You were in this car? Okay, you were driving, you were the passenger. Okay. >> Yes, sir. She was a passenger. First, she was driving completely chaotic. Finally, cut it like went around in an oncoming traffic right here and then cut us off. Slammed on the brakes, signaled the turn into here. So, we turned into here to see what the hell is like going on with this person. >> Mhm. >> Followed them through here and at their driveway, we're going to start calling you guys. Followed them through here. >> And then >> And we went down the street a little bit. They got out the car and started screaming at us. Started saying, "Fuck you. What are you doing? They can change >> Yeah, all of it. And if everything was fine >> Then just have them check me out. Uh the lady gets out the car and she screams, "Get out the car. I'm going to shoot you." And that's when they get back in the >> over here at uh Quick Stop is asking for EMS. If you can have them go ahead and come on in. What were they driving? >> A Nissan Rogue and they tried to get the license plate. >> Okay. >> Um and that's when she he tried covering it up. >> Yeah, he got in of it and wouldn't allow us to get his license plate. >> she came out and the car threw my phone. I was getting all >> She hit her hand. Like hit hit her physically had to hit her cuz the phone went flying. >> here. >> And that's when I stepped in front of him. I said, "Yo, you guys got to get back, you know? This I was like, "You guys got to get back." Cuz I got to [ __ ] you up. I'm going to [ __ ] you up. He pushes me and then that's when I push him back and we get into a little brawl because >> backed into me. >> And the woman hit her with >> into your car? >> No, no, hit her with >> was trying to get video because that's where your license plate is only on the rear but in Florida so I was trying to get that the video of everything that was going down and I she backed into >> Okay. So I got out of the car, "Why are you following us?" They don't say nothing. So we go to the store and we're going to sit in the store and wait for them to see if they And they followed us to the store and got out of the store and then started saying [ __ ] So I got a little upset because, you know, they're already causing a [ __ ] with my girl so and I'm already like I'm already like I already get anxiety real bad and we're being followed and I have my baby mama who has people. I mean he grabbed he before I ever even touched him and defending myself he snatched me by my arm and I told him the first time I said if you touch me again I'm going to defend myself and he went to go for me again and I hit him till he hit the ground. And he tried to He tried to pull me he tried to pull no I'm all right but he tried to pull me to the ground with him and then I ran to get in the car and he jumped in the car with me still trying to beat me up. But as soon as I made him hit the ground sir and this is my word to God my right hand to God I did not touch him no more. He came after me and followed me into the car after I turned my back to him and tried to get away he chased me. Do you know that I just got into a car wreck last month and I can't even really defend myself because of my side's real [ __ ] up. And what's your what's your name? >> Punching him in the car. >> Yeah he got in the car after me. >> THAT'S THE DUDE. >> YOU GRABBED HIM FIRST. >> He grabbed him to the ground. >> I just want to know why they were following us. >> So much you nowadays that shit's scary bro. >> I was scared I thought they had a gun. I mean it's Florida you can >> So apparently there were some statements made about somebody that was going to shoot somebody. No nobody said that. >> No one? >> No one. >> Not not that I I you know >> They didn't say either? >> No. >> No no no gun was involved. >> Okay. We just I just want to know why they're following us because I don't want to I'm sure you feel the same way if somebody's following you're not going to want them to follow you home. >> All the way home cuz then they're going to know where we live so then we >> And as soon as they got out he him and his girlfriend got out of the car at the quick stop and started walking towards us. If you right rewind that >> And where did this where did this happen at? Inside the store? >> Yeah they're right there right in the parking lot there's a camera if you look at the camera you can see where he grabbed me and he he did he grabbed me first before I ever even touched him. >> He did grab him. >> He and that's that's where he got me. >> Show he tried to drag me to the ground with him, too. >> Does he have any more for him? >> I haven't spoken to him yet. Do you uh both have your ID on you? >> I do not. >> What's your uh what's your last name? >> There was no reason for that law. >> I knew I don't know if the laws are still the same or what, but once somebody comes charging comes up to you and grabs you, touches you, you have the right to defend yourself. >> Let's see the video again. Yeah, of course. >> You said