No, you're done. You're done. I'm literally going to tell them everything. You're done. If I'm going to jail, he's done. How many times? I don't discipline her. Was it just one, two, three? No. [clears throat] See that girl? See that it's changing colors from purple? Purple on bottom and red on top. Yeah, that means it's THC. Some women who break the law don't rely on force, but composure and a shy smile. They cover their cruelty with casual indifference, but even the best facade can crack. Especially when the police know she's hiding something. She was yelling and screaming at me, her mother, who pushed her out of her my I got 13 goddamn stitches pushing this kid out of my vagina. On August 17th, 2024, officers in Palm Coast, Florida, responded to a call regarding a family altercation. A child had allegedly hit her mother while they were in the car. Where did she go? See where she went when when through it or she just started walking and She just She literally Okay, what's going on? She literally hit me in the This is my daughter. She's like 17 years old. She hit me in the right side of my face here. I'm sure you can tell because I have half of my eyelashes in But she hit me in the face a couple times. And then she got out of the Can you like give me a little light up to this? Like what happened? She's just an angry person. I don't I don't know. The mother explained that she had been at a birthday party with her younger kids. Her older daughter, Ariana, had come to pick her up so they could go together to her niece's birthday. But during the drive, the two argued. And according to the mother, her daughter attacked her. She started cursing me out and yelling at me. Why? I I have no idea. I guess >> So you guys are coming from a birthday party? >> had to pick me up and she's helping me out. I'm her mother. I do everything for her. >> So you guys were at a birthday party? Yes, me and the >> the younger kids, which is um Where are they at? >> Ava and James. They left with somebody else. From here? No, from the party. Okay. So, they were on the way, we were on the way, and then she started getting angry, and she punched me in the face a couple times. You're leaving a lot of stuff out. So you guys were at the party. Was she at the party, too? No. So you had to call her. Let's start there. You called her. Yes. So, to pick you up? Yes. Okay. >> all three of us All three? Oh, the two kids? >> Yes, me and the two kids. They're twins. Okay. Yeah, they're >> But the kids left before she showed up, after she showed up? >> No, the kids because our best friend Summer has a car. So, they were all at my niece's birthday party. They came to pick us up. We were all going here, and then everyone came to pick us up. They left with Summer in the van. Ava and James That's my other two kids. We're here. She started yelling at me. She got upset, and then she hit me in the face a couple times. The mother presented herself as the victim of battery, but her story shifted slightly each time. The inconsistencies led the officer to press for more specific details. Well, how was she hitting you with a closed fist, open hand? >> Closed fist, right here in my eye, right here. Where I'm missing my eyelashes, this is where she was hitting. Okay. Did you hit her back at all? I didn't hit her back because she's my daughter. I never hit her. I never hit any of that. How many times did she hit you? Probably four times. Where did she hit you at? All >> Right here. It's right here. Yes. >> Okay. Has she done that before? She has gotten physical before. Yes. How long ago was the last time? Probably like a year ago. It's been a while. Okay, what made her get like what Cuz you just you said it was verbal, so what made it physical? Did she just I She got >> say anything? Did she say anything before she started getting She just started getting physical. Well, I you're going to have to ask her. I have no idea. >> I know, but I'm trying to ask you first before I find her. >> I don't know what made her got physical. That's just how she is. She's like her father. The officers really needed to hear the daughter's side of the story. So, the mother's cousin, Amber, contacted Ariana. Soon, the upset girl arrived and gave the police her version. Well, I went to go pick her up and she was stumbling, not walking straight, and I told her what she didn't want to hear. That I'm almost 18 and I shouldn't have to be calling to pick my 40 almost 40-year-old mom because she's old enough to know. She has two other kids with her and that she needs to be responsible, but she's acting like a child and she didn't like it. So, she hit me one time on Seven Oaks and then we were driving we went straight from that light and we were on like Um she had pulled my hair. This was like right here this happened. Well, I think she hit me in my head on Seven Oaks and then right here where I was still driving and she pulled my hair and started hitting me in the So, you told her what she didn't want to hear. So, you commented on her being drunk? Yeah, I told her that I'm almost 18. I'm your child. I shouldn't have to be Is that when she decided to pull your hair and hit you? What did she do first? Um she pulled my the back of underneath of my hair and then she started hitting me. While you were driving? >> driving. So, I had to slam on the brakes and I pulled over where the car is right now. It hasn't moved. She told me to pull over the car to get out of this arm and tore my bag and then she called me a dumb [ __ ] As the daughter was telling her side, the mother's story began to fall apart. Despite playing the victim at first, it appeared that she was the primary aggressor. The girl also revealed that her mother had dragged her father into the fight. She called my dad and was on the phone with him and telling her and then she told me she doesn't want she doesn't want me in her house anymore. She wants me out of the house and then I'm a drag and a dumb And then she got out and she's like cuz I I had pulled her hair and hit her back when I pulled over cuz she was still hitting me. And then she got out and she's like I'm calling the cops. You just hit >> Right here? Yeah, right here in the car. >> When did it first get physical on Seminola Woods? >> On Seminola Woods. >> Before after she got out of the car? On Seminola Woods, it was before And what did she do exactly at that time? >> Woods from the neighborhood. What did she do exactly? She she just like swung her hand and like hit me. How many times at that time? >> Where did she hit you at? Uh I believe on my cheek. Earlier you mentioned she pulled your hair, too. What happened first, the hit or the pulling of hair? >> Uh well, she hit me one time on Seminola Woods and then when we got here is when she pulled my hair and started hitting me again. While you were driving? Yeah. All right. And then did you hit her at all? Yeah, I did. I pulled her hair and hit her back. >> Was this after she hit you that you hit her back? Was that to get her away from you or were you just To get her away from me cuz I'm driving. We're going to crash