. You need some ice. Can I look at it? >> Yeah. >> Do you care if I look at it? Is that okay with you? Which one is it? >> Too bad. >> Are you okay? >> Yeah. >> You're in your room. Are these the only two children in the house? >> No. My daughter's upstairs room. She had a teenage daughter. No. Yeah. >> The mother becomes agitated when officers request access to her phone for potential evidence. Officers detain her due to resistance and lack of cooperation during the investigation. >> Stop and you won't get hurt. Give a shot. You're being detained. Give me >> What have I been getting detained for? >> I got to cut him. >> What? I will tell you that. >> STOP RIGHT NOW. YOU'RE DRAGGING [screaming] MY FACE INTO THE JAWS. >> OKAY, STOP. >> I'm going to sit down and relax for a second. Let us finish our job and we'll explain to you what's going on. >> Are you kidding me? >> No, I'm not kidding you. You want to go to jail RIGHT NOW? >> FOR WHAT? >> OBSTRUCTION. >> WHAT AM I being for? >> You refuse me accessing your phone upon >> That's not an arrestable offense. >> Yes, ma'am. It is, especially being access to grab it >> from my phone. Officers explain the reason for detention and continue documenting the injury while emphasizing the need to preserve potential evidence related to the incident. >> Explain to you. I will. >> No, sir. You're not going to speak to me like that. >> I will until you stop doing WHAT YOU'RE DOING. HOW ARE YOU? >> ARE YOU AN ADULT? >> Are you an adult? BECAUSE YOU WANT TO TELL WHAT'S going to happen? You're supposed to seize this evidence. >> For what? >> Because there's possible video evidence of the incident taking place. Okay. >> I'm telling you what's going on. Listen to me. Your son's foot is swollen. >> I did not touch my son's foot. >> You physically didn't, but the door that you slammed over on top of it did. >> Are you kidding me? >> Listen to Yeah. No, I'm not. It's pitiful that a mother would do that to their own son. >> No, sir. >> Your son told me. Your kids are scared of you now. You You really need to calm down >> and talk like a normal human being. >> I have. >> Instead of acting out. >> I have for years. >> You know what's amazing? The video that would have captured all this has been deleted magically. Let us investigate that and then we'll go from there. Right now it's not looking in your favor. >> Okay. >> So, who was down here? >> Oh, mom. >> Just you. >> Just him and dad. >> Okay. Mom. >> Well, yes. >> You were upstairs. >> I was upstairs in my room watching. >> Okay. Dad, are you okay with me talking to him? That's oneonone. >> Okay. >> Are you okay? Do you need us to have an ambulance come out and check your foot out? I'm not a medical professional. Officers separately interview family members who describe repeated arguments, door slamming property being taken or thrown, and fear during confrontations involving the mother. >> It's all the shoes. >> I mean, it it it's going to hurt. >> Yes, >> so that didn't happen from soccer. That happened from a door >> that your mother was opening. >> Okay. You have what? >> It looks different, but I remember coming downstairs and taking videos of like what our house >> looked like before. No, like this is my parents room. She like trashed it. There was more pictures and there was a mirror there. It's like there's a mirror there. >> Now, when did this happen? >> This is in June. >> Okay. So, this has been kind of ongoing. >> When did I get in trouble? >> She told me she works for a lawyer and said physical damage wasn't constitute as like she could break as much as she wanted to. She broke our TV in our bedroom. >> So, you were upstairs the whole time for tonight's incident. >> Yeah. >> And you too? >> Me and Colton were diving. Was he at home or was this just >> sitting on the couch when she came over and like took her ring and like changed everything? >> You were right there buying clothes from >> Y'all were over there with the dogs or >> Yeah. >> Is there a table over there? Oh, computer. Okay. >> And you were sitting here, sir? >> This was two days ago. So today's the 27th. You said that was on the 25th. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And her father just got noticed that he might have possible lung cancer. So she's better in a bad mood about things. I got you. >> Scream on my middle son. >> So that's his phone. >> The case is off. That hit that thing fell. It doesn't work. >> Okay. So you were upstairs tonight for tonight's incident. And I know that the incident from two days ago you were over there. But let's f I just want to focus on tonight first and then we'll look at history. Okay. So what did you hear see do tonight before we showed up? >> Um showered >> and then I suff and then my dad called me >> on the phone when you were upstairs. uh told me to send Kaden downstairs. So, I went to his room and it was locked and I was like, "Kayen, where are you?" So, he was in Colton's room. I was like, "Why is your door locked?" And he said, "I don't want mom in there." >> He said he didn't want mom in there. Okay. >> And I said, "Dad, why don't you downstairs?" And he said, "Okay." And I went back into my room. And then I heard my mom screaming, I guess, like upstairs and Kane saying, and stuff like that. And I was just >> She was upstairs in his room. >> Um I don't >> You just heard Okay. She don't know where she was. as you could like slam doors, >> but she was definitely upstairs. >> Yes. >> Think she was slamming doors. >> Okay. Could you hear anything that was being said? >> Kayen said he didn't want her like I think he didn't want her to touch his stuff. >> Okay. >> Like chunks cuz she's she doesn't like chunks. Then he was like saying ow. I guess >> he was saying ow. >> Yeah. Like he scream. >> Okay. Is that Do you know what happened? Do you know what caused that owl? >> No. >> Okay. >> So, did you come out at any point? Did you stay in your room? >> Do you stay in your room? Why do you stay in your room when this kind of stuff happens? >> Cuz like she used to get mad at me >> for getting involved. >> Well, no. Cuz I used to be like I don't listen to her so she would get mad at me. >> Has it ever been physical towards you? Has she ever been physical towards you? She has. >> Yeah. >> Not like a spanking. We can't count those. >> Like she tried burning my Jordans once. So I >> burning your Jordans. >> Like we have a fire pit down there. >> Okay. >> And I outside. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> And she was going to like burning them. So I was trying to >> How long ago that happened? But this lesson here, she's it's been controlled out versus >> who drinks the uh wine? >> Um, >> does dad drink it all? >> Okay. He drinks, but he's like coming up north, so they don't really like Wolverine. He like >> kind of like Wolverine. >> North and then they're all drinking. It's like they're all still fine. >> I got you. >> He just doesn't >> He doesn't He doesn't drink to the point where he becomes impaired. I guess what you would say. >> He kind of drinks only whenever it's like either a good We've seen like football games and baseball games. >> I like that. I like that. >> Game sometimes. >> Okay. All right. Holding up. Tell me what happened from your perspective. What you did, what you saw, what you heard. >> I was just on my Xbox and then I hear a bunch of yelling. >> I assume your Xbox is in your room. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I was just hear I thought it was my parents yelling. No, it was um Kan. >> Officers are shown the layout of the upstairs rooms and doors. Statements indicate the injury occurred while a door was being forced closed during a confrontation. >> Mom and then mom was trying to shut the bones room door so then she can cuz we have a connected bathroom so then she can get into canyon from the connected bathroom. Kane came in through the bonus room afterwards and she tried to pull him off the couch to get him out of the bonus room and then um whenever he wasn't getting out she went through the connected bathroom and locked the bathroom doors and then that's whenever his foot got slammed on the door and it was like Colton get a ladder so we can unlock the key. And I was like I don't really want to get involved in this but then he got key somehow he got a key. He doesn't know how to unlock doors, but I do cuz my mom taught me because mom was downstairs and already like I don't know. >> This is downstairs. >> This is right. >> So then she came downstairs, put all the stuff in her room and I don't know where she went then after I unlocked Kaden's room and he just wanted to know what was there and what wasn't. >> Okay. So did you see his foot get squished? >> So the bonus room is like here and then Colton's room is right here and this is the bathroom. So then like next >> there's a door in my sink area. It was about like that big. >> Hold on. Let me see if they're down here. We'll go up there and you can show me. This is his room. >> Okay. >> This is the connected bathroom. >> This is the bonus room. >> Yeah. This is connected bathroom. So there's two doors right here. So I think his foot got slammed like right here while trying to push the door open. This door can get locked because it's part of the bathroom and Okay. >> Yeah. And then this door also can get locked, but it's unlocked for me. >> And this is his room right now. >> Did she come in here at all? >> Yeah, she did. And she took his Xbox. >> So, what's the point in taking his Xbox? >> I don't know. >> She doesn't like screen time and stuff. >> Okay. >> So, she like Xboxes and fixt agree on that. >> Yeah. Whenever I get grounded, she'll take that. But >> she forgot to put my screen time back on. So, I don't have any screen time on my phones. But the boys both have like time limits and stuff like that. >> You can give time. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Like screen time. >> We have 2 hours a day on Xbox, but if we do like something to help out the house, my dad will add >> down time, app limits, communication limits, safety limits. >> So she can control all that from her phone. >> Yeah. But my dad can only control the Xboxes. >> So she gets to control everything else. >> Yeah. >> She gets to control the phone. So my dad controls like TV, >> other other stuff. I got you. You were in your room. Yeah. I was just sitting right there. >> Okay. And this is the door where he was here. >> Yeah. He was here trying to open the door like this. >> She was in here. >> Yeah. She was make sure he couldn't get in by >> Why was she trying to >> She didn't want him in his room like preventing her from taking his Xbox probably. I'm guessing. >> Okay. And you were there. Was your door open or closed? >> Open. >> Open. I normally keep it open just because like I want to know what's going on right there. >> So you saw him standing here? Yeah, I saw him standing there trying to push the door open. >> She walked in corner sitting in here and then Kaden was standing next to him. >> She's mad like her TV >> in her room or in here. She normally likes >> in the basement. >> How long has that been going on? >> I don't know. I don't know. >> Are they just staying together for y'all or trying to >> because like either after my mom like apologizes whenever she just >> it's always it's always at night. She never >> is or is she anyone though? >> I think I have a general idea of what occurred. Let me see your foot one more time. Officers discuss prior reported incidents between the adults, including alleged physical contact and document statements about alcohol consumption earlier in the evening. >> Buddy, >> I think it's all been >> Is this where the door hit? >> Mhm. >> Right there. Okay. There's a bottle of wine in the trash. I don't >> Yeah, that's that's So, >> Unless you had You had something, right? >> Yeah, I probably >> Which is fine. I'm not judging. >> Right. >> I'm not I'm not judging >> in terms of lumping. >> I know. >> But in terms of uh I could say 50 Yeah, that's so >> Would this be full or? >> It was full. I bought five new bottles of Echo money. >> 500? >> No, five new bottles. >> Oh, okay. >> It's good. If you buy six, >> you buy five, you get one free. >> No, you get 10% off the Dawson 400. >> Yeah, you just bring the bag what they have. >> Okay. >> All right. This is what I have. That's >> okay. >> Hey, no judgment. I'm just trying to get an idea of where >> I know I've been trying to the past couple weeks, you know, completely under control in case something like this happens. Advice from my father. So, any point did she become physical with you? And I'm sure you've already talked to him about that. Not >> today. >> Okay. And I know two days ago you tried to apparently you were forced to eat a ring or almost forced to, I guess. >> Wait, what? >> Something like that. >> You were uh not here. >> Yeah, you're um here for that. >> I don't want you guys to talk. I don't want you guys thinking. >> I mean, she has hit you before. It's never okay, but sometimes things happen with adults that children shouldn't have to see or hear deal with. >> I was just telling them I said um Thursday I tried to talk to the boys about Wednesday at night and they were like it's just you know they're used to it and I was talking to my counsel. >> I mean they're in here talking to me like they're used to it and that's not a common >> that was pointed out to me today when I see a counselor Friday and he said you know if you're setting your boys up to be like you just same thing my dad you know mom's whale the [ __ ] out of you they just take it cuz he's champion boxer, >> you know. >> Yeah. >> Used to getting punched >> and you have a heck of a horse over here. >> That's a blind great name. >> But they explained to me [laughter] like, wow. Okay. >> Did not know that that pattern. It's called double merurl. Okay. >> White, black, and gray. >> So, it's two parents who are merl have a litter. >> Then there's an 8% chance that they become double merurl, which is the two recessives, and they have about 100% chance of going blind. So glitter >> seven >> seven her and another one of that color and the rest of them are all plain. >> She's the only one that got blind. >> It's okay. >> The other one's smaller, too. >> If you're spiritual, uh they would say things happen for a reason. >> Uh last year around Christmas, she jumped on my lap when I was sitting on the couch being blind and put two paws uh into my crotch and a testicular hematoma. She had to go see the doctor for to make sure my uh >> yeah rupture. >> There you go. >> The next day I looked down. I said, "Oh my god." >> I bet on his phone. >> Yeah. Like it. >> Where did his phone go? >> I tried charging. >> Like it works when you can't see. >> So were you down here when she threw the phone? >> Yeah. The second I gave it to her. >> She asked for his phone. He gave her it. Actually, the seeds used to be sitting here. So it just fell down in the seeds. >> Okay. Hence why the seeds were I guess you had them in the oven or something. You had them in the cabinet. >> I was afraid. Yeah. Are those thing up? I was afraid she was going to check the both seats. >> Right. Right. Were you sitting here when you gave her the phone? >> Oh, no. I was over there. >> You over there? >> Cuz I was about to go up to avoid the conflict and I >> trying to separate from the situation. Okay. >> Give me your phone and then I gave her. >> So, she threw it from over there. >> Yeah. And it hit >> Were you over here when this occurred? >> I was actually right about here. So, >> she throwing it at you? >> She was trying to hit me and it, you know, but it came in pretty hot cuz in a case >> I mean Yeah. And the cases over there on the stairs. Well, he tried picking up the case. >> I got you. >> So, tonight's incident stemmed with dad made a comment to her about I guess her dad potentially having lung cancer, but he's been a smoker, right? >> He made a comment to her about, well, I mean, what do you expect? He's been a smoker, but you don't confirm he's got cancer. That didn't make her too happy. >> Mhm. >> They're also going through a separation or divorce or whatever they >> I don't know. He's going through his just got separated from his job. He called it restructured. He was on severance, so kind of caused some stress apparently is what he said. So, she's been drinking. He can smell it on her. I I think dad has to. >> He has to. He admitted to >> Dad said tonight she came out of the room, came by, made a comment about, you know, how would you feel if somebody blamed you for, you know, having cancer or something like that? Well, then she knocks off the pumpkin recording on the ground. It cracks. So, dad picks it up, she over, yanks the ring camera out of the >> based on statements, visible injury, and prior allegations. Officers place the mother under arrest and explain the charges before transporting her. the wall, which then knocks the vases off the wall. Then she takes the pumpkin, throws it out the window, which Kayen and her start engaging in a verbal, like a verbal argument, which then in turn directs her to go say, "Okay, well, since you just didn't argue, you're arguing with me, I'm make your stuff." So, she goes up to his room, which is why he follows, tries to get into the bathroom, and then his foot's in the he shuts the door, tries to pull him out, I guess, away from the room. He holds on to the couch. Then, she gets in there, goes in, gets stuff, takes it, puts it in her room. Dad calls us. talking to dad. Dad said there was another incident that her occurred on Wednesday where she came out of the room, threw her wedding at him. He took it, threw it behind him. She apparently got the ring, tried to shove it in his mouth, and then according to like a wrestling match, she bit his finger trying to get his ring off, which she's got an actual visible mark on his fingers. The effects of the incident having on the children is different. >> Here's the deal. Right now, you are detained, but you are not under arrest. Okay? and being detained is the fact that we were asking about not having access to your phone. So, them in there. Okay. So, do you want to talk to me about what transpired tonight? >> I don't have anything to share. >> So, you don't have anything to share about what's going on tonight? >> I'm glad that my husband, who got fired the end of August, is my job at this point. The only one is paying the kids bills and the bills of the home. >> What do you do for a living? >> This is embarrassing. >> I'm not trying to harm you. I'm just trying to talk to you right now. >> Okay. >> This is not okay. >> There's a lot that's not okay tonight. >> We do have to ask questions. That's why I asked if he had anything to drink. Had he been drinking anything tonight? >> Are you kidding me? >> No, that's an honest question. >> Yes. >> Okay. What is he? >> He hasn't been inside a lot. >> I remember I ain't been so >> multiple martinis >> tonight. >> Yes. >> Okay. Is he on any medication? >> I don't know what he's saying. >> Excuse me. No, this hurts me. Okay. Thank you. You guys big strong men. Thank you so much. >> Get your shoes. >> You are kidding me right now. >> No, ma'am. Take a seat. So, >> who bails me out? My husband? >> No, he won't be able to. >> Oh, yes. Great. So, who bails me out? >> Officers charged the woman with two counts of simple battery and two counts of cruelty to minors in the third degree. Remember, domestic disturbances can escalate quickly, and clear communication with responding officers is critical during an investigation. Preserving evidence and remaining calm can significantly affect how situations are assessed by authorities. This is the reaction of netizens [music] to this situation. This situation felt chaotic from the start and it just kept escalating. You can see why officers had to slow everything down and separate people. Hard to watch, especially with everyone talking at once. Think this situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. The next incident is when 12year-old's quick 911 call rescues him from a truly twisted home life. >> Kitchen. >> Why you not in school? >> Because they refuse to go to school. I'm tired of being talked to and treated like I I don't matter. They want to tell me what I can do, what I can't do. Tell me I don't live here. >> You aren't going to no defense. On February 25th, 2025, a young family member reports being struck and restrained during a dispute inside the home, prompting a 911 call and law enforcement response. >> Come to me, >> please. >> Keep that dog on the porch. I don't know what the deal is with that dog. >> Make sure the food up there don't get it. Put the dogs in the house. He's at >> He's the problem. >> No, he ain't the problem. They are the problem. >> Okay. Well, hold on. Slow down. I want to talk to the kids first. All right. They made a phone call. Who made the call to the sheriff's office? >> All right. How about do me a solid? I'm going to talk with them. Then I'm going to talk with you. Then I'm going to put it all together. Fair enough. All right. And who's the parents of the young? >> They're not here. >> They're not here. >> No, they leave. They go back two or three or four days at a time. >> All right. Who called you? >> You did. >> Come here. >> Savannah called. I heard >> this one here. >> Well, he called him, >> right? You came here. >> But she talked to me. Come on. Y'all two come here. And what are you? You're like y'all brothers and sisters. >> Okay, you know what happened. Okay, I'm going to give it y'all together. Okay, so do me a solid. Huh? >> The reporting youth describes an argument with a grandmother figure that escalated to physical contact near the couch and wall followed by involvement from an adult relative. >> Okay, you don't have anything to do with this. You go off to the side. What happened? >> Tell the truth, too. Okay. >> Yeah. do. >> Me and my grandma, >> look at me when you talk. >> Me and my grandma, we was in a we was in an