it happened in front of the camera that was in front of the QuickStop, right? >> We were inside of the store. They parked on the front part or like in front of the door and then we parked on the side of it. They came They pulled in right after us and got out of the car and started walking over towards us recording and all that [ __ ] >> Okay. >> And then they were trying to record our tag and I'm like, "I'm not going to let you record our tag because you've been following us." And then he wanted They wanted to get aggressive. >> Okay. >> I wanted to know why you're stopping at a green light because I was going to speed limit. That's for me. >> I'm trying to come here. >> So, they were like they were in front of you at the light and then did they like did they slow down and go behind? >> So, they were in front of us and I put my high beams on them to let them know, you know, "Hey, you're stopping at a green light." And I honked on them. So, I went around them and they started They They started following me. And I when I went to turn into here, I I was going, you know, I was I slowed down a little bit and I turned into here and then they started following me. And I was not going to come here with them following us. >> Do you guys want to pursue charges? >> Do you want to pursue charges, Ashton? >> I do honestly because he grabbed me and came to the car after me. >> Still over there? >> And I just got into a car wreck last month and I can't even I couldn't even barely defend myself. My chest hurts right now because of that. >> the other dude over there just got into a car wreck recently. >> Damn. >> Yeah. >> I mean, I hope they're all right. I just I just didn't know why they were following us. >> Dude, 21 10-40 112. >> Do you want to give me a call? >> Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. We're not saying that you are or you aren't. >> Okay, I'm sorry. I will take the breathalyzer, though. >> We're not We're not That's not what we're saying. >> Okay. >> We're We're working out this whole We're just saying what happened. >> Okay, is that what they're saying? >> So, let them do their job, baby. Yeah, man. I'm sorry that I love you, but with him trying to get in in the car like he did, dude, it I was in fear of my life. I was like I told her, "Babe, go. I'm going to call the law when we leave." And I I came straight to my grandma's. We went back around that way and came back this way so they didn't see us coming here, you know, and follow us so >> Okay. >> So, I had no earlier mention you guys came up to a green light. >> And they stopped in the middle of it and I honked at them. >> Okay. And that's when you guys went through the the intersection and then they started following you? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And they followed me all the way here. >> Yeah, cuz we had to go around them because they would kept braking braking us and [ __ ] >> and and just basically being stupid on purpose. Like I don't know why people would tend to do that. So, I went around them and then they started following me. >> Okay. And then when you guys got to the uh quick stop, that's when >> He got there and he He was driving, too. He was the one driving. >> She was recording. They got out first and then my boyfriend got out of the car and then that's when they started exchanging words and then they started coming closer. Like they wanted to start something. >> Yeah, I was pissed about the whole situation and why are you even following us? I mean, I had I could have had my my daughter in the car. >> No, that's wrong. Like why are you even >> I seen it was a guy driving and I'm like, "Now you're following my wife. That's really weird." But then I seen a woman in the car. But when he I was going to wait I was going to call y'all. I was going to call y'all and wait up there, but when he tried to get in the car, dude, like as as soon as I got him to the ground, I I tried to get to the car to get to my phone to call the law. He wanted He tried to keep me from making it to the car to get to my phone. up, [ __ ] That's how I felt about it. >> Like that we followed them. >> Because he he literally grabbed me by my leg and tried to keep me to the ground so I couldn't get away from him. >> What all happened today? >> Uh so, we were driving down downtown Milton. And this person was driving behind me really close, flashing lights. They were really aggressive to where I couldn't even see her headlights. That points. I don't brake check. I go 35 above the speed limit because I'm not trying to piss someone off. She's trying to go into oncoming traffic to pass me in town and town. She passes half a mile down the road and cuts in front cuts in front of us, hits the brakes, comes to a dead screeching stop right here. She rolls the window down and that's like, we need to follow them, get on the phone with sheriff's department, you know, get the license plate number, all that stuff. We follow them for maybe 30 seconds, 15 seconds down the road. We're far behind. Get