You gotta get yourself educated. There's nothing wrong with target practicing, but to killing something just to kill, there's a lot of wrong to just killing just for the hell of it. Welcome back to the Donnie Rapture channel, where I always bring you fresh, never recycled body cam footage. Today's body cam video takes place on February 11th, 2023 in Palm Beach County, Florida. An anonymous caller reported that three black males were spotted in the wildlife management area shooting at a protected American alligator. On approach to the truck, the truck was observed driving very slowly, with all three occupants looking out of the windows. 54, just put me on time. Can I have a registration for a vehicle, your ID, please? And where are your guns at? Don't pull it out, just asking where they're at. Thank you. You guys have alligator permits that I can look at? I'm sorry? We got that one. So do you have alligator permits? You do not? No, we don't have it. We got it for somebody. He was killing everything. He asked us if we needed us. They gave it to us. Who? The guy with the Jeep, but he said we can't bring it to the front. They're gonna give some money for that. He was driving a Jeep. He was driving a Jeep? Yeah. And when was that? I don't know. Okay. All right. Whoa, ho, ho, ho. 83-12. Can you try and make that to five? All right, can I see where your gun's at? Do you have a gun on you? Yes? No. Okay, can you pass it over? That's your 9mm. Can I see your gun, please? Where is it? I appreciate it. No other guns in the car? When I asked you, you said you don't have any, huh? Hey, hey, hey. No, no, no, no. Come on. You know better. All right, so here's what we have. First of all, you need to have a daily permit to get in here. Every time you come in, it's six bucks for a car, right up front, or you can buy an annual pass for 25 bucks, and it's done. But this is almost negligible what happened as far as what we have here. Gators, it's out of season. That's one. Two, you have to have a permit to have a gator, to hunt a gator. The permit will specifically tell you where you can take the gator. Corbett is never this place. This is a management area. You will never get a permit to hunt a gator here. Never. That's just not going to happen. No, he said you can't even hunt a gator. You can hunt other animals during the season, but gator, that's not, that will never happen. So now we can't, we're not supposed to hunt at all. Right now, there's a small game. With a gator, the way you hunt them, there's a specific way that you have to kill them. With the back of the head? With a bank stick. It's a stick, but it's loaded, it's a one-shot, it's a shotgun shot. And this is the only way to kill a gator. This is not Louisiana. You cannot shoot a gator with a rifle or with a handgun. You can not. You load a shotgun shot, it's a single shot. That's it. So there is a lot of things that you guys need to learn about hunting gators. Yes. You also have to have a hunting license. So there's a quite a few violations here, but let me first check the guns, make sure they're not stolen or anything like that. All right. November Juliet uniform 2986. 10-4. I also have a 22 rifle, 23. What is it? I think it's a baby blue. Baby blue here? Yeah, but I'm not entirely sure. How's it going? I'm Patrick. Who are you? You want to hop out for me real quick? I'll talk you back here. I'm going to put you in his truck and I'm going to put him in the other truck. I want to talk to you all individually. All right. Oh, there's trouble, but it's not big trouble. Yeah. So would you have any pocket knives or anything on you? All right. Just go ahead. Just sit in here for a second. Just take a seat and relax. All right. What's your name? I'm Patrick. All right. You can just leave your phone and everything. Leave it right there. You're coming back, but you're going to go sit in the truck for a moment right now. It's up to you. If you want to bring your wallet, that's fine. Just sit in there for a second. I'll be right with you. All right. Yes. All right, man. Come on out real quick. And what's your name? All right. I'm Patrick. You can just sit on the bed of the truck real quick. So basically I just want to get, I guess you may have already told your story to the other officer. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to read you Miranda. And then if you'd like to answer your questions, then that's up to you. Start your time from the time you entered the management area to how you became in possession of the Gators to where you're at now. You got to give me that story. Yeah. We came in the first, we've been coming here for a while. I didn't even have a permit or anything. Okay. For a while, like, like multiple times. Okay. Gotcha. Okay. I've been coming here for like a month. This guy was coming by in a Jeep. Okay. He had a, um, he had a kill in the back of his truck. He had a what in the back? He had a bird in the back of his truck. Oh, a dead bird. Okay. So we came in now together. We was hunting for the Gator, but I thought we could have done that. But then this officer had pulled us over and he told us that we couldn't hunt the Gator. Okay. Which was just, he was just unaware. Where about did the guy stop you with the bird or with the kill that he had? This was like a couple, maybe about two miles back, maybe. So closer? Because he told us. Closer towards the entrance? Yeah, closer towards the entrance. And what, what, what did he look like? Was he