argument. It started out like this. >> Who's grandma? That lady right there. Okay. >> I was sitting on the couch singing a song she didn't like. She was like, "Stop." Cuz she was just cussing at me and stuff. >> So, I was just ignoring her, singing my little song. And then she going to get up and say, "If you don't stop, I'm going to push you off the couch." I said, "No, you ain't. You're not going to touch me." >> Okay. >> And she comes over there and she tries and I said, "Stop. Don't do that." >> Okay. >> But I didn't fall off the couch. And then she um sticks her fingers in my um skin right here. >> Okay. >> I try to like get her off of me, but it didn't work. And then she puts me up against the um wall by the our couch in there right there at that corner. >> Yes, sir. >> She starts slapping me in my face. >> Okay. >> And then she made me accidentally hit my papa, but nothing needs to fall on my papa. Had four strokes. Okay. >> He don't know what's going on. >> Okay. >> And then he know it triggered something in his old mind. >> Okay. >> And he started hitting me. A second youth states they witnessed the adult relative place their hands around the reporting youth's neck and move him across the room. >> I don't want to let make nothing follow him. >> Okay. >> All right. >> After that, another argument started. Forgot what it was about. And then my uncle came in >> and um at first he slapped me in the back of my head and I said, "You don't have no reason to hit me." Then you can see the the black marks on it where he used to >> Okay. >> And um and picked me up and walked me to the other side of the kitchen. >> Okay. Because I said he ain't have no reason to hit me. He said, "I got every right to hit you." And then that's when he picked me up and did that and walked me to the other side of the kitchen. >> Okay. And marks on your face, anything like that? >> No, but she has on all them rings on her fingers. >> Okay. She was hitting you or she slapping you? >> She was slapping. >> Okay. Does it hurt anything? No. >> It hurt a little bit at the crying. >> All right. You heard what he said, right? Did you know maybe what happened? >> I didn't hear what he talking about, but I do know because he was in the wall. Only thing I saw was when he had My uncle had walked in the kitchen. I heard him say, "You don't have to." Well, that was when he said, "You don't have to slap me in my head." That was >> Who who said that? >> K. >> Okay. >> And then that's when my uncle came in there. He said, "I got all rights to get you something like that." >> Another sibling provides limited observations confirming raised voices and physical proximity, but not all details. >> By his neck and started walking with him, his face like turned. >> Okay. Then so you saw the uncle grab him by the neck and start walking with >> and I saw push him against the couch and and then yesterday she had see she was pushing him in the face and she put his head through the window. >> Okay. Yesterday but today um >> today they both was off being here. >> Okay. You saw mama slapping it? >> Yeah. I seen something >> and you saw him grab him around the neck. >> Yeah. >> You say picked him up and start walking with you? >> Yeah. >> Walking with him where? >> Cuz it's the kitchen and the dining room together and he started walking with him. >> Okay. Did you say anything to him or what did you mean? >> I was shocked. >> You just stayed back and kept quiet. >> Yeah. If so, he said he wanted to talk for >> Okay. Is this your brother? >> Mhm. >> Okay. What is this? >> That's my sister. >> That's your sister. Who's old? Is she? >> Mhm. >> Hey. All right. Tell me your story. I was in my room and then I looked out like out the hallway and I saw my sister like a sharp face >> and then I like walked out and I and my uncle like came in his hands. >> In his hands where the neck doing what? >> Waiting. >> Okay. Okay. All right. You seeing anything else what grandma was doing? You didn't see anything? Just >> officers question why the youths were not at school and confirm no immediate medical complaints requiring emergency transport. >> Okay. All right. You know what the argument was about? >> She had asked him to turn up the house and we was doing something. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Let me try. >> All right. Talk to me. >> We was doing something so kind of ignored her. >> Okay. >> And then I guess he was in the living room. >> Okay. >> And she started talking. Did anybody else get their hands put on? Just him? >> No. >> Okay. >> My brother told me if I kept on talking, he was going to slap me, too. >> Who said that? >> He said if you kept on talking, he was going to slap you, too. Okay. Uh, did you say anything to him to, you know, stop? Well, get your hands off my brother. >> Yeah. >> I was like, Bubba, why would you do that? >> Uhhuh. >> And then >> with Bubba. >> No. >> Okay. >> That's what we call him. >> Mhm. >> And then he said if he would shut up, I'll do it to you, too. >> But he says stop, too. >> Okay. And I said, "And I walked away." I was like, "You ain't going to touch me." >> All right. You read and write. >> Mhm. >> You did. You went. How far in school you gone? You still in school? >> Is it school today? >> Yeah. School. >> Why you not in school? >> Cuz you refuse to go to school. >> Why you not in school? >> Mr. B. >> You missed the bus. >> Get up and go. >> Okay. All right. Where's your mom and dad at? >> All right. He was in the house, but you didn't see. The grandmother admits to striking the youth, citing ongoing discipline and household conflict. Officers advise that the matter is criminal in nature. >> Okay. Just stay right there, ma'am. All right. I'm talking with the kids. What's your story? >> What's my story? I'm tired of being talked to and treated like I I don't matter to you and I'm dirty. Okay. >> They tell me I got to get out to take my house. >> Right. Let me stop you right there cuz this is a criminal matter right now. I'm going to explain your rights to you. Okay. You got the right to remain silent. Anything you say can will be used against you in the court of law. You still want to talk to me and tell me your side. I'm going ask you a question. First question is, what's your name? >> Patricia Frasier. >> Frasier. >> Frasier. >> And >> this is my ex-husband Fraser. He lives here. >> Okay, cool. So, uh, >> I've been here a year with him, taking care of him. He's had four strokes. >> Okay. >> These youngans are out of control. >> On today's date, this date, this time, did you happen to uh put your hand slap this young man? >> I did. You did. And may I ask you why would you do that? >> Because I'm tired of being talked back to. I'm tired of him telling me that he ain't got to do a damn thing I'll say. >> Okay. Okay. Where's the parents? >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> Becky's got her income taxes and they gone just like they do every year. They won't be back in the picture until the money's gone. >> Yes, sir. >> In the meantime, we got the youngans. >> Yes, ma'am. >> They won't listen. They won't go to school. They won't do nothing. This is the fourth time the public's been out here. >> Yes, ma'am. Thank you for your cander. I appreciate your honesty. Okay. >> The adult relative explains intervening by grabbing the youth to separate him from the grandmother, acknowledging contact around the neck while denying intent to cause harm. >> Not going to stand up and let my 11-year-old grandson stand up and tell me that I cannot take and tell him what to do. And him tell me that he don't have to listen to a damn thing I say. >> The uncle behind the house. What does he tell you? >> He's my son. >> That's your son. >> That's my son. And these are my grandkids. >> All right. Anybody else in the house? >> No. >> Everybody's out here. Everybody's out here except for my son. He's up under the truck. My son has heard me ask these junkers for 45 minutes this morning. Okay. >> All I asked them to do was to get up and help clean up. We all done it together. It wouldn't take 15 minutes. Yes, ma'am. >> They look at me and tell me we ain't doing a damn thing. >> Okay. >> You can't make us do [ __ ] >> What they tell me. Let's not forget the fwords. Yesterday we got into it hot. And I left walking. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I didn't come back till this morning. >> Okay. >> Because they look at me. They tell me I have no rights here. I don't live here. I live in the camper. I'm here to take care of him. That's what I come here for a year ago. He asked me to come here and take care of him. >> Okay. >> Why should I have to take and listen to disrespectful kids that won't get up and go to school, won't do nothing you ask them. All they interested in doing is making messes. >> Yes, ma'am. >> They won't clean up behind the stuff. They won't pick up behind theel. They just take food out of cabinet, open it up, and leave it. >> Okay. >> I am not their maid. >> Yes, ma'am. >> If they want to live here, they need to participate in this family. If not, they got to go. >> All right. Fair enough. Thank you, ma'am. This is sister. Yes, sir. >> All right. Did you see a witness any of this >> telling the truth? You was just in the back room. Did you hear any commotion or anything? >> You did? Did you come out the room to see what was going on? >> I was about to, but it was too late. >> Okay. Are you heard anywhere? Anything like this? Yes, sir. >> Okay. Are you beat up? Why y'all not in school today? >> Cuz we missed the bus. >> You missed the bus. Okay. You heard what she said, right? Yes, >> sir. >> Are you a rebellious kid? Do you talk back or anything like that to her? I mean sometimes apologize I think. >> Okay, I got you. You miss seen your uncle grab him and nothing like they just in the other What were you doing in the other room? >> Uh playing with my sister and cleaning up that room trying to fix up. >> Okay, cool. Where's your mom and daddy's at? >> I can't really tell you. So I really don't know. >> How long y'all been staying? 5 years. >> Anybody in the house working? >> No, sir. >> No. How y'all feed yourself, support yourself? Anything like that? >> Cook. >> Cook. Okay. Y'all like it here? >> Yeah. you know. Well, you do. Okay. All right, then. So, do me a favor, man. Just uh appreciate you talking to me. Thank you. Okay. You know, you can say anything. Don't be afraid. You know, if you know something, tell me, you know, why we here, okay? You know, we're here to to listen to everybody's story, but we also here to help you. Okay? Are you in danger? Yes, sir. >> No. Tell them truth. >> You good? >> You know, I'm here to help you now. Don't be afraid. I got you. >> Okay. You feel me? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. What's your son's name? >> Can I talk to you now, sir? Yes, sir. >> Okay. Thank you. You want to talk to me? Give me your side of the story. >> Yes, sir. I sure do. >> All right. So, my question first, the young man called said that you grabbed him around the neck, picked him up. My question, why I'm out here working on my truck? >> Yes, sir. >> My mama's in there trying to get them to help clean up. >> Yes, sir. >> None of them want to do anything. >> Okay. >> She's talking to the little one. She's >> Yes, sir. >> asks him to help clean up. He's standing up straight up cussing her out, >> calling her and everything. And I can hear him from out here. >> That's mama. That's your mama. >> Yes, sir. That's their grandma. >> Yes, sir. >> When I heard that, they kind of got me a little bit. I walked in the house. He was in her face yelling. >> Okay. Where were you at? He was outside. >> I was outside working. >> And you can hear commotion in the house. >> All the way in the house. Yes, sir. I walked inside. He was in her face yelling. Okay. >> So, I come up from behind him. I grabbed him and I moved him. I didn't choke him or anything like that. I just moved him out of her face. not break him like that by the neck. I just moved him. >> I didn't squeeze real hard. I mean, I got grease on my hand and stuff like that, so I know that's on his neck. Other than that, that's all it was. I didn't >> put verbal or anything like that. He was in there. >> Officers collect consistent accounts from multiple household members about slapping, grabbing, and physical movement during the dispute. Witnesses describe verbal escalation and physical contact on more than one occasion. >> Cussing at my mom and I done had enough. And this is a everyday thing. It started this morning at 6:00 >> when they was supposed to go to school. >> Okay. >> I'm sitting there waiting for them to get on the bus. They all acted like they they was going to the bus. >> Mhm. >> Well, I thought they was on the bus. I come out here a little while later going my sister's camper and they all in the bed sleeping there. Okay. >> At 6:5, what are y'all doing? Y'all supposed to be in school. That's when all this started. >> Gotcha. >> And they've been in a uproar ever since. >> Okay. Step over here. See that girl right there with the white shirt on? >> Yes, sir. >> You see the girl with the uh purple shorts on? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Question. And you had the young man there by the neck. Girls here stated that uh why would you want to do that? Did you tell her and this is a question if you don't shut up you going to get the same thing? >> No, I did not. >> All right. Did you have any communication with her? Did you say >> I I told them all >> okay >> that they here for a reason because their mama's out doing her own thing which >> I got you >> is typical of my sister. She comes over here drops them off and just hauls for weeks at a time. Don't bring them no food, no groceries, nothing. and they expect us to support her. >> Uhhuh. >> She was sitting there running her mouth to me after I done grabbed Kane >> and I told her about her mom. I said, "If your mama wanted y'all, y'all would be with her. Y'all wouldn't be here." That's the only thing I said. >> I got you. You have any questions whatsoever? >> No. I mean, usually I don't have no problem out of them. You know, they look up to me. They love me to they yelling at her their grandmother. I mean, >> I can't put up with that. I mean, I didn't mean to grab him by the neck, but I just it was rage, you know, and he was in there yelling at my mom and all that. So, I just grabbed him and just moved him out the way. I did not choke him or anything like that. >> But there too, again, you say you grabbed him around the neck. >> I grabbed him with two hands around your neck >> and you moved >> and moved him out of her face. Yes, sir. >> Okay, fair enough. Thank you for your cander. Me and Rut going to have a talk and we may have some further questions. Fair enough. All right, cool. You have a question or something you want to talk say? >> Yeah, I got a question. >> Okay. My husband has got a court date on the 27th about these young not going to school. Yes, ma'am. >> He's had four strokes. He's not able to appear in court and talk on his behalf because he can't talk plainly. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I left here yesterday because of the same mess. >> They want to tell me what I can do, what I can't do. Tell me I don't live here and all this that and the other. Get in my face and threaten me. Well, today I've had enough of it. Okay? >> They don't want to listen. They don't want to go to school. I mean, and Steven's heard me. I've asked them over and over and over 45 minutes heard me ask them, "Please get up. Help me clean up. It won't take us long." >> Right. >> They want to be smart mouths. They want to cuss. They want to do this. They want to do that. But they don't want to do what you ask them to do. They want to tear stuff up. >> Right. And you say today you just had enough. >> I've had enough. Yesterday I left walking. I walked from here all the way up past that white house up here on the left hand side of the road. >> Yes, ma'am. >> And somebody picked me up and I was sitting on the side of the road. I was just a crime. Okay. >> Because they told me I don't live here. I have no right to tell them what to do or anything else. >> Okay. >> It don't matter whether I've got any rights. I am their grandmother by blood. >> Okay. What other adults stay here besides you? Y'all three? >> And him? My husband? >> Just y'all three? >> Yeah. Because my daughter's in and out. She She brings them in, drops them off and wakes us up in the middle of the night and tells us make sure they get up and go to school. >> Okay. What's the daughter's name? >> Letty Rebecca Sal. >> And these are her children. >> All four of them are her children. >> You have her contact information? >> I don't have any on her. Okay. >> Because she's in and out. She does what she wants to when she wants to and ain't nobody supposed to say nothing about it. >> Okay. Well, thank you, ma'am. Um, >> medical and behavioral effects are noted by the young person. Dizziness, lightadedness after being lifted. Officers visually inspect for injury and document marks consistent with the reported contact. >> Me and Lieutenant going to talk. Okay. Uh-huh. He got grease marks around his neck. That's And that is He definitely put his hands on him. >> You know, if anything else, he definitely got simple battery. He grabbed him. That's thing. I don't see redness. I just see the marks itself. >> It's because the old >> right. >> He picked him up, told him. >> How'd he pick you up? >> Oh, like I did. >> You come off your feet? >> Yeah. Like I was going dizzy. >> Uhhuh. >> I went lightheaded. Like >> stuper. Okay. It's called stuper. >> When he did, when he set me down, I was like really dizzy. Lightheaded like >> Okay. >> All I know, you got to ask my sister if I was in the air or not, but I know for a fact I was moving my feet in the air. >> Okay. You say grandma slap you? Sure. >> And you say she grabbed which one? This one right here. All right. The end goal here, folks, is uh we want to listen to the whole story. Okay. We don't want you to be lying to the police. Want you us to tell the truth, right? Told me the truth, right? Are you lying? >> Yes, sir. You telling me the truth, right? Okay. And you was in the bedroom and you didn't see nothing till you come out. It was like it was over with, right? Okay. And all you was doing just whistling. What you whistling? What? What's the tune? >> It's just like a rap song. >> A rap song. >> It's not It's just like no words. It's like, okay, it's gooey gooey thing. >> Okay. Okay. But you just whistling. She didn't like it. She told you to stop it. You said just whistling, right? You kept whistling. >> No, I wasn't whist. I was physically singing. >> You was physically singing it. Okay. She said stop, but you did you stop right away or did you say no or what? What did you >> I was like, I'm not bothering nobody. >> After completing interviews and advising on rights officers, place the grandmother under arrest and notify child protective services and detectives to follow up. >> Okay. And then >> looking at the TV and more heard cussing me and you sitting in the chair, she gets up and walked towards you. Yes, sir. >> And then you say she grabbed your arm. >> First she tried to push me off the couch. >> She tried to push you off the couch. >> Cuz I was sitting on the arm of the couch >> and she said, "If you don't stop, I'm going to push you off the couch." And I said, "No, you ain't. I'm doing nothing wrong to you." >> Okay. And then she slapped you. >> Yes. >> How many times? >> Cuz she tried to She did her nails and my skin. >> So, and then that's when I was like I said, "Stop. Get off me." And then she said, "I'mma get off of you." All right. >> Mhm. >> And then that's when um I try to like push away from her. Like that's when she pushed me up against the wall. So she hit me in the face. >> How many times did she hit you she? >> Maybe like three times, maybe four. >> That's it, right? Telling me the truth. >> Honest truth. Okay. Anybody told you to make up this stuff or you telling me the facts? Okay. All right. Cool. All right, guys. After hearing the totality of circumstances and reading Miranda to you, you under arrest and you under arrest. Okay? You have the right. Somebody's got to be here. Somebody's got to be here. >> We We got We got defects. Our child protective service coming out here and we going to hang tight till they get out here cuz they going to want to talk with you guys. