a Jackson Township police officer was on regular Patrol when the car in front of him began to stop unfortunately this led to a catastrophic accident with one car crashing into two others causing one of the vehicles to become lodged on top of another car hit a vehicle she saw two young kids down start walking around like they were going to run off but theying on Steam there are you okay Ralph yeah I'm good buddy n six I just got in a rear ended accident I'm at fton and Fox Chase it was me I slammed on my brakes I couldn't stop go go and stay right over here you okay I'm good buddy you okay yeah what happened um so like we were just talking down the road and then I was of course you know making sure I wased my speed because there's a cop in front of me okay and then like I saw everyone's brake light start to go then okay it just so did you bump into the no the car behind me that car flipped open FR of where do you need the road closed wow hold on hold on this kid 17 so I'm calling his house okay I think so I mean it it's it's hard to say he just wants to get checked out so um are you sure you don't want to get checked out yeah I'm not I scraped my knee up a little bit right there you to do that or if you want to just I can just leave you off the tell leave you off the schedule obviously it's going to take a while to get this sorted here right and um I'm not sure how long it's going to take for OSP to get here hopefully not too long but yeah so it's almost what time it's 5:30 17:32 now so it's probably I mean you could be here another hour at least so I don't know um it's up to you I mean I I don't know if you're GNA want to like I said with your car and everything like that I don't even know that it's drivable so it's you know you let me know what you want to do if you want to if if you want to contact your your wife and let her know I did call her already I just told her I didn't know what was going to happen from here on out and I would let her know she's on her way to get her son from but I don't I guess my question was some the administration standpoint would they want me to work or I didn't know I mean there's I mean I I mean it happen while you're off duty right so there's going to be some phone calls to be had so right right I mean I I mean I my concern is your your safety right now and that you're okay because of the airbag deployment so that's a discussion we can I can have in a few minutes but um um if you're okay if if you feel like you're okay to work um I guess my only concern is getting home you know if I were to go to work how do I get involved in the crash was evaluated by medical staff treated at the hospital and released with minor injuries the off-duty officer involved in the accident received a citation we ask for your