if I don't pull over. Yeah. Okay. This I called her to pick me up. I got in the car. Everything was fine when I got in the car. She started yelling at me. I don't remember why. So, you have no idea why? I don't know. She started yelling at me >> It was an hour or two ago. It wasn't that long. It wasn't an hour or two long. It was It wasn't that long. >> Maybe less. Exactly. So, you don't remember why she was yelling at you, but you know she was yelling at you. She said I have to pick you up from a [ __ ] party. She was screaming at the top of her lungs like I do not. Okay. Her voice was like up, like Mariah Carey. Yes. The officers kept asking follow-up questions because the mother contradicted herself and wasn't being precise. With every passing second, she felt she was losing ground. So, she leaned on emotion instead of facts. That's exactly what I said. Pull over and let me the [ __ ] out of the car. That's what I said. >> any names before that, like during the argument? No, I didn't call her any arguments. She was yelling and screaming at me, her mother, who pushed her out of her my Yeah. vagina. I got 13 goddamn stitches pushing this kid out of my >> Starting the first day you got out, you you were nervous to go with her. And you didn't yell at her. You didn't call her names. I probably yelled at her, yes, cuz she was yelling at me, absolutely. I'm not saying >> 2 seconds ago you said you didn't yell at her. No. She I didn't say I didn't yell at her. Yes, you did. You said that you you said she was screaming at you. You didn't reply. You said, "Let me the [ __ ] out." And she let you out. Yes, that's what I said. So, now you're saying you out of the car. So, now you're admitting you did yell at her back then. But that's what I said. I said, "Let me the [ __ ] out of the car." That's all I said. I wasn't physical with her. No, I'm not going to say I was physical with her cuz I wasn't. So, then as you guys come out the road, you never grabbed her by the hair. When she was hitting me in my face, I might have grabbed her by her hair, yes. But when we got up here when we got up here and she was hitting me in the face, no, I never got physical before that. So, you might have grabbed her hair now. Cuz earlier today earlier like 5 minutes ago you said you absolutely did not touch her anytime. The mother kept telling the police a constantly changing story. Her daughter, on the other hand, gave them a concise, coherent, and clear statement. And with every passing minute, the truth began to unravel. I never said I didn't hit her. I never said that. >> So, my So, when I first >> pulled her hair, maybe, yes. Maybe. When I I you about that, you initially stated that you simply did not reply with any type of force and you just got out of the car. And then now when I ask you about pulling her hair, you said, "Maybe I might have pulled her hair, too." Okay. I probably did pull her hair when I I'm not saying I didn't pull her hair. I probably did pull her I'm not saying I punched her in the face. Even Even as simple as a detail as why was she Why was she arguing with you? You initially said you didn't remember, but then when I told you that's very unlikely, you were able to tell me exactly why she was yelling and what she was saying to you. Is there anything else that you want to add about what occurred today and and all of that? That you haven't said already? You can have a seat. Oh my god, are they taking her to jail? Yep. Based on the information we've got, we've determined her to be the primary aggressor. We have conflicting statements, but again, in our training experience, we're going to go off of the information we've got, so that's where we're at. It's all on her. It's not on her right now, okay? Okay, we have to make a determination as law enforcement, but if you're the primary primary aggressor, it's not on her to press charges. The officers made it clear to the suspect that in that case, it wasn't her daughter pressing the charges, it was the police. Then her cousin Amber stepped in and tried to plead with the officers. She's got two sets of twins at home, like babies waiting for her. She's got babies at home waiting for her. Oh my god. She's got a son that That is autistic. That is physically Move her out of the box. Oh my god. Really [ __ ] Call that for you? Tele type. I'm going to get fired from my job. Meanwhile, the suspect's husband arrived. He would take care of the twins. [music] But soon it became clear that the suspect might stay in custody longer because this wasn't her first arrest. This is just a misdemeanor charge. It doesn't matter. I'm on probation. Oh, you are? Yeah. For what? For um I got into like a bar fight. You're missing your probation? Yeah. For what? For battery? Yeah. Is there a special condition of no alcohol? Yeah. Wonderful. All right. And additionally, you just told me that you're on probation. I'm the one that arrested you last time. Um so it's a a violent regulated crime that I arrested you for last time, and your condition for probation is no no alcohol. And right now, I can just tell right now just based on your eyes and and that you consumed intoxicants today. So, you're going to be have a violation of probation as well. The suspect was eventually charged with violation of probation, battery with a prior conviction, and child abuse with great [music] bodily harm. On May 10th, 2023, police in Cocoa Beach, Florida, noticed a vehicle with expired registration and plate stickers. What they found in the car were two smiling and friendly women, at least at first glance. Hi. How are you? Good. How are you? This is my car. I just asked I asked my friend to drive me cuz Okay. I'm Officer Brown, Cocoa Beach Police Department. So, the registration is expired. I know. I actually didn't So, I'm from New York. I live here now, but in New York they do the registration totally different, and I thought that they do it every year, but apparently I just learned this like a couple days ago. It's On your birthday? >> Yeah, exactly. And my birthday just passed. So, I just figured it out. Okay. Um since you're actually the one driving, I need your license. I will be honest with you. I have nothing on me. I literally have just my cash. I just got robbed. Yeah. I have nothing at all. I have nothing at all. Okay. And I can prove it to you. >> No, you're fine. >> like nothing. You can use my license if you need it. I don't. >> Okay. Yeah. Um Okay. What's your first name? My first name is Tatiana. Spell it for me. T a t i a n a. Okay. And then last name? Brown. Oh. Okay. And birthday? 1 14 1992. Uh you're older though. What? I'm older than you? Yeah. By 3 years. It looked like the women were only going to get an identification check and a warning. The officer showed understanding toward the driver who introduced herself as Tatiana Brown and claimed she had just been robbed. Where'd you get robbed at though? Orlando. I don't know. Literally, I have cash on me. I'm so annoyed. It was such a my car, my medicine here. Why do you like everything? Wow. And so That sucks. All right. Well, give me like I don't know, 5 minutes and then I'll have you on your way, okay? >> Okay. Yep. Uh what's your middle name? What's your middle name? No middle. No? All right. Spell your first name again just so I have it spelled right. T a t i a n a. Oh, two n's. That's what I missed. You said you have a Florida license? All right. 