test a man's character you should give him power today law enforcement officers have the power to put people in jail and even take their lives so every single day thousands of cops are put to the test in this video we take a look at the ones who failed that test horribly there are some graphic situations ahead so viewer discretion is advised what are you doing my in May 2018 a video surfaced from a beach in Wildwood New Jersey and instantly went viral causing a public uproar the footage showed two rookie officers tackling a 20-year-old woman to the ground and then punching her in the face several times to appease the public the body cam video from one of the officers involved was released by the police chief cool do me a favor take a deep breath and blow into that all right all right do me a favor try one more time deep breath don't put it don't go too so far in is there a Ser problem your business the reason these officers approached the woman was that she had a container with alcohol supposedly it belonged to her on but she was nowhere to be seen the officers were naturally suspicious even though the woman was adamant about not drinking anything all right where's your an at you have a phone number how old I know that didn't come out positive I didn't take a drink of anything so all right all right take deep breath keep BL keep going keep going keep going all right y issue of the alcohol being there since the aunt wasn't present they wanted the young woman to pour the alcohol out before they left if only things were that simple how you going to let us go we didn't disagreed and then she refused to give them her last name this refusal started to trigger these young and inexperienced cops and the woman was not done yet yeah you're not cooperating yeah you're I the officers jumped the gun on this one yes the suspect didn't comply she wanted to get away and then she even resisted but still they could have put more effort into resolving this peacefully instead doesn't matter you're not allowed to hit me like that you're not allow to hit me and CH me like that I didn't anything according to the officers the suspect kicked one of them prompting him to punch her in the head several times even though she did fight them and eventually even spit at the officer punching a woman in the head while you're kneeling on her could certainly be seen as an excessive use of force even wrong I wasn't drinking anything just smell [Music] it I can't believe you did that get off of me don't stare unless you're going to help I think we can all agree that the woman was a disaster yet that doesn't change the fact that the two officers used brutal force since they were Class 2 officers meaning that they were seasonally hired to patol the beach it's no wonder they lack the training and experience to deal with high stake situations like this listen to me listen to me now the time to argue this okay number one you got a baby L face though yeah well she tried kicking us so that's it the suspect was charged with two counts of aggravated assault throwing bodily fluids in the third degree resisting arrest in the third degree disorderly conduct and obstruction of Justice however most of the charges were dropped after the woman pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct she then sued the city for excessive use of force and fabricating evidence the city settled and paid her $325,000 one of the biggest problems with law enforcement is the unjustified use of force and sometimes that force can even be deadly in our next clip we see two sheriff's deputies respond to a school parking lot after a man was reported trying to open car doors and acting erratically the suspect was later identified as 32-year-old Richard Ward 39 I guess he's going to be in the back seat of white Lexus it's going to be Colorado Charles Idol William 976 what's going on Wow call CL for me just looking for my little brother huh absolutely cool yeah just looking for my us so I pulling him out I'm going to start taking pictures before everything there's a shot in the throat in the chest Ward didn't have any weapons on him the P he took was prescribed medication for anxiety this was a blunder of epic proportions and it was all caused by the inexperienced Deputy starting with his initial approach the argumentative attitude yanking an anxious person out of a car for popping a pill and then shooting him nothing this Deputy did in this situation was correct the family filed a civil lawsuit in federal court but the deputies were clear of all wrongdoing while some might argue that the deputy was justified in shooting warant these next two deputies did something much more stupid it all began when the Sheriff's Office received multiple calls about someone driving a car and Hawking his horn at 3:00 in the morning but the last call was about a car being stolen my car back I've been asking all night can I get my car back like I don't care about the argument I don't care about I don't even know what the argument is about I just want my car I don't want to deal with any thing I know anytime we get into it whether I'm right or wrong I he puts his hands on me or he threatens to put his hands on me it gets very violent there he is in your car or walking up walking the final call of the evening came from the young lady you just saw she told the officers her boyfriend 22-year-old Maris Jackson stole her car and then sent her threatening text messages in one of the images he sent the deputy saw something that looked like a silencer for a firearm so they decided to proceed with Extreme Caution Pat him down please what that Pat him down why I'm getting patted down for do you have any weapons on you no okay why I'm getting patted down for because you're getting patted down why do you have any weapons on you no I don't have no weapons on me so what's your side I ain't got no side I ain't got whatever she said is what it is so young woman was understandably afraid of this man first they consult the sobbing ex-girlfriend what do you want to do how want my car I think it's at your mom's house is what he's saying how did he get here if it's at my mom house can you call your mom to see if the car's there over is my car at the house what is my car at the house I have the police here at shik's house to get my car the suspect said he left her car at her mom's place which turned out to be a lie most likely he drove it and left it somewhere nearby so Sergeant Beth Davis asked her colleagues to detain the suspect until they could figure out what was going on at some point during the investigation they started getting worried about the suspect having a firearm if he had the firearm would he leave it in your car no he would leave it in his own car he leave it in his own car if there was any weapon it'd be in his car not in my right right when he sent you the picture that we're looking at that we can't figure out what it is is I think it's I what do you think that is I don't know I really don't I don't know what that piece is cuz that's not ordinarily there right does he have any anything on the firearm like any aftermarket silencer mhm that's what that is the cops were concerned about the possibility that he still had the firearm so even though they'd already searched him and found nothing officer he heard a loud pop he thought the suspect must have pulled out a concealed weapon and started shooting at them after seeing her partner fire at the vehicle Deputy Beth unloaded her weapon as well now shooting there was no other shooter visible anywhere if the suspect shot from the car wouldn't that have shattered the window first how did he get out of the handcuffs is it possible that Deputy revealed that there was no gun in the car the investigation concluded that an acorn must have fallen from a tree and hit the car roof creating a popping noise even before the investigation ended Hernandez decided to quit his job and rightfully so because nobody wants a cop like this roaming the streets as we just witnessed sometimes the rookie deputies are not capable of acting rationally under stress but other times they're the ones in danger in 2021 officers responded to reports of a very unstable male suspect roaming a residence in LaFarge Wisconsin we got all three of us here yeah where's where's the best way to come in the voice you just heard is Deputy Sheriff Eric toxon accompanied by a senior officer Deputy toxen was about about to have a very dangerous encounter with a man who was seemingly mentally unstable safe to say he was caught completely off guard is that him that just ran in yeah okay how you doing Steve we handled it now got him him on your belly thank you running out no they're I need I need something over my helmet they're drilling down at me they're seriously tracking me this head down this is freaking me out head down buddy all right you you all right think so even though toxen was bum rushed he did manage to overpower the man successfully the suspect was later identified as 45-year-old Steve boo it looked like he passed out for a moment then he came to and started talking but none of it made much sense [Music] pleas double back you got to let me actually do the thing it's almost here though got Tran cuffs this puzzle's got to stop not the person he was looking for you have not been trespassed and so I'm taking you back to your house and for me personally I apologize sometimes identities get mixed up so I'm still anxious I mean I'm still nervous you know when I drive I have dash cams in all my cars now or whatever I drive I have a dash cam I'm ready to pull my phone out like I'm I'm still you know scared and you know I thought it would never happen to me you know you you would never think it would happen to you you know and it did this case of mistaken identity could quite possibly cost millions of dollars 10 million to be exact because that's the amount Tony's asking for in his lawsuit for this alleged racial profiling at the same time our rookie cop was not charged or disciplined for his blunder I mean
