On August 29th, 2025, officers were called to a bank in Sunrise, Florida after an employee reported a woman trying to cash a fraudulent check for nearly $5,000. She's from Cuba, she told me. And the woman was the woman was waiting for her outside. She told me and she gave me the ID and the card because she has an account with us. She opened the account about 5 days ago. >> Okay. >> When I saw the check with the name, I knew it was a fraud. So what I did, I tried to >> So the lady you were speaking to has the same name as >> Ion. >> Okay. >> I also opened the account about five days ago. >> And so she came in her debit card and her ID both said that. >> Yeah. She gave me everything right away. >> Okay. >> And the check. So when I saw the check, her name and it was her. So what I did, I tried to waste time to make her stay. I sc even to see the system already. I said, "I knew I need an approval for this check." So, I give me the back and we call the phone number for the for the front with my coworker. As far as I know, she was talking with me with with my coworker for the friendly when I start to smoke cigarette. When she came back, I was trying to make time with her that it was over my my uh my limit. And when you came, >> would you put it in as like a white rock? >> Yeah, white rock.