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, that's where we at with it right now. Want you to clearly understand. I appreciate your cander and your honesty. We're not the boogeyman, but this is just the nature of the beast. Okay. So, that's where we at with it right now. I would advise you just to exercise your rights that I gave to you. Don't say anything else to us. If you do, cameras on. Anything you say will and be used against you at the court of law. You have any questions. Exercise your rights. Turn around. Put your hand behind your back. >> If you know the mother's number or >> I don't have any way of getting in touch with her. >> Okay. >> They taking no defense. >> Y all going. IT'S JUST FAULT. IT'S ALL FOUR OF Y'ALL. YOU GOING TO STAY IN SCHOOL. You can't stay IN SCHOOL FOR FIGHT. >> NO, IT'S ON YOURSELF. BUT ME and Bubba's going to jail for us. >> The reason they're going to jail for >> the woman was charged with firstdegree endangerment battery and two counts of thirdderee endangerment. Remember, when a domestic incident involves physical contact, prompt calm reporting and cooperation with responding officers helps preserve evidence and protect those involved. Multiple witness statements and visible marks can shape how investigators document and charge an incident. This is the reaction of nizens to this situation. Tough to listen to. Glad the young person made the call and officers responded. Important reminder that caregivers can be charged when discipline crosses into physical harm. The uncle looks like he was trying to deescalate, but the situation clearly escalated quickly. You think the officers were out of options here? Watch what happens next on the body cam and tell us if you would have done the same. The next incident is when police rush in when mom's fight with her teen daughters explodes. >> And I told my mom, you know, I just hope that she would go to the grave cuz it's just it's been a lot. My mom has a us like since we were little. >> They were just all like this literally. I'm sorry. >> Are you okay with that? >> Yeah, I'll go. On January 5th, 2024 officers responded to a reported family dispute after several adult sisters were asked to leave the residence with heightened emotions and verbal conflict occurring outside the home. >> My little sister, she just put her hands on me. I didn't touch her at all. >> Where's your little sister at? >> She's inside. She started swinging on me and my other sister. I didn't touch her cuz I'm not trying to go to jail. I did not touch her at all. She t me. >> They saw my girl. I need you guys to hang out with here. Ma'am, we're going to have to put you in handcuffs if you don't listen. Just listen. >> They took our phone and everything. >> We're just trying to figure out what's going on. I'll have you hang out here with me. My partner's going to go inside and try and figure out what's going on. >> Okay. I need you guys to go over here. >> Walk with me with me. >> She's a liar. >> We're talking about Can you step outside, too? >> Get my phone. >> I'm going to have to put you in our >> We can just do it. Please. >> We can just do it. >> Stop. >> Hey, Mom. I need you to back up. I need you to back up. >> I'm sorry. She's only 17. >> She's 17 ft. >> She hurt her face. >> She heard me last. She hit me. She got my hair first. >> Do not go back in the house. Just hang out. Everybody with you in a second. >> Officers explain that restraints are being used due to aggressive behavior and direct everyone to remain outside while statements are gathered. To relax. >> She's only 17. She really did get beat up right there. Literally, I >> She's 17. >> Yes. >> And they hit on me into my hair. You need to relax. You charging at them is not going to help anything. >> I was having you. >> The handcuffs can come off as easily as they went on, but you need to breathe. You need to try and relax and try and figure out what you need to do to calm down so that we can figure out what's going on. How old are you? >> 17. >> 17. Okay. All right. Come over here and we'll just have a seat on this CURB RIGHT HERE. >> CALLED YOU. >> HEY, come out here. >> Stay outside. Come out here. We all need to talk. Okay. Everyone cool down. Stay outside. >> I'm not inside. Are you kidding me? here. >> Get away from the vehicle and calm down. >> Arrested for what? I didn't do nothing. >> It doesn't matter. >> He said stay outside. I'm right here. >> We're not going to get a fair chance. We are We're not that color. Okay. You have to >> family members identify relationships and explain that one adult sister was no longer permitted to stay at the residence and had been told to collect belongings. >> Stop. >> Tell her it doesn't matter. So, don't even think about that. >> A little both of you. You need to stop. >> Just calm down, please. >> I need both of you to breathe. All of you step away from the vehicle so we can talk and figure this out. Please >> I'm not surprised that punch me in the face. >> You 17y old. >> So >> yeah, she's going to jail. >> So what officer you want to listen to? >> Yes. Give me a second. >> Sorry. >> All right. How are you guys related? She's our mom. >> That's unrelated. Mother, she gave birth to us. That's it. >> I'm just a friend. >> Just a friend. >> Yes. >> Friends, mom, sister. >> They're all they're sisters. Us three sisters. >> That's our mom. >> Mom. So, the reason you're in handcuffs right now is because of how you acting. We're trying to make things calm down by you screaming and hollering at her and saying, "Try it isn't going to work." >> And she doesn't get handcuffs and she's doing that. >> She's going to get handcuffs if she doesn't chill out. >> Statements indicate that when the adult sister attempted to enter the residence, pushing and hair pulling occurred among multiple parties near the doorway. >> Sister, the one that's smaller, >> the one leaning up against the car. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> She was no longer allowed in the house. >> Like, what do you mean by that? She's no longer allowed in the house. Does she live here with you? >> No, she stayed here for a second, but she's not on a lease. She has no right to actually be in this house. >> Okay. Whose house is it? >> My mother's. >> Is your mother the same mother as her? >> Yes, but she's of 18 and she doesn't belong in this house. She was on no lease or anything. She got her stuff put outside. She came and grabbed it. My older sister just got dropped off by my grandpa Danny. He's in that car, white one. She said she's going to grab her stuff, pack it up. So, that's what happened. She started telling me, she told my mom to go herself so she can go spit on her grave. So, I said the same exact thing back to her. We didn't get in no physical fight or anything. She's upstairs putting our stuff away. My mom called the cops. The cops on the phone the whole time. And then I guess Jocelyn, the older one, the bigger one. She called my sister. She said, "Come help me get my stuff." We said, "You can bring your stuff out to her." But she's not coming inside his house. I don't know if it was my mom or my or Joselyn, but they man I think it's Jos managed to get the door open. And then they started barging in. She pushed me. And so I pushed her back and so she grabbed my hair pulling me. I grabbed her hair back. I landed on the ground. As soon as Johnson saw that I was pulling her hair or as soon as I let go her hair was on the ground, I got up. Johnson saw me. She started yelling at me and she >> Officers conduct separate interviews documenting claims of physical contact between siblings and the mother during attempts to block entry into the home. >> She started grabbing my hair and so I did the same thing back to her. >> I wish you my grandfab. You have you have to stop. >> You want to go hand. >> Why would I go in handcuffs? I have I can speak. I can speak. I have the right to speak. That's a vert. That's a vert. >> I have the right to speak. >> That's a threat. >> You're being aggressive. So >> threat, but I told her she can't. >> I told you. >> Yeah, that's not a threat. >> It's aggressive. I'm trying to tell. >> It is aggressive. And I can't put you and I will put you in handcuffs if you don't calm down. >> Really? Do you not hear her over there? >> She always handcuffs. It's crazy. >> Everything. That woman has beat on us. She's a us. I can't tell you. Everybody doesn't see what she does. >> Okay. Didn't I I talked to you earlier. Didn't I say to handle it civily? >> It doesn't work that way. >> It clearly does not work. >> This is how it all happened that way. >> So, she threw all of our stuff outside. I've been at the hospital with my grandma all day long. She's had surgery. So, I'm coming into this. >> Obviously, this all started. I know how it started. She kicked you guys out of the house. Am I correct? >> Yes. Because we already Yes. So, we already talked to her. I told her that I had the on Wednesday, I texted her. I'm not text. I talked to her. It's a verbal conversation. And I told her, "If you want me to pay the rent, I can cuz I have the money." She told me directly, "Do not worry about it. Like, don't worry about it all. Like, it's fine." So, I said, "Okay." And so, today she's been threatening to kick us out, telling us that we have to leave because we haven't paid rent. This is my first month here. She after she's already told me that I don't have to pay rent. >> Right. You guys been here 3 weeks, right? >> Yes. >> Okay. I remember. >> Since December 20. I've been here since December 24th. I get a call from Devon A saying that those two are laughing at her. I thought that was a cockroach. were laughing at her from the window and stuff like that cuz they kicked her out. Threw all of her stuff outside. I just barely got here maybe 10 minutes ago. I simply asked I went upstairs and I started packing my stuff and I simply asked what is going on. After that happened, I went upstairs and everything. I was asking what's going on like why is all this happening? Cuz I'm just I'm coming into this and nothing. >> Were you aware that she kicked both of you out at this point? >> I was told that her stuff was out. I didn't assume that I was kicked out or anything like that. At first I did assume I was kicked out. Do >> you mind if we talk over here? I did assume that my stuff was, you know, put out until I went inside and then and I was like, I'm not understanding what's going on. I'm like, why is this happening? I let my emotions get the best of me. And I told my mom, you know, I just hope that she would go to the grave cuz it's just it's been a lie. >> So you guys, >> one adult sister describes intervening to protect others and states she acted in self-defense. Officers note visible redness on her face and documented. >> Grabbing each other's hair. >> No, the swung at me while I was on the ground in between the door. >> Swung at which one is that? your sister. >> Devon is the youngest one. Those are both my sisters. >> I get that. This >> the smaller one was had my hair in my hand. I met fell on the ground and she started swinging at me. And so when I got up, I pushed her away. Join grabbed onto my hair. She started swinging on me and so I started swinging at her back. We just kept on doing that. We land on the ground. I pulled Deon away from my mom because Devon I kicked away from my mom too cuz Jos was getting in my mom's face and De was getting in my mom's face. So I pulled her back and they all tried to get inside the house again. Okay. >> De they said no. pulled her back and my mom and her both landed on the ground, but I was also on the ground. And then Jos started coming at my mom and calling us all baby. When De was the one that started throwing fist first or any touch, I kicked her back cuz I was like, "You're getting way too close to my mom." I kicked her back. I managed to get up and I got my mom up and we all got up. I was right by my mom and we were right by the door and then they shocked me in the face, the smaller one. She sucked me in the face and my mom grabbed a hold of me because if she did it, then I would have went right back at her because it's called self-defense. And I will stand by my word. I was self-defense the whole entire time. That's what happened. And we shut the door. We locked in and you guys came and we opened it again and she said to give her her phone. So I went outside, gave her her phone, she started talking [ __ ] I talked back and was still handing her phone. >> The reason you're in handcuffs is