They'll talk big, act bigger, and hope nobody calls their bluff. But the moment they try that act on law enforcement, that's when cops give wannabe tough guys a much needed reality check. Do not tell me that you will be my You do not tell me that you will be my >> You don't touch me. I'mma touch. >> I will make the rules here. >> You won't make no rules. >> On January 7th, 2025, a man called law enforcement for help at the DMV because he didn't have the correct documents to renew his driver's license. But what started as a calm interaction quickly escalated into pure chaos. >> Hey, how you brothers doing? >> Good. What's going on, man? >> All right, so the situation is this. I got all my information. I was coming to renew my uh ID. >> Excuse me. I'm in the state by you. >> I was coming to renew my ID. My birthday was on Christmas, right? So, I can't do nothing. I got to check. I can't cash because I got to re do my what's wrong. I came to get my uh new ID. But I asked for my real ID, right? And she told me that I needed my social security card. I said, "Ma'am, you got it on file. I don't have my social security card, but I have my your social security card with my name, my birth certificate, my address. I'm renewing my address again and she told me I need my physical uh what's his name? So I say okay but I came here when I first moved out here to get it might sound like I'm yelling but my voice. So uh I told her I came and got a ID showed her the previous ID I got from this facility which I would have needed what >> my birth certificate and social security card. >> So that's on file. So I say I'm already on file. All I want is my real ID. >> The man was not going to get his real ID that day. Instead of simply fetching the correct documents and returning, he wasted the officer's time. >> Do you have like the list of what stuff you can use? Cuz I know I try to do the same thing here too where I needed my actual physical social security card cuz they won't do they won't take anything else even if it's on file >> cuz they want to verify that it's you and you have control. >> Okay. But my ID is my ID, right? >> So when I come up here, my picture on there, right? >> Yeah. So they can't say it's not me. If you looking physically in my face, see the same person with the same name. >> But what they do is beyond us, too. >> I get that too. But that's not the law, my man. That's all I'm saying. It's not the law, bro. >> It's not the law. I'm only The only reason I call to law is to enforce the law because that's not the law. Do I need to Can you You got your phone just so it don't think that I'm manipulating. Pull up Chevron versus America and it's going to tell you >> we're not going to stand here. You have to go. >> That's what I'm saying. Like I paid for my ID. Where's my ID? >> Come on, bro. So now I'm going to get robbed, bro. This my receipt. This what they gave me. >> They want like you know what? Just lower. Come on, babe. Like, bro. Like, all I wanted to know was, "Can I have both? Can I have both of you guys' car, please?" Thank you. >> It didn't take too long before he put on the tough guy act and insisted he knew the law better than the actual officers. And when they calmly explained that the situation was out of their hands, he shifted gears. >> Okay, y'all have a good You do not want me to go see if I can get your money back. >> Sounds good. All right. Thank you. Excuse me. What's that? >> Did you just threaten me? >> Did you just threaten me? >> Did you just threaten me? I suggest you get in that car before I get through. Really? >> You don't make no rules. >> Don't touch me. Turn around. >> Don't touch me, bro. >> Turn around. Don't touch me. It's unclear what the suspect expected when he threatened to beat up the officers, but he took off like a coward when the officers showed him they meant business. After being asked multiple times to turn around and put his hands behind his back, he decided to run away. Okay. >> 3331. It seemed like the suspect ran out of energy, so he decided to give up and beg for mercy. However, the officers were not going to take his please seriously. After catching up to him, they placed him under arrest. >> I don't want no smokes. >> Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. No me. >> Get out the car right now. >> Come on. Come on. >> I like that enough about you. electricity 1128. That's why you feel I came up here for a prop and y'all rest me cuz you got an ego prop. On February 12th, 2023, New Mexico law enforcement officers were dispatched to a crowded restaurant following a report of a drunk guy trying to incite a bar fight. When the officers arrived, the staff pointed them to the direction of the suspect. >> What's up, man? Hey, man. How are you guys? Good. How are you? >> I pick him up once already. He just keeps going. >> Yeah. I have