1 14 of 1992? All right. I was spelling it wrong. That's why I was being dumb. All right. My bad. Give me a second. I'll be right back. The suspect, still presenting herself as Tatiana Brown with two n's, asked the officer if she could leave since she wasn't being ticketed. But the officer couldn't release her until her identification was confirmed. He ran her name again, still found nothing, and returned to the women more tense than before. Okay, so be honest. Cuz I'm trying to be nice here. Do you have a Do you actually have a license? Okay, I'll be honest. Obviously. Huh? I have a license. Okay. And my name is Valder South. Wait, what? Yeah, it's her past. That has nothing to do with you, though. I didn't know what to do, so I'm like freaking out. So you give me [music] a completely different person's name? I don't want to make this complicated. Okay, spell the correct name. V A L D Y E E E E Valder South V A L D A R S O U T Okay, birthday? October 11th, 2000. 2000. Oh my goodness. All right. Come here for a second. I got to show you something. What? Just come here. Come here so I can show you what I got to show you. A photo. All right, turn around and put your hands behind your back. Don't Don't Stay in the car. Stay in the car. Don't move. I'm not Don't move. I'm tired of you lying. That's not who you are. Excuse me? That's not who you are. What is going on? Why is this happening? Why are you arresting me? Wait, wait, wait. Why are you I'm >> Stop moving. I'm not. Okay, I'm sorry. >> That's not your name. >> Why are you What do you mean? Ow, ow, ow. Wait, why are you handcuffing me? Because you're lying to me. >> I'm not lying. That's Yes, she is. Because she lied to me about her name twice. >> No, why would I >> looked up that photo and that's not you at all. No, it's not. No, it's not. You need to call her mom. >> Sir. Call my mom. No, call my mom for you. Yeah, yeah, that's not you. The officer had checked the system and found that the name Althea Valcarcel belonged to someone else. It was clear she had given him a false name a second time. Now, he asked the suspect's friend for an explanation. Let me see your license. So, what's your real name? It's Althea. I mean, I don't know I don't understand why but what's the problem? That's not what that's showing up on the driver's license photo. Not her at all. It's completely different person. I mean, that's I mean, I can call her mom. The suspect's friend, out of loyalty, [music] backed up her lies. A second officer arrived at the scene. When asked by his colleague, he also compared the system photo with the woman in custody and gave his judgment. That look like the same person to you? No. What's your real name? You don't know you're lying? He just said the jailer she knows I'll figure it out that way. I don't know why this is happening right now. Because you're lying. >> I admitted to what I said and That's not your real name. Okay, you can just go to jail. You're going to take what this person told me. No, I was going to take you once you lied to me the second time. The first time I was going to just let it slide, but now the second time you're still lying, I'm not letting that slide. The suspect insisted the officers call her mom. The cop refused [music] saying she was an adult. She played the good girl begging to be allowed to go to her mommy, but her behavior changed when another officer arrived to check her fingerprints. I don't have to do this. I don't understand. We're just trying to verify who you are. Yes. Sir, I you verified so many different times. I didn't verify that. I told you I like I explained I want to call my mom. >> It's okay. No, no, just I want to call You don't have the right to Yeah. You can't refuse this. What rights do I have? Not the right to counsel or or to call your mom. We're just trying to verify your that you are who you say you are. Yes, so you need to get out. >> want to do this. Okay, then just go and step out of the The suspect refused to get out of the car. The officers were forced to grab her and pull her out. She continued acting uncooperatively. Please stop. Please stop. What are you doing to me? YOU'RE ABOUT to catch another charge. Stop it. You're about to catch A >> STOP IT. STOP. LEAVE ME ALONE. GET OFF OF ME. YOU'RE GOING TO GET SPRAYED. STOP. STOP. [screaming] STOP. STOP. STOP. STOP. GET OFF OF ME. NO. NO, LET ME GO. STOP. I SAID NO. I SAID NO. I don't want you. The suspect resisted so strongly that it raised the question of what she was hiding. Threats of pepper spray didn't work. Instead, she kicked the officer who tried to fingerprint her. Why are you forcing me? Guys, you're going to have to do THIS AT THE >> [screaming] >> I'M JUST GOING TO DO NOT KICK ME AGAIN. THAT'S A CHARGE. >> [screaming] >> I'M NOT KICKING YOU. I LOVE YOU. NO. NO. NO. STOP DOING THIS. >> [screaming] >> OKAY, WATCH YOUR HEAD. LET ME GO. AFTER A SERIOUS STRUGGLE, THE suspect was returned to the back seat of the patrol car. Now, the police could identify the woman who had first presented herself as Tatiana Brown and then as Althea Valcarcel. Tatiana Flood 11494 Uh last name is Flood. It's spelled F-L-O-O-D. F-L-O-O-D Tatiana T-A-T And you're resisting. >> I-A You're resisting. We told you to stop. Uh black female 11494 revoked prior suspension for refusal to submit Yes, she is. I can smell the alcohol. I smell it, too. I did not drink any alcohol. I did not kick you. You're welcome. What you say now means nothing. Tatiana Flood was charged with two felony counts of battery on an officer, two felony counts of providing false identification to law enforcement, two counts of resisting arrest, and driving on a revoked license. On April 24th, 2024, deputies in Florida responded to a residence they had gone to multiple times before. In the house lived a young family with a baby. A fight had reportedly broken out between the parents again. So, uh today's the day she's drinking. So, she went down to the bar at about 2:30. Just give us a minute, all right? Can you come talk to me for a minute? I will talk to you, yes. Let's talk over here. What's going on? Uh she she was upset this morning. We got in a fight. She saw me, threatened me all day that she's going to go drink if I don't cut my [ __ ] And then she went to the bar. I told her if she goes to the bar, it's over. Uh she went to the bar. She came back. >> I hear you. I um I went for a walk. So, I took a walk. I went down the bike path a little bit and back. Came back to the house. All the doors were She locked the front screen door so I couldn't use my key to get in the house. And then I I got in the garage door. Yeah, kicked the door in. So, she slammed She went outside. She slammed the door so hard that the door went inside the jam and got stuck. And then