how you doing sir I'm doing good good my name's investigator stard I'm in the Atlanta Police Department uh Special Victims Unit yeah um have you got any identification on you turn around oh 5 exra I got one running stop stop running stop running sir stop running why are you running you R chasing me you chasing me I'm chasing you know what what's going on doing whoa whoa hey most of the time cops get caught out to the crime scene but today we take a look at cops who were simply in the right place at the right time they listen to their intuition and managed to NAB their suspect here are five times cops had perfect timing down on the ground now it's not me sir I got to get get on the ground get on the ground now do not move on April 28th 2024 a Seattle police officer casually strolled into a pharmacy only to notice two individuals heading out carrying a cash register he immediately realized that these two were not there for equipment [Music] maintenance whoa whoa hey hey put that down yes hands behind your back hands behind your back right now take a backpack off when a cop approaches someone and the first thing out of their mouth is we ain't doing nothing you know that person's lying as for our suspect as soon as he realized the officer was about to arrest them he made a run for it with the officer right in his tracks to Frank uh 9451 uh he's hiding I can see him from where I'm at if I can get a unit to my location show me your ants that's not me down on the ground now that's not me sir see Frank he's not down on the ground now it's not me sir going get pepp sh the male suspect suddenly pushed the officer away and ran nothing too surprising there however when the female was searched the officers found she was carrying a gun this meant the male was also likely armed and dangerous other officers soon joined in the Chase and he was found soon in a nearby parking lot get Polie get on the ground get on the ground get on the ground me looking for get get out the ground now do not move stop turn around your stomach turn around I want to see if we can do a field it wasn't even me it's always funny when the suspect tries to run away with his pants falling down to his knees I know criminals don't have a dress code but they should know better than to run from the cops in baggy clothes in any case the 20-year-old female was booked into King County jail for robbery and unlawful possession of a pistol the male was charged with obstructing a law enforcement officer and he had a prior domestic violence charge our next case happened on January 2nd 2023 in neille this time officers were called in about a couple shoplifting using their baby's car seat the cops decided to time the arrest perfectly instead of confronting them in the store they waited for the couple to step outside hey guys yeah how's it going today you guys just doing some shopping yeah yeah okay is there any items that you didn't pay for no no no okay can you just hold on just one second yeah the 7-Eleven called what did we do okay you guys have anything you didn't pay for no okay let's go back inside right back here what did we do how you doing hey I'm officer Anderson I just PA for my stuff yeah we got to complaint we got to go talk to him let's go inside and we'll work this out okay bro this is weird bro I got to Uber here wait I know let's go we'll get this sorted out instead of arresting the two suspects inside the store the cops decided to wait for them to walk out of the store without paying that way they have a clear case of shoplifting and the suspects can't claim they were going to pay for it Go just wait right here where the items one and in the back we see in the back place oh damn BM you supp to gra pay for that is that that's a fake child no that's no that's my child she want trying to Ste this bro just keep the items right here no no put them right here right here just set them over here right down on the ground like we we F to um blow this up or something no what is there any other items no man that's it we don't have I don't have nothing I just bought this can you turn out your pocket watch man I'm not going to sit here and lie to you man this guy's straight out of a comic book and while their child's not fake his surprised reaction definitely was even if we disregard the fact that he's not sitting but standing we can't disregard the fact that everything he said so far was a lie I didn't even know my did I you was steing b m keep be honest hey Miss what's your name what's your you have your ID on email yeah wait no it's it's at the room in my H room well why why is you taking my name from d what did I do you saw you put items in the in there you saw me put items in there yeah what is you talking about what's your phone either way I got to get your information come over here B man why is ask you're involved I need your name I'm involved in what you're here with her it's not going to be a big deal we sort this out okay yes is she tight on money like are you guys hurting no no how come she would take stuff though I don't I honestly don't know I have seen this boss man I didn't even know she was just doing this ask him I'm up here get picking out my items all right what's your phone number the suspect can play stupid for only so long this guy said he didn't have a phone number but he was carrying two phones with him supposedly the phones weren't paid for so he couldn't use them sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me do you believe a thing he's saying no phone number no where you guys live at at a hotel what hotel what's the name of it in town in town in town Su sweet something like that in town sweets yes in what town right here you got give me a fake name right no why would I give you a fake name I just making sure why do you why you discriminate why take the ski mask out like what it is boss man ask my heart for money I here CU we're hurt we were only here cuz we got called there's no record coming back to your name there's no record coming back from it's not coming back to anything what has it not coming back anything I don't know naturally the officer figured that the suspect had given him a fake name to prove him wrong the young man asked if he could use the cop's phone to call his mom that's not usually what you'd expect from a supposed criminal could it be that he was innocent after all have you ever been arrested no never been arrested no okay actually this time what do you have an Illinois ID or driver's license I just asked him that question he just asked me that three times like trying to kiss me up I'm like I'm lying what address did you use for