So, we're still recording. >> You guys have um her info. Jennifer Sheffield. >> Yeah. >> Has she calmed down? >> Yeah. Do you think she's signal 20? >> Yes. >> She tells the officers she stole the diapers for her daughter. >> What's concerning me is that she said she stole the diapers because she needed them for her daughter. So I can't tell if that's real or not. >> 95 to 140 lb. So they're adult diapers. >> Yeah. But she said that her daughter can't walk or talk or anything like that. She's bed bound. Right. >> I apologize. I'm not able to get to my computer right now. Can you tell me the address on her deal? >> She's headed the wrong way. >> I know. I told her that. >> She said I was going away from y'all. >> She was right here whenever I was at She looking at me. I need some hand sanitizer. We're coming back to get the stuff. The manager that's on duty is in the store. >> Okay. Obviously, training receipt for the items. And then, um, if you guys are okay with it, we're going to do theft of the shopping part as well. It's a different statute. >> Okay. >> So, if you got a value on that, that would be helpful. >> I can look that up. I know how to look that up. >> Yeah, that would be awesome. >> Okay. All right. >> Thank you very much. >> I appreciate Does everything in there look like it belongs to the store or do you see anything that would belong to her? >> Yeah, these are definitely ours. >> Yeah. No. That's supposed to set up. >> It did. >> It did. >> It did. >> Perfect. Yeah. All she had was her uh the little fanny pack thing. >> Yeah. >> She dropped a couple things, but we grabbed her. Sorry. >> Back at the car, the woman is noticeably calmer than before. [Music] >> I have been ready. >> I ain't scared of the world. Understand that. >> They just ain't ready for me. I ain't scared for the world. I ain't scared of the world. They just ain't ready for me. And I'm, you know, >> I was ready. And y'all got me right there like this. And y'all don't care if y'all going to lose me cuz that's how y'all want to be. That's how y'all want to act. What you mean? I'm got to go in here and get whatever the [ __ ] I'm going to uh listen. They already know they don't want me. It's evident. I tried to live out there in the world and they took try to put me in jail. >> They would none of them help me. They didn't believe in me. They didn't believe that I was who I was. They kept testing me. >> The suspect is then transported to jail while officers interview the store staff. >> We out with her. So, the issue is that she has a shopping cart full of items and we don't know if that items are from here or whatever. Just want to know how you want. >> We want her trespass. That's all. We just want our items back in her trespass. >> Um I don't think she's all there. She was screaming at our pharmacist about getting meds. So >> Alpha 223 to Alpha 221 or LD3. >> We were going to walk down there and get the stuff, but we didn't know. >> We'll bring it over here. I mean, if one of you guys want to walk down there, >> gets us out of the store for a little while. >> The officers discuss possible charges, but the store manager says she only wants the items returned. and the woman trespassed. >> So, y'all don't want to p criminal charges. I just want the items back, right? >> I just want thems um so I'm here with one of the managers. They just want the items back, but they don't want to pursue criminal charges and they just want her trespass. >> A man later approaches and the manager changes her mind after being instructed by someone higher up. >> Hold on one second. >> Um if they ask, okay, press charges. Never mind. >> She says press charges. Uh trespassing >> from um higher up trespassing. >> She said if we get our stuff back then no we're lost to press charges >> stuff. So now we're going to need a tally up of all the items and stuff like that. That's what goes on so we know what's the the amount for and um training received with all the itemized things. So it's going to be like a thing and then somebody is going to have to write a statement of what happened. >> We can all saw a little bit of everything. So, I'll give you guys some uh statements and I'm going to need IDs from all you guys and um let me go grab the paperwork um and then we'll walk or somebody could walk down and grab the items. That way you can work on the itemized receipt thing and then stuff like that. >> So, this is all the >> Yeah, there's some gummy bears that she was eating throughout the store. I'm not sure if they're in there. Oh, just before right you said cuz it does bleed through. I have separate one like I said if it's definite yeah we'll go to you do with the pursuit charge. If not then you do not want to charge and then we uh somebody you want uh trespasses we'll do that. I'll bring in the trespass for me as well. >> Definitely want the trespass. >> Um so just fill out whatever phone calls you got to make for final decision. >> Okay. All right. State your full name and date of birth. >> Ezra Rutherford 1023 1995. >> All right. Ezra, you swear on the firm of state we wrote down correct to the best of your knowledge. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, what I need you to do here, it's 101. I'll sign this in a second. Give you your copy. >> So, this is the willingness to prosecute. So, right now, you're saying that you and your store manager do not wish to pursue charges. >> So, it's going to be the top line. So, what you going to do is write your name slash uh Walgreens. Okay. >> They got the items back. Fox 91. >> All right. Um I got the um let's go in here. I got that trespassing information inside. What you need to do for me is um fill out all this information here. Today's date time that we filling out is going to be no 143. State your full name and date. >> Sarah Marine darling. Uh uh Vitali, sorry. Um 21486. Sir, you swear in the firm state we worked on a string correct to the best of your knowledge. >> Yes. >> So go ahead and sign here for one name and date. >> I had fun on my ride along. But >> you did? >> Yeah. >> Who did you do right along with? >> Uh Nick, I'm the number lesson. [Music] >> Okay. I was close. >> We're almost done here. >> All right. Just a couple of things. What was your part of this? I didn't really speak to you yet. >> Yeah. No, no worries. So I'm the pharmacist on staff. So yeah, um lady just comes up, starts, you know, in front of people to the front of the lobby, starts cursing and saying, "I want my medications." So out of the blue, random, just, you know what I mean? So she hasn't checked in before. So I asked her to come to the consult window so I could see what her name is and whatnot. And so I I tried to have her identify herself. I got her date of birth. >> That one before, >> never seen her before. Yeah. Uh got her date of birth, pulled up her file. There was four old medications on her file that uh we have filled back in August. >> Okay. >> And she's saying, "I want my medications. They, you know, um they need to be filled now." And I said, "Well, we don't have active medications to fill for you." >> And she says, "I don't care. I want them now." And so forth. And so I told her that she'd have to have her doctor call them medications and that way I could fill them. I'd be happy to for her um when I get the medications from the doctor. At that point, she got agitated, starts grabbing everything on my countertop, throwing pens and and so forth and so and then she walks away. She's in the lobby kind of mumbling whatnot. She starts cursing and then she sits down and grabs people. >> Oh god. >> Which was a little bit awkward, but that's where we called it 911 because everybody was getting a little um a little bit. >> Okay. So, um just do me a favor. Raise your right hand for me. Uh state your full name and date of birth. Dimmitri Daren code 826 1994. >> Okay. Demetri, you swearing from the statement you were done as true to the best your knowledge. >> I swear. >> So just uh do me another signature >> right here. That >> Oh yes. >> I'm going to go serve her the trespass and we'll come back and give you your copy and then that's it. This right here for you know uh trespass after warning. Okay. >> Okay. Awesome. >> All right. Thank you. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. You're welcome. >> Fortunately for the woman, the manager decides once again not to pursue charges for the stolen items. I'm rolling just so >> you want to just take her to jail. They don't want to press charges >> now. They don't want to press >> They don't want to press charges. >> Oh my god. >> So instead of sitting here and sitting in the car on the side of the road and you were basically here. Okay. >> Um you could just put on there that you know you went to go you guys went to a stopper for um in reference to retail theft. So you know she >> she took over $500 worth of items from Walgreens and passed all point of sales and then paid for them. Okay. you know, as you guys go stop her, you know, and then whatever happened from there. >> The woman identified as Jennifer Sheffield was arrested after resisting deputies and fighting on the ground during the struggle. Walgreens employees confirmed the items were unpaid, but chose not to pursue theft charges, only requesting she be trespassed from the store. Jennifer was instead charged with resisting law enforcement with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer and taken to jail without further incident.
