Yeah, that's the worst house that that day. That was the worst house I ever walked into. She'll be arraigned. She'll have her day in court, dear. >> What the [ __ ] >> Providing a safe environment for children is a full-time job. But what happens when the danger is in their own homes? In today's video, you're going to see what happens when cops rescue kids from a home everyone thought was fine. On April 27th, 2024, officers initially responded to what appeared to be a routine domestic dispute. After a mother demanded police arrest, her own teenage son claiming he was violent and needed to be taken to jail. Leave >> me alone. So, I was out here on the bed minding my own business. I want to go on my [ __ ] door. >> Y'all need to take him. >> Y'all need to take him. >> Meet me. >> Y'all need to get him. >> Me. Y'all need to take him. Take his dad. >> Ain't no answer. >> He ain't coming back in this house. >> The 13-year-old boy was detained outside while officers separated the family. Both the mother and stepfather accused the teen of starting the fight while the teen admitted he struck his mother after being pushed. >> You start fight. >> I'm done. >> Take his ass to jail. You going where you want to be. >> I'm kill you when I come out. DON'T DO IT. DON'T DO IT. >> 168. >> I got the male. >> Shut up. >> Shut up. >> You the one on the screen or if he's the one screaming. I need one of you to stand by with him. Was he hitting her when you got here? >> He was hitting her as soon as you got here. >> Yeah. in there. >> Pulling the kid like this. >> Y'all taking He ain't coming back here. >> We'll get there. Can you tell me what happened? >> Yeah. So, he's been slick out the mouth all day. >> Mhm. >> Real slick, real nasty. You all this stuff. And I tell him to leave me alone. So, I was out here on the bed minding my own business. I want to go cookies. So, I sat up there and he going to try to snatch him out of my hand. So then he goes to try to antagonize provoke the situation. Sit on the bed. I asked him, "Can you please remove yourself? I don't want to talk to you. Don't need to be around me right now with how you talking to me." I've had multiple issues with him. Put hands on me. He's sitting up there off the bed. I asked him to move and he's not moving. I said, "You need to move from out my premises right now. I don't want to speak to you." So I pushed him off my bed. He going to turn around, put his phone down, and come and swing on me. And that's when I choke the dazzle in my head and try and still hit me. His stepdad in there right now could be a witness to everything. >> Okay. What's going on with you, my man? Why you upset? >> I told her to put my damn shoes down. >> I tried to grab my basketball shoes to tell her to put her down. She want to push me. So, I put my ass back on her and then that's when the fight start happening. >> She punched you, you said over some shoes. >> No, it was just me and her. She had me choke. >> So, did you hit her? >> Yeah, but she touched me first. I didn't try. What did she do when she touched you? >> I She put my shoes I put my I to threw my phone in my room. >> You threw your phone in the room and then what? >> Then I went back out there. That's when me her started throwing hands and then she asked me to choke. >> So who threw the hands first? >> Her. >> What did she do? >> Pushed me. Then when I came back out, I swung on her. >> So she pushed you like telling you to go back to your room or what? Mm-m. Like a full push. >> So she just push you >> and that irritate irritated me and then >> so then you just punched her with your fist. >> You know your your parents are allowed to do corporal punishment, right? So if they're giving you some kind of guidance and they're telling you, hey, stop doing this or go to your room or whatever. >> She didn't she didn't tell me to stop. That's the thing. But you said you just said you guys were verbally arguing >> and then that's when she pushed you. >> Let's take a deep breath. We'll get everything figured out. >> Did you see what happened here? >> Oh yeah. I had to hold him in the room. >> You had what? >> I had to hold him in the room. >> Okay. Can you tell me what happened? >> Huh? >> Can you tell me what happened with her? >> She told her to get out of his face from death to death. >> Mhm. >> I had to get up and grab him and put him in the room. >> Did he swing at her first? I'm not going to touch my child myself. >> She tell you to get out the face. >> That's your son or >> That's my physical son? Yes. I carried him for eight months in one week. >> It don't matter if she hit him or not. That's her job. >> If I tell you to get out of my face and you steady provoking me you and I move you away from me. I ain't swing on him. I got the right to move him out of my face. >> Yeah. >> So I went to go push him out of my bed and out of my face. He going to buck up to me like he hard >> and he going to swing on me. So, I got him in the choke hold and I put my hand down on his throat and he still tried to strangle me and pull my help. Even when he was removed from the situation, you can see his room all the property damage he did in there and I'm going to have to come out of pocket for it. >> While checking for injuries, officers entered the home to verify the child's living conditions. Almost immediately, the smell overwhelmed them, forcing officers to pause as they realized something was seriously wrong. >> And so, he learned his lesson. I've tried. >> I've tried. >> No. Can you just raise your right hand for me? Yep. >> Take your