Dangerous criminals are usually hard to track down, but what happens when cops find them by accident? They're lukewarm, but they're not hot. Violence, armed and dangerous. I popped the trunk. Serge the trunk. Here are five cases where cops found more than they expected. Starting with Antoine, who dialed 911 to complain about getting cold French fries after he and his fiance were kicked out of the store. So, why did y'all call? Like, what happened? Because we ordered the food. um he couldn't print us a receipt. Okay. Um so he said the receipt would be printed in the back. So I said, "Okay." So we sat down, me and my fiance looking for homes around here. We uh went back to Progressive Reynolds looking at homes. Um I guess our order was called, but we don't even know our order number. Okay? You know what I'm saying? So now our food is sitting there cold. So when I come up, I say, you know, I try to fry. The fries are they're lukewarm, but they're not hot. Okay? You know what I'm saying? So I just asked him, "Can we get some fresh fresh fries?" He said, "Okay, the fries are not hot. Touch the fries." I said, "No, they're not hot." At this point, you don't touch him, so you know. Yeah. Can I just get his first set? Okay. So, he getting the prize and I said, "Can I also get the receipt?" That was 5 minutes ago. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Excuse me, sir. 5 minutes ago. I can I can run my store however I want to run my store. While most would suggest it wasn't a solid reason to call 911, that didn't stop Anwine from confidently telling his story to the cop. But immediately, he was asked for an ID, and Antoine saw his life flash before his eyes. Do you have your ID on you? No, sir. Okay. Well, I have to get your information. No, sir. What's your last name? Uh, Sam. S I M S. S I M E S E S. And first name? A N T. O I N E. O I A N E. What's a good telephone number for you? After he was asked for an ID, Antoine went from holding eye contact, being expressive with his hands, and communicating in a strong voice to avoiding eye contact, arms stiff at his side, and having a more timid voice. These were strong indicators that he didn't want the cops to know who he was, and he now wanted them far away from him. But after speaking to the McDonald's manager, the cops inch closer to uncovering Antoine's darkest secrets. He does not want you coming back in the store, he actually wants us to crimally trespass you. So, you will not be allowed back at this McDonald's. I don't even stay here. I It doesn't matter. He's requested it. We got to do it. It's not a big deal. It's a piece of charging. No, we're not charging. It's a piece of paper we're going to give you that's going to say, "Hey, you can't come back to this McDonald's." That's all it is. I'm going to get that form. It's a simple form that says, "Hey, just don't come back to this McDonald's." Now, I tell you, if you do come back to this McDonald's, will you get caught out here? You go jail. All right. I'm not I got a smart. So, the cop proceeded to collect the criminal trespassing form from his car. But that was the moment he made a very daring discovery. While in his patrol car, the cop inputed the man's name into his computer, and what happened next sent shivers down his spine. License status suspended 24year-old male wanted person. Caution violence armed and dangerous. Antoine had a warrant for his arrest about the death of a woman found in a burning car in 2018. The cop just realized he had been conversing with a suspected murder on the run for 5 years about his cold French fries. Although Antoine hadn't tried to escape or attack, as the cop moved to arrest him, he knew it could easily become a very deadly task. All right, Mr. Sims, come over here. I'm going have you sign this. I'm not under arrest or anything. No, sir. Come over here. I'm going have you sign this real quick. I said I'm not under arrest. No. No, you're not. Yeah. Just come over here. I'm going have you sign this real quick. You have to sign anything that you come back to the property. So, you'll fill this part out. Can I see it, sir? Yeah. You come over here, man. No, I'm I'm afraid of y'all, sir. 3 years, sir. I'm afraid of you. All right. I'm I'm going to walk you through. Why are you doing that? I know how to fill it out. Why are you doing that? I know how to Am I right? Yeah. Don't look me. Resisting arrest, Antoine led the police on a 20-minute chase before he was tased and arrested. He was charged with criminal trespass, hindering law enforcement, and felony murder. Antoine was on the run from the police for 5 years, but the next suspect didn't get away so easily. On July 15th, 2023, a state trooper pulled over a speeding vehicle and approached the driver, Michael Mitchell, whose very suspicious behavior would uncover a truly terrifying secret. Whose car is this, man? Big brother's car. Your big brother's You smoking weed today? Look at me. I did. Really? I'm not right now. Okay. All right. We'll take a look at you. Do you have an ID? You have any ID? Is there any weed in the car, man? Listen. Don't stop. Step. Step here. Step