because we saw I watched you charge at her >> with the phone outside in my hand in front of me. >> We don't We don't know what your intentions are. You're That's what you're saying. You're sitting there screaming, cussing at her, saying come, >> cussing at me, too. >> But she's backing up. You weren't You were charging >> cuz I was handing her phone and they weren't letting her buy. Like I said, the cuffs as soon as we feel comfortable with taking you out of the house handcuffs, they come off as easy as they went on. So, you're saying >> officers continue interviews, confirm timelines, assess medical needs, and clarify who was told they were no longer permitted inside the residence. >> Do you hurt need medical anything? >> No, not they. They were just all like this, literally. >> Who's the third friend? She involved at all. >> Was she just in the car? >> Yep. Or she wasn't even I don't know where she was at the time. She wasn't here at all. I think she was driving up actually. Okay. So, she's just came what a second? >> Yes, sir. >> And my 17-year-old, she she was yelling at them because literally they attacked her in this doorway right here. And I literally was on the phone with my one the entire time. I was relaying it. They had me on my back, everything. I mean, I was still talking to Wait. >> Did they break anything? >> Oh, I literally It was open already. This thing being adjusted outwards and this is how it ended up. It doesn't seem like anything really is broken. >> Do you know where she hit you specifically? >> For sure. She hit me dead in the face because that was the >> Did she hit you like on the side? Does that kind of feel accurate to where that would have been >> when I was on the ground? Yeah. She kind of hit me on the side, but when she hit me dead in the face when I was looking directly at her, it was right in the middle of my face. She stopped me one time and that was when my mom grabbed a hold of me and started pulling me inside. Okay. And they were both outside. So that's when we met and she was like, my mom was holding on to me. I was like, "You better let me go right now." She's like, "No, lock the door and shut it." And that's what we did. And then you guys got here. >> What kind of things was she saying when she was trying to get into the house? >> What are you talking about? My older sister Devon, she really didn't say anything. She join was the one that was yelling the whole time. She was like, "Let her come inside and grab my stuff." And my mom and me were like, "She's not coming inside. She's not allowed inside of our house." And as soon as Josyn or my mom or the door got opened, as soon as that door got open, then they pushed through and we all said, "Get out." >> Was it just Devon A that was pushing through? >> Devon was pushing through and Jocelyn was trying to allow her to get through cuz Jocelyn was already inside the house. Can you start getting my knees bleeding, please? >> We're going to have medical pull up in a second and they'll come and check that out. You, Jocelyn, and Devon A are all like blood related sisters. >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, what kind of words were things? >> She told me to name >> So, Joselyn, my 24-year-old told me she can't wait for me to she's going to spit on my grave. How I can't touch her, her my her grandbaby that's on the way with my 20-year-old Devon. Basically, Devon told me to That's all they've been saying. You know, I'm I'm the mom that daily supposedly. And and yet, they both came to live with me to help them out. Closed fist. Open fist. >> Closed. >> Where they hit you? >> On my head. >> No injuries. No markings. >> No, but I feel you. >> You mind if I look real quick? >> I don't mind at all. >> And I don't really see much. Okay. But swinging closed fist to the face. >> Mostly my daughter back here. >> Okay. She literally was defending me. >> Where was your daughter when this happened? >> Right here at the door with me. >> So you guys were both >> We were all walking down the stairs and was upstairs coming down and I was like, "No, you can't let her in." We all met at the door together. >> Did you swing back? >> No, never. I literally was in the middle with the phone trying to get I was literally telling her, "Please help me." The whole thing is on recording. I'm sure of that. >> Who's this, by the way? >> Oh, this is my stepdad. He has stayed for that, but he brought Jos into the home. I'm going to tell you that there's probably a chance that therap has happened, but I >> Fair enough. I'm trying to figure it out. >> Yeah. No doubt. >> Thank you. Whenever it comes to questioning with juveniles and stuff, we need them. Pray present. I didn't know if you I didn't know you were 17 at the time. So, the reason you're in hiccups, did you talk to her already? An adult sister is advised of her rights, questioned about entering the home after being told she was removed, and acknowledges striking another person during the altercation. >> Okay. Do you need medical attention? I don't know if he's asked you already. >> I don't know, but can you check I just needed to check my knee? >> She wanted us to check her knee, see if she's bleeding. I just told >> her. Do you mind if I do? >> If you if you can, that'd be great. >> I'd like to. Can I get her? Is there any way I could somebody could follow me and to get her apart? >> If you want to grab a jacket, are you okay with that? Yeah, I'll go with you. I'll go with you for sure. >> Be right back. Okay. >> Did you uh tell Devon specifically face to face that she was not allowed in the residence and she she crossed inside the dwelling? >> Yes. >> Please understand these are all my kids whether they love me or not today. So, I'm not telling that to put her in jail or anything. I do want something around her putting her hands on us, but >> I don't know what I'm trying to tell you. I never know what to say. But >> Well, it's okay. Just relax. I I will figure it out. Did you hit Joelyn first? No, I pushed everyone outside with my mom while they were trying to get inside. I pushed everyone out and then Deon grabbed me by my hair and she started pulling me and then when Jocelyn saw that, she started grabbing me. >> So, what happened? >> I called you guys earlier when my stuff was sitting outside. >> That was the one who answered. Yes, >> you were the one that answered. Yep. >> I had called. There was like some of my stuff missing and then I had also came to get her Dawson's things. So, I called you guys to CVS could help me get in and get those things. I said it was a simple matter. So, I grabbed what I could. All my friends got in the Jeep and we left and went to this Maverick up here on Snow Canyon. And then my sister called me and told me that she was here and asked me to come pick up her dog. So, I pulled up, parked my car, went to the front door, knocked on the front door. Somebody opened the door. They were all three at the door, so I'm not quite sure who opened the door exactly, my two sisters and my mother. Okay. >> I stepped inside the door to come in and grab the dog. And then at one point I was thrown to the ground. And so I got back up. I think I grabbed somebody's hair and then my hair was grabbed. Not exactly sure what happened after that, but at one point I was punched in the face, kicked in the stomach, thrown to the ground again. So I got up. That was all by my little sister. So I got up and I punched her in the face in defense. I ain't even going to lie about that. That's when somebody showed up. You guys showed up. >> I showed up. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Is there anything else you would like to tell? >> And my phone was thrown inside. >> Do you live here? >> I did 2 hours ago. So, I do have some specific questions I need to ask you. Okay, >> since what I've heard from all the stories, right? I'm just going to let you know now you're under arrest. Okay. So, it's going to be for residential burger and a child. >> Okay. >> Me residential burglary means when you enter someone's house unlawfully and committed a theft or an assault, >> but I didn't. >> You were informed to get kicked out of the house. >> But I was I have messages. >> You're okay. Just relax. >> Just relax. >> Place your hands behind your back. It's suffering. The woman was arrested and informed she was being charged with burglary of a dwelling. An additional charge described as intentional is mentioned, but not fully stated in the transcript. Remember, family disputes can escalate rapidly when access to a residence and personal property is contested. Clear communication and physical separation [music] are key tools officers use to stabilize volatile situations. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. So many different stories. I can see why this took time to sort out. Everyone talking at once made it hard to calm things down. The doorway seemed to be where everything went wrong. The tension is already high, or so it seems. [music] What the body cam captures next saves a life pause and comment what you do here. On April 27th, 2024, officers initially responded to what appeared to be a routine domestic dispute after a mother demanded police arrest. Her own teenage son claiming he was violent and needed to be taken to jail. Leave >> me alone. So, I was out here on the bed minding my own business. I want to go my [ __ ] door. >> Y'all need to take him. >> Y'all need to take him. >> Make me. >> Y'all need to get him. >> Me. >> Y'all need to take him. Take his ass. Bro, ain't no answer, sir. >> You ain't coming back to this house. >> The 13-year-old boy was detained outside while officers separated the family. Both the mother and stepfather accused the teen of starting the fight while the teen admitted he struck his mother after being pushed. >> You start fight. >> I'm done. >> Take his ass to jail. You're going where you want to be. >> I'mma kill you when I come out. >> Hey, you coming out? >> Don't do it. Let go8. >> I got the male. >> Shut up. >> Shut up. >> He the one on the screen or he he's the one screaming. >> I need one of you to stand by with him. >> Was he hitting her when you got him? She was hitting her as soon as you got here. >> Yeah. >> Hold on. >> Pulling the kid. >> Come on. >> Y'all taking He ain't coming back here. >> We'll get there. Can you tell me what happened? >> Yeah. So, he's been slick out the mouth all day. >> Mhm. real slick, real nasty, you all this stuff. And I tell him to leave me alone. So I was out here on the bed minding my own business. I want to go cookies. So I sat up there and he going to try to snatch him out of my hand. So then he goes to try to antagonize provoke the situation. Sit on the bed. I asked him, "Can you please remove yourself? I don't want to talk to you. Don't need to be around me right now with how you talking to me." I've had multiple issues with him. Put hands on me. He's sitting up there off the bed. I asked him to move and he's not moving. I said, "You need to move from out my premises