full name and date of birth. >> So she asked you to feed the cats and you didn't want to. >> So that so that kind of started it basically. >> At least you're going to go somewhere a lot cleaner. Okay. I I know you're going to juvie, but just from standing outside, I wouldn't even want to be in there. Okay. So we're going to get it figured out. >> The house is disgusting. >> Condition is horrible. Yeah. >> Can you fix the scubs? Step out real quick. Let me fix the cops for you. All right. Okay. Stand around. Where is your injury? The >> some more school. >> All right. Just put your arms out like this for me. Flip them. Bring them a little bit closer. Then show me where you were. >> He grabbed you or >> Yeah, he was swinging on me and he grabbed me and he grabbed my hair as well. But that's all from him swinging that swollenness right though. >> There's some red marks. >> Let me see your face. >> Hold on. Sorry. >> Look left. >> I know that too. >> So you said he messed up his room, right? >> Yeah. Could be his room, but he broke my TV. Yeah. >> You need to go in there and verify you got electricity, running water, food. >> You said you have cats. >> Yeah, I got cats. >> All right. >> I got into she kept saying she was going to sell my Xbox, the TV that she bought. >> Inside the child's bedroom, officers discovered feces and urine covering the floor bed and surrounding areas. The teen admitted he had been living in these conditions for nearly a year. After that, she tried to steal my shoes that I I was going to use for school. >> And you go in there. >> How long have you been living like that? >> How long have you been living like that? >> Nearly a year, I think. >> Like a year. >> Nearly. >> We have. >> Dude, you got poop all over your room and stuff. >> Like a lot of poop. >> I I can't breathe in that house. You can take him out of cuffs. Just leave him in the car. I'm going to call Sergeant. >> Yeah, bro. Hey, what I seen in there is worst thing I've ever seen. >> So, just stay in the car for us. We figured everything out. All right, bud. >> Hey, sir. Can you come over to the seat? Um, >> further inspection revealed multiple animals confined in filthy conditions, including dogs living in their own waste and snake enclosures stacked inside the child's closet. Officers described the home as one of the most inhumane environments they had ever seen. >> To arrest both the parents for uh, neglect and um, I haven't looked up exactly charge, but like the housing there is disgusting. He's living in feces. like there's all over his room and bed and all over the house. You can smell it from the outside. Um, okay. He's on the way. >> 12. >> So, I guess is he's going to be processed or >> uh Yeah, he's doing the investigation. Uh, if it's how you guys are saying, then yeah, he'll he'll get taken to Jack. So, um, >> when I was younger, it was >> Well, we'll we'll knock on the door if we need anything else. Let me go see what he has right now. >> Let's go get some cigarettes. So, >> okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> No problem, >> bro. He's literally living in the middle of the ocean >> with no bedding. >> His room is like like it's inhumane. There's drugs everywhere. >> Like I'm traumatized by what I just seen. >> I could smell it from the outside and all the mom. I don't know how he's not covered in bed bugs. >> Yeah. Jesus Christ. >> You might even have um animal cruelty. >> Three dogs inside of one cage living in feces. Bro, as a dad of a 10-year-old boy, that [ __ ] breaks my heart. >> It's disgusting. >> I would be losing my mind, too, bro. Like, you're right. >> Living in inhumane conditions. >> Offensive. >> There's a bunch of snakes, snake crates in his closet stacked up. One >> snakes in there, >> huh? >> Snakes in there? >> I think so. Inside the closet. I'm telling you, it's probably the worst thing I've ever seen. >> S. So, this uh this poor kid, man, he's living in possibly the most inhumane conditions I've ever seen anyone live in. There's a coupe in his room. There's three dogs inside of a crate. >> At that point, officers shifted their focus entirely. What began as a call to arrest a child turned into a serious child neglect investigation. Supervisors were called to the scene immediately. that it smells I I couldn't I couldn't >> Let's Let's start from the beginning. How do we make the call here? >> 38318. >> He punched his mother allegedly first. When Mitri got here first, he was already in a >> When I got here, he was already arguing with the mom at the door. Then he kicked her in front of me. So detained and put him in the car. And both the mom and the stepdad say he started it. So I mean I only really have charges for him >> at this point in time. at this point where I have 13. >> How many other kids are in the house? >> Just him. >> Just this kid. >> Yeah. >> How old is this kid? >> 13. >> 13. >> And you said there was drugs inside the house? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did you guys collect the drugs? >> No. I mean, >> right. But it's like scattered. >> All right. Well, let's take a walk real quick. >> Hey, can we step over here real quick? >> Yeah. >> You have some redness on your face. >> Yeah. That's where he swung from. Yeah. All that. I mean, I don't know. I don't know what else to do. You know, it's it's I had to choke my son. I don't want it, but you can't keep swinging on people. I do what I can and I know he's a good kid. He got anger issues and he doesn't know how to do it. But you can't swing on people. >> Yeah. So, let's do this. Uh, we're going to have to do a walk through the house. I know they did that already, but we got to do that again. The dogs put up. >> Yeah, they're put up. I do got cats out, though. >> Okay, I'm fine. >> Okay. All right. >> No issues with cats. >> All right. >> Not allergic. >> Okay. Let me get my phone. I feel like I'm going to need to make a phone call. No. >> The mother became defensive, insisting the child was to blame for the mess and claiming he refused to clean. Officers explained that regardless of behavior issues, parents are legally responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary home. >> Where you at? Because I don't know what they trying to do. They got me trying to stay outside. I can't even walk. >> All right. Well, you need to hurry up and come back >> ASAP. Just go ahead and stay outside. >> I can't put this back in my house. Why? Why can't >> keep it at Keep >> Why can't I go in my household, though? >> Just keep it outside. >> I didn't do anything wrong. >> Okay. >> So, why can't I go in my household? Cuz >> I'm telling you not to. >> Why though? >> Cuz you're being detained right now. >> For what? >> Criminal charges for child neglect. >> For neglect. >> Yeah. >> For what? >> You're not neglected. >> Disgusting in there. >> Okay. I'm not the only person that lives there. >> You said you are. >> Me and him do. And he just got kicked out a week ago. Yeah. What? >> Hey, they trying to take me to jail for child neglect. So, >> Paul, >> ma'am, can I talk to you real quick? >> I'm talking to my dad cuz he just told me I'm being detained. So, I just want something to know. >> Okay. Well, no problem. Can you do me a favor? Put out the cigarette. >> Can I finish smoking it first before y'all put me in handcuffs? >> Two quick puffs. >> Okay. >> Deep puffs for me. Okay. >> Yep. Cuz he just going to line them. >> So, I ma'am, I'll explain everything to you. Okay. The reason you're being detained and the reason you're going to be placed under arrest for child neglect is because of the living condition. >> There's food in the house. He has clean clothes. There's water. There's all of that. I need to make sure that my property gets my car gets back here first before anything. >> We will work on that. Perfect. We're going to go ahead and place you in handcuffs. Do me a favor. Put the cigarette out. >> Can I get some pants on? I know. Can y'all pants? >> Not this second. We'll grab them in a second. We'll let you switch out. >> Hey, come on. They taking me to jail. >> Sir, do me a favor. Just hang out here for a second. For >> child neglect. >> Child neglect. What's your name? No child neglect. What's the child neglect? >> Hold on. Hold on. >> What the child neglect? >> The living conditions of poor inside the house. Okay. >> So, >> he don't clean. >> Well, it's still part of >> when you tell him to clean, he don't clean. >> He's a juvenile. >> He's a He can clean, too. If you can eat, you can clean. >> I get that. I understand that. Right. But it's But it's not only hang out by the car. This one right here, the first one. >> Just leave it. It's fine. Just take care of the animals, please. We're going to walk over >> the the the actual living room itself is in the same condition as his room and his room isn't great. Okay. The living room is not great. It's hard and I get it right. Sometimes we're in these predicaments where have the ability necessarily to take care of everything that we like. >> We both work. >> Okay. Well, perfect. All right. But at the end of the day, >> so that's his his job. That's his job >> to maintain the house, take out the trash. You don't want to do that. But at some point the parents have to step in. >> You don't do that. You 13. >> You're a teenager. >> I get that. I get that. But at some point >> we can't do everything. We tired when we come home. >> Yeah. I get that. I get that. But at some point something has to take place because >> that's why she called out. This is the second time he done swung on her. >> Okay. And we're addressing that. Okay. But as we're addressing that, we also have the issue of the the the deplorable living conditions. Okay. And I get it, right? Times are tough. He's not listening. >> You don't you want to eat everything. You don't want to clean nothing. But at some point, right, for animals and and it's more or less because of the animals, right? Because there's feces all over the place and it's dried feces and it smells like urine, which means the dogs aren't being taken out. >> Due to the extreme living conditions, officers detained and arrested the mother for child neglect. Plans were made to remove the teen from the home for his safety and begin further investigations. >> But but at some point, they're they're urinating and and and defecating inside the house. Okay. It's extremely poor healthwise to be breathing all that in. It's not great. Right. >> So, I need a phone when I get out for someone to come hit me. >> Sure. >> How am I with a seat belt right there? >> You can just sit. >> Let's Let's Let's go ahead. We're going to get some information from you real quick. I think I have to talk to her for a second. I think she wants to release everything to you, but let me just confirm with her and then we'll go from there. Okay. >> Hey, whatever happens today, >> I'm sorry for everything that you've been having to go through. All right. You shouldn't be living that way. All right. And I feel for you. I really do. All right. I'm sorry you had to live that way. All right. I'm going to do the best when I was younger. It