Some people don't handle breakups too well. But what happens when one person tries to ruin the other person's life? I've never done anything like that. I don't know. And I just feel like something something just changed in me. Here are five times when exes went too far. Starting with a mental institute worker who knew she was crazy. Coming back out. But you do remember seeing something. It was like it was like in my head though and it wasn't real. On February 18th, 2023, officers responded to a call concerning a woman who had stabbed her boyfriend 19 times in his sleep, right? Is it just the three of you? Okay. Help me, please. Please help me. Yep. Ambulance is downstairs. 403 can come up. [ __ ] Everything's calm with Where are you hurt? I can't. I'm getting lightheaded, bro. I need help. Will you come up? Where's my brother? He's downstairs. Can you tell me to call my dad, please? Have you got shoes or something? You can They're downstairs. Okay. Please. They're coming. Can we go? We got to go. We got to go. I can't see. Yep. Medics are coming upstairs. After being called by Morgan's brother, who was staying with the pair at the time of the incident, the officers arrived at the very bloodied scene to meet Hogan, applying pressure to stab wounds on her boyfriend. When asked why she stabbed him while he was sleeping, Morgan replied by saying she thought she saw something. Huh? And I mean, I've seen the same thing before, but I've never done anything like that. You have seen the same thing before. Okay. Can you describe for me what you saw? It was like I don't know. It was like something black. If you had to physically describe what you were seeing like big or small, black or white, gray, blue, whatever. Like a like a like a blob. Like a blob. Like a black blob. a blob, but like a figure. Okay. It's just sort of the the shape. And I could hear I hear I could hear him. Yeah. Who? And then I came out and I saw something like over him. So I don't know like what was like real and what's not real. Hello. The suspect explained that she thought she woke up to her boyfriend yelling at their daughter and saw a dark, scary figure attacking her boyfriend. She then picked up a pair of scissors and tried to kill the figure until she realized she was only injuring her boyfriend. She blamed this on her mental health and insisted that her time working at a mental institution was taking a toll on her. This was in line with her brother's report to the cops, but he also gave them a very important detail that Morgan conveniently left out. So, you guys all kind of came home around the same time? Yeah, but I never saw them. Okay. They in their bedroom or Yeah. Well, I'm pretty sure you're sleeping on the couch, but sure. Do you know why he's sleeping on the couch or just cuz they're arguing? I'm guessing. Okay. So, they're arguing a lot then or uh I don't know. I think they're just breaking up or something. But they only argue like I don't know when something goes wrong I guess. I don't know. Okay. Have you ever seen their relationship get physical? No. Okay. Do anything to her physically? Anything? No. So when they're arguing, they're just verbally arguing. Yeah. Have you seen or heard them talk about breaking up or what that status is or? Yeah, I mean they're uh definitely breaking up like I think they're uh lease is up in I want to say June 1st maybe and then trying to get their own apartment I think. Okay. So they've basically broken up but they're together at that house because co-arenting right now or something. Okay. After the stabbing, the victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his stab wounds. He reported that they argued daily and it got to the point that when they did argue, he shut it down because he no longer wanted anything to do with her. He also alleged that she physically abused him and struck him on several occasions. You're not yourself. You're not You're not yourself. You didn't do this on purpose. I did it on purpose. Was he sleeping? I don't know. I was like I was like half asleep. Morgan was ultimately arrested and charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide. She pleaded no contest to aggravated battery and secondderee endangering safety. In November, Morgan was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months behind bars plus 5 years of extended supervision. The victim survived and promptly ended the relationship with Morgan. But the next victim wasn't as lucky. Well, I I think he's full of He says she had the gun and she shot herself. On July 16th, 2022, a 911 call coming from a Wing Stop restaurant in Georgia alerted officers to a potential kidnapping in progress. I need a police at Wing Stop in Fedville. Don't get in the car, please. He's not in the car. Stop in. Yes, please. It's an emergency. Don't get in the car. What's going on there? He making her get in the car like he he making He making her get in his car. The woman on the phone informed the police that an armed man named Cameron Hopkins had dragged his girlfriend, 19-year-old Khalia Jones, out of the restaurant where she worked and into his car before driving off. Officers were dispatched and they immediately located the suspect's red Chevrolet Camaro almost hitting speeds of 100 kmh. All right, we're coming up on McCari Park. Beats 80 speed climb to 95. Only one year before this chase, Cameron was arrested and jailed after dragging a female out of the vehicle at gunpoint and then forcing her into his vehicle before fleeing the scene. Interestingly enough, the victim in both cases was Kalia Jones. 