Yet she's reaching in her waistband. >> What did you just do? Huh? >> Nope. We're not playing that. Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Are you kidding me? Really? >> Said you get hit. >> Wow. >> I said it's not the first time that it's happened. >> It's not the first time. >> Put the brick. >> You woke up and you didn't really know what's going on. We'll explain to you. >> I did. Hold on. You hold on, please. You just told my daughter. You just told my sister. >> If you don't calm down, we can't explain to you. >> All right. >> For these kids, danger didn't come from the outside world. It came from the people who were supposed to protect them. Every day was filled with chaos, fear, and emotional harm that no child should ever have to endure. When police finally became involved, they quickly realized this wasn't a simple family dispute, but a deeply toxic environment that was breaking these children down. This is when police rescue kids from an extremely toxic family. Irresponsible mom plants dodge drugs on her kid during traffic stop. >> You ain't made good choices, have you? on my >> No, you're not. >> No, you're not. >> Why there's a test kit on the hood? Because the straw that was in your seat tested positive formings. That's why. >> On June 06th, 2023, officers conduct a traffic stop related to vehicle and trailer registration issues while speaking calmly with the adults present. Things quickly went terribly wrong when the mother started doing something unacceptable. >> So, with that being said, there is a female coming out here. Do you have anything? Hey. >> Hey, Mr. Smith. This is Steven. >> Who? >> Steven. >> Okay. Talked to you a couple times. >> Okay. Uh, you don't have a tag on your trailer. >> But there is a tag. >> There is one for you. >> If you put in Jerry William Howard the second. >> Okay. Well, see, I'm not I don't have a crystal ball. And if there's no tag on it, then I can't make heads or tails of it. >> Yes, sir. >> So, there's not a tag on the vehic on the trailer at all. >> You got your license on you? >> No, sir. I don't. >> I'm driving over hand. >> You hurt your hand? >> Uhhuh. You ain't You're able to eat though? >> Yeah, but I can't do like this. But I had to be >> You got your driver's license? >> I don't have You don't have a driver's license? >> All right. Step out for us. >> Identification checks reveal licensing problems, prompting officers to separate occupants and clarify who is legally able to drive. >> Can you roll this window down? >> Just step back here for me. So, whose vehicle is this? >> Uh, where are you guys coming from? Uh we were coming from Walmart. She had to meet her mama there to get some money and we were stopping here to get some ice and so the water's pretty cool the house. >> The vehicle belongs to her. >> Trailer belongs to her and her dad. But the registration's under >> Okay. Is there anything illegal in the vehicle? Any illegal narcotics? Anything like that? >> Just the kids. >> There's kids in there. >> Yes, sir. >> I didn't see any kids. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, do y'all have a show? >> They're just documenting us what we do. That's all. And you got that many suspensions. But his name uh pulled me over like a month and a half ago and he said I didn't have no habitual or nothing on it. >> No, I didn't say you had habitual that many suspensions. You don't you don't have a license at all. Yes, >> sir. >> You can't drive, dude. You're going to go to jail. >> I know. >> You know, and because of all the past arrests you've had. >> Yes, sir. >> How many times you been arrested for driving? >> For driving? >> Yeah. Once. >> Just once. >> All right. This would be number ago. >> Okay. Well, if if you got arrested today, it' be number two. Your third one's a felony. It's >> still a felony. Yeah. Stop doing that. >> No. No. Cuz you got a DUI. >> Yeah. >> You got Yeah. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. I forgot I did have DUI. >> Yeah. >> I wasn't arrested for that. >> But your girl's got a valid license. >> I know. She hurt her hand and I was stupid for driving. >> She's going to have to drive. Just Just hold tight a minute. Okay. During routine questioning, officers notice suspicious movements inside the vehicle and request additional assistance. >> She's got a valid license. And of course, he doesn't he's not habitual anything. He's got one prior for uh for driving, but uh there's no reason why she can't drive. >> There was something when I walked up there and she reached underneath the seat for something. 99's on his way. >> Okay. How many How many young is in the car? >> Got two. >> Okay, before y'all would step out. >> But yeah. Hey, your shoes. Your shoes. >> Am I able to get the ball? >> When we get done, you step over here, buddy. >> Hey, she's sitting on a pipe. >> I knew she put something under there. >> Sorry. It's really, really dirty. Yeah. >> I don't have a vacuum because right now like they're working on getting power on our property. >> You got a medical card? >> Um, >> yes or no? >> Yeah. Okay. >> I I ain't worried about I'm going to see if they'll come up here for a minute. >> Yeah. >> Okay, you're good. You don't have anything on your bra, anything like that. pad. I know y'all don't have guns or anything. Y'all able to kind of stand there and just walk? >> Absolutely. >> So, we can speed this up. This is just tape. Good. >> Oh, no. That's a balloon. >> Okay. That's the one he's blowing up. >> A consensual check of the vehicle area reveals items that raise concern. Shifting the stop from administrative to investigative. >> Ain't nothing in the vehicle that's going to get you in trouble today. I guess she has that in there. Feel a bit. She was hiding something. It was a box full. You ever need a spare tooth? That's gross. Residue in that straw. >> I don't know, but it's worth checking for sure. >> She was hiding that what she was doing. I walked. She I scared her. She didn't see me standing where I was at. I asked her if she had anything on her and she kind of looked away. So, >> you want to walk back here real quick? >> Yep. Bring your popcorn. >> We're just going to go in front of this gold car. Um I'm super easy going. Okay. >> I know. >> As long as you're honest with me, I can work with you. If you lie to me, there ain't nothing I can do for you. Okay. So, with that being said, there is a female coming out here. Do you have anything on you that's going to get you in trouble? >> No. >> You don't have anything in your bra? Nothing in your pants? >> No. >> Okay. She's going to come out here and check. >> Okay. >> So, I just didn't want you to lie and >> All right. >> to charge. Okay. >> All right. I'm going hang out back up here. >> Yeah. >> Little girl wants to go to bed. >> Mama wants to let them go in there. Officers focus on ensuring everyone's safety while clarifying ownership and responsibility for items found. >> If they can go in there by themselves now, we can't let you go. >> Okay. Well, just hang tight. >> I'll go. >> I can't let you go in there right now. >> I'd buy you grab this stuff. I'm going to go test that straw. 9:30 >> 653 5125 >> I know who you are. >> You ain't made good choices, have you? >> No, you're not. >> No, you're not. >> If you if you got drug illegal narcotics in you, be not working on your life except making it worse. So, don't don't kid yourself. We're not trying to be mean or disrespectful, but we wouldn't be in this situation. We wouldn't be in this situation if you were driving if you had a tag on a vehicle and you didn't have >> Huh? >> And no one's [ __ ] with me about >> Okay. And I gave you the name to show you it was >> that name went in this deer, not out this one cuz cuz I was dealing with other things. >> Okay. >> Don't mind. positive. Jason, you mind? >> I think she's got it on her. Yeah, she uh she has actually spent the night at my house. She was high school prince and my daughter, and she looks 1 million times different now than what she did then. >> An adult's actions during the stop draw immediate attention from officers, resulting in swift intervention. >> And she's telling me, she said, "Mr. Smith, you know who?" I said, "I know exactly who you I said, "You're not making good choices, are you?" I'm trying. I said, "No, you're not. You got illegal narcotics in the vehicle, will you?" That's not making good choices with your kids. >> When I told her that there was a female coming that she wanted to start, oh, I got to go to the bathroom. I need to take the blah blah blah. >> Yeah. So, she she wanted to leave and go to the bathroom. When I asked her if she had anything on her, she kind of not looking right. >> Wanted something. She's reaching her pocket right now or she's reaching in his pocket. >> She's reaching in her waistband. >> What did you just do? >> Nope. We're not playing that. Stand up. >> Excuse me. >> Stand up. >> Ma'am, stand up. >> Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Check his back and his waistband. >> If you just put something in him, he's going