hurt like real bad. I got you. Give me a hug. >> I'm sorry. Okay. All right. Try to get you some help. All right. Whatever happens, get through it and let's restart over. All right. Hey, how come he's not in cuffs? Before leaving, officers spoke directly to the teen, acknowledging the trauma he had endured and assuring him that no child should be forced to live in such conditions. All right, man. >> So, I just got done speaking with your boyfriend. Okay. Do you want the house to be released to him? >> Yeah. Do >> you want the car to be released to him? >> Thanks to him. He got my keys. He >> He's fine with all that. I just want to make sure that you're okay with that because it's >> I mean, ain't got nothing else. That's all I got. So, yeah, he's fine. At this point, Jubie is a favor >> to get him out of the house. >> Just to get him out. >> Honestly though, I mean, I know it sucks that they got to take him, too. But it'll go get him in part of the courts. >> Yeah. >> With other charges have I'll show it to you. >> Yeah. If it was that bad, you guys were in there and got on. >> Anything for a kid just kept in that kind of right there? >> He's got no toys. He's got no entertainment. He's got poop on his bed. Urine urine and poop everywhere in his room. He's got snakes living in his closet. >> It's disgusting, bro. It's terrible. It's I wonder why they can't take that guy. The incident concluded with the child removed from the home, the mother arrested for neglect and authorities initiating follow-up actions related to animal welfare and the unsafe living conditions. Remember, a child's behavior may be challenging, but it never excuses placing them in unsafe or inhumane living conditions. When adults fail to provide basic care, the system steps in not to punish, but to protect those who cannot protect themselves. This is the reaction of nizens to this situation. That kid wasn't out of control. He was surviving in conditions no human should ever be forced to live in. Seeing a child sleep in feces while adults make excuses is absolutely heartbreaking and infuriating. This isn't discipline or tough parenting. This is neglect. And that child deserved help long before police arrived. Think the last one was wild? The next thief takes it to a whole new level. Comment your guess and hit subscribe so you don't miss it. >> Yes, that's the worst house that that day. That was the worst house I ever walked into. It should be arraigned. >> On December 21st, 2023, officers responded to a home where six children were living in hazardous conditions, including excessive trash, animal waste, and unsanitary living spaces. Due to the unsafe environment, all six children were removed by child welfare authorities. What's that? >> No, you're good. >> I can't come inside. So, you need to bring the kids to the door. >> Guys, come here. >> I need you to get their coats. Get their dressed in their coats. >> Baby, put that. As the children were escorted out, officers noted the strong odor on their clothing and ensured they were properly dressed for the cold. The children were transported to the hospital to be medically evaluated and checked for possible health issues. >> I'll go up first so he doesn't run outside. Dear >> come you smell in the side. Come. You need to come this way. >> Come on, buddy. >> Zip up your coat. You have to go to the hospital. I have to take all of y'all to the hospital. >> Just got to get you guys checked out. Make sure everybody's okay. >> Officers explained that the home was so unsafe that even staff had become sick during previous entries. Additional personnel coordinated animal control and documented the conditions for further investigation. >> I showed what they told me that the warden say is not safe for us to go inside >> cuz my supervisor got sick yesterday. >> Yeah. I mean, I'm going to have to go in to see the animals so I can get >> Heck, these are the paperwork. Court is tomorrow. >> Come on, Lou. I need you to come and help get the children in the car. Kim. >> Okay. Where's the baby? I need the baby to be >> She's in the bedroom. >> I need you to get a a winter suit thing on on her. >> You don't have a mask or anything, do you? >> I do. I'll go get you one. >> Thank you. >> I'm going to get >> Yep. >> Thank you. >> I'm so sorry. >> Where's the other Where's your other child at, dear? >> This is him. >> Okay. This is it. He's >> I only have six children. >> Only six. Sorry. Yep. One, two, >> and you guys are doing this while their dad's not here again. Come on out, buddy. Sister's bottle, please. >> So, I gota um >> Hey, do you uh do you still need me over here, dear? >> No, I mean, you're all right. She's fine. >> Okay, >> I'm all right. >> All right. >> Approximately one month later, investigators gathered enough evidence to obtain arrest warrants for both parents related to the living conditions inside the home. Officers returned to the residence to take the mother into custody. Yeah, she's in here. Tiger police. >> Come to the front door. >> How you doing, dear? >> Hi. >> What's your name? >> Kimberly. >> Kimberly, is your husband home? Michael? >> No, he is at work still. >> Okay, Kimberly, go ahead. Step out for me. >> Okay. You're currently under arrest. What do I do? >> Don't stick your hand in. >> You have a warrant out for your arrest. >> What? >> For child in danger. >> Put your hands together. >> Michael the house. >> Okay. You don't care if we check the house. Make sure Michael. >> The mother appeared confused and questioned the arrest while officers informed her she was