a seat. >> Hey, I have a seat. >> I have a seat. >> This guy. >> You guys want him up? >> What's going on with this guy, man? >> This guy's trying to just fight this guy. You going to leave? Me? Are you me? >> No. If you leave, you're good to go. I want my >> you all read my rights. Where's my rights, man? >> Law enforcement officers do not need to read a detainee their rights unless they're being questioned by the officers. In this case, they're simply trying to remove him from the premises. He continued to be incredibly disrespectful to the bar owner, then turned his aggression onto the officers. Where's >> my right? >> We're not asking any questions, but It's on camera. Y'all suck so bad. >> Hey, what's my charge? You arresting me? >> We're figuring that out right now. >> What's my Yeah, you figure it out. >> As of right now, disorderly conduct. >> If they want to pursue charges, you're going to go in for disorderly conduct. >> All right, take a seat. >> You have a seat. You're getting fired. >> I'll see if they want to pursue for the trespassing. >> After he was secured in the backseat of the cruiser, one officer stayed to question him while the other went to talk to the witnesses and bar staff. >> Hey, what's your name? or else you will be going to jail for considentity. >> I don't tell you that you don't. >> So, you guys want to pursue charges for uh trespassing? >> He's not the one that wouldn't leave. Uh I don't know what his problem was. He was cool like 15 20 minutes ago. >> Walked in to see maybe if the guy that we were dealing with I figured that's why they were here. >> Yeah, that is >> we just walked into that. The man then kept demanding that they take his cuffs off, but refused to sit up straight in the police unit. He was treating it like his personal bed. Soon, a witness approached the officers to explain what the suspect had done to him. >> I don't know if you're the one arresting that dude. >> Yeah, I didn't do anything. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> that was crazy, dude. >> Yeah, >> I thought I knew him from softball and I was like, "What's up?" He said, "Who the are you?" You can't charge me for that. >> I haven't done nothing wrong. >> Sit down. Sit up straight, though, so you don't fall over you. At that point, all that was left was transporting the belligerent man to jail. When they reached the station, he put up the same behavior with the jail staff, who were far from impressed. >> Wait, what? What's the charge? Hey, what? >> You already told you. We told you like five times. >> No, you didn't tell me no charge. What's the charge? Okay, >> I'm sitting up. >> Get up by myself. Huh? >> Close. >> I can't wait. >> The suspect ended up passing out in the back of the police unit on the way to the local hospital. Unfortunately, when the officers woke the man from his sleep, he got a second wind of energy and came back even more entitled than before. >> I want your supervisor. Supervisor and Gary, you guys go like sort ofly >> sortly concealing and >> wow. >> Oh, okay. How about uh slavery, abuse of power? I didn't do nothing wrong. What? Yeah. Yeah. I didn't do anything. They're taking me out of the hospital. >> Help me. The suspect was charged with disorderly conduct, assault on a peace officer, and concealing identity. On October 16th, 2024, New York police responded to Hudson Regional Hospital after a man allegedly threatened to shoot up the building. According to security, it all started when they asked his girlfriend to stop smoking on hospital grounds. >> Hey, how you doing, sir? >> All right. >> Hey, you tell me what happening here? >> Yeah. Cigarette. >> Cigarette right here. I'm standing right there. Like not right here, but right over there in the front. Right. And that way right there. You see where the siren at? Uh-huh. Right there. Like so just right here with me and you. I ain't going nowhere. And boy, my surgery, you don't even have to be here. >> The suspect told officers he was upset with security for telling his girlfriend not to smoke on hospital grounds. But apparently, he didn't take their warning seriously either since he was also smoking on hospital grounds as he was talking to the officers. >> You getting treated or you getting treated, man? I ro the hospital is mine. I could buy you. >> Okay, I buy you. >> So, you got ID with you just so I could like write that we stoing all that? Dog, I don't got my ID like >> You don't got your ID with you? >> I don't got my wallet. >> All right, sir. Just just hold on, though. But like I said, this is just protocol. This is kind of how it is. You know, we just get down your information just in case anything, you know, >> ain't nothing happening, bro. I'm about to have a good day. Thank you. >> No, sir. So, what? >> My address is irrelevant >> cuz I'm not going nowhere. You're not