Get on the ground for what you need. >> ENJOY YOUR NEW BOYFRIEND OR WHATEVER THE YOU'RE DOING. DROVE THE WHOLEING DAY TO COME SEE YOU CUZ I LOVE YOU. >> ONLY Cams provides body cam footage for transparency and educational purposes only. Imagine finding out your ex is driving over 1,000 m just to kill you. That was the reality for one woman in Flaggler County after receiving threats from her ex-boyfriend of several years. The suspect, later identified as Aaron theer, allegedly drove from Connecticut, threatening her over suspicions of cheating. >> Hello. >> Are you the one who call? >> Okay. Um, they said something about a threat. Someone had threatened you. What's going on? >> Um, I'm kind of getting out of an abusive relationship. My boyfriend is up in Connecticut right now. Um, but we're in the process of like a breakup and now he's threatening. He's going to come down here. He's going to kill me >> and he's a dangerous person. So, I'm just want to make sure I do something. >> What has he Like? You said he's danger. I don't know who he is or what he's done in the past. >> I understand. He's me before. He's been physically abusive before. So, he's strangled me, choked me. So, I'm afraid of him. >> Okay. Was he ever arrested or did you report any of those? No. Okay. Gotcha. Has he ever used a firearm against you or does he own a firearm? >> No. >> Not that you know of. Okay. >> I do. >> Okay. Do you live here by yourself? >> I'm here with my daughter. This is his house. >> It's his father's house. His father is actually a missing man. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, this is Did Did he get like custody of the house? >> He's conservator of the property. >> Gotcha. Come here. >> He's working up in in Connecticut right now. Um, but he's telling me he's coming here. I don't know when. I don't know. He just says, "I'm coming. I'll see you soon." >> Okay. >> I have his message. >> Is was this on Facebook or was this a text message? A text message. Okay. Do you mind if we take a look at the text message here? >> Is is how much of the conversation started today? >> Right here. This is >> right here. >> I broke down in the car today and so I had to >> It's just a whole mess of a Um, so is his are yours the blue or I'm the blue. Okay. Okay. What was he doing up in Connecticut? >> Working. He has a job up there. He He travels for work. >> Okay. >> So he kind of thinks you're cheating on him with this dusty dude is what it sounds like. Whoever that is. >> Not He thinks I'm cheating with everybody. >> It's just like and now it's Dusty. But um I broke down in in this truck this morning and I had to call his friend. His friend lives down the road >> and so he out over that. He's just extremely jealous. >> How long have you guys been together for? >> Since we were 13. I'm 40 now. So, >> have you guys like dated each other or like lived together as a couple or? >> Yes. >> Yes. Since we're 18. We have two daughters together. >> Okay. So, you guys actually live together? >> Yes. >> Have you ever been married? >> No. >> Okay. >> Are you wanting to pursue charges against him for written threats to do serious bodily injury or kill? >> I don't know what the best thing to do is. I don't know. Um, there's cameras on the house. Can we just go over here? >> Oh, yeah. Does he have access to them? Okay. Okay. Okay. It does. There's nothing pointing up there. Okay. >> So, here's a a couple things. Um, obviously this is a domestic violence situation because you guys have kids in common, have resided in the past as a family, even if he hadn't, because you have kids, it's domestic violence. Um, usually with domestic violence incidents, you really don't have a choice if a crime is committed. It's not whether if you want to pursue charge, not the state picks it up. But there is a loophole with the written threats to kill part of the statute, which is a third degree felony. And he could say over the phone and not be close to you and have an immediate, you know, like um way to do it, he could say it, but once it's wrote, whether it's text message, a letter, whatever, it makes it a thirdderee felony. >> Can I press charges and >> Well, at the courthouse, they just they will do the injunction. I would be the one if you wish to pursue charges to do that. The courthouse does the injunctions. So, no, you couldn't go down there and do like both of them down there. It would um if you're not sure what you want to do at this particular point in time. >> No, I think I want to press charges. I'm afraid of him and it's something this has gone on too long. >> So, the thing is absent of an injunction saying that he can't be here, we cannot tell him he can't be here. But if you go to the courthouse and the sooner you go the better. go down there today and if a judge grants that injunction, we're going to have that injunction on hand. And if he shows up, then we serve it to him. And if the judge says he can't be here, then we're going to scared. It would be too late if he comes here. So, I probably have to get out of here. >> Okay. We got the domestic violence shelter, too. Like I said, that's that's an option. They take children, so it's not like >> Yeah, I have animals. >> I know. Last time we did ask if they someone could bring an animal. They told us that. >> I know they won't let you. >> Yeah. Has he ever threatened in the past to kill you? >> Yes, >> he has. Okay. >> And was this like verbally or written? >> Verbally. >> Verbally. >> And was this like during an argument or like a physical argument? >> Yeah. >> Hey, can you put it on speaker phone and just Hey, >> yeah, just ask him where >> Just ask him where he's at. Hold on. Let me turn my radio down. >> Just see if we can get a location of where he's at. Hello. >> Who the are you with and who's in my pocket? >> Nobody. >> Who the walked out my driveway to get in a car? To the right. What do you mean nobody? Who the is that? Who are you in the car with right now? >> I'm not in a car with anybody. >> Well, who the in the car? I'm in front of the house. >> I don't know what you're talking about. >> Where are you right now? >> Oh, Stace. I'm murder your ass. Who the is that? I see you. I can see you b >> Stacy. >> I just I don't know what to say. I'm I don't know what to say. I can't stand the phone. >> Can he really see us? >> Yes. >> I'm going to call What do I do? What am I supposed to >> Sorry through 12. We're going to get you help. All right. 1069 up here. The subject's on the phone with her. We don't know his location and he just told her over the phone that he was going to signal 5. So I need another unit. Why I do this 107? And the female says she's uh afraid that this is her boyfriend. She's been with her for 13 years. Live together. Have two kids in common. There's a 16-year-old here. The other's 21, doesn't live here. She showed me a text message. He lives in or he works in Connecticut, but um lives like at this house. So we'll come back here, you know, then go back to Connecticut. So the thing is is we don't know where he is right now. And he texted her. I read the text message said that he was going to like kill her. Uh explain the reason why you >> How is he still calling me? I blocked it. [bell] >> I'm coming down today now. [music] Make sure like there's not a tracking device on your phone that he can like >> um I don't know. I'd have to go through it. >> That's Danielle. That's my daughter. [bell] >> Hello. that he's wet. He said, "Dad is dying." Um, just turn off your phone, hun. Just turn off your phone. He's going to say whatever he's going to say cuz he's he knows something's happening. So, just turn your phone off. It's okay. >> We'll have two units. >> Primary switch to te. >> Where she at?