she said she came back 15 minutes later and tried to get in the door and she's like, "You're locking me out." I was telling her I locked the house and came to the door and it wouldn't work. So, she kicked the door in with the baby on the other side after I told her repeatedly the baby's on the other side of the door. The father admitted the baby was not hurt, but he also shared his concerns that the mother was a danger to the baby. It turned out there had been a recent incident caused by the mother where only luck had kept the baby from being injured. So, I came back from my walk, I got in the house, and she's passed out drunk in the room, and the baby's running around the house. >> Yeah. So, that's a problem. Yeah. So, I don't know what to do, but I'm trying to take control of my child and she won't give her to me. All right. Are you Are you going to be present to keep eyes on the baby? Yeah, I want her to be in my care and custody right now and I want her to stay away from the baby until she's not intoxicated. Yeah. Cuz last time that she was intoxicated, she locked the baby in the truck and she almost killed it. That was 2 weeks ago. Okay. All right. The father told police he was going to stay in the house until he found a way to leave it. He clearly did not get along with the mother of his child. He even carried his backpack with him afraid she might try to steal his stuff. So, that works. Yeah. So, if he's okay and he can be calm coming back in the house and not having it in front of my daughter. That's all I'm asking. All [snorts] right. So, I'm going to talk to him before I leave so I'm you guys are good. And uh Can you come back at my house? I'm not doing anything. I'm not doing anything. I'm just He's using all these, so he wants to make sure you all are okay. I just want to make sure my daughter's not involved in I mean, what? I said I don't want to make sure my daughter's not going to be involved in anything, and he's clearly upset, and I don't want it to escalate and have her in the middle of it. >> [snorts] >> That's literally all I was asking. The officers told both parents to call them in case of an emergency. They left the residence wishing the family a peaceful night. But only 45 minutes later, the officers were dispatched to the same address again. So, she was supposed to go for a walk. >> out of the road. She started going for a walk to the lab, came down the street, came right back, she started accusing me of stealing her phone, so I was looking for her phone in the house, and then she just started straight Okay. just harassing me. All right. >> So, I took my daughter into her room, and I I took my daughter into her room, and I locked the door, and I just ignored her, and um, she came and kicked the door in. Okay. Samantha had kicked the door, and it wasn't just a harmless kick. It might have been connected to the baby's head injury. The female officer noticed this while interrogating Samantha about the incident. What's going on? He woke up, he called, uh, the store, and he got irritated because they told him to call back. Okay. He doesn't want He didn't want He wanted to work today. Was that bump on her head when other deputies were here before? It was It was? Okay, cuz he was just here, so he he can tell me that bump was on her head? Who? This guy? Yeah, this guy right here. He can He can tell me that she had that bump on her head? >> cameras in our house to show the entire thing. It's on his phone. >> How did that get there? She likes to go headfirst off of the bed. >> She is not shy. Okay. All right, if you guys want to hang out out here for me, okay? >> Yeah, I'm I'm going to sit right here. Okay, do not go back in the house at the moment, all right? Samantha's statements contradicted those of her boyfriend. She appeared tense and unconvincing, but her boyfriend had recorded the last incident. You're not leaving with her. Oh, I'm not? No. Oh. But you're leaving, right? She fell down. What the [ __ ] IS GOING >> [laughter] [crying] >> OPEN THE DOOR, [ __ ] >> [screaming] >> WHAT ARE YOU SCARED OF? I KNOW. GET DON'T PUSH ME. DON'T hit me. GET OFF OF OW! >> [screaming] >> OW! All right, so what's going on with you two? We're fighting. He is being an [ __ ] and he's telling me I'm worthless, and I ain't worth it, and he should stay with his ex. Okay. And I'm telling him he's being a piece of And how did you How did you react to his words? How did I react? I left. Okay. I walked out of the house. I told him I was going to stay. I I didn't tell him >> must have not been for that long, cuz you were just here like 20 minutes ago, right? Yeah, exactly, cuz I don't like to leave my daughter by herself. >> Okay. Samantha was asked if she had physically assaulted her boyfriend that day. She chose not to answer, and instead asked the officers to review the cameras in the house. She blamed the smell of alcohol on her vape and denied drinking, but that did not change the officer's decision. Well, I haven't done anything. >> Stop. I haven't done anything. >> All you have to do is stop. Stop. It's all on camera. It's on camera. It's fine. It's fine. I'm not doing anything. I am not I'm literally taking care of our daughter. No, you're done. You're done. I'm literally going to tell them everything. You're done. If I'm going to jail, he's done. Samantha was placed in the back seat of the patrol car. She disagreed with her arrest and begged the officers to check the cameras, but once she was alone in the car, she totally lost it. SIR! WHY AM I BEING DETAINED? I'VE ASKED HER MULTIPLE TIMES. WHY AM I BEING DETAINED? Why am I I'm not detained. You're under arrest. For what? For battery. For battery of what? TO YOUR BOYFRIEND. MY BOYFRIEND? WHERE'S HIS MARKS? PLAY THE CAMERA. PLAY THE CAMERA. Samantha was far from cooperative with the officers as she threatened to sue them. They warned her she would be hobbled if she didn't comply. That did not calm her and soon she started fighting the cops. No, YOU'RE NOT TOUCHING ME. DON'T TOUCH ME. I AM GOING TO DON'T DON'T TOUCH ME! I WANT A SUPERVISOR. I HAVE A RIGHT TO A SUPERVISOR. I HAVE A RIGHT TO A SUPERVISOR. >> THE SUPERVISOR. NO, YOU'RE NOT. YOU CAN'T FIGHT AND YOU'RE GOING TO GET A BATTERY ON LEO CHARGE. I I'M NOT TOUCHING YOU. YOU'RE TOUCHING ME. SAMANTHA, give us your name. >> No. You're going to give me A SUPERVISOR. I HAVE A RIGHT TO A SUPERVISOR. I HAVE A RIGHT. I AM THE SUPERVISOR. THEN GIVE ME YOUR GIVE ME YOUR I WANT I WANT YOUR SUPERVISOR. >> GET TASED. >> I WANT YOUR SUPERVISOR NOW. IT'S ON CAMERA. I WANT YOUR SUPERVISOR. I WANT YOUR [ __ ] CAPTAIN. NOW. >> working this side. I don't WORK IT. I DON'T GIVE A [ __ ] I WANT YOUR SUPERVISOR and I have A RIGHT TO ASK FOR IT. I HAVE A RIGHT TO ASK FOR YOUR SUPERIOR. If you tase me because I asked for your superior, we're going to >> That's not why you're getting tased. No. Or are threatened to be tased. >> I'M ASKING I AM COMPLYING. I'VE DONE NOTHING BUT DON'T FIGHT ME. I'VE DONE I HAVEN'T FIGHTING YOU. >> I SAID YOU'RE FIGHTING ME. NO, I DIDN'T. WHERE? WHERE? SAMANTHA, GIVE US your leg. >> Then