being charged with child endangerment. Police confirmed the father was not home and requested permission to clear the residence for safety. Not >> in there. >> My mother-in-law was here. >> That's fine. We'll call her out before. >> Mhm. >> Hey 16, you come to the front door. >> Hey ma'am, what room is your mother? >> She's in the back bedroom. >> Okay. Put you in a car over here real quick, dude. We'll get you some shoes. >> Stop preaching. What is in your pocket? >> My vape. I was going to put it down, but >> you have anything illegal on you, I'm going to find in the search. >> No. I haven't done anything illegal in a while. >> You have anything in your pockets? >> No. >> Back here. >> Where does Michael work at? He works >> where >> drive >> drive. >> Okay. >> Officers contacted the father by phone at his workplace informing him that both he and his wife had active arrest warrants. He was advised to cooperate and arrangements were made for him to be taken into custody as well. >> All right. I'll be right back with you. He's at work. >> Okay, perfect. >> On the phone with him right now. >> She got a >> Hello. >> Yes, sir. >> Hey, where are you at, sir? >> Okay. And you're coming back home? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Uh, I'm going to be honest with you, sir. We have a warrant for you and your wife's ars. What? >> Yes. For child endangering. So, it would behoove you very much to cooperate. >> Okay. >> Okay. Are you going to come back over here to Silvin? That way you can leave the car here. >> Yeah. I'm going to get picked up. >> Picked up from where? >> Uh drive. >> Drive. >> Yeah. >> Okay. What's the address on drive? Um how long it will be till you get there? >> Um 25 half hour. 25 minutes to a half hour. >> What's his phone number? >> What's your phone number, sir? >> All right. Thank you, sir. We will probably have an officer meet you there to transport you to Summit County Jail. We appreciate your cooperation. >> Can I ask you a quick question real quick? >> Absolutely, sir. What's going on? >> Why do we have a warrant for arrest? >> Uh, for six counts of child endangering. >> Okay. During questioning, the mother admitted she knew the conditions were unacceptable, but claimed she was overwhelmed and lacked help. Officers emphasized that regardless of stress or circumstances, children cannot be left to live in filth and danger. >> We've been going through the CSB case for about uh since the beginning of January, about the end of December, >> right? Well, the children's services case is completely separate from the criminal investigation. >> Huh? >> I said the children services case is completely separate from the criminal investigation. >> You will grab her a pair of shoes. You know what? >> Yeah. >> Is that? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Actually, I'll grab a pair of shoes. Just remember that. >> Trust me, >> you haven't gone in. Just let him grab the pair of shoes. >> All right. Uh, I guess I'll see you guys at the shop. Uh, let me call my boss. I don't know what's going on. >> Okay. Thank you, sir. >> What's her name? Kaitlyn. >> Uh, Kimberly. >> Kimberly. I apologize. >> Where's a Where's a pair of shoes for her, dear? >> She's going to be going to the jail, unfortunately. >> Yeah, it's still bad. >> So, I walked in there. >> Yeah, I know. It's still bad. >> The roaches didn't hide. >> It ain't that big of a deal. She'll be out tomorrow. Yeah, she'll be arraigned. >> She'll have her day in court, dear. >> No reason to get all worked up. >> Oh god. Seeping seeping out in the air. >> Yes, man. >> You're a stronger man than I already shoot her. No, you did. [snorts] >> Yeah. I'll be in route some home to pick up the other half. All right. I'm going to transfer over to my car over here. Go take a seat. All right, dear. Let me turn this light on. [snorts] >> All right, dear. What I'm going to do is your rights. All right. Cuz right now you are under arrest before I can talk to you. Okay. Having these rights in mind, you're willing to talk to me about why you're under arrest tonight? >> You know why I put on your list? >> So, it's a six count of child endangering. I was actually uh the original officer that responded out here with children services when they were removed from the home. Do you remember me now? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um I mean, do you understand why the children were removed from the home in the first place? >> Yes. >> I mean, how did how did how did it get that bad? How did How did the mess, the animals, the I mean, I'm gonna be honest with you. That's the worst house that that day. That was the worst house I ever walked into. It's a little cleaner now. That's the worst house I ever walked into that had people living in it. How did How does it get like that? And I was the only one doing anything. >> Okay. So, you didn't have any help? [snorts] >> He works too much. So, I didn't have any help. Did you did you at any point like look around the house and go this is a problem? These living conditions are not okay. >> Yeah, we finally got the basement fixed. >> Yeah. Well, I'm talking I mean the kids being removed. I know that was a wakeup call. Can we both agree that was kind of a wakeup call? But before that, did you ever look around and go something here has to change? My children shouldn't live in this kind of filth right now. >> Yeah. Why? Why didn't you change it, dear? >> It's too late. >> I mean, be honest with me here. And this is just do you when the children were removed from the home, do you