Welcome back everyone. Today's video comes to us from Washington State and is a bit different than what we normally cover. As many of you may know, our videos typically showcase hunters or anglers who have violated some sort of fishing regulation and are dealing with a game warden. However, I think it's important to recognize that as first responders, officers do a lot more to help the public than simply writing citations. Back in December of 2025, the Pacific Northwest of the United States experienced catastrophic flooding resulting from heavy [music] rains, higher river stream flow from melting snow caps, and levey failures. According to Noah, an atmospheric river transported water vapors from the tropics towards the poles, acting like a narrow band of moisture moving like rivers in the sky. Several areas of Washington state experienced more than 10 in of rainfall in less than a 72-hour period. A rescue crew received word that two individuals and a dog were stranded in the Hamilton, Washington area due to the flood waters. Even if you just sit in the current here. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Can you drop that? Yeah. Excellent. Even if it we just lean right up on the >> Yep. That blue line off. >> Uh do you want do you have a radio? >> I don't have a radio on me. No. >> Do you? >> No. I've got >> I got my phone. >> Okay. Do you want Pat and I just to go check? Yeah, I thought about just shutting that off. >> Yeah. >> And we could just nose it up. We could then even manually turn it around cuz it's going to jettison us out this road >> with the current. I'll take this one. Yeah. No wonder why she wants out. It's almost like we want the raft over here, >> especially if you have a patient. >> Yeah. Let's see. Should we get to her? Kind of just assess like what kind of shape she's in or you think just definitely rat. >> I just worry about that deep flow there with her if she's on her. I mean, I don't know how old she is either. So she's like the white mailbox down there. >> Oh, holy crap. >> Like look at the river boiling over. >> Maybe it wouldn't be. This isn't bad. I guess maybe. But God, the raft would be nice. Too deep. >> She has a dog. >> Shoot. I didn't know she had a dog. >> Yeah. Nine. There's That's hers. Yeah. Look at it boiling over the bank right there. Right in front of her house. Oh, there's a hole. Wonder if she's in her truck. It's running. She's in it. Or somebody is. >> We didn't even see you. >> That's okay. >> Yeah. Stay warm. >> How we doing? >> Did you walk in here? >> Uh, well, we got a boat to a certain spot and then >> uh we're not going to go anywhere here for a hot second. What do you think? Raft or no raft? Um, >> possible. >> How do you guys feel about waiting for water about this high? >> It's fine. >> It' be about a dog. >> It'd be about up to It was up to about my knee. >> Okay. Do you have any spare clothes? And would you like to grab them? >> I have uh we have our bags somewhere. >> Yeah. Do you uh >> he'll be he'll be easy to carry. And then we got a boat on the other >> These are the bags right here. >> Okay. >> Okay. And you guys have life jackets on? >> Yeah. >> Yes. When do you guys feel comfortable carrying the dog? >> Yeah. >> Great. I can carry a bag. >> I can carry a bag, too. >> Let's uh let's just reach out to Justin. Say we're going to try to walk him out. >> Okay. >> We have kayaks over there. >> Yeah. >> That's not >> If you want to put the dog in a kayak, that's fine. >> You can tie it off to the fence when we get to the boat. >> Yeah. >> That might not be a We could We could walk over there and grab it for you. >> It's up to you. >> Let me check. See if I can handle it. I can take him. >> We can take terms with him then. >> Okay. >> We are in contact going to walk out to the boat. >> I think that I could even uh that for the bags and uh the dog would be great. >> So, what do you think? >> I kind of think we you could even put the bags in there. >> I was thinking the same thing. >> Yeah, the bags and the dog. And then we'll just >> we can steady it. Yeah. >> And then you guys can just worry about yourselves. >> Okay. So, they're going to put the bags and the dog on the >> Okay. >> On the Come on, Bubby. I know, baby. I know, Bubby. I know, Bubby. >> Maybe you want to put that one on the back. She's You got him. >> Here, if we get it in the water a little bit. >> Yeah. >> Just ahead of that. There we go. No, >> you pretty friendly. >> Yes. >> Oh, he is very loves people. >> There we go. >> Me making sure you don't fall. Okay, >> Bubble. It's okay. >> Watch out, Bubble. Watch out, Bubble. said it's okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I know. I'm sure a lot of other people stuff. >> Uh we've got another team that's on a call and then I heard we have another one somewhere close by here. We're going to turn this into the current. this way a little more so you'll come out of the >> Oh, that's here. If you You're doing good. Just keep closing it. There's less current the closer you stay to me. You doing okay? >> A little wobbly for a second. >> Yeah. It's going to get shallower here. here. Let's We're going to let her catch up. We'll just take a break here for a second. >> You okay? >> We can take a break. We can just stand here for a minute. The water's strong. >> It wants to push you around. Yeah. >> All right. >> Like it's going to get shallower to that 50. >> Yeah, it will get shallower. I got him. It's okay. It's okay. >> Getting shallower. Hitting us in the shin now. You want to take a break real quick? >> Yeah. >> Yep. We'll just stand. We'll just hang out here. Your legs are probably cold, but >> Yeah. I'm sorry. >> Do we want to? We could set your bag