don't touch me. IF HE'S ON HIS WAY, DON'T TOUCH ME. DON'T TOUCH ME. [screaming] YOU'RE HURTING ME. I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING BUT ASKING FOR A SUPERVISOR. >> [crying] >> IT'S ALL RIGHT cuz you guys are going to I have done nothing to you. I I Don't touch me. STOP IT. >> [laughter] >> I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG. SHE WAS charged with battery, two counts of battery on an officer, and resisting an officer with violence. She was sentenced to 1 year of probation and ordered to pay a total of $672 in fines and court costs. On April 9th, 2025, police in St. Petersburg, Florida, responded to a call about a possible violence on the street. I wasn't I didn't even see them in the office. The officer asked Kimberly for her ID. She answered she had nothing with her, but the cop wasn't going to let her fool him. He already knew the suspect had a knife which she had been waving in front of people she argued with. Kimberly Oh, you give it to me. Kimberly Yes, sir. The part you missed out is the knife. Yeah, and it's Don't don't don't don't don't. I was cleaning out my finger. I Seriously, that's how I clean my fingers. And did you say Don't. Okay, I can't I keep telling you that. >> [snorts] >> I don't know what I did though. I had my pocket knife in my hand sitting there cleaning my fingers. I was there first sitting there. Does this sound familiar? I'm going to kill you. No. They were threatening me to kick my and go across the street and get my bags when it's I hid it in a bush. So, did you feel threatened? Yeah. Yes. >> Is that why you had the knife and said I'm going to It's not a knife. It's a It's a pocket That's not a knife. This is a knife. >> When asked, she told the officer she didn't have any outstanding warrants. But when the officer asked if she had concealed something illegal in her bag, she got very emotional. Is there anything in there that shouldn't be in there illegal? Why are you in my bag? I want to know why I am getting questioned when they approached me. I want to know. Okay, let let me go through this with you again. >> Please, and why am I Why am I being I >> I got flagged down. The lady said, "You," as you admitted Yeah, she was going to >> go ahead. I did That's why I'm out with you. You just said you're holding a knife. My bag is right here. It's right here. Don't don't Officers noticed that she kept going toward her bag repeatedly. She denied having drugs on her person, but eventually the officer found a pipe. Why are you freaking out? You're all over the You're all over the place, though. I don't like going to jail for no reason. I don't have the pipe on me. Yes, I did. Okay, so then there's no no reason, then. But that shouldn't have been stopped. You know what I mean? Somebody flagged down the police and said that a crime took place. >> commit a crime, though. I did it. Don't we have to investigate it? Yeah, but that's the matter at hand. I didn't I didn't They They threatened me. I defended myself. It I don't understand. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what I say. Nobody believes me anyways. That's been going on since 2016. Just park her car. Park the car. The more I tell the truth, the more I get in trouble. So, I must I'm I should just start lying. Ironically, Kimberly had already started lying. She told the police she wasn't in possession of any illegal substances. Yeah, well, I just want to know what's I have What is it? Who's this? I found it in the apartment I was in. I found it in the apartment I was in. As a god and [ __ ] on my life and my on my kids, I found it. The pipe is mine. I'll admit. Yeah, how long have you been smoking meth? Actually, I haven't. I was on probation for 3 years, and um I just finished. I um >> When was When was the last time you smoked meth? Um Cuz it's pretty It's got some pretty decent residue in there. It does. Um Which is going to get field tested, huh? That was all I had. It's fine. Are you arresting me for a possession? Yeah. >> I didn't I didn't deserve that. I defended myself, sir. Well, that's the only reason I'm here, or is it? She flagged me down. I wanted to go call you. I swear to you, I would never ever avoid the law. I don't >> So, Kimberly, here's the thing. If I get If I get arrested today on my birthday, I've no money, I've no friends, I've no family. Okay. I will sit there. Kimberly, but listen to me. Um I'm a really good human. >> No, I don't doubt that. I I do not threaten them, though. I swear to you. I I just have a job to do, right? So, here's the thing. >> to arrest me if you don't want to. Well, I kind of do. It's a felony, isn't it? Please. I have four of them. I But I'm I have a job and an apartment and no one trying to get to you. I'm not going to arrest you for the aggravated assault, right? Which is violence, obviously. Don't. It's I already have a possession charge. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. My life is It just doesn't matter. Kimberly was booked into jail. She was charged with possession of an illegal substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. On April 23rd, 2024, police in Polk County, Florida, received a call from a local hotel. A painting was stolen out of the lobby. All right. So, what is your name? My name is Selena Rodriguez. The background of the picture I drew the picture itself. That was just a canvas on I don't know who picked it up or something like that, but I've had it with me. I carry it around all the time. The suspect, who introduced herself as Selena Rodriguez, was certainly creative. When the police found no information under that name, it turned out she had another one ready. Do you go by another name besides Rodriguez? It was Holloway, but that was a document of the state. I mean, I haven't had any other last names. I just got We just got um evicted from my house. They have a copy of it in the front office. Suddenly, Miss Selena Rodriguez became Miss Holloway. While the cops were still wondering which name she was lying about, she gave them another story. One [music] even more creative than the last. I'm also pregnant, so do not mind me. I'm I'm very, very emotional and I can't do this. I'm going to have a Well, that social security number did not come back to you. It came back to a It came back to a I have the actual document. It came back to a Sheree something. We're going to place you in handcuffs right now. I'm pregnant. You cannot I look No, no, no, no, please don't No, no, no, don't touch me. Stop. Don't touch me. I can't. No, no, no. Stop. If I throw up and I lose my child, you will be Okay, get it. I'm not going to do it, but please you have to let go of my arm. The suspect tried to scare the officers with her pregnancy claim, but soon one of the cops ruined her little lie. Two hours ago, you told me you were on your period. >> I You can be on my period. I have documentation, sir. That's I am pregnant. >> be on your period and be That is the same time. You do know that you can, but I have a disability and I I am going to pass out. >> Okay. I didn't take the pain And