think that was the right choice? >> Yes. You don't think that the living conditions were suitable? You just I mean you would you say you were kind of at a loss of what to do with everything? >> Yeah. >> You're saying like >> police explained that the condition of the home crossed from neglect into criminal behavior leading to six counts of child endangerment. The mother was transported to jail to be booked and await arraignment. >> He wasn't helping you out. No, he works too much. >> Works too much. I got you. >> He's still working, >> right? Is that Is that your mom or is that his mom? >> That's his mom. >> That's his mom. Does she help out at all with the kids or anything? >> She watches the kids every now and then, >> but she's up in her 60s. >> I gotcha. All right, dude. Well, yeah. So, I mean, that's that's why you're being arrested. is the state of that home that the children were in. It rises to the level of criminality. The kids shouldn't have to suffer. All right. Um there's going to be a uh prisoner wagon that's going to come. They're going to take you to county. They'll book you in. You'll be arraigned tomorrow. That's where they're set bail and everything like that. >> Supposed to see the kids tomorrow. This is all stuff that they can work with you and everything like that. That's what CSB is there for. >> Thank you. Case concluded with all six children removed from the home. Both parents charged with six counts of child endangerment and authorities continuing oversight through child protective services and related investigations. Children rely entirely on adults for safety. Cleanliness and basic care and neglect can cause lasting harm. Feeling overwhelmed is not an excuse when a child's health and well-being are at risk. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. Six kids forced to live in that filth while adults made excuses. This is absolutely heartbreaking and enraging. Those children didn't fail their parents. Their parents failed them in every possible way. If officers say it's the worst house they've ever seen, imagine what those kids lived with every single day. The father admitted the child had been dirty since the night before. >> What's your middle initial? >> Huh? What's your middle [crying] initial? R. >> It's okay. >> Okay. I'm not saying this to be insulting that inside of the house is unsuitable for a child. >> Okay. >> Nice. >> Um, with that being said, we're not how it's going to roll out. We're going to hang out here. We don't want to cause any more stress or anything to the child or anything like that. >> On a technical level speaking, child is in our protective custody currently. The Department of Children and Family Services. >> The incident concluded with the child taken into protective custody, the home deemed uninhabitable, the father charged with child endangerment and child welfare authorities opening an ongoing investigation. A child's safety depends entirely on adult supervision. And even brief neglect can place a young life in serious danger. Living conditions that endanger a child's health will always trigger intervention, regardless of intent or excuses. This is the reaction of nizens to this situation. A 4-year-old wandering traffic while covered in filth is every parent's nightmare. This is pure neglect. That poor child deserved protection long before a stranger had to step in to save his life. If a delivery driver cares more about a child's safety than the people at home, something is deeply wrong. That thief thought they had it all figured out. But the next one, even sneakier. Stay tuned and comment your guess. >> On January '05, 2024, officers located Mr. Collier during a traffic stop and ordered him out of the vehicle following a call involving domestic violence and safety concerns for a mother and her children. this. So, we got him away and we wait by uh his bed gym door so he doesn't do anything stupid because he will just randomly start yelling at people and then he got too close to me and started pushing me against the wall. So, I got mad and I tackled him onto the couch and he wouldn't let me get up. So, he grabbed my hair and tried to pull me. So, I started punching him a lot and uh he got like right there and then he let go. So, I backed away and then uh he did it again. So, I I had a cup of tea in my hand. assigned him to his head and he brought me down to the couch again and I uh put my hand on his neck and to push up to get away and I did and then the third time well the second time my grandma was in the bathroom the entire time and she thought that I attacked him first when I didn't uh he saw Ken saw everything and then the third time he attacked me we both got to the floor and everyone saw it but she also thinks I attacked him first and then I started punching at him again until he let go and then I called you. >> Okay, >> we're good. Other family members gave conflicting accounts claiming they only witnessed the aftermath and were unsure who started the violence. >> They get this resolved and you guys are going about it all wrong. Okay. >> I was in the bathroom. All I heard was the boys attacking him and I came out. I pulled both the boys off. That's all I know. >> Teenage boys, >> him and Kagan. >> So, you don't know what started it? >> I really don't. >> You came out and they were all >> I was in the bathroom. >> All three of them were in a fight. >> In the bathroom going pee. >> That's Patrick and the two boys. >> That's all I know. I heard it. I heard it in the living room and I came out of the bathroom and both boys