down. >> Maybe back if it's bothering your shoulder at all. >> And I can't imagine this happening. >> Yeah. It's hard to believe it. I mean, it's over the bank right there. It's It's going all right. Nice and easy. Just going to go nice and slow through this current. do short steps. I'm only going about one foot in front of the other. >> It's gonna calm down here as well now. It's gonna There's going to be less current. Josh, what do you think about We can just tie the kayak off here and we'll take things one at a time to the boat instead of a big caravan through this fast water just if we just don't want to lose our footing. It's okay. It's okay. >> I got you, buddy. >> He's like, it don't feel okay. >> I got you. >> He's like, there's water everywhere, Dad. >> You ready? >> Okay. I'll have Let's have you stay and we'll get >> Shannon over first and then we'll come back for you. >> Okay. >> Oh, that's not good. >> Okay. >> Are you okay? >> Awesome. It's not super sturdy there, but unless we like really pull on it, it's not going to go anywhere. >> Let's have you at the point and then I'll grab we'll both grab the ps right here. You just use that right here. A lot easier. >> So now you're going to take your feet and we're not going to really like pick them up high. So we're just going to keep our feet kind of like angled like this and we're just going to nose across that fast water. These types of deals are just you just take your time and go slow and then you don't lose your footing. What's what's nice is we're on a hard road. >> Yeah. >> Like if we were in a field or something, you wouldn't know where the next hole was coming. Doing okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. They're pretty shallow here. We can kind of walk normal now. I'm thinking Josh, we'll just have have her hang out on that dry patch >> and then we'll kind of get everybody there and then figure out the boat. >> Okay. So, yeah, just hang out here. We'll get >> Okay. >> What was his name again? John. >> John. We'll get John over then the stuff. >> Yeah. Just go slow. We don't need her to slip. Walking on the road's nice. >> I wonder if I take the dog and then you just kind of let John be behind you in the break. >> Do that. >> Was it Wilson? >> Yes. >> Wilson, my man. Come here, big buddy. >> Oh yeah. Come here, big buddy. Oh yeah. Just those short steps in this high in the fast current. It just helps if you just don't take a big step. >> Oh, that's a good dog. >> That's a good dog. >> All right, we'll grab the stuff and then we'll figure out getting the boat turned around. I >> I can imagine there's some uh it's pretty dirty would be my guess even. It's not that far down there. I was thought about just walking it back to their yard instead of leaving it on the street here, but they're probably not worried about it. But sounded like they were new to the area. >> Yeah. Might just go throw it on the boat. Good idea. >> Moving crew. >> Yeah. >> I'm going to run their kayak back to their house real quick. >> Oh, okay. >> And then Yeah. So, I'll be right back. Might be deepest right here on the left. A little calmer, but we're just going to get the boat turned around. Okay. And then like where the other three guys are over there, we've got trucks right there. And then we'll be on our way. Now, the body camera was not active when the mail was loaded onto the vessel, but rest assured, both individuals were successfully transported to safety. There we go. A little more water right here. Swing that tail end in this way. >> Yeah, there's more water kind There's a little I think there's >> I think there's a little more anyway. >> Might only be a couple inches, but >> bring it up a little bit right now. >> You able to pivot it there, Josh? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we'll probably let you on the bow as soon as the bow off. >> Yeah, I can do that. >> You want to spin it all the way around? Yeah. So then you're just pointed out here. >> Okay. >> That and the current's going to take us here. >> Let me know. >> Not going to go super fast. What we'll do is when we get that current, we'll nose into it >> and we'll jog our way across. Just holler at me if you want any directional. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Just going to push on the gas a little. There we go. Just a little bit of water. >> Wow. >> Yeah. We were stooping and we're watching the river and it ended up flooding out here first. >> Oh, out here. Yeah. It it then it came over somewhere else upstream and flooded the flooded out the valley. Yeah. I understand that. Yeah, >> perfect. Nice handle right there. >> Got it. >> Okay. >> So, we got a second call after this. Listen, we just take two people with us now cuz we're going to need more people over there for that next call. >> Yeah. Oh, I don't know of the new call. So, >> okay. Yeah. >> Why don't I grab two? >> You guys want to go? >> Yeah. >> Hop in. >> You just got to bring >> Yeah. drop them and then >> Okay. >> I'll leave the three of you over there. >> Okay. >> And then you can maybe go down the road and scout a little bit more. >> Yeah. >> Where is our What's the address? With one family and their absolute unit of a dog safe, it was time for rescue crews to get back to work. Alongside the local first responders, 300 Washington National Guard members were deployed to assist with the rescues. While property damage was extensive, the rescue crews managed to save many lives in the process. Unfortunately, several days later, a 33-year-old male was found completely submerged inside of a car and was pronounced dead on scene. Anyways, that's it for today's video. I genuinely hope you enjoyed seeing something a little bit different.