to be taken away from you. Did you or did you not? No. >> You didn't put anything in his pants. >> This coin purse. Honey, I got to get this out. Okay. >> Are you kidding me? Really? Are you me? Do not reach up. >> Turn around. >> Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> I didn't ask you. I told you to put your hands behind your back. Philip, take her over there. Please. She just put that in his pants. >> I'm sorry. >> It's okay, baby. Relax. It's okay. >> Okay. Hey, listen. Stop. Stop. Stop. Hey, listen. Do you have anything else on you? >> No, ma'am. >> Okay. Listen. Face the car. Okay. Authorities secure the scene, separate individuals, and prioritize the well-being of the minors present. >> I got to search you. You nothing that's going to poke or stick me, right? >> Hey, sweetie. Hey, sit right here for me. Hey, what's your name? Hey, just calm down, baby. >> This ain't your fault. >> I'm talking to her. Calm down for me. Okay. No. Why? I didn't stop talking. The whole coercion of telling her what to say were right there just a second ago. >> I said it'll be come out of your mouth. No, you said if they happen to ask and then you told her what to say. That's correct. >> And you want to know why there's a test kit on the hood? Because the straw that was in your seat tested positive formings. That's why. >> So you're probably going to jail, too. I mean, if they're stuffing kids stuff down kids pants. >> Not the girl. Just sitting there for >> Yeah. I cannot believe she was watching me. As soon as you pulled up, she I watched her put it in the back of his pants. >> What the >> She pulled it out of her pants and put it in his pants. >> I hate when people involve like that, >> man. I hate I hate I got an attitude with you, but that really pisses me off when you start diving off into kids with stuff like that. That's that's ridiculous. >> I told her no. >> I'm sorry, sir. >> Well, if she Why you going to get her out of jail? >> Family members are contacted and arrangements are made to ensure the children leave the scene safely. >> She's my mother. You know, I got you. >> Yeah. And you see what she's >> Can I call her to come and get us? >> You can call her here. Can I call her to come and get us? >> Absolutely. >> I watched her soon as Jesse pulled up. I watched you want to give her back. >> She took it out of her pants and put it in his pants. What would you do? >> I charged her with child endangerment to you. >> Well, I don't have gloves on. You want to test this real quick? >> I could not believe. Dude, I got goosebumps that pissed me off. >> Where's it at? Is it in here? >> Yeah, it's was in the front of her pants and she took it out. Yeah. I walked over there and she tensed under the blue bag at the >> Yes, I've seen it. >> Um well, they were on a traffic stop, but um mom had put something. I honestly I'm not really sure what all that entails, but yeah, that's what it's kind of looking like. Um but if you want to come up here and we can talk with you and then we can get them sorted out. Okay. >> Okay. Yes, ma'am. I appreciate it. >> Okay. Here you go. >> Hello. >> She she's on her way, honey. When your grandma gets here, we'll just talk to her and let her know everything that's going on and then she can take you. Okay. >> Can't get no darker than that. >> He's going to be >> Yes. For what was the possession of that? >> I didn't have that. >> I didn't know that was there. I was just >> Have a seat. Officers explain the charges and document the incident, concluding the stop with enforcement action. >> He's honest and everything's honest. >> Can the kids have my money, please? >> We'll talk about that in a minute. Just just have a seat for a little. >> What was on the stage first? >> U probably the darkest test kit I've ever seen. >> Officer Smith, I do not >> That's a positive test. >> Well, sir, I do not. >> Okay. Well, it was in that little that was a little heart in the little box. >> Yes. >> And that's what it that's what it says. >> That one good. >> Yeah. >> Hey, if that's her, y'all. >> All right. Have a seat. >> Was in my seat. >> Yes. >> Even if she says it's hers. >> Yes. Have a seat. >> Hey, can you turn your AC up? The incident resulted in possession related charges for the adult involved along with child endangerment charges based on actions observed during the stop. Authorities ensured the children were released to a safe guardian and the case proceeded through the appropriate legal channels. Remember, traffic stops can escalate quickly when unsafe decisions are made, especially when minors are present. Responsible behavior and honesty during police encounters are critical to preventing serious legal consequences. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. I can't believe how fast that situation spiraled from a routine stop. This really shows how bad decisions affect more than just the person making them. The officers handled this carefully while keeping everyone safe. Think the situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. >> Right. No, they said their brother got cooked by the broom and they told us that they that's the form. >> Well, no. Why he had handcuffs? >> He's under arrest. >> On September 13th, 2024, school staff reported visible injuries on a child, triggering a mandatory report to authorities and child services. >> Those bank notes belong Sheriff's Office. Might have to go inside and talk to you guys real quick. >> What happened? >> Are you mom? >> Yes, I am. I'm have to talk to you guys. You don't have >> Okay, >> I guess you go first. >> Um, >> why would you talk to a second? >> Yeah, cuz that's that's how we operate just to make sure. >> No, we we got a family together. >> A deputy and a child welfare investigator arrive at the family's home and requests to speak with the parents. >> Like, so we talk together. >> Okay. That's not how the protocol is. Well, it's going to be like that today or you just ain't going to get to talk to nobody. Simple as that. >> What's going on? >> There was a report that came in that I need to speak a piece to you guys separately about it. >> Well, you can't speak that separately. We are family. >> I understand. >> Father, that's mother. >> What kind of report? >> He got a ring. He got a ring. Uh, >> so they had to separate the family. It was just to get >> so it's not going to be separated. We we're a family. You can talk to us together and nothing at all. >> Just as an example, right? You're driving down the road, you get hit by a car and the car flees. You may see it as a silver car, she may see it as a white car. Everybody has >> Parents immediately resist the request to be interviewed separately, insisting on speaking together as a family. >> Their own perception of what occurs. So, we need to talk to everybody separately because when you start talking about it and she hears you, that's going to influence what she may remember. She may say something that influences what you may remember. Not saying that anybody's making something up or lying, but everybody has their own perception. So, that's the reason why we want to talk to you. That's all it is. >> You can talk with the officers here and I can talk to her here. You don't have to camp. >> Why would we need the officers though? It's just by law. When DCF comes out, you bring the officers. >> Why we wasn't notified? >> You're being notified now. Notify you >> when abuse started. >> Your report came in today >> about what? >> That's what we want to talk to you about. >> So, we know it's abuse. So, what kind of abuse? >> Go ahead. >> Sir, we're not doing this. >> Yeah. >> Just let you guys not doing. This is the protocol that may come with >> authorities explain standard protocol emphasizing that separate interviews are required to ensure accurate and uninfluenced statements. >> Okay, let let her talk. Let let her talk to me. >> All we have is a story right now. Try to get your side. >> Six kids, ma'am. >> You got one in college, >> right? >> We have one going to the military. So obviously they're the oldest. They would have been getting abused. Where's the abuse claims come from? >> Nobody is here to accuse you of anything. Okay. >> We have to do our job. >> The You guys are doing a great job. Y'all sitting back and y'all letting her talk. That's That's great. You had to accompany her. Okay. I'm telling y'all that we're not talking about our kids separately. >> We It ain't going to happen. >> Okay. >> You got to go to court. You got to do something. You got to do it another kind of way. >> We Listen, I need to find I need to find out what's going on. >> Let her figure it out. >> Okay. First of all, I'm going to educate the both of you in this situation. She's actually here to support us. Okay. So, we're here for the allegations. So that falls under >> the mother is interviewed privately and denies abuse describing discipline as verbal correction and timeouts. >> Florida state statute. >> What's the Florida state statute of Florida state rule? >> Okay. When separating when interviewing people in regards to a