your ID what time that you used to live in before you were homeless I have to be able to find out who you are you're not free to go I just asked you I I told you I have sies B man I just asked you can I call my mom real fast so she can hold me out right now I don't know what's going on I'm completely I don't have a phone that you can use what's your mom's phone number you just said you ain't got no phone but I can't call I'll call her what do you want me to ask her what the what do you want me to ask her suddenly the suspect goes silent he probably didn't see that one coming and now he acts like he doesn't want to call his mom anymore and again starts alleging he's being discriminated against right now I don't like how you sit here discriminating right now I'm not discriminating I'm only here cuz I was called hey just go back to this okay you got call yeah I get that but he he he totally discriminated I'm sitting here being polite I I just walked out to him standing next to my Uber trying to like what the hell we're not being just we do have both you guys in handcuffs right now easily okay we're trying to work through this need to be to confirm who you are I just ask you can I call my M I actually have SE I'm not lying to you sir I live the hospital gra my phone and we call somebody and they send a photo of your ID to turn Who You Are okay Don tell nice to meet you Don in a stroke of Genius this cop realized that the hospital tag the suspect keeps showing happens to have his name on it now he's able to get his real name and check things with the dispatcher why didn't you give me that name the first time boss man I I literally just got out the hospital I'm not in my right State now I'm not lieing to you well you could have looked at your rest I'm not I just thought about this right now when I just told you just I tell you I just got M hital what's your middle name why is you being so tell can I talk to somebody else because he's being so like bro we know right nows father I didn't steal nothing out of store y'all not making sense right now but you're with her right this is my baby mom right I I she just even told you I didn't know she was requested everybody involved and you gave me a fake name I didn't mean to give you a fake name honest God truth do my name come back for a warrant I don't care about you warning my name during all this the female suspect seemed awfully quiet since her boyfriend threw her under the bus claiming he had no idea she was stealing she had good reason to be upset or being afraid of going to jail but as it turned out there was more to this story than we previously thought all right miss you got a warrant so we're waiting on okay do you want to give uh child Dad here is that okay with you what she going in yeah 575 bucks 570 to get out 575 you have some money that you can give her anything not right now are you able to bond her out tonight or all right let's go outside we going this the cops here are pretty kind they allow the young woman to step outside so her arrest wouldn't be made into a spectacle with all this going on the store clerk calculated the value of the stolen goods at $575 in addition to obstructing an officer in shoplifting the woman also had an outstanding warrant from a different County the boyfriend just got sided so it's up to him to take care of the baby meanwhile in Atlanta cops are taken on a high-speed chase on foot someone had stolen nearly $300 from a register at a local shopping center they swiftly responded to the scene and interviewed the victim okay hold on they're talking to me right now so I'm going to I'll call you back how you doing man all I'm good so $279 so we said that's the only thing that's missing correct yeah that's the only thing usually when I come in the alarm beeps so be be you know that we have but it doesn't so that it beat I got you let me um take a picture of this quick the officer checked out the surveillance footage noting the suspect had a distinctive sweatshirt just minutes later another officer noticed a man that perfectly fit that description walking on a different floor of the same shopping center he appeared to be holding a fistful of cash how you doing sir I'm doing good good my name's investigator stard I'm in the Atlanta Police Department uh Special Victims Unit yeah um have you got any identification on you like what huh like what do you have any identification on you sir okay I see you have a lot of cash in your hand where'd you get all that money from no this is one of my friends uh Liv up at the street up there lives up the street up there yeah okay can you do me a favor can you take your uh your mail black shirt yellow pants yellow shorts please stop stop police watching cops try to run with all that equipment is just about as funny as criminals running in baggy pants but the cops of course have no choice in the matter and even though the officers often run out of steam props to this cop for not giving up he's running to the back of the building ready in the back of the [Music] building was running up to Publix I'll be just on the left of Publix police [Music] stop he right in front of the Publix please stop he's running inside the Publix the the officer was pretty determined the only time he stopped was to ask people if they saw the suspect then he went right back to running he eventually ended up at a Public's grocery store at first it looked like he might have lost the suspect where' he go where' to go we're inside the Publix do you have negative we're looking for him in the meantime another officer entered the store and thankfully a witness was willing to help him out and he pointed to the exact spot where the suspect was hiding get on the ground get on the ground get on the ground hand behind your back hand behind your back got it what's up man thanks get up get up need to run like that from me man need to run like that from me the suspect was later identified as 22-year-old Benny brathe despite being arrested he seemed to be in good spirits and showed no ill will towards the police officer who apprehended him they even engaged in some friendly chitchat you're faster than you look I couldn't keep up with you dog I'm sorry I I don't do police though you don't do police I Benny was taken to the fton county jail charged with second deegree burglary and MISD demeer willful obstruction of a police officer next we have a police officer who saw a suspicious man leaving a store with a car full of goods following his intuition he decided to detain the man and further question him little did he know that in just a few seconds things were about to