out the car, start screaming at us like, "Fuck you. Let's fight." >> What's going on, but step back. You can step back. You guys are acting crazy. I said Babe, stop. Get off. You little [ __ ] You have to grab me. Sorry. >> Miss, will you mind stepping over here and talk to me real quick? >> Me? >> Britney. >> Yes, sir. >> Do me a favor, can you take your hands out of your pocket? >> [ __ ] it. >> Turn around and place your hands behind your back. >> We're going to explain everything to you. >> I don't want to go to jail. >> We're going to explain everything. >> Why? Please. >> You got a phone or anything? >> Yes. >> You got it with you? >> Yes. Why am I being arrested? >> We're going to explain it to you. >> Oh, my god. >> The charge is going to be just simple battery, okay? >> What the hell? No. >> Take it easy. You'll be able to bond out later. >> Please, what the [ __ ] I didn't do it. What did I do? >> You're going to take me to jail. >> I can't. I can't my daughter, man. My daughter. >> I'm going to get you out, baby. >> No, I can't. >> You'll You'll have a bond. You'll be able to bond out later. I'm telling you that right now. >> No, I can't. >> I'm getting you out. I'm getting you out. >> Oh, my Take the keys. Take the keys. >> All right, come with me. >> Take the keys out of my pocket. >> Do I have permission to get it? >> I will get the keys out of your pocket. Come with me. >> Why am I getting arrested? >> Because you're getting arrested for simple battery tonight, okay? >> How did I get battery? >> You slapped somebody's phone out of their hand. >> I didn't know that was against the law. It was in my face. Please, I know I can't do this. No, no, officer, please, I can't do this. >> Stand against the vehicle, face the vehicle, please. What in your pockets do you want me to retrieve for them? >> and the money. >> Which pocket is it in? >> It's it's it's my pocket, my front >> This one, the front one? Do you mind if I go and retrieve them? >> Yes, that's fine. Ashton, call my mom. >> Hey, Britney. What uh you want the car keys to go with you or what? >> And you said money, too, right? >> Yeah, it's $20 in my pocket. I didn't know that I could get in trouble for slapping a phone out of her hand. She was following us. >> That is ma'am, by the state by the Florida state statute, that is the unwanted and intentional touching of another, okay? >> I didn't know that. >> Okay, it doesn't matter if you know it or not. >> that that that's this is what court's for, okay? We're not saying that you are you are >> I have a CPS case, and this is not going to look good on me. >> Do you have anything on you or in you that's going to get you in trouble at the jail if you >> No, just my phone. I can't do it. >> And you want to take your phone with you, right, Britney? >> Yes. >> You want to take your seat? >> Call my family. >> Hey, Britney. Britney. This is $20. This is your keys, correct? >> Yes. >> And you want this to go to who? >> Ashton. >> Okay. This is all on body camera of me asking you permission to give this to him and you're requesting that, and it'll be uh shown on that, okay? >> [laughter] >> Can you get my glasses? >> We've got your We've got your phone right here. You want your glasses? Where's your glasses at, Britney? >> They just fell off my face. >> In the car? >> Get me out before Friday, ASHTON. >> I WILL, MAN. >> NO. >> This is all on body camera, so she's requested that I give you this. >> I don't even understand the law. >> She slapped the phone out of her hand. >> She That That woman touched her >> Listen to me. Listen to me very carefully. Between you and him, that's mutual combat, okay? If either party wants to pursue charges, then both of y'all are going to go to jail. Because you're on top of him beating the snot out of him. He's engaged in the fight, too. So, if you say, "I want to pursue charges," then we would hook you and hook him, and then a judge decides who's primary aggressor, essentially. So, the fact that she gets out of the car and starts running over there and slapping the phone out of her hand, this could have all been avoided, honestly. If you If you just If you feel like somebody You're You're 2 minutes from the sheriff's office. If you feel like you're being called or followed, call the sheriff's office. Say, "Hey, somebody's following me. I don't know what's going on. This is where we're at." They would just tell you to go to the sheriff's office. There's plenty of cops there. And then this is all resolved. >> You know what I mean? >> You're looking at the minimum going through a bail bondsman, bonding her out. She's not convicted of this. This is a charge, and that's different. Charge and a conviction are two different things. So, uh she's still going to have, you know, her her day in court, and she'll get to explain her side of it, and then she'll show up and explain her side of it. The judge will ultimately say >> She's trying to get her daughter back, man. That's That's the main concern. >> She was charged with battery.