here to me. Look at me, Michael. Look at Make eye contact with me. Step out here. Step over here. Is there any weed in the car? Yes or no? Just a doobie in the ashtray light. Okay. Other than that, this Anything else? Dizzy. All right. Where you headed right now? I was headed to I was just headed back home. Okay. Where's home? What's your address? I got home. No. Stop. Stop. Come here. Where do you live? It's easy. It's easy to answer this. After mentioning he was going home, Michael breathed into his chest and looked away from the cop, making sure to avoid his gaze. This was an obvious sign of deception. And so, when Michael somehow forgot where he lived, the cop knew trusting him would be a huge mistake. At this point, the only way the cop could be sure about anything was to check for himself. And in the process, he uncovered something truly disturbing. That happened. When? My brother, he said, "How long ago?" Days. Yeah. Come back. Just lay this here. Come back here. Just stay right here in front of my car. The driver's side of the vehicle was riddled with bullet holes. This was greatly concerning and became even more disturbing when Michael let out a strange smile when he saw it. The cop, on the other hand, took it seriously, and he urgently needed an explanation. But before he could find one, a truck pulled up behind his car, and what happened next was completely unexpected. His family in Monroe is looking for him. They me well, I got somebody pulling up behind me scooter. All right. Thank you, fella. Hey, now who are you? Scared me to death. Well, how are y'all here? Called my people from Mont on the phone. What do you mean they were looking for him? They looking for him. The car missing. Hey. Okay. Give me Give me a call. Hey, man. How you doing? Okay. What? His name is Michael. He's not given that name, though. He's He's He's given another name. The man claimed that the car was recently reported missing. And on that same day, the owner of the car, Michael Robinson, was also reported missing. The story didn't seem to match Michael's claims that it was his brother's car. The case looked to have hit a standstill with these two very contrasting story, but that was when the cop took an unexpectedly drastic action, which uncovered something completely unimaginable. I'm going to do the obvious thing I want to do. I'm in. Yep. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Put your hands up. Put your hand behind behind behind your back. Put your hands behind your back. Who is that? Who is that? Who is who? That's Mike. That's Mike. How did Mike get there? Tell me. It wasn't me, man. It was I just hit the I just hit him, bro. I did. You just hit him. I just In the trunk was Robinson's deceased body with multiple bullet wounds. Michael confessed he was on his way to dispose of the body after his armed robbery operation with another teenager resulted in Robinson's death. Both Mitchell and his accomplice faced secondderee murder charges. While Michael attempted to sneak the body in a car, the next suspect was even less original. So, you saw her in the position that she's currently in now? Yes, sir. On the 5th of May 2023, police received a worrying call from a woman who hadn't been able to reach her sister for several days. So, deputies were dispatched to the sister's home for a welfare check. But upon arrival, they witnessed something very strange. The deputies searched around the house, knocked on the doors, and even looked through the windows, but they saw no sign of movement in the house. They even went as far as knocking on the neighbor's apartments in desperate need of any information. And they discovered something very crucial about the woman's whereabouts. Have you seen Laney recently? The girl? Yeah, next door neighbor. Just a guy's over there. When's the last time you see him run? Him? He usually walks up and down the road, but her I haven't seen her in a while. How long would a while be? Days? Months? Day or two? Days. Three. Three. Three weeks or something like that. When's the last time you seen the boys? Yesterday. Okay. Nobody today. Mm-m. The woman suspected to be missing had a son who reportedly only started staying with her 3 weeks before her whereabouts became unknown. And as the son was last seen the day before, the deputies believed there was a good chance he was still in the house. So they went back to the house. And after several minutes of desperately pacing around, the cops were about to break into the house, but were immediately stopped by an unexpected movement. I'm Did you hear us knocking before? Were you knocked out? No, I was sleeping in there. I'm glad you woke up cuz you're about to come inside. We're looking for mom. Do you have you seen her? She's not around right now. Do you know where she's at? sister's asking for. She's not in any trouble or anything like that. I have no idea. When was the last time you saw her? Few days ago. Where'd she go? She just wanted those four. Said she back, but you haven't seen mom since then. The son, supposedly in his 30s, finally came out of the house. But he wasn't much help to the