male, female? That was a male guy. White male, black male? I think he had another white male. Okay. He had another white male in the car with him. And what was he driving? A Jeep. What color? Uh, I think it was like kind of a grayish type of Jeep. Okay. Yeah. He's the one that stopped us and spoke to us. So what were you driving? Were you on this, this road? We was on this road. And then he saw you and yeah, we was coming like this. Okay. And then, and then the bird that you have now, where did that come from? We got that bird. Uh, we got that bird from the guy. We got the gator ourselves. Okay. So, so the bird, the guy gave you the bird at the time that you interacted with him. Okay. We got the gator ourselves. Okay. So who shot the gator? Um, I think that was the driver. Yeah. Okay. Um, there's multiple shots. Did more than one person shoot the gator or was it all the same individual who did the initial shot then said with the long gun, the 22. And then once you got to it, you obviously it was still alive. So then, then who fired the second shots? I had fired a shot also. Okay. With the handgun or with the long gun? And which one is yours? The Smith and Wesson. Okay. And then what about, did any, did, was it just you two or did the other individual fire into the gator as well? Yeah, we fired, but we were hunting other animals that we didn't get it. He didn't get a shot on. He didn't shoot. So just you and shot the gator then. Yes. Okay. Okay. And you use your handgun and then the 22. Yes. Okay. And the, the bird, you guys did not hunt the bird and kill the bird. No, we didn't hunt the bird. So the guy gave you the bird and he, okay. And he didn't mention anything. He, what, what, how did that thing about the Ranger was he just told us, he said the Rangers are up the road. I didn't know what that meant. Okay. And maybe then he was probably telling us that it wasn't gators, but we didn't even know. Okay. So you did have an interaction with him then. So how, cause it's just, it's a little odd, like to just someone stopped by and then they just, how did it come about to where he's like, Hey, by the way, do you want this bird? Like, how did that happen? Explain that to me. I think Cassette had said something to him because at the time we were putting the gator in the back of the vehicle. Oh, so he saw you guys rode in the gator. Exactly. Okay. So you guys were driving and you saw the gator like off the road type of thing. Yeah. We got him off the road. Okay. Okay. You got him on the rope first or you shot him first? No, we fired first. Okay. And they used the rope to get him. Okay. And he saw you guys doing that. Exactly. And then he's like, Oh, Hey, by the way, I have a bird. And he just gave you a bird. Okay. I appreciate it, man. If I have any more questions, what I'll do is I'll put you in my truck just so you're comfortable in the AC over there. You can relax in here for a minute. I'm going to go talk to him. Same thing. I asked him, um, kind of start from the time you guys got in here to the time you guys came in possession of the animals to now kind of give me the story of the day. Where'd you guys come in? Did you come from the entrance here or right behind you guys? Yeah. Okay. So then, then what happened? How did you get the bird or not? You, how did the three of you? Cause there's a guy with a Jeep. Okay. Kill this. He said he want to sell it. And when I look at my pocket, I'll say how much he told me 200 bucks. Okay. Did you pay him for it? No. He gave it to you for free. He said, take it. He said to break it to the front. There's a small house. They're going to give you money for it. Okay. So he was driving the whole time. Okay. And how long have you known? We working together. Maybe a year. So that was the, the bird or the gator the guy gave you? He gave you both the bird and the gator? Yeah. Cause he told me he's going to sell the gator for 200 bucks. When I look at my pocket, I don't even have $20 in it. Okay. So do you know how he got the gator? The guy that, so it was a guy in a Jeep, right? He got in the Jeep. What color Jeep a black Jeep. What? Um, and how many people were in the Jeep? A girl and a guy. Was it on this road or was it off the road and like on a trail and a campground or where was it at? It was on this road. So how did that, like, how, why did he stop to you guys? Cause most people would like, if you're driving by, you don't stop. So were you guys stopped then? And then he pulled up to you? He put, he dropped by. Yeah. He say, I got something for us. I said, what is this? He said the gator, he want to sell it for 200 bucks because I was getting my chick. I tell them to, they don't want me to eat on the counter. Okay. So he just gave you the gator then not the bird. No, he gave the bird too. He said 50 bucks for the bird. He said no, 20 bucks for the bird, 200 for the gator. Okay. He just saw you guys stopped and then he just stopped and was like, Hey, I have something for you. Did you guys shoot the gator after he gave it to you or anything? Shooting it? No, we don't shoot. We don't shoot the gator. So there's three guns there. So nobody shot any, and there's bullet holes in the gator. Did you guys shoot the gator or the bird? No, we don't shoot the gator. We was shot it, we was shot it, but we don't shoot the gator. The guy give us the gator. So you guys did, you guys did shoot, but you didn't shoot the gator. No. I appreciate your cooperation. Give me one second. I'm gonna go talk to, uh, uh, so, so