On the 16th of February 2025, officers respond to a domestic dispute involving alcohol at a family home. As statements are taken, the situation escalates into a mandatory arrest. >> Guys, on a domestic situation? >> Yeah. >> Do you know how domestic violence works in the state of Ohio? >> No. >> So, any accusation of a threat of violence or any violence occurred, it's a mandatory arrest by sheriff's office. >> Okay. >> Okay, so what happened tonight? >> So, I was upstairs. Can we go inside? >> That's fine. >> Okay. >> Any weapons in the house? >> No. No. >> Okay. >> Not that I know of. >> Okay. >> He's upstairs. He went in my son's bedroom. Cuz I said >> I see. I see. My parents >> And if you I'm not going to let you come in there. I'm going to go in there if you try to take him. That's why I just called you guys cuz I know he doesn't think I would actually call. We had been doing really well. We were in marriage counseling like a year and a half ago. Things have gotten so much better. I have no idea what happened. We went out to dinner the two of us tonight at Paragon, and then we went to O'Leary's. So, we did drink some. Like I had two wines, he had two drinks. So, I had four drinks total. And then I just looked in the trash and there were two more beer cans. So, I feel like he was like able to hide a little bit. >> Yeah. >> He came upstairs. We had talked about like earlier and I said, "Yeah, okay." But then when he came up, I was like, "I'm too tired. I just want to go to bed. I've been up here for an hour." What were you doing? I was watching NBA All-Star game. I'm like, "Okay, I just want to go to bed now." Then he's like, "What the fuck?" You know, like getting all pissed at me. And I was like, "Come on. I don't want to." And then I said something stupid like about some dumb influence. You know, like, "Will you just let No, I just played with myself. This is so embarrassing. Like, you know, whatever. >> That's fine. >> And so then um I was just like, "Just let me go. Like I don't I just want to go to bed." And then he's just like grabbing me saying like, "Who's in control? Not you. I'm in control." He's never touched me like this. >> How'd he grab you? >> He grabbed me like he put his hands on me right here. And he's like 6'4" and like 220 lbs. Like I can't do anything. And then he put his hands around me. So, I to talk and him. the [ __ ] off me!" Like, and I have this little cut from it like just from having this on cuz he was pushing on me hard. And then, I got up and I ran to the other bedroom. And then, he's like, "Where do you think you're going?" And I'm like, "I just want to go." And he's like, "I'm calling your dad." I was like, "You're not calling my dad. My dad has to go to >> What was his intentions to cause you physical harm? >> I don't know. Like, he's never done this, but I said when when we were in couples counseling before and like he did like kind of pushed me off the bed and I said I should have called the cops then cuz then I called the cops the next day and I said like, "What do I need to do?" Cuz I was worried he was going to like try to take our son, you know, the whole custody stuff. >> Uh-huh. >> And so, I said, "Can I Can What do I do?" And they're like, "If something like this happens again, you need to call because if you don't have documentation, like it's it's nothing." And so, I'm like, "Okay." >> So, he made a threat to you or did he intend to cause physical harm or cause physical harm to you? What was his intentions to cause you physical harm or not? That's what we have to establish. >> Okay. I mean, I think these the intent was to establish control. Like, >> Not to hurt you. >> power over me, I guess, but then he did push me. Like, that's my husband. He's probably coming down cuz he doesn't think I'd actually call. >> He pushed you? >> Hard. In the other bedroom. Like, so I fell and I was like, "What the >> Did that You have injury from that? >> Uh, I don't think so. But, I he's just never acted like this and so, all I said was I want to take back our son and go to my parents. And then, he said, "You're not taking him." And I was like, "Yes, I am. If you're doing this to me, I don't feel comfortable." Our son is asleep. Okay, so that Yeah, that would suck waking him up, putting him in the car cuz he's going to cry and like he doesn't know what's going on. He doesn't He's not awake. >> were you guys on the bed when he pushed down on you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Then, you got up and he pushed you. Where did he push you? >> my phone cuz I said, "Give me my phone. I'm calling the cops." And he's like, "You're not calling the cops." You know, and then he grabbed my phone, but then I had my watch there still, so I called you guys on my watch. And then, he's like, "Here's your stupid phone." You know, and I was like, >> Okay. And he pushed you in the bedroom? >> He held me down on the bed in the bedroom. >> you pushing? What were you pushing? >> other bedroom upstairs and he like like this like you know. >> Like enough make you fall down? >> I fell. >> Did you hurt Did you hurt yourself at all? >> No, like I mean I'm not hurt but I mean then he goes we're trying to make a baby cuz like we thought we were going to have another child. We're kind of trying to get pregnant but I >> So >> He's like we're not Everything we're doing we're doing that now. >> Everything