here. No, not >> even though the security guards reported the man threatening the safety of everyone in the hospital. The man denied everything and tried to end the conversation. >> All right. But again, just to get your side of the story. So, just smoking the cigarettes. >> You outside though? >> Right here. Right over there. right there where that garbage can at literally. >> But you guys didn't get physical or anything like that. >> Yo, he just said some words. But do I have >> No, I don't put my leg. >> But yo, my voice is hard like that when it's coming and it's grief and it's escalating. The man then flaunted that he was a millionaire and how he was tougher than everyone, but refused to tell officers what he really said. >> Why you asking her anything? >> Sir, >> sir, listen. Listen, listen. >> Nothing. When you don't ask her nothing. You ask me. See, that's your problem with the woman. >> But it's on me. My is supposed to be in my >> asking me. >> Don't go to my woman. I'm insecure and very >> After getting riled up every time the officer spoke to his girlfriend, it became clear the suspect had some serious ego issues. To calm things down, the officers decided to separate the couple. That way, they could talk to the man alone without him fixating on his girlfriend the whole time. >> If it's what you're saying, you're saying that he said he was going to you up. And then you said you said I would >> Oh yeah. Look, man. What's the [ __ ] man, man? No. >> But that's why we're here, man. We didn't just show up here. Obviously, you know, we got calls here. Try to give him a hard time, huh? >> Boy. >> Yeah. I mean, listen. I I know, but come on. That ain't no second folks here. >> But but but you're say, >> but it's not about the second. That's their rule. I can't control what they want to do. >> I used to be a security guy. I understand. But know what men and women is. The lead officer got a phone call confirming that the suspect's threats had been audio recorded. Moments later, the security guards came out to escort the girlfriend back inside. And from there, it was clear the man was going to be arrested. >> I ain't do nothing. My rules are right. Don't follow y'all. Pull a cigarette right there. I ain't blew mine. Okay. I did not touch this matter. All right. Question my life. All right. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> What happened? >> Wait, hold on. Say don't. Just put your hands behind your back. >> Turn out. What am I? >> Put your hands behind Alexander. I ain't doing nothing to him. >> Wait. Turn him out. Come on. Wait. Hold on. Hold on. >> Stop calling out. >> Hold on. Can I call my girl? >> John, come on. Talk to her for you. >> I'm out. But she needs to come with me now. >> Right now, >> funny how fast the tough guy act disappeared the moment the handcuffs came out. But the arrest shouldn't have come as a surprise to him considering that he threatened to shoot up a hospital as the shock set in. He had a growing number of questions for the officers. >> What the is going on? He gave me a mother procedure. I'm not calling the child, man. That's not right. You can't make those clays. You can't make those things. >> I ain't saying I'm going to bomb this. That's a lie. That's >> Wait. Um, >> yo, >> wait. You go get your car. Get your car. >> Hey, mom. I'm going to jail. Have a seat. >> What's up with my operation? >> We'll find out later. You had to get in the car. >> Y in the car. >> The officers searched the suspect and didn't find any weapons or illegal items. But since he was still agitated, they played the one card they knew might work. Letting his girlfriend calm him down. >> John, you got to relax. All right. Look, your procedure. We'll find out. >> My procedure? Yeah, it's today. I supposed to be going today. So, what the am I going to figure out? She's right here. I don't know if >> I don't know. He led them on a foot chase around the airport. >> Property, bro. >> Put your ass on the back. You're under arrest. >> Property, bro. One officer was understandably upset with the suspect for punching him in the face while the suspect was under the impression that he was being wrongfully arrested. >> You have a bunch of you guys [ __ ] Now I'm not coughing. >> Stop. Let me get up. >> You're not getting up. >> Not getting up. >> You're sitting in my back. You're tough now because I got my hands on my back. >> You're tough. I forgot you're hurts, bro. When the officer declined, he proceeded to call them morons. The officers needed to get the man off the ground so they could place him in the police unit. >> Good luck. >> Come on. Come on. Don't fall away. >> Let me walk. You're the one. Let me walk. Let's go. >> All right. >> Hide me and let me walk. You're hurting my arm. >> You're hurting my arm. >> Let me walk. All right. The first time [Music] the other