Hey, hey, hey. What the is happening, dude? Just wait. Just wait. Don't go anywhere. Dude, you're bleeding. You're bleeding. If he goes, I'm Hey, Siri, call 911. You can't just go. You're >> or I will lose my life. >> It starts with a shocking crash spotted by a group of bikers. A chase kicks off and the driver is caught on video. But finding him isn't as easy as it seems. >> Police department. Hey, >> are you okay? >> On the evening of May 31st, 2025, a group of bikers are cruising through Lacrosse, Wisconsin, when they spot a 39year-old involved in a shocking car crash right in front of them. What comes next after the accident is where things really take off. >> Whoa. Car just crashed. Hey, hey, hey. What the is happening, dude? Just wait. Just wait. Don't go anywhere, dude. You're bleeding. You're bleeding. ASF5322. If he goes, I'm ASF5322. I got him. Hey Siri, call 911. Hello. [Music] Hey. Um, I just watched a car crash on the main road and now he's running. He didn't crash into something. Okay, now he's finally pulling over. Um, I I don't care, dude, if you're okay. You're bleeding. I'm right in front of the winery DNA uh wineries. >> I am okay. >> Yeah, but you just like smashed your car. You got to You are gushing blood from your forehead. >> My forehead. >> Yeah, you you can't just go. You're >> I have to or I will lose my life forever. >> I I don't care. You got to stop, dude. >> I will be okay. >> I know, but you're bleeding from your head and your car is total. >> Go that way. I will be okay. >> I I I don't care. Um, BBop and Bundles is the business right in front of me. >> I I Dude, I can't just let that go. You >> got to let it go. >> I can't. Um, the business in front of me is BBOP and bundles. I do not Oh, he's running again. It's a red. While the motorcyclist continues tailing the driver, a lacrosse officer patrolling the area notices a group of people flagging him down at the crash site around 6:53 p.m. >> car that just lost control and hit that tree and they just took off. >> ASF5322. Yep. >> Hit the this tree. >> I don't know if he was. >> Is it a red GMC? >> Red. I think it was a Chevy. >> So he hit the tree right here. >> Which way was he going originally? >> Going that way and then we saw him like in the tree smoking. So we pulled off and then he whipped around and went back. >> So one of us went after him and I think they're on he's on 911 right now. >> Oh, okay. >> Just to like try to get them updates. >> Okay, I'll get out of the way here. Thank you. If you get a 911 call, essentially a red vehicle struck a tree on the north side. Was last seen southbound on uh Copeland. I guess the driver might be bleeding from the head. Copy. Is he on the line? Whenever you get more, let me know. I guess he might be 55 or impaired, but they weren't sure. >> The officer won't have to wait for long. The motorcyclist is still on the driver's ass and has plenty more to report. I'm on a motorcycle. So, we're fasting Emanuel Lutheran Schools. Turning onto Liberty Street. It's a red Chevy car. He's still running. He didn't hit anyone, but his car is [ __ ] and he's bleeding. License plate. A is an atom. S is in Sam, F is in Frank. 5322. Oh, absolutely. Yep. We're turning um we turned off of Windsor. I don't know what road this is. I'll get you I'll get you a road in one second here. I have my hazards on. I'm on a motorcycle. We're on Charles Street. This might be a dead end here. I'm not sure. Um I I do not know. Turning on to St. James Street. Now he's pulling over again. Yep. We're on St. James. He stopped in front of a yellow house. No, no, no. He's in his car. Yeah, he never left his car. He was in the car the whole time. Crawling out his passenger window. This might be his house. Yes. The very end of St. James. I can give you a crossroad. He's he's getting out. He's out of the car. I'm going down to the road here to get a a an intersection for you. So, Liberty and St. James. Yeah, Liberty and St. James. I'm at the intersection. Yeah. Liberty and St. James. And I'm chilling here. I'm watching him from a distance. >> So, that red car smoked a tree right in front of uh Quick Trip. >> Yep. Yep. >> And he's bleeding all from his face. He said he's fine. He's fine. He's fine. But >> where is he? He just got out of his car and he walked toward the yellow house. >> It's all on GoPro right here. >> Okay, one second here. >> Y >> worry about the vehicle. It's unoccupied. I guess he went walking. >> While backup heads over, the first officer chats with the motorcyclist to piece together exactly what went down. >> Know what he was wearing? >> What was it? >> What was he wearing? Like for >> No, but I can pull it. >> Yeah, if you don't mind, we can take a look. Yeah, cuz everyone was flagging me down up there and then they said you called in. >> He smoked the tree. >> I saw the tree. >> I don't know how he didn't. And you can see the car. >> He must have skidded and then slid towards the side. >> So he said he was going to his house. >> Oh, >> he he said, "Don't don't call it in. I'll lose my license or something like that or I'll lose my kids." >> Okay. >> Which I don't really care. I'm on a motorcycle. Something like that. He's going to kill one of me. >> Right. Right. Exactly. He told this subject that