were on top of him. >> So you don't know what started started it though? >> I really don't. >> Has there been anything going on prior to you going to the bathroom? Any argument? Anything like that? Any screaming? >> Patrick were sitting on the couch. >> Okay. >> Watching TV. >> I don't know. >> I have nothing to say because the whole thing >> that's my mom and that's my stepdad. >> Stepdad. Okay. All right. What What happened tonight, Ken? Okay. So, first, uh, >> he tried to he was arguing with Carly. >> Who's Who's he? Pat. >> Patrick. >> Okay. >> Dutch was arguing with my sister Carly. And I try to calm him down so they don't get into a fight >> and he told me to go to bed like he always does every night. And so he starts to push me in the uh bedroom and I start to push him back, skip forward a few hours and then mom, my mom goes into the bathroom and then he puts his hands on Kagan and then I try to get him off of Kagan and then Kagan >> starts to push him back, you know, to get him off of it. >> And do you know what that argument started about with >> with Henry Patrick? >> Yeah. >> He just touched Kagan. That's all. Like touched his shirt like grabbed it. >> He grabbed Kagan's shirt. Were they arguing? Is that And then he grabbed his shirt or what? What? Why did he grab the shirt? because they were getting they were in an argument. >> Okay. >> Officers documented visible injuries on the children and gathered statements confirming that the stepfather had been drinking heavily and acting aggressively throughout the evening. >> When he pushed you, what happened? >> I pushed them back. >> Okay. Do you have a Can you flip your hair up? You got your eyes are your this eye looks a little black or something. Is that old or new or did you get struck at any point or >> I don't know. >> Okay. >> You know this ain't the right way to handle things. Why does it got to escalate to this? because he's not at fault. >> We don't know that or not. He's being >> But you guys automatically arrested him >> because the way you guys didn't answer the door and kept the kid in there. >> I didn't keep them in there. The boys were in the bedroom. >> And Sam, we know how you guys get when you guys get drinking. >> Okay. So, it's just for everybody's safety that we just detain them until we figure out what's going on. So, what happened to you? You got some bruises on you and some scrapes. >> Where? >> Well, you got scrape down here under your arm. >> Oh, that's from my dogs. >> So, you didn't get in the middle of that? I pulled the boys off of him, but no, those are from my dogs. >> So, this all started just cuz he was drinking and then he was Okay. >> Uh he's attacked my mom a few times. Uh in the past, >> okay. >> Okay. Do you have another family member you guys can go with tonight? >> Uh no. My mom hasn't done anything. It's just him. Every night he gets drunk and then just starts. >> Your mom hasn't been drinking today. >> Yeah, but she doesn't get drunk though. >> Okay. >> Not like he does. >> Okay. cuz he argues with people over stupid stuff, >> right? >> Okay. So, whenever was your mom around either of the times that >> Well, she was around. She was in the kitchen making supper the first time and then she came in and split us up. The second time she was in the bathroom and then she came out, split us up again. >> But she wasn't around when it started just for the end of it. >> No, not not the end of it. Well, yeah, she >> she was around the end of it, not the start of it, but both times. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, she hasn't done anything wrong. It's just Patrick. >> Police determined the stepfather was the primary aggressor based on consistent witness statements and the 12-year-old's detailed account. >> When you feel safe with her, taking care of you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. You got >> uh Patrick started it. >> Yeah. He said two different deals. One with him earlier today with him just now. >> Him first. Uh he witnessed everything with that happened with him. Patrick was getting in his face. Um, >> he said Patrick like grabbed his shirt or something and then they >> Yeah, they started sh he was shoving him up against the wall. >> We're scared. >> And then I get he said he pushed him back off of him. Well, then Patrick threw him on the couch and they kind of he was he said he did punch Patrick a few times trying to get him off. >> He didn't have anything to say to me. So, >> okay. >> Makes it easy. We'll charge him. >> Yeah. >> Sam, you can't interfere with me when I'm doing my job. You're lucky you're not going to jail right now. If you had taken one more step, you'd be going to jail right now. I have a job to do. We get called from 911 that a 12-year-old is here and has been battered. We have to investigate. >> The stepfather was informed he would be charged with domestic battery despite objections from other adults in the home. Investigate that. >> He didn't do anything though. >> Both we have two different incidents where he's the aggressor and you weren't present for the start of either of those incidents from the witness statements. He's going to be charged with two counts of domestic battery. >> He didn't do anything. >> I have witness statements, too. >> I told the boys off of >> after the fact. You were not present for the start of either of the incidents. That's >> what you told me. You were in the bathroom. >> You were not present. You were not present for the start of I understand that you weren't present when the incident start either of the