criminal case, we are to interview separately. If you do not let us do that, that falls under obstruction. >> No. No. Cuz my mother is not getting taken. They that can't be taken. >> My kids not getting mugged. >> Are you would you like to >> allegation? >> Can can you can you speak to to the deputy and this lady? >> She said by yourself >> and we will explain that to you when you separate. >> Let explain it to me. >> The husband to me. >> How does your husband discipline? >> How he talking to you now? He he got to he got to he got to >> I don't want I know you're you're safe. I don't want to upset you any further. >> I don't abuse my kids. >> My kids is the only husband visit. >> He talked to me. He put me in time out. >> Okay. Suppose they tell you. >> Investigators disclosed that multiple children independently reported being hit with household objects as punishment. >> We could say the same thing. >> What they say? >> Somebody hit him with a >> Oh, wow. >> Would your child have any reason to feel unsafe in your home? >> No. Cuz I told you the child said those words. >> What? And they love the out of me. And >> they did say they did say they love you. I'm just saying we have three consistent stories that have never the kids didn't even wink an eye to say what they said. And we have a child that said they're unsafe in your house. >> Wow. >> They got to worry. No. They said their brother got cooked by the broom and they told us that they that's the form of discipline. Nobody said any little travelers were taken. Nobody said they got grounded. Nobody said they didn't watch TV. They said they get hit. >> Wow. >> They said it's not the first time that happened. >> It's not the first time. >> But the branch >> what? >> Sometime mommy pick a switch from the branch. >> Yeah. They I like I told you >> parents dispute the claims stating the children are misinterpreting discipline or repeating misunderstandings. Kids said the same thing. >> What they say? >> Somebody hit him with a >> Oh wow. >> Would your child have any reason to feel unsafe in your home? >> Hell no. >> Cuz I told you the child said those words. >> What? And they love the out of me. >> They did say they did say they love you. I'm just saying we have three consistent stories that have never the kids didn't even wink an eye to say what they said. And we have a child that said they're unsafe in your house. how >> they got to worry. No, they said their brother got caugh by the broom and they told us that they that's the form of discipline. Nobody said any little traps were taken. Nobody said they got grounded. Nobody said they didn't watch TV. They said they get hit. >> Wow. >> They said it's not the first time that happened. >> It's not the first time. >> But the branch >> sometime mommy pick a switch from the branch. Yeah, they I like I told you. I told you I I drained them, y'all. But they don't mean I hit them. >> Hi, I know this is uncomfortable, but I'm going to cut to the chase. So, the abuse report came in where your children says um they were hit by a group. How discipline? Yeah. How discipline in the house? >> Normal. >> Normal to you. Normal to me and normal to different things. I mean normal. I mean it's you know normal. It's no it's >> remember when my partner said a minute ago about upbringing if different and one person's perception could be like oh it's time out that's too much or they're yelling at that's too much or >> so define your normal. Normal is uh a yell yelling, you know, I mean, sit down somewhere. Normal, you know, being like, >> um, do you slap your kids? >> No. >> Officials reference physical injuries observed by school staff, noting patterns inconsistent with accidental harm. >> You never hit your kids? >> No. Not like not not slaps. >> Spank them. Thank them. You use a belt? You use anything to hit your face if they >> slap on the wrist? Nothing. >> Is there any reason why you just listed that? >> I don't know. We have two the twins that I they they were premium. So they they they kind of if you talk to them, you barely can understand. I don't know if you talked to I spoke to both of them and I was able to understand. You have a very shy one and one that's very articulate. She's more open and able to >> but you can understand everything. >> I was able to understand. Okay. So the allegations came in where your son reported that he was hit by a room by you. >> Right. >> Okay. You're aware. Are you aware of any marks and bruises that was left? It could have been by an accident. >> Okay. He made the report to somebody at school and that they're mandated reporters so they have to look at um >> one child reportedly stated they felt unsafe at home escalating the seriousness of the investigation. >> Let us know what's happening. So when the bruise wraps around the back of his ankle, >> right, >> it's purple and all red. So if it wraps around that that room or could have been a build >> and I'm just saying that I'm not saying that's what happened. I'm just telling you >> what we're saying is if we're asking you how you discipline your kids spank them with the broom tells us you spank him with the broom and and that dispels our fears of that. You could be moving the broom or get out of the way and you hit him an accident. We just want to know if it's intentional, if it's accidental. Is that your normal way of disciplining? >> My kids, if you notice, they they have scratches in the face. >> So, they got the scratches in their little sister and stuff like that. But all three kids, all three kids said that. >> So, all I ask for that for the one that had the mark, we asked what happened to your life. Simple as that. Does it happen often? >> What else is you? >> Yes. This happened though. >> You said it was not the first time. >> Not the first time. >> Based on statements and visible injuries, the father is detained and later charged with child neglect while child services continue follow-up actions. >> And your child used the words, "I'm not safe." >> Wow. >> Yeah. >> But that's a lot. >> How can we determine if it took a lie? I cannot determine >> the the actual bruise or injury is on the child, >> but they have plenty of bruises from all of >> Did you see the roof that he just showed? This is recent. This was >> That was a recent brute. >> We understand they have old old scars from from the little ones fighting and roughousing and stuff. We understand that. That happens to to a lot of kids. >> Okay. But but a bruise like that takes a lot of >> force in the house. Is there any other room in the house? >> No. >> So I mean wherever they wherever the allegations come from. I know obviously he has rooms but uh why he would say that is >> Mr. Tori at this time going to have you stand up turn off real quick. You are going to be okay. >> What's going on? Why he handcuff >> under arrest? For what? >> Unfortunately, >> we're gonna take a walk to my car. >> I got take a minute for for us to get there. I would just I ain't want to be back here too long. >> I got you. >> The father was charged with child neglect based on consistent child statements and observed injuries. Child protective services continued involvement to assess household safety and determine further protective actions. Remember, mandatory reporters are legally required to act when signs of harm are observed, regardless of intent or family history. Cooperation and transparency during child welfare investigations can significantly affect outcomes. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. This shows how quickly a school report can turn into a serious legal situation. The resistance to separate interviews made everything look worse. It's unsettling how different adults and children can define normal discipline. You think the officers were out of options here? Watch what happens next on the body cam and tell us if you would have done the same. The next incident is when all hell breaks loose. When DCF shows up to collect baby from mom, you just lied TO MY DAUGHTER'S FACE AND TOLD HER YOU HAD A CRUSH. >> On January 26th, 2023, officers arrive with child services under a court order to take custody of a baby immediately facing resistance from an adult in the home. >> Because I'm making sense. >> No, sir. Because you're rambling. if you could just knock on the door. Hey, we're allowed to come in forcibly. You need to produce a child. If you don't, we are going to force entry and come to home. Something like that. And just about every minute repeat that on the door. >> I'm going to let the other guys hold the spot. >> He's on his way. Give us 5 to 10 minutes and then we'll take it from there. But we're not leaving. >> Minnesota Police Department. >> Police repeatedly announced their authority to enter the residence and explain that force may be used if the child is not produced. And we have paperwork to enter your home and we will use force if you don't answer the door. >> The the court order has a clause for allow officers make forceful entry to get the child. Judge it add a clause in there. I read it off this sergeant. He's