90 days pass without an indictment and Cameron got out on a bond only to do the exact same thing he was arrested for. But as the officers got close to his vehicle, they soon realized that his arrest would be very different from the last one. 215 looks like they turned into the high school here, middle school. radio. Shots fired. Shots fired. Hey, I'm behind you. I'm behind you. Where is he? I don't know. Right here. They're still in the vehicle with shots being fired. After his car was turned by a pit maneuver, Cameron began firing shots both inside the car and out at officers as they closed in on his car. With the knowledge that Cameron was armed, the officers approached the vehicle while silently pleading that nothing had happened to Kalia Jones. Come out of the car, man. Look, come out of the car and we can help you and we can help her. Keep your hands where I can see you. Step out. Step out. Keep your hands up and then step out. Come out. Look, man. Step out of the car so we can attend to her. Come out. Get out of the car so we can help her. Step out. There you go. Step out. Step out. On the ground. On the ground. On the ground. On the ground. No. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground, man. On the ground. On the ground right now. Call to us now. One voice. One voice. Call to us. Warning. You got hands and commands. Come to us. Do it now. I got you. You ready? Can more. More. More. Damn it. More. The cops had earlier used a type of chemical irritant on Cameron, which explained why he was rubbing profusely against his eyes during his arrest. He was finally cuffed and taken to the back of the squad car. And while the officers tried to dissolve the irritant, they made an unfortunate discovery. Stick your head out. Stick your head out. We're going to dump this on you so you can get some of that OC out of your eye. Turn this. Turn your head the other way. You want some more? You want more? Where is she? Yes or no? Do you want more water? Can I use more? I'll write one anyway. Where is she? She's in the car where you left her. car. Well, I I think he's full of He said she had the gun and she shot herself. No, it was him. I could clean his day. He was coming around with I'm just saying that's what he Well, I know. Well, that's when you jumped out and I jumped out. I heard the shot. So, I said, "Let me come around this way." And then I couldn't see inside the car. Knew she was in there. So, I was like, "I'm not going to fire and hit her." But I saw two people and I I thought I actually had a black hood cuz I it it passed me southbound on 314 after I just left up there at Kindle. I was like, that can't be it going southbound on 314 from the wing stop. I'm fairly certain he shot her. I mean, she got a shot to her head. She's 109D. Best I can. Inside the car, police found Jones with several gunshot wounds, and she was confirmed to have died of those injuries. Cameron was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, malice murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime. His next court date is in December of 2024, but he would most likely be looking at life imprisonment. But Joseph's shocking actions earned him something much worse than life imprisonment. Are you watching him? Yes. He's right there. Hey, hey, hey. On March 4th, 2023, officers arrived at a Baltimore residence with an arrest warrant for a man named Joseph Cheryl after neighbors suggested that he was at the home of his ex-wife. What's going on? Why is that in front of the door? Cuz my ex-husband, I had an ex part against him. Who's that? Joseph Shirl. Is he here? No. I always keep that in front of the door. Y'all were here the other night. Were we? Was he here the other night? No, he was not. Okay. Well, somebody called and said he's here. Well, he's not here. Can we come in and look for what? I don't to see if he's here. No, because I don't You know why? You want to know why? Because I let y'all in here the other day and you told me to let him get his chair. Okay. This was at 1:30. 12 1:30 in the morning. So, why don't we come in and see if he's here? I wasn't here the other day, so I don't Well, I'm telling you, he was not. He's not here. The homeowner insisted that she was home alone with her dog and Joseph was not in the house that night. This ordinarily was very believable as most divorced couples couldn't stand the side of each other, let alone housing one with an active arrest warrant. But the cops had a tip and it was reasonable to believe it, causing them to push even further. So, if I find out he's here, okay, and you're lying to me. Okay. Okay. I'm going to arrest you. Okay, that's fine. He's not here. Okay. So, just so as long as you're okay with being arrested, okay with that? You're okay with that? He's not here. All right. So, you guys both can go to jail then? All right. I'm I'm not going to argue with you. He is not here. So, then let us come in and take a look and we could have been gone. I don't understand. You Watch out, dog. Hi, puppy. Come here, dog. Lunar, come here. Come on, Luna. What's your name? Luna. Lunar. Lunar. The cops were now in the residence and they split up to search for Joseph. Joseph had violated his probation terms after being convicted of fourthderee burglary, the lowest degree of burglary. Although it is a serious offense with a maximum of 3 years of incarceration, the officers expected the search to be a quick one with Joseph coming out of the house with little to no resistance if eventually he