incidents started from both witness statements and your own statements. So, you don't know what started it. You can't say what started it. >> He started it. He started it according to both. >> No, he did not. He was sitting on the couch. >> I'm not going to argue with you. You weren't present when it started, so you don't know the answer to that question. >> I'm not going to argue with you either. >> Perfect. As officers attempted to conclude the scene, the mother repeatedly interfered with the investigation, refusing commands and escalating tensions. >> Okay. He's going to be charged with two counts of domestic battery. Carly's been advised the situation. They both advised they're they feel safe staying with you. So, we're we're 108. We're leaving. Do you have any questions? >> I'm dropping charges. Right. >> You You can't The boys will. >> The state will pursue domestic batteries. Yes, they can. The domestic batteries. Take care. >> Actually, we're going to arrest her for obstruction. We're arresting her for obstruction. >> What? >> You're under arrest for obstruction? >> No, I'm not. >> Sam, we're going to be resisting, too. >> I didn't do anything. >> Don't add resistance. >> God damn. I didn't do anything. >> Don't add resisting, Sam. I didn't do anything. >> Stand up. >> I didn't do anything. I was just telling you. >> Hooked on my hair. Hold on. Your her hooked on my >> I didn't do anything. Boy, I didn't do anything. >> Quit pulling. Quit pulling. >> After multiple warnings, the mother was arrested for obstruction and resisting when she attempted to interfere and pull away from officers. >> I didn't do anything. I wouldn't obstruct you. I'm sitting in the truck. You tried to run inside. That's not good. Sam, stop. >> You obstructed earlier. >> Just get your citation. Go. Now you're resisting. >> Can I get a citation and go back inside? >> You're getting resisting also. Obstruction and resisting. >> Quit resisting and see what we can get done. >> You're making this difficult. You're making this more difficult than it needs to be. Sam, just stop today. Stop. >> You're not thinking logically, >> Mike. Please call Carly. >> Just stop. >> Tell us you got to come get the child. >> Who do you want to care for your child? >> Would you guys please? I'm not doing anything. >> Who wants to care for your child? a lot of them. >> Why am I obstructing? >> You obstructed whenever I was detaining Patrick earlier. >> That was earlier. I was telling you what was going on. The boys >> I told you to get back and you weren't listening. You >> I was sitting in this and then you resisted when they tried to get you away from me. That's >> No. >> And you're resisted again. >> Mike, please. >> There's nothing I can do. Sam, you did this. >> I didn't do it. >> Please, guys, please. Mike, please. It's going to be easier for you to get in. You're going to have a hard time getting in if you don't get one foot in first. >> Why would you guys do this? You did it. I instructed you several times to get back when I was detained. I was sitting in the chair. >> Came towards me, poked me with your finger and interfered with my investigation. >> I was sitting in the chair talking to Mike and that guy. >> Okay, we're going to shut get in. Get in. >> Can I get out tonight? >> You will be out tonight. As long as you cooperate with jail staff, you'll be processed. The incident concluded with the stepfather charged with two counts of domestic battery one, resulting in a guilty verdict and a one-year conditional discharge, while the mother was convicted of resisting arrest and sentenced to 12 months of conditional discharge and a fine. Children should never have to call police to protect themselves from abuse. Alcohol fueled violence inside the home leaves lasting trauma even when no one wants to admit it. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. That poor kid was brave enough to call for help, and it still took way too long for adults to protect him. Watching the mother interfere while her child was being hurt is absolutely heartbreaking. Domestic abuse doesn't stop being abuse just because the victim is a child. This made me furious. Even small acts of dishonesty can destroy big opportunities. The suspect thought a few dollars wouldn't matter. But every shortcut has a price. In the end, she lost her job, her freedom, and her future. Integrity always pays more than any scam ever could. >> OPEN THE DOOR. OPEN THE DOOR. >> On March 23rd, 2025, officers were dispatched after a child secretly called 911, reporting ongoing abuse and aggressive behavior by her intoxicated father inside the home. >> Hey, how you doing? It goes to the judge and you tell the judge, "Hey, this is why this is what's going on." You know, you tell him the history. >> I was praying to God last the beginning of this month. Authorities advised the family on protective orders, and the child was left in a safer environment under supervision to prevent further abuse. Abuse doesn't have to be physical to be dangerous. When fear becomes normal inside a home, speaking up, even quietly, can save lives. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. That kid showed more courage than most adults. Calling for help was the right move. The dad's attitude turned a welfare check into an arrest. All he had to do was cooperate. This is exactly why domestic calls are so dangerous. Ego and alcohol make everything worse. What do you think about these situations? Comment below to share your thoughts and like this video if you want to continue calling out such cases.