on his way. Jordan's out there just making announcements and we're pounding on the door. Um >> I mean she's she's in there. She looked out. >> You actually saw >> Well, I can't say it was the girl in the photo, but somebody looked out the back window. Yep. >> Saw me here and then ducked down and went back. Well, somebody answered the door. They said it wasn't the mother, but she immediately was like, "Hang on. Just slam the door." And now nobody's answering. So, I'll let Sergeant know all that. He says, "Good. He's on his way. Hold it back if you guys hang out here." >> No, nobody's in. >> Will you tell them on the other side that the door's open? >> My mom boyfriend might be in his room, but my mom's at work. >> Okay. >> My daughter You just GOT TO MY DAUGHTER'S YOU HAD A SIR. Let me know information. Can you just say Hold on. >> You walked off and you didn't really know. We'll explain to you. >> The adult challenges the legality of the paperwork demanding proof of address and questioning the officer's authority. >> You hold on, please. >> Let me talk to you, sir. >> This what I'm saying. >> I'm being ruled down. >> I'm being ruled because I just feel there's no address on there. There's no name for the person who said this thing on the address. All that's illegal. >> You just told my doctor. You just told my >> If you don't calm down, we can't explain. >> All right, let me calm down. >> You You show me the search warrant. >> My thing is the search doesn't have our address on you. The search warrant is for here. >> You're shouting again. If you don't, I can go. >> The search the search warrant. You speak about it. >> Misunderstood. >> No, no, no. I understand. >> You said you had a search warrant. She clearly told me. I never said the word search warrant. >> That's what I'm telling you, bro. >> No, you're not telling me anything. >> I don't want to talk TO YOU. >> YOU'RE NOT TELLING me anything if you don't want to. >> All right, so you want to be nice to you? I want you to be reasonable. >> We have an order to enter the home and take the child. >> Officers attempt to calm the situation, explaining the court order and the purpose of the visit while waiting for a supervisor. >> From the address from this address, >> there's no address on that. Mother of the child has this address listed as her residence. >> I was told by the female that answered the door that she was here with the baby. >> Okay. >> What's going on? I woke up and y'all impatient because you're being impatient. I just woke up and you're in my house. >> You woke up and you weren't you weren't prepared to see us. >> Can I explain to you why we're here? Can I Yes, ma'am. Okay, sir. >> Because he's not telling me why you're here. He's making no sense to me. >> Will you give me just a minute? >> Yes, please. Do you want to look in the house any further? >> I do want to see the last room that was locked. >> It was locked. Okay. I think Officer Schaefer sitting out the front. We're going to sit here and hang out wait till my supervisor gets here and then we'll go from there and reexlain it to him if he's going to listen and we'll get access to that room. Okay, that's no problem. But he's being awfully upset and unreasonable. So, we're not going to take it to that next level yet by which my sergeant is here. >> Right. Doesn't matter. >> So, the mother put her address here. >> So, this address is listed as her address. >> How How can she do that? A teenage family member confirms the baby was recently inside the home, increasing concern about concealment. Her name, >> I know you have commentary, but let me just finish real quick so you can hear the whole thing. >> DCF has paperwork, a judge signed paperwork that says the police can use force and enter this home and retrieve the baby. That That is the paperwork. How do I know how old your daughter, right? This is your daughter. >> All right, she explain that. Now I got to calm down. >> Your daughter told us that she was here. >> I did not say that. I said I just came from home from school and my mom said, "Is she here?" You said, "Yeah, and you closed the door, right?" Like you were going to go get her cuz you didn't know. That's fine. >> Question is, >> nobody's mad at you. >> I don't want to I don't want to interject. I just want to know that. >> Are you okay? >> So that's what we were looking for her. >> Yeah. So y'all walked in. She was >> We were told she was here. Listen >> and we came in. That this is really this is very disturbing. Right. >> No. No. Listen. You were asleep, right? You were asleep, right? >> Right. Imagine that. >> No. Listen. Your 16-year-old daughter opened the door, says yes, you can come in, right? And did we leave after you you said you can't be in here and leave? Right. We left, right? Yes or no? >> Y'all still here, too? >> Yes. No. No. No. We left the house. Is that correct? Yes or no? >> It took a second for y'all to get out. >> Yes or no? >> Yes. Police clarify that the judge authorized forced entry and that the listed address legally ties the residence to the child's mother. >> It had to start I had to start getting Yes or no? >> Yes sir. You >> told I got I >> we have good reason to be in there with the judges. >> Now I understand you had permission from what you said. >> All I was asking for was proof of address and proof of just show show me she's show me >> you have to give us an opportunity to explain if you woke up. >> This is great. Explanations are great, right? But you're not showing me the proof. If we're in a court of law right now, you guys will lose the case because you haven't showed me the proof to say >> there's no case to lose. This isn't a criminal matter. >> I didn't say this is a case. I said if we were in a corner lock proof is in the pudding. >> If you do not show proof, how are >> Let him go. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> My super is going to come here. We're going to explain to you again that we're going to go in there and check that last room. Okay. So either you can let us do it now or wait till my supervisor. We're just having a conversation. We're just going to hang out here. You're being very hard to talk to because I'm Oh, sorry. >> And stuff like that. Okay. >> I'm hard to talk to. >> So that Yes. >> Because I'm making sense. >> No, sir. Because you're rambling off. So you tell me my ramblings aren't making a lot of sense. >> No sir. You're being rude and interruptive. So, we have to hang out here for my supermarket and then we're going to speak to you again. >> I'm not trying to give you a heart and then we're going to have to go in there. >> The paperwork is shown clearly confirming the address and authorizing officers to retrieve the child. >> You don't give us permission and we're going to have to execute. >> I get what you're saying. Do you understand? I'm not trying to give you a hard time, right? >> No, I don't agree with you. You are giving me a hard time. >> I'm trying to give you a hard time. >> Sir, do you know that the last time that we were here, she ran out the back door? >> No, I don't know that. >> Okay. That's why we have four officers here and we have a supervisor on the way. I don't know none of this is going on. That's not like that's not that that child is belongs to the state. >> So y'all agree with him that y'all understand? >> You're getting caught up on act like he's he act like a cop right now. Right. >> All right. One room locked obviously. >> Right. She's in there. >> Yeah. More than likely. He's being a pain in the butt. But I finally got through and said, "What's going on? We're not leaving. The sergeant's going to come over. We explain again. But we are going in there whether we can >> address on there." >> Yeah. I asked her. She goes, "There's an address here. Is there anywhere the child is going to be? He's already admitted. She just sleeps on the couch. We should be all just fine. So, >> you reckon like I can't hold the paper. >> See this emergency motion? >> Read it right >> for to produce access to the home. >> Hold that one second. >> And then this part right here says law enforcement officers are hereby authorized to make a forcible entry at any hour using any and all reasonable necessary. Right here. >> All right. Now, wait. She has refused to p >> officers are finally allowed to proceed further into the home while tensions remain high. >> Introduce the child to the state. >> That's all for real. Okay. >> The residence. This is your address. >> Thank you. That's what the I'm talking about. Now you can give me >> Okay. But you understand that you would have told me the address off rip n would have happened. That's all I'm saying. If she would have pulled that out off rip and or he said he had it in his hand, >> it would have been easier. >> Show me no addressing with people and getting >> all asked for the address. I'm talking about the same thing from the beginning. The address. I keep saying, "Show me the address." >> It's right here. >> Right. >> All right. Uh DCF's up front and stuff like that because that's where the guy