from the time you got here, give me your, give me your story. It's how you got the animals to where we're at now. Just give me the whole story. So we came in, see the, we spot the gator. So we, we spotted it was all the way over there. So we shot at it. Okay. When you say we, who's we? Me, me and who else? There's only three of you. So you shot? Yeah, I shot. And then who else? Anybody else? I know I shot. You shot with which gun did you use? You know, the, the, the longer? No, no, no. Hang up. Okay. Now what about the bird? Who shot the bird? The guy in the, in the, in the back. What's his name? And which one did he use? The long one. Okay. So was there a guy in the jeep then? Or what happened with the guy in the jeep? No. Initially you guys said something about a guy in a jeep. No, cause now we got scared now. We didn't know. I mean, he was like, man, y'all gonna, like we, we didn't know what, what's the problem. Right. What we was in. So now I gotta explain to you. I'm not, like I said, I'm not charging with a felony. You gotta, you gotta get yourself educated. You know, there's nothing wrong with target practicing, but to killing something just to kill. Nope. There's a lot of wrong with that. There's a lot of wrong to just killing just for just, just for the hell of it. You know, I talked to the two of them and their stories match up almost perfectly. You're the story is the only one that's completely different. So here's what's going to happen. All three of you are going to get tickets with a court date. No matter what you tell me right now, you're going to at the very minimum, get that. If you decide to, I'm going to give you a chance to retell your story. If your story doesn't align with the other two stories, you and only you are actually going to take a ride to gun club jail with us today instead of getting the court date. I was, I was eat because I still have my half of food. Okay. So, so how did you guys get the gator and how did you guys get the bird? The jeep guy, the jeep guy, jeep guy, give it to us. Okay. If they know. So, so let me, let me, let me tell you this. Let me, let me tell you this. Both, both of them, not one of them, both of them, there's no jeep guy according to them too. Maybe you're the only one telling the truth, but it's more likely that there are two since they are separated. There's a jeep guy. They're so they said that the jeep guy stopped by, but he never gave you anything is what I'm hearing from both of them. So, so hold on now. Let me, hold on. Stop, stop talking. So both of them have told me that the jeep guy did not give you anything. Is that true or untrue? Just, just tell me the truth. I was, I was listening. I was by the water. I'm going to ask you the question one more time. Listen, listen, listen to me. Listen, relax. Maybe did not, but for me, cause I see the jeep talking to us. Did he take a gator and a bird out of his jeep and then give it to you guys? Yes or no? Yes. So the guy in the jeep took a gator, took a gator out of his jeep, took a bird out of his jeep and then gave it to you guys. Is that correct? Yeah. You're sure? Yes. So both of them are lying to me. So listen, listen to this. So, so what you're telling me is you're in the truck with them and you did not, you did not see them. You did not, you did not hear them shoot a gator and then catch the gator? They were shooting, they were shooting. Right. I told you they were shooting. They did that. Okay. So then why do you keep telling me the guy in the jeep gave you the gator? The story when I first talked to you about the guy in the jeep told you to buy the stuff off and you, and you checked, and you checked your wallet. Is that, was that a lie? Yes or no? No, answer the question. Yes or no? I'm putting you in handcuffs. Yes or no? Was it a lie? I thought it was a guy. It's okay. Just answer the question. Yes or no? Was it a lie? Was it a lie? Yes or no? I'm going to give you one opportunity. Yes or no? Was it a lie? I want you to understand what I'm saying. No, but was the original story that you told me, was it a lie? All right, turn around. Put your hands behind your back. Turn around, put your hands behind your back. I'm not asking about that, but the first question that I, and you're not answering, it's a yes or no. Did you lie initially on the first time about the, the guy asking you for money and the money and the jeep? Yeah. Was that a lie? No, cause it's not. Yes or no? You got to give me a chance. I'm giving you a chance. Yes or no? It takes two seconds. No, listen. Yes or no? Cause I was, I was, I was eating my food. Don't, don't talk to me anymore. I'm done with you. You don't want to answer the question? No problem. I'll take you guys to jail. No, it's not true. No, you're not. You're, you're lying. Come on, man. So this is a citation for you. This is your copy. Okay. You're being cited for taking a gator outside of season, illegal method, uh, without a permit, without a license. And, uh, also where you go, you're charged with, uh, uh, taking off the, all the bird. I just want to say thanks guys for working with us. All right. Well, thank you for your cooperation. We appreciate that a lot. I really thank you, man. What about me? You too. Okay. All right. None of the men went to jail that day, but they were all given citations for taking American alligator out of season as well as the blue Heron or whatever kind of Heron it was because they identified it differently throughout the video.