time look >> All right, we don't need to see that. But broken. >> Step down. Step down. I'm not spitting on anybody. I can't deal with it. >> Watch your head. Oh, you're going to sit in the car now. >> Let me Let me Let me pull my nose. Let me pull my nose. >> Look out. >> The door is in front of you. >> All right. You're back first. You're back first. There you go. >> Watch your head. >> Watch your head. >> Sit. >> Sit. >> There you go. >> Now your legs. The officers took a moment to recover from all the chaos that the disrespectful man had caused. Now that they had the suspect safely secured, they were now able to talk to the witnesses and airline staff. >> So, what's going on with this? >> So, here, just FYI, let me show you the video cuz we don't have time. We've got a lot of talk >> anything physical at >> He did not, but he was in all of our faces, but he was rubbing up against the guy in the back. Um, but this is >> this is him up front with me. I was not a part of the original situation. >> What was the original situation? >> But here look, that's his original seat. >> I asked them to stop hunting. I have a baby that has kids sitting in the front. I have all kind of >> Did he take the shirt? Did he take the shirt off? Cuz they're saying he's wearing a white pants. >> Okay. >> He has a blue crop. >> Blue sword. >> Uh black short, blue crop. >> In the video that the flight attendant showed the officer, the man was seen yelling at the crew in front of other passengers. According to the flight attendant, the man got angry because another passenger wouldn't give up their assigned seat just so he could be more comfortable. >> How you doing? How are you? >> Tell me what happened. He just slammed himself down. He was getting all >> Yeah. So, what happened is that originally when I got on the plane, it was already people in my seat. >> So, she had mentioned that let's all go to our original seat and after go to the original seat and we'll move everybody around. >> Okay. So, she was helping everybody move to the original seat. I got into my original seat. I sat down and then when I sat down, he told me, I'm going to make sure they have a miserable flight. I'm a big guy. And he put his daughter's leg on my foot. And that's when I just told her that listen, I can't do that to the sky. >> The word. >> Yeah. And he's even like hit my head through through the window and stuff like that. >> What? >> The man was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and battery on a law enforcement officer. He was sentenced to one-year probation, anger management courses, and fines. On August 26th, 2024, a man was kicked out of a nightclub by the bouncer. When officers arrived, the man claimed he didn't do anything wrong. >> You said you were going to knock me out, so you leave. >> Bye-bye. >> Have a great night. I don't want to talk at all. >> Bro, >> I literally just got yolked the up out of there. I didn't say nobody. I'm trying to speak to this dumb and I will everybody s everybody in here. I will beat these up. >> I'm three and up. >> What's up? What's up? Come on. What's up? You're underrest. Stop. What's up? arrest. You want >> New York? Stop. You're under arrest, brother. Stop under arrest. Stop under for once. >> Stop. Stop. Turn around. >> It's very strange that the man decided to fight the bouncer only when the police arrived. It's like he knew the police would hold him back so he wouldn't lose the fight in front of everybody. After being cuffed, the man seemed to regain his sanity and calm down. >> Can I just speak to y'all for real? Y'all got all my possessions? >> Yeah, we got your hair. All right, we got your shirt. All right. And my glasses. >> Your glasses. Let me see if we can bring your glasses, >> brother. Here we go. Come on, man. Can Can I just speak to your ride there, man? >> Go ahead. Come on. Come on. But can I just speak to you? >> Let's just speak, bro. Come on. My ride's right here. >> Your shirt off and start swinging at us. What are you crazy? >> I didn't swing at you guys. I swung at him. But look, >> can I just say something? You could say it while I'm putting you in the car. >> All right. But look, >> what do you got on you? Cuz you got to be out of your mind, right? >> Hey, I know. Look, I can't, man. I just get mad. Damn. >> I should put your your glasses on, right? >> I I fight you in the USC, brother. >> You can't do that out here, my brother. >> I got yolked the out of there for no reason cuz of two people that had >> trying to talk about it. >> Nobody's trying to talk to me. You guys know that. Nobody is talk to me out here. And you guys know that. Look, man. You see have Okay. Okay. Sure. I've had to drink, but I can speak to y'all. >> I'm speak to y'all, bro. >> I just got your up out of there for >> When they arrived at the police station, the suspect