was there. But the search turned into a bizarre twist of events. Shut up. Shut up. Let me see your hands. Come on. Put them. Drop the knife. Drop the knife. Drop the knife. You going to have to shoot me. Drop the knife. Why are you shooting? Out of the way. Out of the way, ma'am. You're going to have to shoot. Drop the knife. Sir, 62, give us some more units. Come back over here. No, I'm not having you come with the knife. Stop. Stop touching me. I got the knife. Drop the knife. Hey, drop the knife. The officer found Joseph hiding inside a closet with a knife. His ex-wife surprisingly tried to shield him from the cops, but she was dragged out of the way into the entrance. The officers called for backup and positioned themselves in wait for Joseph, who insisted that he wasn't going to drop the knife till they shot him. And with three guns pointed at him, Joseph took a sip from a can, seemingly aware that it would be his last. He's right there. Hey, hey, hey, drop the knife. Drop the knife. Drop the Drop the knife. Drop the knife. I got the knife. Drop the knife. Where is it? Drop the knife. Get out the EMS. Start. The knife is clear. Get some gloves on. Get this out of the way. All right, roll them over. Get some gloves on. Are you Get back. Get back. Go out to my car and get it. Stay up there right there. A total of seven shots were fired and Joseph landed on the ground with shots to his abdomen and face. The officers tried stabilizing him, but not much could be done as his injuries were highly fatal. He died at the scene and an investigation was immediately opened on the possible use of excessive force. But the Maryland Attorney General's office concluded that any less lethal response by the officer would have been insufficient in countering the deadly force presented by Joseph. Joseph might have foreseen his fate before him, but the actions of the next crazy ex shook the entire neighborhood. I was I was in here working. Mhm. And I heard this bang boom boom. What the hell was that? Mhm. On July 8th, 2022, officers received reports that an SUV had crashed into a tree at an open car park and the driver had run away from the vehicle. Confused by this, they quickly located the driver and realized that there was more to the case than was reported. Come here. Right in front of the vehicle. You driving? Yes. All right. Give me your keys. My husband. It's my husband's fault. Okay. How is it your husband's fault? Uh yeah, he works right here. Ask him. Okay. Where's your car at? Right there. Saw him over there. Stuck underneath the tree. You stay with her. What happened? My husband My husband hurts right there. He He did this to me. He did this to me. How did he do that though? He wasn't in the car with you. He was not in the car with me. He was right in front of me. Trying to like aim at him or something and hit the tree or I'm just trying to figure out how in a desolate parking lot you hit a palm tree is what I'm trying to figure out. The woman confirmed that she was driving the car and had indeed run out after the crash. She also seemed highly impaired and in no condition to drive, but she blamed the crash on her husband who worked nearby. So, as they were getting nothing from her, the cops proceeded to speak to her husband and that uncovered the true nature of the crash. We're married. But where were you where were you at? We we were right here. So, first I'm coming in this way and I see her and she like turns at me and like, you know, dead stops me and then I got to go around her and then she follows me back right here and we're sitting right here arguing and she's like telling me, I don't know, I need to get the lawyer, this and that, some stupid [ __ ] And I'm like, just get your lawyer. That's it. We don't need to talk. You don't need to see me. Blah blah blah. And I try to take off and she [ __ ] floors it at me and I get right here and I just kind of act like I was going to turn this way and then I turn hard this way and she was going way too fast and just bam. I can't do this anymore. It's been months of me like hiding my car inside the shop. They said the witness came up the rescue and told him that she came to try to hit her boyfriend and he moved and that's how she hit the tree. Okay. Find everything. All right. interact with me. Interlock your fingers just like your braid. The suspect's husband informed the officers that they were going through a divorce when she sped after his vehicle and hit the tree as he took a sharp turn to evade the crash. He informed the cops that she had tried to attack him severely before and this one just went too far. But amidst all that was happening, the suspect managed to double down on the hate for her husband. I'm sorry. He's got chocolate. Okay. All right. You know what you got on you. You know what you got on you, too. I'm a [ __ ] rat. I'm going to be a [ __ ] rat. Guys are [ __ ] And that [ __ ] right there is [ __ ] high as [ __ ] Okay. Can you walk me through how that vehicle ended up on top of the tree? Yeah, I'll walk you through it. Okay. So, I was following him because he [ __ ] like sped like a [ __ ] maniac and all I wanted to do is sign [ __ ] divorce papers and I don't know how I ended up like that. You had the you had the divorce papers with you? No, I just wanted to [ __ ] get with my divorce attorney. Well, you don't know how you you wound up in that position? No, I do know how I wound up in that position. I was following him. You were following him and he was going too fast. Yes. Okay. And I didn't know how to