you told me leads to domestic violence situation tonight cuz we have to establish that you were assaulted and what you're saying you've been assaulted. You have a visit You have a medical visit. >> him I said you just assaulted me. I'm calling the police and the cops. >> can establish that you've been assaulted tonight. Do you agree? >> All right. Are you >> Well then he'll say and then I say get the [ __ ] off me. So then I was like going to like trying to push him to get out of the way cuz he was blocking me from leaving the end like a doorway. >> How'd you get the cut from him hitting you there? >> really know. Like I I've had this on and then I put the watch on and then I just saw this here. So I don't really know how that happened. >> Okay. Are you going to press charges against him? >> I don't know. I just I just wanted to take our son and go to my parents cuz I don't want When this kind of stuff This doesn't happen for a long time. >> From what you're saying you're telling me you're being assaulted and you're telling me your actions We will press charges on on behalf of the state. >> What does that mean though? Like what >> He's going to jail. From everything you're telling me and you believe that he you've been assaulted. He's going to jail tonight. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> Hello. >> Want to talk with me over here? Okay. Explain to me what happened tonight. >> I did get physical with her. I got physical with her. >> Okay. >> It was more towards frustration you know. We've been trying to have a second kid. She came in after using the restroom and I said how are we going to do this, right? >> Yeah. >> And uh it was just more like making me feel like [ __ ] cuz I was watching the NBA all star eating down here for half an hour whenever I came up. And she was mad she was like where have you been for an hour? You come in order to do this and I'm like well we're in the window we should try to do this. She you know. >> Okay. >> She just name called and stuff like that and then I did I was like you do you [ __ ] cuz it's been 6 years of me wanting a child, a second child. And it just all came to a head, you know, just too much frustration. We did we had drinks tonight and stuff. >> Yeah. You said you were frustrated. I mean how did you grab her? >> I did I did I put my hand over her mouth and I said can you just stop talking? >> Okay. Okay so you were just trying to tell her not to stop. So you weren't trying to cause her physical harm or anything like that? >> No I was just trying to stop her talking. >> Um here it goes and here one of the things we have to make sure of obviously is domestic violence laws or domestic disputes. Domestic violence >> pressing charges. I'll go in. Like >> And domestic violence is is where somebody is either attempting to cause or causes physical harm. Um being married couples or people who live together that are in a relationship Um obviously if violence occurs somebody has to go to jail. It's a what we call a preferred arrest. It's it's not only a state law but it's a federal law. >> I get it. >> Um but it's just a dispute. Um with your side of it I haven't really heard a whole lot of hurt here. Your side of it sounds like it's more of like a like a dispute. >> Right. >> Um what we'll do is um um it's basically just documented within our department. Um and then we ask that you guys to separate so that we don't come back out here but um depending on what she says what she says occurs if she feels like you were causing her attempting to cause her physical harm um most likely you're going to go to jail. If she says you know it's just an argument I don't think you were trying to cause any physical harm um you just want them to you know to stop or whatever then >> If if she if she feels like I'm causing her physical harm I'll go to jail. I'll I'll be all of myself then. Like if she feels like I'm >> We'll get the get some information. You don't have any weapons on you or anything like that do you? Um you don't uh we'll get some information here. What is your name? >> Mark Orgon put your hands behind your back. Palms go to praying. >> Get some shoes we can grab for you somewhere. >> Yeah, I got it. I can walk around in my socks and then I'm >> You get two pairs of cuffs on you and then you got your shoulder issues. >> I do, but it's okay. I got a pair of shoes. >> You got like kids in the car or anything like that too? >> I don't have the kids. Just one. >> You got anything in your pockets or anything you want to bring with you? >> I have a serious Sorry, you guys have a good night. >> Well, I think alcohol is involved tonight. >> Yeah. >> Um Thanks for having a car. >> Yep. >> I think with the massive amounts of laws under the state of Ohio, we have no choice. >> Yeah. >> If we don't do something and something else occurs, >> Yeah, you're right. >> I'll be homeless. >> Yeah, just so you know, you're done. I think it's >> No. >> So, it's 45 >> It's December 7th. >> I've never been arrested before. I've never seen anything I was supposed to be arrested. think it's >> Watch your noggin there. >> Hang on, I'll help you out here in a second. >> Okay. >> It's a good idea I let you call. >> Okay. >> And then you can walk to your left over here. And then if you would just go check walk in front of admissions and just stand at the wall for me. >> Thank you. Thank you.