right now. I don't want to speak to you." So I pushed him off my bed. He going to turn around, put his phone down, and come and swing on me. And that's when I choke his dad in my head and try and still hit me. His step that dad in there right now could be a witness to everything. >> Okay. What's going on with you, my man? Why you upset? >> I told her to put my damn shoes down. >> I tried to grab my basketball shoes to tell her to put her down. She want to push me. So I put my ass back on her and then that's when the fight start happening. She punched you, you said, >> over some shoes? >> No, it was just me and her. She had me in a chokeo. >> So, did you hit her? >> Yeah, but she touched me first. I didn't try. >> What did she do when she touched you? >> I She put my shoes I put my I threw my phone in my room. >> You threw your phone in the room and then what? >> Then I went back out there. That's when me and her started throwing hands and then she asked me to choke on her. >> So who threw the hands first? >> Her. >> What did she do? >> Pushed me. Then when I came back out, I smoked on her. >> So she pushed you like telling you to go back to your room or what? >> Mm- like a fool. I push. >> So she just pushed you >> and that irritated irritated me. And then after >> So then you just punched her with your fist. >> You know your your parents are allowed to do corporal punishment, right? So if if they're giving you some kind of guidance and they're telling you, "Hey, stop doing this or go to your room or whatever." >> She didn't she didn't tell me to stop. I think >> you said you just said you guys were verbally arguing and then that's when she pushed you. Just take a deep breath. We'll get everything figured out. >> Did you see what happened, too? >> I had him in a room. >> You had what? >> I had to hold him in a room. >> Okay. Can you tell me what happened? >> Huh? Can you tell me what happened with her? >> She told her to get out of his face from death to death. >> Mhm. >> I had to get up and grab him and put him in the room. >> Did he swing at her first? >> I'm not going to touch my child. I'm saying myself. >> Did she tell you to get out the face? >> That's your son or >> That's my physical son. Yes. I carried him for 8 months in one week. Cut him. >> It don't matter if she hit him or not. That's her job. >> If I tell you to get out of my face and you steady provoking me you and I move you away from me. I ain't swing on him. I got the right to move him out of my face. >> Yeah. >> So I went to go push him out of my bed and out of my face. He going to buck up to me like he hard >> and he going to swing on me. So I got him in a choke hold and I put my hand down on his throat and he still tried to swing on me and pull my help. Even when he was removed from the situation, you can see his room, all the property damage he did, and I'm going to have to come out of pocket for it. >> While checking for injuries, officers entered the home to verify the child's living conditions. Almost immediately, the smell overwhelmed them, forcing officers to pause as they realized something was seriously wrong. >> Until he learned his lesson. I've tried. >> I've tried. >> No. Can you just raise your right hand for me? >> Yep. >> Take your full name and date of birth. >> So, she asked you to feed the cats and you didn't want to. >> So, that So, that kind of started it basically. >> At least you're going to go somewhere a lot cleaner. Okay. I I know you're going to juvie, but just from standing outside, I wouldn't even want to be in there. Okay, so we're going to get it figured out. >> The house is disgusting. >> Condition is horrible. >> Can you fix the scuffs? >> Step out real quick. Let me fix the cuffs for you. All right, stand. Where is your injury? The >> some marks in school. All right, just put your arms out like this for me. Flip him. Bring him a little bit closer then. Show me where you were. >> He grabbed you or >> Yeah, he was swinging on me and he grabbed me and he grabbed my hair as well. But that's all from him swinging that swollenness right there. >> There's some red marks. >> Let me see your face. >> Hold on. Sorry. >> Look left. That was great. I know that too. >> So, you said he messed up his room, right? >> Yeah. It's a little we just move, but he brought my TV. He um >> So, I just need to go in there and verify you got electricity, running water, food. It's messy. >> You said you have cats. >> Yeah, I got cats. >> All right. >> I got to She kept saying she was going to sell my Xbox, the TV that she bought. Inside the child's bedroom, officers discovered feces and urine covering the floor bed and surrounding areas. The teen admitted he had been living in these conditions for nearly a year. >> After that, she tried to steal my shoes that I was going to use for school. >> And did you go in there? >> How long have you been living like that? >> H >> How long have you been living like that? >> Nearly a year. >> Like a year? >> Nearly. All right, we have >> Dude, you got poop all over your room and stuff. >> Like a lot of poop. >> I I can't breathe in that house. >> You can take him out of cuffs. Just leave him in the car. I'm going to call a s. >> Yeah, bro. Hey, what I seen in there is worst thing I've ever seen. So, just stay in the car for us. We'll figure everything out. All right, bud. >> Hey, sir. Can you come over to the seat? Um, >> further inspection revealed multiple animals confined in filthy conditions, including dogs living in their own waste and snake enclosures stacked inside the child's closet. Officers described the home as one of the most inhumane environments they had ever seen to arrest both the parents for uh neglect. And um I haven't looked up exactly charge, but like the housing there is disgusting. >> He's living in feces. like there's all over his room and bed and all over the house. You can smell it from the outside. Um, okay. He's on the way. >> 12. >> So, I guess it's he's going to be processed or >> uh Yeah, he's doing the investigation. Uh, if it's how you guys are saying, then yeah, he'll he'll get taken to Jack. So, um, >> when I was younger, it was >> Well, we'll we'll knock on the door if we need anything else. Let me go see what he has right now. >> Let's go get some cigarettes. So, >> okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> No problem. Bro, he's literally living in the middle of the air >> with no bedding. His room is like like it's inhumane. There's drugs everywhere. >> Like I'm traumatized by what I just seen. >> I could smell it from the outside and all the mom. I don't know how he's not covered in bed bugs. >> Yeah. Jesus Christ. >> You might even have um animal cruelty. >> Three dogs inside of one cage living in feces. Bro, as a dad of a 10-year-old boy, that [ __ ] breaks my heart. >> It's disgusting. >> I would be losing my mind, too, bro. Like, you're right. >> Living in inhumane conditions. >> There's a bunch of snakes, snake crates in his closet stacked up. One >> snakes in there, >> huh? >> Snakes in there? >> I think so. Inside the closet. I'm telling you, it's probably the worst thing I've ever seen. >> Sge. So, this uh this poor kid, man, he's living in possibly the most inhumane conditions I've ever seen anyone live in. There's a coupe in his room. There's three dogs inside of a crate. >> At that point, officers shifted their focus entirely. What began as a call to arrest a child turned into a serious child neglect investigation. Supervisors were called to the scene immediately. that it smells. I I couldn't I couldn't breathe. >> Let's Let's start from the beginning. I believe the call here. >> 38318. >> He punched his mother allegedly first. When Mitri got here first, he was already in a >> When I got here, he was already arguing with the mom at the door. Then he kicked her in front of me. So detained and put him in the car. And both the mom and the stepdad say he started it. So I mean, I only really have charges for him >> at this point in time. at this point. But I have 13. >> How many other kids are in the house? >> Just him. >> Just this kid. >> Yeah. >> How old is this kid? >> 13. >> 13. >> And you said there was drugs inside the house. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did you guys collect the drugs? >> No. I mean, >> right. But it's like scattered. >> All right. Well, let's take one real quick. >> Hey, can we step over here real quick? >> Yeah. >> You have some redness on your face. >> Yeah. That's where he swung from. Yeah. All day. I mean, I don't know. I don't know what else to do, you know? It's It's I had to choke my son. I don't want it, but you can't keep swinging on people. I do what I can and I know he's a good kid. He got anger issues and he doesn't know how to do it. But you can't swing on people. >> Yeah. So, let's do this. Uh, we're going to have to do a walk through the house. I know they did that already, but we got to do that again. The dogs put up. >> Yeah, they're put up. I do got cats out, though. >> Okay, I'm fine. >> Okay. All right. >> No issues with cats. >> All right. >> Not allergic. >> Okay. Let me get my phone. I feel like I'm going to need to make a phone call. No. >> The mother became defensive, insisting the child was to blame for the mess and claiming he refused to clean. Officers explained that regardless of behavior issues, parents are legally responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary home. >> Where you at? Because I don't know what they trying to do. They got me trying to stay outside. I can't even walk. >> All right. Well, you need to hurry up and come back >> ASAP. Just go ahead and stay outside. >> I can't put this back in my house. Why? Why can't it keep >> Why can't I go in my household, though? >> Just keep it outside. >> I didn't do anything wrong. >> Okay. >> So, why can't I go in my household? Cuz >> I'm telling you not to. >> Why though? >> Cuz you're being detained right now. >> For what? >> Criminal charges for child neglect. >> For neglect. >> Yeah. >> For what? >> He's not neglected. >> Disgusting in there. >> Okay. I'm not the only person that lives there. >> You said you are. >> Me and him do. And he just got kicked out a week ago. Yeah. What? >> Hey, they trying to take me to jail for child neglect. So, >> huh? >> Ma'am, can I talk to you real quick? >> I'm talking to my dad cuz he just told me I'm being detained. So, I just want something to know. >> Okay. Well, no problem. >> Can you do me a favor? Put out the cigarette. >> Can I finish smoke first before y'all put me in handcuffs? >> Two quick puffs. >> Okay. >> Deep puffs for me. Okay. >> Yep. Cuz he going to line them. >> So, I ma'am, I'll explain everything to you. Okay. The reason you're being detained and the reason you're going to be placed under arrest for child neglect is because of the living condition. >> There's food in the house. He has clean clothes. There's water. There's all of that. I need to make sure that my property gets my car gets back here first before