deputies, informing them he hadn't seen or talked to her in days. But the cops noticed something odd about him. He had his head down when answering their questions, making sure to avoid eye contact with the cops, and he became increasingly suspicious when they proposed to search the house. Would it be all right if I just went inside to make sure she's not in there? My house, huh? I can't tell you no. Okay. But you stay here and it's your mom's house. Then we're looking for mom. So we just want to make sure mom's not stowed away in a closet or something. Dad didn't come back and retaliate for getting arrested or something like that. The man touched his nose, scratched his beard, and had multiple drinks of water. All signs that he was nervous. The cops noticed this, then their resolve to search the house only increased. And since the man mentioned he had no problem with that, the cops didn't expect what he did next. He could go in, but he could go in. Just leave us through. Do you have a key? No. Why would you lock the door behind you? I just usually do that. So, how do you get in? I don't know. How about this other little door that's over here? It's uh it's just barricaded out with what? Uh garbage can and some stuff. So, how do you get in the house by locking? Cuz I feel like you're [ __ ] with me. What the hell? What's the deal? I'm trying to [ __ ] with you. You're saying you understand how how this looks, right? Yes, sir. He locked the door on his way out of the house, and this gave the impression that he locked himself out to keep the cops out as well. At this point, the man presented himself as a suspect, but the cops managed to reach a compromise with the man, and he eventually opened up another door leading into the house. While one of them got in, the other stayed with the man who did something very unexpected. So, are you sure mom's not in there? I don't know. I just stayed in my room, stayed in the living room. We're already in, so we're going to find out. So, I understand, right? You're going to tell me you didn't know mom was in there? No. Now I got a whole bigger issue. Call 400 to come out here. Before the trooper got into the house, he perceived a foul odor and when he went into the house, he found the woman's deceased body in her room. The smell confirmed that she had been dead for a couple of days. So you saw her in the position that she's currently in now? Yes. So why did you tell us that mom wasn't there? The man pleaded guilty to failure to report death to the medical examiner. His mother's cause of death is pending a toxicology report. While this man did the bare minimum to hide his secret, Elizabeth Espinosa put a lot of effort into it. Because of the tents, they said the tents were too dark. And on January 7th, 2020, a patrol trooper pulled over a vehicle on suspicion that the window tint was unlawfully dark. But the patrol trooper wasn't aware that his interaction with the woman would uncover her hidden secrets. I just have you step over here on the grass. That way we're not too close to the roadway. And you said no issues with your license today. Correct. Okay. I have a lot. But I do have a picture. I don't know if you Yeah, I'll uh I'll look at it in just a minute. Um when did you lose your license? I lost it uh like 2 3 days ago. Couple of days ago. After checking the windows with a tint meter and confirming they were above the legal tint level, the trooper requested Elizabeth's information and proceeded to confirm it. Everything leading to this point seemed normal, and it appeared the lady was about to leave the scene with a ticket. But when another trooper arrived at the scene with a K-9 unit in his patrol car, things took an unexpectedly dramatic turn. Hey Chris, what's going on, man? Not too much. Do you mind? Yeah, thanks. The trooper greeted his colleague and then went up to the car when the canine began barking persistently. This was very suspicious because although there was a possibility Elizabeth had drugs in her car, it was still a far distance away for the dog to sniff out. So, in an attempt to make sense of the situation, the trooper took the canine for an air sniff around the car and that started a disastrous chain of events for Elizabeth. Miss Espinosa, any reason that K9 was searching your vehicle? No, I don't. Okay. Are you on the Florida medical marijuana registry? I was working there. Yes. You were working there? Yeah, I was working there. I go to Amazon. Okay. All right. Um, you're not a a mar medical marijuana patient, are you? Okay. All right. He's not training the odor of marijuana anyway, but so just something I have to ask you. Any hemp products in the vehicle today? No. Okay. All right. Well, train police K9 is alerting to your vehicle. So, um we're going to need to check it just to make sure there's nothing in there that shouldn't be. Okay. Um you're not under arrest, but you are going to be detained. Detained means that you're not free to go right now. Okay. After giving the officer's consent to search her vehicle, Elizabeth was placed in the back seat and allowed to make a call. As the officers searched her car to