Officers responded to a tense domestic disturbance between Zach and his partner Samantha. When police arrived, Zach explained he had locked himself inside a bedroom barricading the door with a chair after an argument that turned violent. He showed officers bruises and swelling on his head saying Samantha had hit him several times and even tried to strangle him in the past. He also reported that two of his firearms were missing both with deep sentimental value. Soon after officers located Samantha nearby. She admitted taking one of the guns claiming she only wanted to keep it away from him. But when questioned further, she admitted biting and hitting Zach during the fight. Due to visible injuries and her statements, officers had no choice but to arrest Samantha for domestic battery. She was taken into custody while police secured the weapons for evidence.