anything. >> We will work on that. Perfect. We're going to go ahead and place you in handcuffs. Do me a favor. Put the cigarette out. >> Can I get some pants on? I know. Can y'all pants? >> Not this second. We'll grab them in a second. We'll let you switch out. >> Hey, come on. They're taking me to jail. >> Sir, do me a favor. Just hang out here for a second for >> child neglect. Child neglect. What's your name? Channel neglect. What's the child neglect? >> Hold on. Hold on. >> What the child neglect? >> The living conditions of poor inside the house. Okay. >> So, >> he don't clean. >> Well, it's still part of >> when you tell him to clean, he don't clean. >> He's a juvenile. >> He's a He can clean, too. If you can eat, you can clean. >> I get that. I understand that. Right. But it's But it's not only hang out by the car. This one right here, the first one. >> Just leave it. It's fine. Just take care of their animals, please. I'm going to walk over >> the the the actual living room itself is in the same condition as his room and his room isn't great. Okay, the living room is not great. It's hard and I get it right. Sometimes we're in these predicaments where have the ability necessarily to take care of everything that we like. >> We both work. >> Okay. Well, perfect. All right. But at the end of the day, >> so that's his his job. That's his job >> to maintain the house, take out the trash. You don't want to do that. >> But at some point, the parents have to step in. >> You don't do that. You 13. >> You're a teenager. >> I get that. I get that. But at some point, >> we can't do everything. We tired when we come home. >> Yeah. I get that. I get that. But at some point, something has to take place because >> that's why she called out. This is the second time he done swung on her. >> Okay. And we're addressing that. Okay. But as we're addressing that, we also have the issue of the the the deplorable living conditions. Okay. And I get it, right? Times are tough. He's not listening. You don't you want to eat everything. You don't want to clean nothing. You don't want >> at some point, right, for animals and and it's more or less because of the animals, right? Because there's feces all over the place. And it's dried feces and it smells like urine, which means the dogs aren't being taken out. >> Due to the extreme living conditions, officers detained and arrested the mother for child neglect. Plans were made to remove the teen from the home for his safety and begin further investigations. But but at some point they're they're urinating and and and defecating inside the house. Okay. It's extremely poor healthwise to be breathing all that in. It's not great. Right. >> So I need it for when I get out for someone to come hit me. >> Sure. >> How am I with a seat belt right there? >> You can just sit. >> Let's let's let's go ahead. We're going to get some information from you real quick. I think I have to talk to her for a second. I think she wants to release everything to you, but let me just confirm with her and then we'll go from there. Okay. Hey, whatever happens today, >> I'm sorry for everything that you've been having to go through. All right? You shouldn't be living that way. All right? And I feel for you. I really do. All right? I'm sorry you had to live that way. All right? I'm going to do the best for you. >> When I was younger, it hurt like real bad. I got you. Give me a hug. I'm sorry. Okay. All right. Try to get you some help. All right. Whatever happens, get through it and let's restart over. All right. Hey, how come there's nine cups? Before leaving, officers spoke directly to the teen, acknowledging the trauma he had endured and assuring him that no child should be forced to live in such conditions. Put him in custody. >> All right, man. So, I just got done speaking with your boyfriend. >> Okay. Do you want the house to be released to him? >> Yeah. >> Do you want the car to be released to him? >> Thanks to him. He got my keys. He >> He's fine with all that. I just want to make sure that you're okay with that because it's I mean, I ain't got nothing else. That's all I got. So, yeah, he's fine. At this point, Jubie is a favor >> to get him out of the house. >> Just to get him off. >> Honestly though, I mean, I know it sucks that they got to take them too, but it'll it'll get him in part of the courts. >> Yeah. >> With other charges have I'll show it to his court. >> You know what I mean? >> Yeah. If it was that bad, you guys were in there and got >> anything for a kid. Captain that kind of right there. >> He's got no toys. He's got no entertainment. He's got poop on his bed. Urine. Urine and poop everywhere in his room. He's got snakes living in his closet. It's disgusting, bro. It's terrible. It's I wonder why they can't take that guy. >> The incident concluded with the child removed from the home, the mother arrested for neglect, and authorities initiating follow-up actions related to animal welfare and the unsafe living conditions. Remember, a child's behavior may be challenging, but it never excuses placing them in unsafe or inhumane living conditions. When adults fail to provide basic care, the system steps in not to punish, but to protect those who cannot protect themselves. This is the reaction of nizens to this situation. That kid wasn't out of control. He was surviving in conditions no human should ever be forced to live in. Seeing a child sleep in feces while adults make excuses is absolutely heartbreaking and infuriating. This isn't discipline or tough parenting. This is neglect. And that child deserved help long before police arrived. Think the last one was wild? The next thief takes it to a whole new level. Okay. >> So, just so you know uh because of the new laws and stuff, there's a sign uh placed in here that you are uh afforded three phone calls within 3 hours of being taken into custody and no charge. The incident concluded with the mother and children removed from the abusive environment, Mr. Collier taken into custody on charges related to domestic abuse and authorities initiating protective measures to ensure the safety of the victims. Abuse behind closed doors often escalates until intervention becomes unavoidable. Protecting victims, especially children, must come before the comfort or excuses of the abuser. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. Watching him worry about his phone while a mother and kids were being abused is absolutely infuriating. Those children finally got help. This should have happened long before it reached this point. The calm way officers handled this just shows how dangerous and serious domestic abuse cases really are. You're not blowing. Blow harder. There you go. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. >> Officers respond to a late night welfare concern involving a young child found alone, prompting an urgent safety check. >> Have a feeling he's not. >> Oh, you're saying he's not. >> Where you live, my man? What's your name? back at the >> almost blind as we are. >> Yeah. >> You got your driver's license on you, sir? >> Yes. Yes. >> I know, dude. I know. I know, dude. We'll find her. >> Officers locate the residence and make contact with the mother who initially appears confused about the situation. >> What's he wearing? Is >> she not here? >> I'm going to be I have a feeling he's not. >> Oh, you're saying I >> go to I don't know. Go. Is he wearing blue stripe pajamas? Yes. I'm sorry. I fell back asleep. I've been up since 5:00 in the morning. >> How much you have to drink last night? >> Can we come in? >> Yeah, you can come in. >> Bruce, come on. >> Oh my god. Stop. Don't tell me this is true. >> Where is he? >> I have him. >> As questioning continues, officers clarify timelines and assess the mother's condition and level of awareness. >> I'm going to have a panic attack right now. >> How much did you have to drink last night, Brooke? >> I had one beer. >> One beer all night? Yes, I'm sick. I'm getting over a cold. I'm sorry. I'm about to have a panic attack right now. Oh god. [panting and sighs] He got over his gate. I was literally sleeping. >> I didn't go to bed till like 5:00 in the morning. >> Okay. So, he was in here. >> Yes. In here. And he climbed over. >> When I was here, when I was here earlier, you said he was awake and I said, "Go pay attention to your child." >> Yes. And then he asleep. The mother acknowledges prior similar incidents, raising concerns about supervision and safety. >> You need to be honest with me now. I I don't think I don't think you only had one beer. >> I probably had a shot and a beer. I can do a breathalyze right here. >> Your kid was walking down 31. >> No. >> With no shoes on. >> Has this happened before? >> Yes. >> Yes. He's gotten like out the door before. I literally bought something right here. >> Are you guys arresting me? >> I don't know yet. >> Officers explain the seriousness of the situation and the potential consequences of impaired judgment. >> Blow. Keep blowing. You're not blowing. Blow harder. There you go. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. >> Oh, here's yours. That's good. >> Okay. Thank you. >> I promised you I had >> No, I know. And I I did it. I have a beer and I had a shot last night and like he said he saw all those limes over there like that was him all night. >> Literally sunk his head in like he was scared and well I want you to know that stuff and I'm not saying it to be mean. I'm saying it from a father to a mother that now next time you think about making a bad choice. >> You think about the traumas the the trauma he went through today. >> Yeah. >> And be happy. >> Police outline next steps to ensure the child's immediate safety and contact family support. >> Had dirt and stuff all over his knees. So, he clearly fell going up and down the hills to get to the highway. >> He was probably running around out there. Um, so I know you're arresting me. Like I said, I've never done anything wrong before, [snorts] but I would really appreciate it if you just let me. I'll put it on speaker phone. Just call my mom. >> We'll call your mom to the meeting. >> That's fine. You can call the police department. >> Yeah, but you guys, I've seen it on TV. My brother is Homeland Security. Like, I've seen it on TV in the building. >> Well, we're going to take them all with. We just want to lock her door. >> 31. I'm 883. I'll get you a 27 in a minute. >> The incident concluded with the mother taken into custody for child endangerment. The child placed in protective care and authorities initiating follow-up actions related to supervision and home safety. A single lapse in judgment can place others at serious risk. Responsibility doesn't pause even when exhaustion or stress sets in. This is the reaction of nizens to this situation. This is heartbreaking and completely preventable. Some situations should never rely on luck to end safely. Children deserve protection, not excuses. If you thought that was something, wait until you see what happens next.