proceeded to act like he was the victim despite the body cam footage showing how he tried to attack the innocent bouncer. >> Cool. I'm here, but that up, man. I don't do nothing to nobody. I was looking for my people. Some guy came up to me. Yo, you shouldn't do that. But do what? Out of nowhere, some guy comes up and strangles me. Next thing you know, two security guards are pushing me the out the club. Yo, you're about to get jumped, >> my brother. For what? >> That's >> for what? I'm trying to figure out I'm dropping. These guys are pushing me out the club. I'm dropping, bro. Just come on. Just speak to me. >> The guy that dropped me back, man. I'm kind of up. So, I don't even know who dropped me back. It was one of these two. >> So, look, I'll I'll explain it to you. All right. >> Yeah, man. And I I'll just let me just I'll let you keep going. Let me just intervene real quick. So this officer right here, >> he only transported you. Okay. >> Okay. >> This officer, me and the officer in charge of the ship, >> we're just here just I'm just talking with you and they're doing paperwork. We were only dealing with the paperwork aspect. >> Okay. So the two officers down there, the captain and the sergeant, they're the ones who made the arrest. All right. moving. >> The man admitted to being a little drunk, which may have contributed to his non-stop rambling. He seemed to think he was smarter or wiser than the officers and talk to them in a condescend world. The reason why I am the way I am is because I understand exactly how this world works, exactly how people are. >> Mhm. >> Yet everybody just doing their job. That's what it is. >> Yeah. >> And the factors come in through that. >> Factors that we can't control come into play. >> Mhm. you know, >> cool. But that's what makes who I am. >> I got you. >> And that's why I just get mad, man. That's why I'm here, you know. And I try I try I sell solar for a living, bro. I work with corporate. I'm from New York. >> Oh, god. >> And two different side things I can handle. I went to Pace University, bro. I got a I got a business degree. Nice. >> You know, but I'm here though. >> How'd you like Pace? >> Well, I mean, it was good. I would never I would never I regret that I've done is crazy expensive. I'm in debt because of it now. >> Same. But I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it the same way. >> Met the people that I met. Glad for it. Got the education that I needed what I needed from it. >> Well, how did you get down here? Did you guys drive down here? Are you staying somewhere? >> No, I drove, man. But it's just like I drove. I wasn't lit. I mean, at this point, that's good. Yeah. But like I drove I I'm with two other people. >> Yeah. With two other I was literally waiting for them and that's when the altercation happened. I was waiting for them at the and the same guy came up to me. So you >> after officers took his photo, the suspect started saying he'd be back at the same club next weekend. But when he was released nearly 5 hours later, he was still rambling on about how the club treated him. >> I had a question, brother. >> What's up, man? >> Four dudes come up to you. Two of those being people employees. I'm sorry. Employee stuff just start hands on you out of nowhere. So, oh, you about to get jumped. You about to get judged. >> I'm just here. I have no I have no reason why I have no idea why. >> Right. I wasn't there either, man. >> I know. I know. I'm just You know what? What did you do? Four people. Two of those having to be employees manhandling, yoking you up, trying to get you out of the club. Nobody's explaining to you what the hell's happening. >> Nobody wants to hear the person that's talking until he actually starts swinging. >> Yeah, man. >> That's all I'm saying, brother. Nobody wants to hear me. >> That's right. That's why I don't go to places like that, man. >> That's what I'm saying. I don't either, bro. This is not my scene. I was just literally waiting for my friend to get out the bathroom. Somebody called me a man. I told Elizabeth about you have too many females like that in your around you to be talking like that. His friend comes up by me and guillotine chokes me. >> Yeah. >> The suspect went on to say that he only had $12 left to his name because he dropped all his money at the club. Perhaps that's why he wouldn't stop ranting to the prison staff. He was frustrated the officers didn't let him go back to retrieve his things. >> You guys You guys are are officers of the law, man. There's so much more factors than this. You can't just see somebody coming, getting dragged up out of a club, and then, oh, he's the bad guy. No, it doesn't even matter, bro. >> That's on all frontiers cuz now I don't even have money to get back to PA cuz if I go to DJs, they're probably all going to laugh at me. And I'm going to