is that kicked us out. >> We didn't want to kind of escalate anymore. Here's what happened. The 16-year-old daughter's like, "Finally answer the door. Hey, you can come in." >> They go through the house. They find two doors and knocked on the one. The male came out, freaked out, cursing. Get out, get out, get out. There's still one door locked and they're not no one answer the door. And he doesn't want us to answer it. We backed out. Took us a while to explain it to him. Explain it to him. He still doesn't want to go us to go in there. So I said we're just going to wait till you get here. We explain it again. >> One bedroom with a man who who they're saying the kid's not in there. >> Yes. Everyone >> the owner of the house. >> But he doesn't want us to look into the >> Okay. And that would be the parent of the child. >> No. No. No. No. The parent of the house. >> Who's the parent of the child? >> What's her name? >> Is that person here? >> No. No. The child or that mother is not here. >> We believe because they're not letting us in there and nobody's answer the door and the door's locked. Let go. >> He's on the back side um with DCF and everybody on the outside. >> Two sides. >> Yes, sir. There's two doors. Okay. So, so if you would have never heard me arguing and debating with you guys, if you would have showed me the edge, I like okay, I would have said, "Okay, >> do you want us to wait for our supervisor?" >> The adult continues to interfere and is detained for failing to cooperate during the lawful execution of the order. >> All right, we'll wait. He's right here. >> This is the the guy that was good now. She showed me the address. >> This is the gentleman that lives here at this residence. He's seen the paperwork with the address on it. He understands what we're >> I get it now. She address now. >> You're going to let us go check now. Green light. It would have been a green light if you would have showed me the same thing. She just showed me the address. What was I? >> This is a rare circumstance cuz most people when the state says we need that child, >> but you can't treat every single >> They turned the child over. >> Is the kid here? >> I don't know. I just woke up. I just told >> the last bedroom was locked. >> I don't know what's going on. >> All right. Do you have a way to get into that last bedroom? >> I don't go in that room. I be in my room. >> Usually when a a bedroom is locked, it has to be open from the inside. So, somebody might be in there. >> Hold up. Hold up. Stay here for a second, man. Boss, >> what? >> Boss, >> your grandma's phone number. >> Give me one second. Sit down. >> 37. >> Please sit down. >> For what? >> Please sit down. >> For what? >> Because you keep walking around. I can't find the kid. You're being detained. Sit down, please. >> Officers locate the baby in a separate room, take the child into protective custody, and arrest the adult for obstruction. >> Okay. My grandmother. Y'all need to go to my grandmother house. Sit down on the on the curb or I can take you in my car in handcuffs. What do you want? >> Talk to some more. >> Sit down. Now don't get up >> now. Do you see? You want to talk to him or not? But you have to stay here. Do you understand? >> This is not where I stay at. Is that my grandma? >> Do you understand me? >> No, I don't understand you. >> Stay here and don't move. Do you understand that? If you get up, Officer Sullivan's putting you handcuffs. You're going to my car. I'm not warning you again. >> The reason that they're here is because you're not cooperating. Okay. We're not here to for criminal. We're not trying to take you to jail unless you start acting out and we have to do so. >> Okay. >> So, just relax. >> This is their house. Like, y'all, >> okay, but you were staying here at some point. That was the address that they have for you and the judge signed off on that address. >> Officer Sullivan's going to search you. Officer Sullivan's going to search you. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. >> Where was the baby? >> Under a blanket in the other. >> Is that what I have to do? >> Nope. Too late for that. >> Why do I have to go to jail? >> Because you know exactly why. I'm sorry. I'm done with this. >> You're being arrested for obstruction. Because you didn't No, you didn't cooperate. >> I I already have enough to have my classes. >> I'm sorry. I have no sympathy for you when you just lied to us. >> Turn around. Face the car. Please. Just hold still. >> Just hold still. >> Can you widen your stance, please? There you go. A little bit wider. >> We can't. It's too late now. >> That's just my baby. >> We weren't going to take you to jail, but >> your actions produce this result. >> Can I loosen this? >> No. >> Can you just get her info start? >> Yeah. >> Go ahead. Get in. Have a seat. >> Minimum. >> Can you send one of the girls from DCF over? >> Is there a way you guys can >> Okay. I've already explained to them that it sucks and that we're we're sorry for what happened. Uh you guys, do you know what your charge is? I'd like to do something like a child engagement or something. I want to read up on that and work with them. >> Figure it out. Take your time. Like this this one I want to do it right. So like I think that you can do 105 based on the violation of that. There's probably a statute on that. >> Um maybe call booking and find out. >> Yep. >> I'll keep Garrett here to help facilitate whatever is about to happen. Uh as far as you guys are concerned, you've got mom. You have all the information that you need to do at 10:15. >> Why don't you go start taking her to jail? >> Okay, no problem. She lost her right to be able to see him and stuff. >> Forgot to ask you exactly how you found the child. >> Uh she was in the bedroom across from the one that you wanted to get into. So the one that you were in, literally directly across from that, he said, "Hey, Sergeant, come with me." I followed him. He didn't speak any words other than come with me. >> He pointed in the room and I was like, "Is baby in here?" I was thinking maybe was signal seven by this time. >> Like I thought that's what was happening here. And uh so as he pointed in the room, I just hear like whatever little baby. So I just peel the blanket up and grab her. So she was covered. That baby was covered with like a comforter, which will be on my body camera. Um but they covered her up in order to conceal her from us. >> What happened was she was in the room that you guys couldn't get into when you left. >> The incident concluded with the baby taken into protective custody by child services. An adult in the home was arrested for obstruction and authorities continued follow-up actions regarding the child's placement and family compliance with court orders. Remember, court orders involving child welfare must be followed immediately, even if family members disagree or feel confused. Escalation and refusal to cooperate often lead to more serious legal consequences than the original situation. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. This situation spiraled because emotions took over instead of cooperation. Once a judge signs an order, arguing on the spot only makes things worse. It's heartbreaking how chaos and resistance can impact a child's safety. The tension is already high, or so it seems. What the body cam captures next saves a life pause and comment what you do here. The next incident is when she left her three kids home alone. What could go wrong? >> Is there anybody home with them? No. Okay, cuz they're all the way down the road. >> On May 5th, 18th, 2025, neighbors called 911 after seeing very young children wandering unattended, including one child lying in the roadway. >> Now, he's going to look up some prior or something. See if we can maybe figure something out. The uh sideyard's open. I don't know if the door's open, but All right. I'm going keep beating on the door in case somebody's like sleeping. That's what I'm assuming is happening. >> I saw two kids. I didn't see three. And I said I saw another one like 2 years old laying in the ground. Did not move. So I came back and then I saw him walking his dog. So I called 911. He went and grabbed him. He grabbed the little girl. I >> Nobody knows where they live. >> I live on the street. I've never seen any of them. >> Yes. >> That black Hulk over there. That black van >> right here next to the yellow one. >> Yep. >> Hey, sweetie. Can we come over here out of the road? Hey, come on. >> Hi. Do you have three kids? >> Are you going along? >> Officers locate the children near the road and confirm that no adult supervision is present at the home. >> Is there anybody home with them? >> Okay, cuz they're all the way down the road. >> Jesus, >> nobody's home with the kids. >> Nope. I was trying to arrest the public to get some food. >> Yeah. >> All right. I'm going to read you something real quick. Before you ask any questions, you must understand your rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can't be used against you in court. >> You also have rights. I'm answering any time today. Talk to the lawyer. Do you understand your rights? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> How old are the children? >> Is a virtual. >> Okay. Okay. And then the other one. >> So, how old's the oldest one? >> Four. >> Four. >> Four. >> Why would you leave them home alone? >> I don't do that. I always take them with me. But >> Well, you don't you don't always do that cuz you left them home alone today. And >> police advise the mother of her rights after she returns to the residence during the investigation. >> To let you know, one of them was just laying in the middle of the road. The other one was just wandering about aimlessly. And there's another one about three blocks down. >> Oh. Can we get her info so I can call Delta Charlie Fox? >> Do you have your ID on you? >> All right, let me see it. >> I'll request an immediate response. >> Yeah. >> Oh, they're fine. Police notify their supervisor and request an immediate response from Child Protective Services due to the danger involved. >> No thanks to you. >> The mother states she went grocery shopping and has no family or support system in the area. >> Give you a heads up. We're in the early stages of it. Um we got a call about three found children in the middle of the road. All three less than the age of four. Um one of them was laying in the middle of the road. They were walking up and down. One of the neighbors said, "Hey, they live at this house." Um, so we go to knock on the door, no answer. While we're knocking, a car pulls into the driveway. Uh, it's the mother of the children. Um, she left a four, three, and a one-year-old home alone. So, I'm going to call DCF for an immediate response. Um, and then she's going to go 10:15 and we'll figure out the children. She looks like she ran to go run an errand. She said that she never leaves them home alone. I said, "Well, you can't say never because you did today." So, once I get more, I'll give you more, but I just wanted to give you a heads up. your oldest child. >> Where did you go just now? >> I picked grocery from Publix and then I went to Aldi to get him some fruits. >> What time did you leave this morning? >> 11:39. So >> 11:30ish. >> Who else lives here? Who all lives here? >> My husband, but he's traveled. >> He's what? >> He's traveled. So currently I'm the only one with the >> He's traveling. >> He's traveled. Officers note additional concerns including the lack of car seats and the length of time the children were unsupervised. >> Not around his travel. >> Oh, he's not around. >> Yes. >> Okay. So, it's just you. >> Do you have any family in the area? >> This area? >> Huh? >> No. >> So, you have nobody? >> No. >> No aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters? >> No. >> No. >> No. >> Okay. Why did you leave them home alone? Sorry to tell you honestly. >> I mean, you don't even have car seats in the car. >> No, I I I This is the car I use, but this is my private. So, this is I use the white one to go for the grocery, but this is what we use. I can get you the car key. No, it's >> okay. Okay. So, you have nobody that could come get the kids? >> No. >> Nobody. So about an hour you left him home alone with no care, no supervision, no nothing. >> All right, I'm going to call DCF. She can >> Yeah, >> put your hand behind your back. You're under arrest. We're going to call DCF and DCF's going to have to come get your children. >> Yeah, DCF's going to take care of that because you didn't. Okay. DCF's going to make sure that they're taken care of because you chose not to this morning. >> You know that I didn't choose to say the >> Well, you you left him home alone. You got the You got the one-year-old girl laying in the middle of the road. They're just wandering up and down. It's It's a miracle they didn't get hit by a car. >> Your middle son had no pants on the street. >> We have an adult female under arrest. I'm going to go call DCF. I got all the kids info. I'm going to request an immediate response. She has no family in the area. Her husband's traveling. So, >> can you ask around for a female for a female search, please? >> The mother was arrested for child neglect, and DCF took emergency custody of all three children. Authorities proceeded with a child welfare investigation to determine long-term placement and legal outcomes. Remember, leaving young children unsupervised, even briefly, can quickly escalate into a life-threatening situation. Child neglect charges can arise from a single poor decision when a child's safety is compromised. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. This could have ended in tragedy within minutes. Running errands is never a justification for leaving toddlers alone. Those neighbors probably saved those kids' lives. Everyone thought it was too late until the body cam shows the exact second officers step in. Did you predict that rescue? The next incident is when this troubled teen was probably never told no as a child. >> No. No. No. No. No. No. No. Knock it off. They don't [ __ ] want you here, dude. Chill. >> Excuse me. You're not getting in here. Stop. They don't want you in the business. You're not coming in the business. Police respond to reports of a young man repeatedly trying to enter businesses after being told to leave, creating a disturbance. Can you open up? >> I don't work here. They don't want you here. What do you have in there? >> Bro, stop. Relax. What's in here that you need? What's in here that you need? They don't want you here. Are you going to talk to me? I can't help you unless you tell me what you need. What do you need? Are you going to tell me? You just going to stand here? Bro, they're not going to let you in. They're trespassing you. You're not allowed to come back here. >> Hey, what's going on? You're not coming in here, so don't even try that [ __ ] Nope. No, no, no, no, no, no. Knock it off. They don't [ __ ] want you here, dude. >> Despite clear warnings, Connor remains silent, unresponsive, and continues lingering near the business entrance. >> Chill. >> Excuse me. >> No, you're not getting in here. Stop. They don't want you in the business. You're not coming in the business. Back off. You're not coming in here. Go away. What? You're not allowed in here. You're trespassed. I'm telling you right now, if you walk into this door, you're going to get arrested. Do you understand that? You're going to be arrested for trespass after warning. Do you understand? They want you trespass. They don't want you here. If you walk in here, you're going to jail. You understand that? So, back off of the door and tell me what you need. >> Officers attempt to deescalate by asking Connor what he needs, but he refuses to communicate or comply. me. Back off of the door. And what do you need? >> Can you open? >> No, I'm not going to open the door. You're not communicating to me. You're not telling me what you need. They don't [ __ ] want you here. So, what's the problem? >> Just going to try to come in. So, I'm going to close it. >> Yo. Yo, let me talk to you quick. >> Close it. >> Yo, do you not hear me? I'm like talking to you over me. >> Hello. >> They want you trespassed, so you have to leave. If you don't leave, you'll get arrested. >> Let me talk to you real quick. Let me talk to you. >> What's your name? >> Business owners confirm Connor did not purchase anything and formally request he be trespassed from the plaza. Do you did you not the other officer or you just you just >> you just talk to me? I'm talking to you person. Remember >> just tell me what you want. >> I'm standing here now. You're not You're not Excuse me. Yeah, exactly. You can talk. >> Connor<unk>'s girlfriend arrives appearing distressed and suggests his behavior may be linked to mental health issues. >> So he doesn't try to come back. Who owns this place or is in >> Yeah. What? Any idea? >> Yeah. I mean, he's not old enough to like buy certain things. >> Did he give you an ID or anything? >> No, but we, you know, we weren't even there yet, you know. I didn't he didn't get to even buy anything or anything. We just And you want him trespassed, right? >> Yeah. >> 18 months. >> Sure. >> Okay. That's the longest we're allowed to do. Up to 18 months. No, you saw you just like push him to me. Try to get >> this guy for real. >> I don't see anything. >> I don't know what he's like. I think >> officers issue an 18-month trespass warning and explain that returning will result in arrest. >> He might have You didn't see he didn't drink it or take anything here, right? And it seems like he was on like a car or something cuz I'm like why are you acting so like he's just like silent and just keep pushing >> the other girlfriend. >> Oh yeah, his girlfriend was like crying. Where was she at? >> She was here. Um but then she left. Do y'all know her by any chance? >> I don't know. She went that way. She was like crying earlier or something like that. >> She wanted like us to let her in. >> Sure. >> I was like so trying to get him. >> Why is he claiming he left in here that you all know