A 71-year-old woman was brutally attacked, kicked, and slapped, and left fighting for her life, allegedly by her 18-year-old relative inside their home. Deputies say when they arrived at a home on Big Rock Township, Kain County, Illinois, they found the aftermath of the brutal assault on the 71-year-old woman. When officers tried to take the 18-year-old into custody, he turned violent, injuring one deputy and biting another before they finally restrained him. He faces several charges, including first-degree attempted murder, aggravated domestic battery, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest.