then that's going to get the best of my character cuz everybody is always playing games, brother. I have demons >> battling demons in here trying every single day to not let the anger get the best of me. >> And no matter what, people always bring you into their It doesn't matter whether you're the nice guy. It doesn't matter whether you're the good guy waiting on minding your own damn business. People will force their agendas on to you anyway. And it doesn't matter. >> The man was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and trespassing. On June 28th, 2023, officers were called to a bar regarding a group of drunk men who were causing a commotion. It seemed like they were going to have to investigate the situation for a while until they learned that the whole thing was recorded on CCTV camera. >> Supposedly, you punched someone in the chest. >> Where? >> At the bar you were just at. What's >> uh the same one that I saw you go get out here can I tell you it was me >> over there for me >> you sit over there for me >> are you guys just playing games >> no sit over there okay >> it was me >> come over here for a minute >> here >> okay right now >> what happened you can tell me your story or I can just hear theirs >> my story about what >> okay what happened >> about what >> about why am I here >> exactly Why shirt off? >> What? What? What happened? >> Because I'm on my way home and we've walked through multiple properties that we're not drinking at. What's the problem with that? >> Problem with what? >> With me taking my shirt off. >> What's a little unusual? >> Here you go. >> What? >> What is that? >> That's my credit card. >> Trying to pay me or something? I don't take I don't do that kind of stuff, sir. >> Oh. So, what's your problem then? What What What do you want? >> A little aggressive. >> Because you want to be special. You're not making any sense right now, sir. >> Exactly. And neither are you. Shut this down. Let it be done. Let me go back to my I go home tomorrow. You can take a seat right over here. >> I don't even know what's going on. This is soing ridiculous. I'll never spend a dollar in your town again. >> Right from the start, the man was aggressive toward the officer. His friends tried to step in and take him home, but the officers weren't about to put up with his nonsense. >> What happened? >> Shut up. I don't know what you're talking about. What are you talking about? What are you talking about? >> I'm not talking to you right now. >> What are you doing? >> I'm investigating. >> What are you investigating? >> Oh my god. You're such a what you wanted to investigate. I don't know what the talking about. I don't know. I have to say put your in your face and figure. I have nothing to say off your investment. I'm ready to walk away. Can I walk away? >> No, you cannot. >> Can I walk away? Am I Am I under are you being tank? Am I Am I guarded? >> Okay. >> The battery. Yes. >> Okay. >> The man kept refusing to follow orders while his friends kept interfering. Eventually, the bartender came outside to tell the officers what really happened. >> I don't know what the hell happened, but all a sudden, he just ran through the bar over the school and then threw it out in the street. So, he came back over. He had a tab. I had him sign his tab and he kept trying to force his way on property. And my other guy, uh, Jay, security guy, stepped up and said he'd step off property and he swung his back end and hit him in the face. And then I grabbed him and pushed him off. He kept coming back over there, wound up fighting. All this other stuff kept running his mouth. Other guys calmed him down and walked him away a little bit, but then he kept trying to keep coming back, keep coming back. The other guy wanted to press charges, so we called guys and then he gets over here, start takes off his shirt and keeps wanting to advance over this way. And then you guys showed up. >> The officers placed one of the suspect's friends in handcuffs for repeatedly interfering. After getting the bartender statement, the officers finally had probable cause to arrest the man for battery and put him in handcuffs. >> I've got I'm shut up, man. >> Your turn. Stand up for me. >> For what? >> For battery. >> Battery place. Stand up. >> What did I do? >> Then place your hands behind you back. >> Oh, no. I'm fine. I I got charged battery or what? >> This is fake as >> No, this is real life, sir. >> No, but who the hit >> on the back? >> Wow. You got >> here. Face the car right here. Spread your feet apart. >> Anything on you that's going to cut me, stick me, poke me, hurt me at all. >> Wow. >> Take a seat. >> No. This is so wrong. That is so wrong. Your mama's gonna >> Why am I going to jail for some [ __ ] I just sat there and did knock the door. >> I ain't do nothing violence to you. I ain't do just sat