ensure she was indeed innocent of concealing drugs, Elizabeth rather unconsciously did the exact opposite. Hey, can you let Maria know to go for my kids? Um, I just got pulled over. now and um I need I need no because of the tents. They said the tents were too dark and there's another one here in the K9. So I don't I don't know. In the calls, Elizabeth switched between English and Spanish multiple times in an attempt to communicate secretly with the person on the other end. And that seemed to work as none of the troopers understood Spanish. But Elizabeth didn't know she was being recorded and her Spanish was translated to they're checking everything. They haven't found it yet, but they will. Elizabeth was successful in concealing the details of her car at the time, but that was insignificant as the troopers were about to uncover secrets that could end her life. If that's all, let's just say it's 9 kilos. by the gram, correct? What's that? You do you do it by the gram, correct? Yeah, but I'm just saying if it's 2.2 lb a kilo, that's how it works. Um, 20 lb. After a very extensive search, 26 lb of cocaine was found in Elizabeth's car and she was sentenced to 2 years in prison alongside 3 years of unsupervised release. Finishing off with a driver identified as Sheckchum. This individual tried to get out of interactions with law enforcement by being the high and mighty savior. Aunt just had a stroke. My uncle just had a stroke two and a half weeks ago. On August 16th, 2022, officers performing a routine stop found out that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended license, but they didn't know that they were about to make an arrest they'd never forget. All right. So, here here's what's going to happen, Sim. Okay. Um, unfortunately, I'm going to have to place you into custody today, okay? You're going to go down to jail. Oh no. You got to get booked in. They're going to take your fingerprints and picture and you'll get a bond. But because you're driving on suspended license, you got a bit of energy. Sir, I did not know. I have children. I have a sick uncle. And I run the household. I got you. The driver referred to as Sheckchum informed the police of his many responsibilities in hopes of a get out of jail card. And while he did seem remorseful and respectful, the cops soon realized that trusting him would be the biggest mistake of their lives. Unfortunately, the law is different here in Georgia than it is in South Carolina. If you have a suspended license, you have to go down to the jail and get booked in. But but sir, can you speak to my aunt? She speak. No, please speak to her. Please speak to her. I'm the only one that can help with my uncle and I can right now. Sorry about that. Your son, please driving a car without valid insurance. My son, you got that taken care of. You're already driving a car without valid insurance. My cousin can't trust me to drive to I swear to you, I'll walk away from my car. So, we're going to walk you back to this other car. Please, sir. Yes, sir. We're going to walk you to my bar, sir. I don't think my aunt is old. She's 80 years old. Driving with a suspended license in Georgia attracted a minimum of 2 days in jail and an option to bond out. So, with his strong please, it implied that either Sheckchham really didn't like jails or he knew all too well that if he was eventually booked, he would undoubtedly spend the rest of his life in jail. Nothing in your pocket, right? Sir, what all do you need out of your sir? I have a child at the house that they cannot take care of. What do you need out of your car? Sir, I beg you. I beg of y'all. I will not touch my car. You will take my keys out. What all do you need out of your car? I don't need I need my family. That's it. I do my entire I do a seat for me, sir. I just want you to turn and face towards me and then sit down in the seat. Slide into place, sir. Sir, I do for my entire family. Okay. Okay. So, what do you what do you want to tell on on everything? My aunt just had a stroke. My uncle just had a stroke 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. I'm here helping my family. I don't even know who can come and bomb me out. I don't even know who can come and bind me out. I'm not a criminal. I'm not a crook. Sheckchham played the role of a defenseless savior of his family who had never committed a crime before. But that wasn't true. The name on his license was Reyes A. Sheckchham, but his actual name was Muhammad Bal Alamin, and he got a fake license to protect himself from his past life of crime. On November 1994, Muhammad shot a teenager in the face and had since been on the run after appearing on the FBI's most wanted list. He wasn't an innocent family man as he portrayed, but instead a killer on the run for over two decades. Just know that Can you speak to my auntie? Just have a Uhhuh. Just just speak to my aunt because I do everything for the house. I I do everything. My son is there. He's only 13 years old. He doesn't not he does not know what's going on. This is This is I don't Can you let my cousin know wherever it is I'm going? in the county. [Music]