of? >> No, he didn't leave. Connor ignores the warning and continues pulling on doors, prompting officers to place him under arrest. >> Well, look, I told him that I just told him that he's trespassed. >> And I told him if he comes in here, he's going to jail. And he said he knew. So, I'm going to let them talk to him. Stay here for a minute and then I'll walk out. And then when I walk out, one of y'all will lock the door. >> And I even tried being like, "Yo, let's talk, bro. What is it?" and he just ignored like white face kept going. Not a single motion. >> All right. You are now being trespassed from the plaza for 18 months. If you don't leave right now, you will be arrested for trespassing after warning. Is that >> Connor resists verbally but not physically as officers detain him for trespassing after warning? >> Go ahead and leave. >> Do you want to leave handcuffsman or not? This is like Okay. Well, what's going to happen? Do you want do you want to put Do you want metal on your on your wrist right now? It's it's not going to be comfortable. back here under arrest for trespassing. Put your hands behind your back for trespassing. >> Watch this. Okay. >> Stop. Stop. No. >> You got any weapons on you? >> You have any weapons on you? >> The car. >> Now you want to talk to me, man. >> Where' the owner go? I need his license. Hey, uh Paul, >> if he uh if he comes back like >> police explain the situation to family members, noting concerns about Connor<unk>'s behavior while proceeding with booking. >> He's trespassed up to 18 months. Every time he comes back here and walks in this door, he goes to jail. >> Crazy. >> Charlie 4156934. Do you want to use this business number as the phone to get a hold of you or you want to use your >> Yeah, it's my personal number. >> Is it? Okay. >> All right. Well, if the chick comes back and starts causing issues or whatever, call us back. We'll go through the same process, but he's going to jail for trespass after warning cuz he's lingering around the property or refusing to leave. He's talk to us. So, sorry you guys had to go through it. >> Y'all have a good one. >> You can you can leave this unlocked now. I think you're safe. >> Thank you. >> Thanks y'all. >> Have a seat. Face me and just uh have a seat. Put your butt in the seat. There you go. >> Have a seat. >> Have a seat. Can I have a seat? >> Can you uncuff me, man? >> Sit in the car and we'll make you sit. >> What's going on with the >> You got a test kit? >> I'm a friend of his mother. >> Yeah, he's just uh ignoring us. Uh he kept pulling on door handles. We gave him a trespass and he kept trying to pull on door handles. So he was arrested. >> Well, he wasn't even talking to us. He was just pushing right through me. He was like walking through me. I'm like, "Hey, hey, Connor. What's going on?" >> He's just walking right through me. >> Conor, behave. Okay. You are going down to the county. You hear me? >> Did you have all your property with you? Do you want them? >> Do you want You need to respect the police. Period. >> Do you want yourself? Connor, look at me >> with the gentleman behind >> Connor. >> You need to respect the police, bro. >> Back up. >> You're an adult. You're of age. You're getting arrested. You hear me? >> Just knock it out. Sit back and it's going to go easier on you. You keep messing with them, you're going to make it worse for you. You understand that? You're going to go, you're going to get booked, you'll be out. You do any more stupid stuff, you're going to get charged more stuff. You understand how it works? You understand that, Connor? Listen to me, bro. >> Do you want your property to go with you or you want to go with me? >> All right, >> Conor, you're done. Take it. >> Try. >> No, Bill. Stay in the car. That's my daughter. >> What's the deal with him? >> I I have no idea. My daughter's telling me Connor. >> No, don't talk to him. >> Connor was charged with trespassing after warning following repeated refusal to leave private property. Police acknowledged potential mental health concerns while proceeding with standard booking procedures. Remember, ignoring lawful orders, and refusing to communicate can quickly escalate a minor situation into an arrest. Mental health concerns, complicate police encounters, highlighting the limits of law enforcement in behavioral crisis. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. This could have ended differently if he just talked to the officers. Clearly, more than just trespassing going on here. Sad situation where mental health meets the justice system. You think this call can't get worse? The body cam captures the exact second officer's rush and comment if you felt that spike. The next incident is when mom calls police on her 13-year-old son with multiple warrants. >> UHOH. SIGNAL. >> That was so unnecessary. >> On March 14th, 2023, police respond after a mother reports her 13-year-old son, Darius, who had been missing and recently returned home. >> Hello. >> Hello. >> Darius, >> what? >> You returned home, right? >> All right. Recall. I guess you were missing and we had to come check on you and make sure you're okay. >> Yes. >> I accident. Okay. Where you going to stay? >> All right. >> Officers confirm Darius has multiple active warrants and inform him he must be taken into custody. >> Is mom here? >> I'm the guardian. You're the guardian. >> Okay. >> All right. Well, you got to come with us. >> No. No. So 22 >> unnecessary time. >> Stop fighting. >> Stop. Take a breath. You're fine. >> Darius resists arrest, pulling away and refusing to comply as officers attempt to handcuff him. >> You're fine. I'll be in front of my computer in a few minutes and I'll start finding you in a second. Any calls that are holding for an hour or more, if we could refer them to our online reporting, that'd be great. >> Let me go, bro. Oh, sorry. I started off, bro. >> Can you just stop? Well, >> want to be with grandma. >> Where does your grandparents live? >> My grandma lives in Connecticut cuz mommy and daddy say she's just mean when she's not and they and they never let us go there. >> Okay. The child alleges her parents restrict food, lock her in her room at night, force compliance, by threatening meals, and sometimes put her in the shower fully clothed. How are your mom and dad mean to you? What do they do that's mean? >> I do too much and and and >> here's some water, baby. Drink drink a little water. Okay. They say it's too hard. They just say do it or or you don't get your meals. And then they lock me in my room at night and and they lock the door. >> Okay. >> You don't like it over there where you live? >> Yes. >> Why not? >> Mommy's always being bossy and telling me to brush my teeth again and again. And they make me do that. And the door is always locked and closed or throw me in the shower with my clothes on. >> They put you in the shower with your clothes on? >> Yes. >> I don't know. >> Officers provide water and comfort, confirm Luna did not eat breakfast, and initiate a mandatory Department of Children and Families DCF investigation. >> Why? >> I don't know why. >> When was the last time you ate? When was the last time you had dinner or breakfast? >> I didn't have breakfast. >> You didn't have breakfast then? No, >> yesterday I had dinner. So, the last time you you ate was dinner last night, and your belly is still hungry, huh? We're going to get you some food. And how many nuggets do you think you're going to eat? So, under our policy, is it okay if I >> The mother denies the allegations, claiming Luna has emotional processing issues, lies about hunger, follows a strict vegan diet due to dairy allergies, and has access to abundant food. >> Look through the house real quick. >> Okay. What are you looking for? >> No, we just got to look just to make sure everything's okay with the other kids. >> Okay. Well, that's what I'm saying. Like, do you need to look to see if they have like a bed? Do you need to specific food? >> That's it. Yeah. Okay. >> Luna said she was hungry. So, we've got an officer going to get her some uh food. >> No, we have food at home. That's that's that's a that's a symptom of her disorder. She will lie and say we have not fed her. She will say she's hungry. She will say whatever. Like she we have food. And like the thing is she has food allergies. Like she's severely allergic to dairy. Like she cannot eat any kind of goat or cow or like any kind of >> she nuggets. >> No, she cannot. She cannot. Absolutely not. >> All right. Why >> she cannot? because there are ingredients into them. Like number one, number one, we're vegan and we're vegan because she is allergic to dairy. And even if we weren't vegan, like those chicken nuggets have milk powder in the dairy. >> Okay. >> Like >> So what does she eat normally? >> She everything. Like literally, we give her nuggets. They're just like gluten-free vegan nuggets. Like we have like we literally she she ran away before she could have her breakfast this morning. We were literally in the middle of making her an oatmeal. So, what's up with