there just wandering. The officers left the suspect alone in the squad car to cool down since he was clearly drunk and agitated. Meanwhile, another officer went back inside the bar to review the security footage showing him hitting Jay, the security guard. I guess since we're right here, I'll show you the the hitting incident. >> He threw a chair like 3 minutes before this. >> Okay. Could you just play that back? I'm going to get that on my phone. >> Absolutely. >> All right. Got it. >> Cool. You going to mute the chair thing? >> Yeah. Okay. Let's do the chair thing. Do you all want to charge him with the damage to property? >> Might as well, right? >> Yeah. >> When I get out, I am going to create a inventory and the hardest I've ever had to your lives and you the way you treat people. This is going to be great. >> The suspect was still going crazy in the back seat when the officer got in to drive him to prison. The officer also discovered that the suspect's license had expired, which could earn him another charge. >> Why does it got to be like this, man? >> This makes no sense, man. >> Hey, at least I was courteous. Courteous enough to put two uh two handcuffs on you. We're walking this way. For what? For jail. For what? For battery. For who? For you. Do you really think you won this one? >> There's no winners and losers in this. >> Who did I bad at? >> You battered a a freaking bouncer, you know. Look, look, look. I get you. I get it. >> Yeah. Look at me. I'm Look, >> why? Why would you do something like that? So stupid. >> You really believe that? >> You're older than that. You're older than that. >> I'm older than that. I'm far than that. That makes no sense. That's frat boy stuff. >> That's frat boy. >> That's what I'm saying. I'm looking >> here with on spring break, not in the dead of summer. >> No. Look. >> All right. Take a seat on the bench. >> But it literally makes no sense to me or you. What the you talking about? >> Unfortunately, the cameras don't lie. >> For what? >> For you hitting a bouncer in the neck. >> Bring that up. >> Bring that up. I mean, it'll be up in court. You've been making threats to me, saying you're going to kill me once you get out. I'm I'm going to note that in the report for your lawyer to read. >> I just >> What the you talking about? >> The suspect was charged with battery and his friend who is repeatedly getting in the way was charged with obstructing. On November 7th, 2024, Summit County officers responded to a shots fired call. An elderly man had been shot in the face after trying to merge back onto the road. He had accidentally driven into the bike lane and sideswiped a white van that refused to let him merge. The van driver got out, shot the elderly man, and then fled the scene. >> I was headed the other direction getting ready to turn left at that light up there, but I saw I saw the two vehicles side by side in my rearview mirror >> and I heard them arguing. And then you were right behind you said. >> Yeah. I pulled off to the side and I put some pressure on his head. My work car is right there. Fits the 18. There's no dash cam on it. >> No. >> I was with her and we were on this this way down the road and we stopped and we saw the gentleman fighting and yelling and I couldn't see in the white man and I was like Crystal I said like the boomers are fighting and I feel so bad about it. I'm sorry, but I was like, who that who fights anymore? You know, and then I saw the white man pull the gun, shoot him in the face like four to five times and pulled up and jumped out and I said, "Are you okay?" And he stood out, the black gentleman, he said, "No, I'm not okay." And I grabbed my blanket out of my car and wrapped it around his head and I could I just couldn't I and I said >> that's how I ended up there. >> Yeah. And I looked at him. I was like, "I can't wrap it." I knew we could wrap it tight, but I couldn't. So, and that's what we saw. >> It looked like it was over for a minute because they both started to like pull off and then the one in the white van just started then started shooting. >> Based on the witness statements, the situation happened very quickly. At that point, it was up to the officers to find the suspect before he got away for good. >> It's the house after the You should see the van. Is it that van or a truck? Keep going. It's the first house on the right past Austin. >> Hands. hands. >> Okay. Okay. Just listen. Okay. Where's the firearm? >> Okay. >> Stay back. >> Don't just don't move. Okay. >> Stay back. >> No. >> I'll go. Hands. >> Okay. >> Put your hands on the back of your head. >> Okay. >> Face away from me. Walk back towards the sound of my voice. >> I'm in line with you. >> All right. Keep coming. Keep coming. Keep coming. >> Okay. Sorry. I I just You're all right. I'm I'm no fire. You're all right. >> Just drive. >> Put