But officers confirmed there were active warrants in his name. As they detained him, they also questioned the woman driving the truck. She claimed she didn't steal anything, but Walmart identified her, too. When police searched the rental truck, they didn't just find Walmart bags. They also discovered two loaded firearms, including a Ruger 9mm pistol and a .22 rifle. Both suspects were taken into custody, turning a simple shoplifting call into a major arrest involving weapons.