now they're saying I'm I'm not. Like I can't do this. Is she pregnant or is she not pregnant? I am pregnant. But she she last time she had a period and wasn't pregnant. and stuff and I I I do bleed during my pregnancy. If you're pregnant and you're on your period, why are you pregnant? I have anxiety and stuff. That's not normal. You can't. You can bleed, you can spot, you cannot have a period. You called her by the right name. You started to You called her yourself. Her name's Tatiana Gamble. I called her Tater Tot. Her name's Tatiana Gamble. Right? I already got her driver's license photo. Just Just get the full name. Let's call up and David. I already found it. It's her. Then it's a wrap. No, it's not. Can you at least grab my ID cuz my ID says my name. Like can you at least run that at least like do you hear me? >> The woman's real name was Tatiana Conley. Very soon she realized she had totally screwed herself and there was no turning back. In fact, she was hiding her previous encounters with the police. Right now we're going to go to the Quality Inn and verify your identity. Right now you're being detained because you're the suspect in a theft. For the of the painting. Your name does not come back to you. Your social does not come back to you. I have a picture of a person that looks exactly like you who has a VOP warrant. Are you are you not pregnant? >> I am pregnant. But you had a period? I have cysts in my ovaries so I bleed and I constantly >> So let me ask you this, how far are you? I'm about 2 and 1/2 months. Have you been tested or do you think you're pregnant? >> No, I've been tested. I have documentation. I do. All right, so Take them rings and bracelets off of you. >> Yeah, I can't. They won't come off like that. They're old. They don't come off. You have to Can I can I move my hands or can you just like Lady, you want to do it? You want to show me how you take them off? I mean will they come off? They're There's my wedding ring. So I have to like forcefully take it off. Like are you going to take my necklaces off cuz I got faces and stuff too. I wanted to take all my stuff. >> We understand that. If I don't want to take them can you like leave them here or something? >> I'm not going to go into your body. The officers placed Tatiana back in the patrol car. By then she was visibly shaken in her lies realizing she wouldn't slip away from jail. She knew her criminal record and soon she confessed to the cops. We're still waiting to see if you have a warrant. >> Okay, thank you. Donna, I'm still on probation. That's what I'm saying. I don't We'll see. I don't you know, I have this thing is really weird. I'll pass out. I'm scared. They kick me the hell out and I work myself up and I just don't want to go to jail. Let me get it. I can't go back to jail. I just got out. I've been doing everything I should do and I have my feeling has nothing. I mean I don't know what he makes me do with my money. They're going Now where's your PO at over in the city? Who's your PO? I don't know. his name. We'll go back there. I don't remember his name. It's some It sounds African almost, but I don't remember his name. I talked to him like 2 days ago. I'm in drug rehab- rehabilitation classes right here in X City. I mean, I go every week every when I'm supposed to and take my drug test and everything. Like I can't. It all happened cuz I was stupid. Like nobody else has I do. And I I was just like loving people before yourself, so that's what I don't I'm getting in trouble out here with the out there in the streets. There's like there's no situation where I deal with the police state. I have to be there. Tatiana was transported to jail. She was charged with burglary, possession of personal identification, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of investigation, and giving a false name to law enforcement. On January 27th, 2025, police responded to a call about family tension. An abusive woman had allegedly harassed her daughter and mother, keeping them in constant fear. I want to pull up. I want to fill out a police report. >> NO, NO, BABY. NO, NO. I WAS cutting french fries. Do you see what I got to deal with? Do you see what I have to deal with? THIS IS THE SAME TIME THEY CAME IN TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH ME. I was cutting french fries. And I dropped the knife. If you had my grand daughter in the room beating on my grand daughter. She was smashing me in the face. Ma'am, I'm going to talk to you right here. You're a liar. Is there anyone else in the house other than you? >> No, this is my baby. I want to talk to my grand daughter. SHE'S SHE'S 12 YEARS OLD. I'M NOT ALLOWING MY CHILD TO SPEAK TO NO OFFICER. SHE'S GOT TO GO. WE GOT TO CALM DOWN. The old lady arguing with the suspect about the incident that had happened earlier that day was her mother. While both were yelling, the suspect was braiding her daughter's hair. To calm them down, the officers separated them. Then the suspect began explaining what had happened. What happened? She was cutting french fries. I pulled out the dinner for my child to eat uh some meatloaf and gravy and rice. I told her she was eating off of dinner, she got irate, turned around with the knife in her Who got irate? She did. Okay. She's going through This is the second time that that officer has been here. Um I'm not allowing my child to speak to you on your camera. I'm just going to let you know that. Uh so she turned around with the the knife in her hand. I knocked her cane to the floor. She approached me with a knife, told my asked her I told my daughter she'd be eating the fries. I said my daughter won't. My daughter said she'd be eating the fries. So I popped her in the head and said, "You're not eating no fries. You're going to eat what I whatever I cook you." Okay. Uh and so she got irate, came in. Uh my daughter started crying. She got irate, came in snatching on me and I got to yelling at my child and told my child, "I'm your mother. You eat what I give you." And so she got irate, had a fit again, came into the room and dialed 911. I told her dial 911. "You're the one that's irate. You're the one with your hand. It's my child and if I want to discipline my child, I could. That is what that is all So Grandma Lynn gets irate with the knife in her hand because she >> to eat the french fries. Well, she's not going to eat the fries. She's going to eat the meatloaf, rice, and green beans. Okay. And she got upset. Okay. And You're a liar. So she had so she had the cane and the knife in her hand and you No, the the cane I knocked to the floor. The knife she had in her hand. I knocked the cane to the floor. >> Yeah, so she had the cane and the knife in her hand. >> not. Oh, you just knocked the cane down. >> 100%. >> Okay. So you just knocked the cane down. >> man. Yeah. As the knife was in her hand. Okay. And now did she say she was going to cut you or anything like that or was it just the knife like just in her hand? in her hand. Look like this. >> Okay. If you don't get out of my face I'm going to cuz I'll lay your ass out. I'm 42 