the >> I didn't Sorry. I did I'm not fighting anything. I'm not doing anything. I'm >> You guys are all right. I promise there's nobody in there. >> You guys going? >> I'm the only one in there. >> After placing the subject in handcuffs, their first priority was to get the firearm away from him and ensure that the van was indeed empty. >> Where's the firearm at? >> Right here on my hip. It's in a holster. It's It is loaded. You can grab the whole clip and just pull the whole holster offs you like. Please be careful with my shoulders messed up real. >> I got your phone, dude. >> Oh, sorry. Sorry. I'm just holding on to it. >> Take him to a car. Do a good search on him. Okay. You guys hit it open. >> Uh, no, but there's no one, man. Freaking >> Yeah, I don't know. It's >> I >> Yeah, it's We got his uh >> He had the firearm on his head. Soon, the police spotted an elderly female bystander who had been recording the suspect's arrest. They learned through the suspect that this woman was his mother. The officers questioned the woman to get her story. >> He was trying to wreck into him to get him. >> Okay. >> And he had already pulled a gun and he said he pulled his gun. >> Okay. >> And that's all I know. >> All he said is he pulled his gun. He didn't say what happened after he pulled his gun. >> No. >> Okay. This guy wrecked into me and when I stopped in traffic, sir pulled a dirt on him and then aimed it at me. >> I was just reacting to self-defense officer. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, he didn't he just said he pulled his gun on it. He didn't say what he did with the gun or anything like that. >> No, he he said he had his gun. He has this gun, >> but he didn't he didn't say what he did with the gun. >> Oh, I not to me. He did. >> Okay. So, um, he fired it, >> did he? >> And shot someone. Um, so that's what we're here investigating. I'm trying to figure out what was said to you. What did he say about why he was going to meet you over at Ravenswood? Just >> I think he was close here and he has children at home. >> He was He's He has children. Who's with the kids right now? >> I'm not sure. >> It's probably his girl. Perhaps the father of three should have thought a little harder before shooting someone in the face. >> Well, I'm I'm I just want to make sure I didn't hit nobody innocent, man. >> Uh that I don't know. I can't give you >> Okay. This guy pulled a gun on me. Officer, I don't >> I don't know. Hey, officer. >> Could I uh if I'm going to jail, could I at least say bye to my daughter and wife? They're right over there. Is it Is it the one in the >> Yeah, the one that's crying over there. >> Yeah. Yeah. I I don't know what >> I I think he said I was going six. So I I imagine that's going downtown at least. >> Oh, six. >> Is that what that is? I thought I heard that. Is that jail? >> No, that's uh if you heard him right. It said six. That's like uh the DV like interview detectives interview room. Oh, >> okay. Could I ask you a question? Yeah. Was there anybody innocent hit down there? that I don't know. Uh we were myself wasn't >> I kind of freaked out when he aimed the gun at my face and uh I I shot and jumped in the back of my van and and because I thought he was going to pull up shooting at me and then I just took off and I'm freaking out. I don't know what to do. My my wife thinks I'm about to go to jail for a murder. So they're like really freaking out right now. The officers then moved the suspect into a different squad car to take him in for questioning with the detective. Because he had been mostly cooperative, they allowed him to say goodbye to his family who were understandably distraught by what was happening. >> So, I was in self-defense. >> We're going to we're going to figure this out. We're going to get through this. Okay. Hey, babe. The man pulled a gun and planted it in my face. Okay. It's going to be all right. Hey, you're going to be all right. >> I don't know what's going on, but we'll just play it one day at a time. Okay. I don't know what what's going on yet. >> Uh if he doesn't go to jail, he'll call from there. Um if he doesn't, he'll call from your cell phone. >> I am playing with stuff. Take care of it. Don't worry, dear. >> You only know your boss, Rick's phone number. >> All right. I'm going to go ahead and I got to take down the station now, guys. >> Wait. Thank you guys for letting us >> be all right. Okay, baby. I was acting in self-defense. Okay. I love you. I love you, baby. >> Make sure you're all right with her. Okay. Be all right. Okay. >> The suspect was charged with felonious assault and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Hey, we've witnessed what happens when men try to act tough in front of some nononsense law enforcement officers. Hopefully, their time in prison served as a hard lesson in staying humble.
