The officer is waiting in an area where people frequently speed. Out of nowhere, a Corvette appears, but this encounter won't go quite as expected. It appears that the Corvette driver takes his foot off the gas in hopes that the officer didn't radar him, but he's already too late. The officer takes off at a high rate of speed to catch up to the suspect, but this is far from over. He doesn't hit his lights to chase right away, and the Corvette driver seems to think he's in the clear. The Corvette driver is not driving slowly with the officer mirroring his every move. We've all been there, right? Pretending like the cop behind you isn't going to pull you over. The officer, however, doesn't try to pull him over right away. He waits for the driver to exit the highway, but that's just the opportunity this Corvette driver is waiting for. The second this officer hits his lights, the Corvette takes off and starts to leave the officer in the dust, but just ahead, there's a red light that allows the officer to catch up. Beyond that, however, is just a straightaway, and the driver is going to take advantage of that. The officer keeps sight of him for a little while, but with the suspect hitting speeds of more than 140 miles per hour, the officer doesn't stand a chance. Someone told the Corvette driver he can't outrun a radio, and he seemed to take it personally. The officer tried to find him, but in the end, the driver got away.