Elelliana? What? Like, >> what's going on? >> I guess she told everybody that she was hungry and like they're trying to give her chicken nuggets or something, but we have >> No, we won't give her chicken nuggets if she's allergic to it. We're not going to do that. >> And like the McDonald's French fries have like literal like milk and like meat powder in them. Like, we can't. Wendy's fries are like literally the only thing, but like she doesn't need fries because like she has wholesome food at home. Luna is allergic to dairy and vegan, so she can't have any type of chicken nuggets or fries. >> Gotcha. She's good with orange juice, though. >> With orange juice. Yeah. But like we literally have like she has a smoothie at home with orange juice in it. Like we have like like the other officer saw we have like a literal fridge overflowing with food. We have like mashed potatoes already made for dinner. Like we literally have >> tensions rise as the mother insists on seeing Luna, expresses distrust of officers, and repeatedly emphasizes food availability and dietary restrictions. >> Well, we've got DCF coming out. That's our protocol with everything going on. If you want to walk back with the officer Oh, I would much rather be where I can see her. >> Okay, you can stay here right now. >> Your husband is a chef, right? >> Yeah, exactly. We have food. He's a professional chef. We have food. Where's he at? Where does he work? >> He's working right now out of town. So that's why this is going on probably. I think she's upset that her dad went out of town and she's This is the first time happening. >> I am very old. I'm older than your mom and dad. >> Hey, bro. Would you like eat it, man? On your own. >> Here you go, Luna. >> Jeez, bro. >> I don't know. They just said I can go see Luna, but I can't bring the baby over there. And like they wanted to hold the baby, but I said no. Like I'm not comfortable with anybody holding the baby. >> Archer. >> Archer. >> She just wants to see her real quick. >> Anna, are you okay? Where are your shoes? You weren't wearing shoes. >> Would you like a hug? >> No, thank you. What's been going on? Do you want to talk to Daddy? Daddy's been on the phone. We've been very worried about you. And we need to make sure you're safe. Mommy has been very, very worried about you. Can you talk to mommy and explain what's been going on? >> Baby, you've been missing. It's been more than 3 hours since you ran out. >> Luna reiterates fear of being locked in her room if she returns home and states her parents eat food without giving it to the children. >> You ran out without having breakfast or even saying good morning to mommy. You just went to the bathroom and went out the back door. >> Daddy, she can hear you and everybody else can hear you, too. >> Okay, listen. It is time to I don't know what you've told the police, but it is time to tell the truth. Okay? It is time to tell the truth because every time that you've told talked to the police before, you've said something other than the truth. And I don't know what you've said so far, but it is time to tell the truth if you haven't already. Okay. >> What can I say? I think he's trying to make sure that you're safe because that is >> Mom, can we talk to you for a second over here? >> Right over here. We're going to just talk to you. >> I don't know what's going on. They're saying you can't talk to her. >> You're not in any trouble, honey. >> You're not in any trouble. >> I know what will happen if you leave the house. >> What? What happened? >> Mom's just going to lock me in. >> She going to lock >> Officers place the mother under arrest after determining probable cause related to child neglect and safety concerns. >> In your room? >> Yes. And >> why will she lock in your room? cuz cuz she doesn't want me to tell people that I'm hungry. >> Okay, >> listen. You're going to be placed on arrest. Okay. >> What? >> No. No. My baby. >> Okay. >> My baby. >> My baby. >> Hold on a second, ma'am. Okay. The >> My baby. >> The kids are okay. >> My baby. >> Don't scream. Don't scream. That's going to make it worse for them. Okay. >> Don't scream. Don't scream. >> You don't want to UPSET THEM. >> MY BABY. HAVE A seat in the car. >> PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THEIR DAD GETS HERE. PLEASE. >> They're okay, man. >> They're okay. >> DAD GETS HERE. >> SLIDE YOUR LEG. >> The father arrives, explains prior DCF involvement. The child's past foster care placement and emotional trauma. While officers confirm the mother is charged with child neglect. >> Legs in, please. >> My baby. >> Slide your legs in. >> No, she needs her. They're okay. >> They're okay. They're okay. >> They're okay, ma'am. No, she's not okay. My baby, >> THEY'RE WITH US. THEY'RE OKAY. >> In the house, she's bossy and and doesn't act like a great mother. >> And I think she just thinks I'm allergic because at grandma's house, grandma feeds us good. And once in a while, she gives us some non-vegan stuff. But I never but none of us ever get sick. She just thinks that because once when I was a baby, I got sick. But I was a baby then. >> My baby. >> All right, we'll bring him up to the station. Thank you. >> Well, all we want is for you to be happy and your brothers and sisters to be happy and for you guys to be taken care of and have food and everything you need. >> Take a deep breath. I know you're stressed out. Obviously, this is a stressful situation. >> Baby, >> but what is it exactly that the baby needs from the house? >> Everything. She's frightened. uh everything that doesn't answer my question. So, we're either going to go to the station or if there's a specific item, you just mentioned formula. >> Yeah, she doesn't have formula or diapers or anything like >> Okay. And you have all that INSIDE THE HOUSE? >> YES. >> And you're willing to allow us to go inside the house and get those things. >> Please. >> Ma'am, that's a yes or no question. >> Alvisers, listen to what I'm saying. She doesn't understand. >> Ma'am, you're willing to allow us to go inside the house and get those items? Well, if we go home quickly, there's food in the fridge and I could bring >> What kind of food is in the fridge? >> I don't know, but I know there's stuff in the fridge. Mommy and daddy get food, but they don't give it to us. They eat it themselves. >> H >> Hello, sir. I'm Lieutenant Wigs. How can I help you? Um, I'm here to pick up my kids. >> Okay. Um, your kids are upstairs. They're safe. Everybody's good. >> We will be the officer that's handling the case and will be down shortly to talk to you. >> Okay. >> And let you know what's going on. Okay. >> All right. So, but it may be a little bit cuz they're in an interview right now. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, I just ask if you could have a little patience with us. >> All right. >> Okay. Once they're done talking with who they need to talk to, they'll come down and talk to you as well. >> Okay. >> All righty. I left early this morning, like at 4 4:30 this morning, and then around 8 something, Nikki called me and told me that Luna ran away. >> Oh, yeah. >> Which she's done before. Our social worker actually was about to close her. She told me that she was about to close her case on Monday and she had a GPS tracker for us for Kuna because she has a habit of running away. And so, you know, we were betting on that and then this happened. I don't know, you know, what >> Yeah. >> what else happened while I wasn't there, but I know that, you know, my daughter has a habit of saying that, you know, she's she's hungry and that she doesn't eat anything. But, you know, you not you guys in particular, but what West Palm Beach Police DCF has all been to our house. You know, they've seen our fridge. They've gone through our house and see that we have everything our children need. Um, but our children had been in DCF care before when they were 2 years, you know, when Elelliana, the one that runs away. Um, she was taken away from us at 2 and 1/2 years old and she was in foster care for 2 years. And so, she's got a lot of emotional things going on that she doesn't know how to deal with, and we're still learning how to deal with, too. >> All right. Sorry for the delay. You're just going to have to hang tight for a few. Thanks. The mother was arrested and charged with child neglect while DCF continued its investigation into the family's living conditions, dietary practices, and the children's overall safety. Remember, repeated runaway behavior combined with consistent allegations can escalate quickly into legal and child welfare intervention. Emotional disorders complicate cases, but child safety concerns override parental explanations during investigations. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. When a child runs away this young, something deeper is usually wrong. The contrast between what the parents say and what the child says is heartbreaking. This shows how complicated child welfare cases really are. Nothing is black and white. You think the officers were out of options here?