drive, obviously. So, was were you behind him or were you in front of him? I was [ __ ] behind him. So, at any point in time, did you try to hit his vehicle with your vehicle? No. No. I would never do that. Okay. I just wanted him to [ __ ] I wanted to [ __ ] wanted him to hear me. He's [ __ ] terrified right now. He's got weave in his [ __ ] pocket or in his car. Guarant [ __ ] teeth. Okay. So, does his boss, do you have any medication that says that you're not supposed to operate a motor vehicle? Nope. Are you taking it? No. So, all the medication, you're you're good to drive at that point. That's me. Okay. So, here's the next question. And then there's not [ __ ] check with him. Okay. Well, I got to do it one person at a time. Okay. I can't talk to two people at the same time. And I'm not going to bring him over here cuz you guys are just going to argue. Okay. So, here's the other question I got for you is why did you leave your car there and not I couldn't get it out. Why'd you take the tag off? Because I for You have any medication that says that you're not supposed to operate a motor vehicle? Nope. When you're taking it. So, all the medication, you're you're good to drive at that point. Yes, sir. Okay. So, here's the next question. And then they seem like [ __ ] checking in. Okay. Well, I got to do it one person at a time. Okay. I can't talk to two people at the same time. And I'm not going to bring them over here cuz you guys are just going to argue. Okay. So, here's the other question I got for you is why did you leave your car there and not I couldn't get it out. Why'd you take the tag off? Cuz I for I'm just trying to figure out like I mean you locked the car. You took the tag off and you walked away. I get it. I get it. After the crash, the woman took out her car's license plate before running off in an attempt to sever any connection between her and the vehicle. This wasn't an excellent idea, as she was being recorded, and her husband was aware that the car was hers. But this obvious failure in judgment could be linked to her impairment as she later submitted to a breathalyzer with a score of 23 BAC, which meant that she was four times above the legal alcohol limit. All right, Sander, go ahead and step out for me. You're going to come over on my vehicle. Okay, I don't know. Get your shoes over here. Pull away from me. Okay, let's get the car. [ __ ] Oh god. Oh god. Oh god. I'll be at my tomorrow, [ __ ] [ __ ] you. Stop yelling. How can you just let him go? He's got drugs on him. Illegal drugs on mine are [ __ ] legal. Why would you do that? Why? Cuz he didn't do anything wrong. He didn't do anything wrong. He didn't do anything wrong. Wow. Yeah. He just made me run into a tree. Okay. The suspect was later charged with aggravated assault and DUI with damage to property or person. She was also issued a bond that restricted her from trying to contact her ex-husband. She remained indifferent to her crimes, but Shana Gardner was shockingly unreorseful. My vehicle can't keep up. I say it's harder for you guys to wear and all the stuff you guys have to do. On August 17th, 2023, officers arrived at the home of Shana Gardner with warrants for her arrest in connection to the death of her ex-husband, who was fatally shot in the middle of the street in front of his 2-year-old daughter. I'll be with you tomorrow. My neighbor has to hurry. I'm I'm here, Shana. I'm outside. Oh, they're in a different Oh, yeah. Have grandma help you get into Where are your jeans, Mom? Uh, I know. Jared and Shana got married in 2010 and divorced in 2015. They shared custody of a set of twins. And on February 16th, 2022, Jared dropped off the twin 9-year-old children at the home gardener shared with her second husband, Mario Fernandez Sana. As Jared was driving back home with his 2-year-old daughter from his second marriage, he stopped to remove a tire from the middle of the road. And when he got out of his vehicle, he was shot multiple times. Investigations uncovered that the shooter, Henry Tenant, was a tenant of Fernandez Salana, Shana's current husband. And this suggested that the couple wanted Jared dead and solicited someone else to kill him. It's got to be the white vehicle back there. We'll go to the Love you, honey. passenger side. Y Before his death, Jared was a Microsoft executive and a father of four with the youngest children coming from his second wife. When he did not come home on the day he was killed, she went driving looking for him and kept calling his phone until a police officer answered. He informed her the 2-year-old daughter was okay, but waited till she got to the police station before telling her that her husband was shot dead. So, you have the right to counsel at this time if you're unable to pay for counsel. You'll be entitled to have one provided without charge. Do you understand that? Okay. Um, and that's it. So, I'll uh I'm going to put your seatelt on. I'll get you down there. It's hot. So hot. My vehicle can't keep up. I say it's harder for you guys. We're wearing all the stuff you guys have to do. Um, and I'll get you down there so you're out of cops. I know those are uncomfortable. So, just sit tight for me. All right. Henry Tenon pleaded guilty to seconddegree murder this year and agreed to testify against any accomplice. Both Shana Gardner and Fernandez Salana were indicted on charges of firstdegree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony, and child abuse. The Salonis have pleaded not guilty, but prosecutors intend to seek the death penalty.