called in he was going to his house. If there's any RMS or other addresses nearby, but I'll get a clothing description soon. He he walked that way on Charles this way or maybe even into this house. >> Oh, okay. You can't probably can't really see it right here. So, gray t-shirt. >> Mhm. Do you have a ponytail? >> Uh, no. I do not believe so. Short haircut and then he'll I'll see him again here in a second cuz he pulls off here. >> You're bleeding. >> I'm right in front of the I'm on the phone with 911. >> I will lose my life. I I stop, dude. >> Bop and bundles is the business right now. >> Hard to say over and over again. Bop and bundles, >> dude. I can't just let that go. >> He's kicking glass out of his >> for the business. He's running again. >> It's a red >> 30 30-ish year old male. He's wearing like a darker shirt. Uh he should have blood all over. His whole face and arms are covered in blood. He might have went into this yellow house here in the corner of Charles and St. James. >> So this is where it initially happened. You can way up there. It's not very good quality cuz it's just this, but it's turned around smoke. >> Car just crashed. >> What are the odds? From the video evidence, the officer figures the man lives in the yellow house, but that assumption quickly proves wrong. >> Everyone showed up. >> Yeah, >> I I just >> I think I'm 90% sure he's in there. >> He's got to be He's got to be somewhere. >> He wouldn't have made it very far. >> No way. I thought you were going some other place. They're just around. >> Good. How you been? >> Pretty good. Pretty good. >> But you can get out of here for sure. I appreciate that. >> Are you okay if I chill around for a while? >> If you want. Sure. >> Okay. I initially was going to school to become a police officer. >> Oh, okay. Yeah. >> Yeah. We'll do some digging. But yeah, I appreciate it. >> Police department. Police Department last. >> Is he walking on the tracks? Maybe. >> I mean, he's breathing. He looks uh just average white male. Short short short haircut. >> See where he went on my >> Okay. Yeah, if you want to check. >> Dude, that got drilled. Holy cow. >> Holy [ __ ] >> Like he's going north and then he like skids and then hits a tree. >> I've already got pictures of this. >> Doing it right now. Yeah. Okay. >> We'll go check north then. And he climbed out the window. >> Climbed out the passenger side. >> Well, it's closed now. >> Is it? Or maybe open the door. >> Unless he climbed out this side. >> He doesn't want to be right next to him. He could have just climbed out the window here just to open. >> But I mean, he was he was getting onto the other side when I started to go on with that other side. >> Okay. >> I don't know if you're able to see anything or not. >> Yeah, we're on St. James. No, no, no. He's in his car. >> She thought he was car. He was in the car the whole time. >> I don't think I looked back enough to really see it. >> St. James. >> He obviously didn't come back for >> No, he didn't come back towards me. No. >> Yeah. I'll do some digging and make sure it's the guy. And >> definitely took a digger in that tree, though. To track down the driver, the officer runs the car's plate and gets the owner's info, only to find out that he wasn't the one driving. >> No. >> Hey, is this >> Yeah. >> Hey, it's Officer Eddie with the Lacrosse Police Department. >> Yeah. >> Hey, do you still own a red Cobalt? >> Well, I No, I sold that. >> Okay. Do you Was that recent or when was that at? >> Yeah, about a month ago. >> The plates are still in your name, it looks like. They're expired though, obviously. So, I was just curious, do you do you know who that was? >> Yeah. >> Well, so what happened is he hit a tree and then he took off from the scene and there was a motorcycle guy that was chasing him down and tell him to stop. He's bleeding and it's a whole ordeal right now. I I'm I'm just trying to track him down and make sure he's not dying somewhere. So, Oh, we have the video though. This guy, the motorcycle guy's got it all on GoPro so we can see it's not you obviously. So >> yeah, it's a car. >> It's probably total. The whole door, the whole driver side is just caved in. There's a lot of damage to that undercarriage that got pushed in by a tree. He hit it going probably 35. So I mean at worst we have it's a hit and run property damage. It just be a ticket like at this stage. I'm assuming he's drunk. There's a bunch of open containers all over and it's all wet. So, I'm assuming he's essentially potentially going to get out of an OWI, but we just wanted to document it and make sure obviously you're not still the owner. So, >> dispatch update. >> Yep, I got him here. >> Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the officer talks to the driver and what he hears completely throws him off. >> I got for you. >> Thank you. >> Connected. Officer, how do you go? >> Hey, can you hear me? >> I can hear you fine. Yes. >> Are you okay? I am. I think I have. >> Okay. >> I'm wing up at home. That's good. >> Are you Do you live in town here? Are you in >> I I live in >> Oh, you made You're in now vacation. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. How'd you get over there? >> Oh, my girlfriend drove me home. >> Oh, okay. What? What happened? >> So, I mean, I just I bought the car from a few days ago. I pulled out a quick trip into the left lane and somebody whipped over when I pulled out and it's always tight pulling out of that quick trip and then it started whipping left and right and then that's about all I remember. >> Okay. Do you remember what you hit? >> I don't I don't know. >> Okay. It was a tree, so you didn't hit any cars or anything. It I don't As far as I know, there's no cars or Yeah, >> that's very good. So, the car um I did take the keys out of it. I did not I didn't want to leave the car parked here with the keys in it, obviously. So, >> okay. >> All I have essentially I have a I have a citation for you. I'll probably just send it in the mail. Is there active insurance on this car right now? >> Like like I said, I just bought it. Okay. >> So, I have like I think I have 10 days through my insurance company to >> Yeah. to transfer it. >> I think you have 72 or 2 weeks. I don't know what it is, but you have time. So, I just really bought it. So, I have active insurance. if I can send you my policy. >> Okay. What uh when did you buy the car? What day? >> Well, it's been it's been an ongoing labor situation until like a day or two ago. >> Okay. >> Well, I don't even know what day that hurts. >> Yeah, I I understand. Are you sure? Uh is she able to take you to the hospital to get checked out? >> No, I'm I'm okay. >> Is she staying with you there at the hospital? >> She will. Yeah. With me at school. Make sure I don't die. >> Yeah. Yeah, you make sure she stays with you in case something changes, then she can get you to a hospital for sure. >> Crazy. >> So, yeah, I'll just send that stuff in the mail. It's just hit and run property damage, so it's all through municipal court. I' I've been working a long time. I'm assuming that you were allegedly intoxicated and didn't want to talk to us here. So, it is what it is. I like I said, I can't I can't prove any of that. All I have is that you got in an accident, didn't report it, and left. So, there's a citation for that. And it's all in municipal court. It's not through circuit court, if that makes sense. We'll go from there. I appreciate you calling in. I'm glad you're, you know, you're okay. Obviously, you're probably going to have some pain. It looks kind of gnarly. So, a little >> That is true. I've heard that before. Um, but I'll let you go. I'll text you the case number. If you need anything, let me know. >> The officer realizes the driver hasn't been completely honest since the owner explained he sold the car a month earlier, not 2 days ago, as the driver claimed. And this isn't the end of it. A few days after picking up the car, he calls the police on June 2nd, 2025 to file a complaint. >> Was a motorcycle now that I I I hit a tree, had a concussion, was in contact with you. We figured it all out. The motorcyclist gave you a video and now he's posting it on Facebook saying I was hired drunk and 80,000 people have seen it. So now I'm getting harassed by 80,000 people. >> Okay. What do you mean harassed by 80,000 people? >> Well, just friends and family are getting blown up. Like, this is Dylan, what happened? Blah blah blah. My girlfriend is an actress, which is a lot of social media stuff. So, now she's getting all kinds of messages and it could affect her job. >> Gotcha. I guess how can I help her? What What were you looking for from me? >> I mean, just a report saying I'm getting harassed, I guess. And if any way possible, I' i'd just like to end this. And I mean, I know the guy's name is Jacob. Seeing the video, obviously, if I'm sure he has you guys have his information from getting the video from him. I was going to see if you guys could contact him and just ask him to take the video down and make a small post stating that he had the facts wrong, that it was just a concussion. >> Well, unfortunately, I I can't do that. Um the the social media stuff is all public posts and stuff like I can't tell somebody they should take it down. Or if you have issues with a video that was posted, um you can always go through Facebook. Um >> I have >> Yeah, reported through Facebook or you could take him to like civil court um for posting the video, but there's nothing on my end for him posting a video on Facebook that he recorded. I get we get that comment a lot with like the code blue cans and all that stuff. Unfortunately, it just there's not a ton we can do. >> Understandable. Did I leave some sort of report with you? At least I >> I can note it that you're saying you're being harassed, but like what you're talking about is people asking you about it or making comments about it. There's not any like official report that comes out of that. I I'll I'll document it on my end um in our what we call a CAD system. >> That's fine. Some sort of note cuz that way the attorneys in court can see that I tried. >> Sure. Sure. The 39-year-old man was mailed citations totaling over $1,700 for hit and run property damage, failure to keep vehicle under control, operating without insurance, operating with expired registration, and failure to stop at a stop sign. Finding this driver hasn't been easy. On that note, we found that 68% of the people watching this video still haven't subscribed.