years old, you're 67. >> Okay. And then so why did you bop her in the head? Uh because she kept talking back to me about wanting the fries and eating the fries and I told her that's not what she was eating. She was eating a a four course meal. Okay. So then >> I'm her mother. Okay. So then you so she said then I want to eat the fries, you said no. >> I said no, she got >> You were she was talking back and you bopped her in the head. When you say you bopped her in the head, was it like a open hand? >> a VA. Okay. Okay. And so then There's a you know there's parental discipline and stuff like that, okay? So Yeah. The officers didn't see any visible marks on the daughter's face or body. If what the mother said was true, she had nothing to worry about. Yet suddenly, she became strangely defensive toward her daughter. Hold on, ma'am. I don't want her getting hurt. >> it. You know what? We're not going You know? You know? You're being You know? I'm giving you I understand it. I appreciate that. So just go ahead, okay? So go ahead and sit over there, okay? Sit over there while I speak with him, okay? All right? The second officer had spoken with the grandmother. The two officers compared both stories. It was important to them to calm things down in the house because if they didn't, they'd probably be dispatched back there soon. Is there anywhere else you guys can go for the night? I'm not saying you have to leave but Okay, I was just wondering is there anywhere else, you know, just for the I I hear you loud and clear, okay? Basically right now where we're at is we want to end this problem, okay? Well, it seems like there is, you know what I mean? There's There's a reason why we got called here. I mean you guys are both yelling at each other when we You Yeah. I already told you that we're going to have one documented, okay? When I can't physically give you a copy. I can give you a I can give you So there's no I can give you I can give you the I can give Now you're being irate. You know what? You're not letting me You're not letting me Where is the Where is the state protocol is it? Okay. So like I said, there's a FOIA, okay? Freedom of Information, okay? Once we get generate the report and get everything going, you can FOIA this report, okay? Then then you could get the whole copy yourself, all right? So, that being said, clearly there's a conflict here, okay? We don't want to have to keep coming back out here or someone else, you know, >> have to come back out here. Okay. So, what's the solution what's the solution for tonight? According to the suspect, the solution for tonight was simple. The officers should just leave. She reassured them that she and her child weren't going anywhere. Her irritation toward the cops kept growing, like she was hiding something. You know, she can stay in her room 50 ft or 25 ft away from me and I'll stay away from her. I'm here doing something productive. I'm not I'm not saying you're not. Okay. Okay. So, >> we can switch officers. No, we're not going to switch up the cop, okay? What we're going to do, what we're going to do See, you're just being ridiculous. I'm not. You're doing the same thing. No, I'm trying to talk to you right You're both unprofessional. I'm trying I'm trying to talk to you and you're and you're just kind of insulting me, you know, I'm not insulting you. I'm telling you what I saw. public >> That's what we're doing. So, officer, you can So, she has the We're not going to speak with her, okay? Basically, she has She has uh nowhere to go, okay? But, she said she's willing to not speak with her for the rest of the night. Yeah, she's going to pull this card, so. I'll talk to you. Can you talk to her? No. Well, I want to talk to her about what happened. She's a minor and I'm her mother. I do not want her speaking. >> believe she saw something. I believe she did not. She's a minor. She's my child. I'm her parent and guardian. I said no. You're telling me what happened? I'm your parent and guardian. I said no. Well, she's nodded her head that she saw something. Pardon? She's nodded her head that she saw something. She didn't tell you that. She's nodded her head. No, she didn't. Yes, she did. No, she didn't. It's Okay. Miss So, do you want to tell us what happened? Your mom hit you. How many times? How often do you want her to hit you? Is what he's trying to ask you. No, I'm asking her how many times she I told you that? >> her. So, ask her the correct questions. Ask her how many How many times have you hit her in the head? Was it just one, two, three? No. Was Grandpa hitting you as well? No, I'm not. The suspect [clears throat] took a hard hit as her daughter confessed that her mother had struck her. The girl denied that her grandmother had pulled her hair. It was far more likely that her mother had done it. I have a question for you, ma'am. So, I I know she said she you pulled on her hair. How hard did you pull on her hair? Just be honest with us. I don't know how hard at all. Is there a reason you hit her? Uh for talking back to me as I told her no on my command as a parent. Okay. So, I know you said you didn't pull her hair at all at all, but why do we have a whole Why do we Why do we have a whole I have a couple of questions from you, please. Why do we have a whole strand of hair Listen to me. Listen to me, please. He's All right, let's be very very very forceful. Here's the question. Why is her hair on the floor? Cuz usually you pulling someone's hair is I would say that's parent discipline. Like to pull someone's hair out I'm African-American and I'm braiding her hair. It slipped out. I'm braiding her hair. I'm African-American and I'm braiding her hair. I understand that, but we're talking about this hair piece that's over here. This is hair being pulled and the hair came out. I'm doing her hair and it slipped out. I'm braiding her hair and it slipped out. >> Also, the mother grew more agitated with each passing second. Her arguments made no sense. The officers explained that parental discipline had nothing to do with pulling hair or hitting. Your hair is Get up. There's no bed. Let me put on some shoes. No, we'll put the shoes on soon. Okay. I'm just going to What time is it? 1:55. Yeah. What time is it? Yeah. I'm fine. I'm fine. Three minutes ago was 1:53. Yeah. >> All right, hold on a second. Okay, where are the shoes at? Uh in the room. Which room? Uh in that room. In this room? Yeah. Where are Where at in the room are the shoes? Uh Can I put on some underwear? The suspect had been sitting without underwear in front of the officers. Now she wanted to put some on, but they refused to remove her handcuffs. That sparked a new wave of anger, and she turned toward the police camera. How are you going to have How are you supposed to put on underwear at this point cuz you're in custody? With grabbing them and putting them on. You can't do that with your hands behind your back in cuffs. >> Can you uncuff me so I can put them on? I'm not uncuffing you. So you're going to take me with no underwear on. Is your camera on? So So you're going to take me to jail