work. I'm just doing my job. I applaud you. >> What the is this about? >> I don't know what y'all talking about or what's going on. >> That's not you. >> Only Cams provides body cam footage for transparency and educational purposes only. On July 23rd, 2025, >> Tallahassee, Florida, what started as another afternoon of games and birthday parties took a strange turn when police walked into a Chuck E. Cheese looking for the man inside the mouse costume. It all began weeks earlier when a woman discovered over $100 in unauthorized charges on her credit card. She told police the only place she'd used it recently was a Chuck E.Cheese cheese during her child's birthday party. >> On you real quick, man, you so I can go ahead and get these links to you while we're doing this. >> Investigators traced the purchases, one at a meat market, another at a smoke shop, and reviewed security footage from a nearby grocery store. The man using her card looked familiar. He worked at the same restaurant. When the victim returned to the restaurant in July, she recognized the suspect immediately, this time dressed as Chuck-E-Cheese himself. Um, a guy stole a credit card uh from the complainant and then has been using it at different places and the complainant tracked it down to him. She has video of him using it at a meat market. Um, and she's like, "I know that's my card cuz this is a distinct card." And she's here outside the Chuck-E-Cheese and she says he's inside right now. >> Oh, really? Okay. And how did she know it's him? Uh she found she went to the meat market uh where she was seeing charges and uh went to the timestamp from the charge and the meat market let her look at the video and she's like, "Wait a second, that guy's an employee at the Chuck-E-Cheese that I just had my daughter's birthday party at." >> She called police who met her outside before walking in to make the arrest. >> Just ask management. We don't know what they think, sir. Thank Yes, we are >> inside. Officers found the costumed employee surrounded by children. Now, Chucky, come with me, Chucky. >> Come with Chucky. Chucky, stop resisting. Stop resisting. >> Don't resist. Do not resist. Let your hands go. >> Let your hands go. They informed him he was under arrest for credit card fraud. He resisted briefly as parents and kids watched in disbelief. Come on. >> We're on this way, sir. >> Okay. >> You can let that man walk out the door. Yo, wrong. >> He's a crime. He's a criminal. What would you like to know? >> I would like y'all to walk him out the door and comp somebody like >> Would y'all put Mickey Mouse in handcuffs? >> Okay. He's the suspect. just stole someone's car here and has been using it. Uh someone that was one of your uh employees like last week or something like that. >> Outside in the parking lot, officers questioned the man. >> I don't work here. I'm just doing my job. I >> understand. >> What the is this about? >> We're going to talk. >> We're going to talk to you in a second. >> Search him as best you can. You have any weapons, knives? >> I don't carry weapons. >> Okay, perfect. >> I'm about to explain that to you right after we do this. Okay. I don't know what y'all talking about or what's going on. Why are y'all even harassing me and I didn't even do anything? I'm in here working. >> So, I need you to answer the questions before I talk to you. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us now? >> I I Why? What? I talked to y'all and I don't know what's going on. >> It's a yes or no, sir. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to us now? >> Whatever, man. >> Yeah. >> Is it a yes? Okay. We are investigating some some fraud stuff with the credit card. Did you uh have you been using anyone else's credit card anywhere? No sir. >> Have you been? >> He denied the allegations. >> No sir. Only card I use is my own cash app. That's it. >> So you don't use a credit card anywhere? >> No sir. >> Okay. Um you you've never obtained a credit card from here, found one, lost or whatever else and used it anywhere else. So there wouldn't be any video of you anywhere shopping with a credit card >> like at the meat market. >> At the meat market that doesn't belong to you. >> I don't know anything about a meat market. >> You don't shop at the meat market? You So you haven't gone anywhere and used a credit card to shop anywhere in the past week? >> None. >> Okay. >> If I find a card or something, I turn it in if I'm in. >> We'll get it figured out, man. We'll get it figured out. >> Thank you. >> If I was to find a card or something, I'm giving it up. I don't do nothing with other people cards cuz I cannot afford to lose this job. This is all I know and love. >> I got you. Have you ever been to a place called 720 >> 720 in Tallahassee? >> Orange after the meat market. Oh, the meat market. >> What about Cloud Smoke Shop? You ever been there? >> Okay. >> When you're also on film stealing. >> What about the water burger? You go to the water burger and get some food with a credit card. >> Okay. >> Only thing >> neighborhood meat market. You went there multiple times. >> I use my own card. No, I don't use other people's stuff for nothing. >> Okay. At the meat market, you use your own card. >> My own card. That's it. >> What about Tony Mart? >> No. >> Haven't been there recently. >> You haven't been to Tony Mart. Okay. Time savers again. So you you go to these places and use your cash app on your phone to pay for per. >> Does that look like you? Something you wear? >> No, sir. I don't wear no stuff like that. >> You don't wear anything like that? That's not you. >> But when officers showed him the evidence, his confidence shifted. >> That's not you. >> Shocked. >> Hey, look at me. It's going to be in your best interest to tell the truth. Okay? Don't don't pretend like that's not you in the picture. All right? You know it's you. Just start telling us the truth. >> I don't want to go to jail today. >> I mean, if you're lying to us, you're only going to make things worse on yourself, buddy. All that's going to go in the report and all the judge is going to see all that [ __ ] >> I'm not trying to go to jail today. >> I I understand that, but we got to investigate what happened here. So, if you want to I mean, if you want to let us know what's going on, that would help everyone here, including yourself. >> If you're lying to me, it's not going to go well, man. What's your name? >> Hold on a minute, officer. Can I go inside to get my cookies? Have a seat. You can tell us where it is and we'll go get it for you. >> He was charged with three felony counts. >> Theft of a credit card, fraudulent use of a card, and criminal use of personal identification information. >> Court records revealed this wasn't his first run-in with police with prior arrests for theft, trespassing, and drug possession. >> Yeah, they're bus passes. That's not his card. So everything except for the one card that's not his and that and where we meet here with with evidence going to the >> Okay. >> Chuck E. Cheese later confirmed they were aware of the incident and had taken appropriate action against the part-time employee. >> I'm we're really sorry. >> I mean I it happened. >> I'm cool with that. It's just taking him out with the Chucky suit on. You know what I'm saying? I got him. I if he did he I can't I don't want to >> I didn't even think about it. But to clarify >> when we grabbed him like even the slightest he was technically resisting arrest. So he was tensing and bracing and he wouldn't even let us move his arms. >> Well, >> so that is kind of how it went. >> I understand the job 100%. >> I know it's a terrible place to be. >> I understand. >> Yeah, that's that's it. I understand the job, but I got custom petty coming. They come to Kentucky. We just got arrested on top. >> Do you have a backup by chance or not? so much. >> I mean, if you good, you good. I mean, I can't >> Sorry about it. If you have any other questions, just let us know. Um, but I'm pretty sure we'll be taking him to jail here. >> The man was taken into custody. >> All right, stand up. Face away from me. Put your hands behind your back. I don't I might have been on camera in that store you saw, but not using what y'all think. Okay. >> Thank you for grabbing that for us. >> I'm not trying to lose a rest in one word. >> You said Jay. What's your middle name, sir? >> JRo. >> JRo. >> How do you spell it? >> J A R R E A U. I hate that name. >> J A R R E A U. >> Yes, sir. >> So, we got the only cards you have is the one plain white card.