with no underwear on as a male officer. That's That's sexual harassment. Harassment is what she is, okay? That's not It's called out. That's what I'm going to get Can I get my gym shoes? Where are the gym shoes and what shoes are they? Are those Converse right there? I'm not going in here. Flip the light so I can see. >> working out. I can show your flashlights, though. Where in here are the shoes? He's asking me a question. >> Okay. I didn't ask you to come in here. I'm saying you're under arrest. >> to show you. RIGHT THERE IN THE CORNER. YOU'RE NOT LOOKING with your flashlight. The black The black ones? Okay, step back out. I'll grab the black ones for you. We're going Mother I WILL I DON'T CARE. I'LL GET RIGHT OUT. IT'S ALL RIGHT. >> [snorts] >> THE SUSPECT was brought to jail. She was charged with battery. Hopefully she learns to raise her child not with violence, but by setting a good example. >> [music] >> On February 13th, 2024, officers in Polk, Iowa, conducted a traffic stop because they spotted a car whose plates came back to a driver that was barred. Hello. How's your day going today? Not good. We just put my dog down. Okay. Where are you going to Where are you heading right now? Um my daughter is at the dentist. Okay. Does she have a doctor's appointment or what? >> Yeah, she did. She's getting an x-ray. Okay. What happened with her? Um she has she tore her labrum in her hip. With what? She tore her labrum in her hip. Oh, no. Those are no fun. I've had one of those myself. So, reason why I stopped you today, Megan, is you're you're barred. You can't be driving. What do you mean? Your driver's license status is barred. What? Yeah. I just got it. What do you mean I'm barred? Through the state of Iowa, you can't be driving a motor vehicle throughout throughout the entire state. What? Megan looked totally shocked by the information the officer gave her. She was either a good actress or truly had no idea. Like I just got it. Well, it looks like that was issued back in November. Yeah, which is Okay. >> Which is a couple months ago. Okay. Did you Have you Have you gotten pulled over or anything like that or any mail from the DMV? No. No? I thought I have a letter at home that says that I need to carry it with me at all times. Okay. Do you have uh form 431009? What is that? The form that the state has told you that you have to have with you while you're driving. Yeah. Do you have that with you? >> No, not not this one. Okay. But I have Yeah, I have my insurance. Okay. Do you have that insurance with you? >> [snorts] >> Why would I have her? I don't understand. Okay, what were you doing down over here? Are you supposed to be picking her up then or Yeah. Yeah. It's always a rough time. Those suck. They're hard to say goodbye to. They're best friends for many years and then it always sucks to put them down. >> It turned out Megan had previously been caught driving while suspended, which was why she was barred. According to the officer, she couldn't get her driver's license reinstated [music] until 2029. Still, he had doubts about her entire story and asked Megan to call her daughter to verify the details. Can you put it on speaker for me so I can >> Yeah, it's on speaker. Oh, I just couldn't hear it. Hey, are you okay? Are you home or you still at the vet's? Can you put it on speaker so I can hear it? I just can't hear her. Here, hold on. The police want to talk to you. Hello. Hello. Hey, are you Are you Megan's daughter? Mhm. Hey, where are you at right now? Um my house. Okay. Did Were you over here at Were you getting anything done at the doctor's office over here today? No. No, okay. You can go ahead and hang up. Her daughter denied her mother's version. Instead of being in the x-ray room, she was actually at home. Megan's story fell apart in seconds, and that opened up new questions. Go and step out for me. I'm really lenient on this kind of stuff, but when people lie to me, we're done. So, we're going to be going to jail tonight for driving while barred, so go ahead and step out for me. Yeah, I know. So, um do you have anything illegal on your person? No. No firearms, no marijuana, no drugs, nothing like that? Okay. Why are we lying about this? I was just nervous. 20 more security questions if you guys So, did we know we were barred? No, I didn't. I honestly don't. I didn't I do not understand that. >> So, why did you tell me that we were coming here to see your daughter? Cuz I just I just got scared. Okay. So, where were you coming from earlier today then? My daughter's dad's home or my son's dad's house. >> What's his name? Okay. >> He just told my son that Where does he live at? On um What Do you know his address? Sorry. Um I can't look at my phone. Yeah, if you could for me. Was there a no contact order in place between the two of you? No. There's not? No. Are you sure about that? Yes. Understandable, Megan's claims needed to be questioned. A short time later, the officers found an illegal substance in her purse and soon they discovered she had also lied about not having a contact order with the father of her children. Is this going to be THC? It might have a trace of it, yeah. Is it like THC oil or what? It's like a CBD blend or something. Okay, where did you get this from? My ex My ex-husband gave it to me. Where did he get it from? Like Colorado? Maybe, yeah. Who's your ex-husband? Okay, well I'm going to tell you this, too, is he has a no contact order with you that just hasn't been served. What? >> So, I would be cognizant of that. Cuz it's in our system that's just not served. So, if I run Somebody runs into him around him, they're going to serve him his no contact order where he can't be contacting you at all. That he >> So, where did this come from? I can look at what county it's through again, but I I would to them if you're wanting it dropped. So, when I test this, is it going to come back as THC? Yeah, it'll it'll have some in it, I'm sure. So, just go ahead and turn around, put your hands behind your back. Absolutely. >> [snorts] >> Nothing else on your person at all? Megan was handcuffed and placed in the back seat of the patrol car. She claimed the marijuana was a blend containing only a small amount of THC, but the officers soon tested it and confirmed the THC content was very high. Oh girl, that's THC all day. Smell it. Oh, you can smell >> Hm? What am I testing? Yeah, I will be. She said I'll be able to test it. See that girl? See how it's changing colors from purple? Purple on bottom and it's light on top. Yeah, that means it's THC. What was that? Yeah, if it's testing in here then it's over what you can legally have. And either way when you have hemp you can't inhale it, that's illegal as well. Meghan was taken to jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving while barred. When a Karen piles up charge after charge, it's not always out of a sense of privilege. [music] Sometimes she's just trying to hide something that could send her to prison for a long time. And once the cops smell her fear, it's only a matter of time before they uncover what she's hiding.
