Do you mind if we talk to him alone? >> No, I want to hear what it is. >> Just tell me. >> Well, I'll tell you. Let me We talk to them. >> No, I want to know. >> You sure? She didn't say I'm going to get in the car and sit. >> No, she I said, "Are you sure?" She said, "Yeah." >> I think you're full of >> Hi, baby. Because >> she thought she knew the man she married until one discovery shattered everything. In a single instant, trust turns into shock. And the truth is far worse than anyone expected. This is the moment wives discover their husband's sick secret. Look at you just too. >> I'll take both of those. Where's he at? >> I don't know. I don't know. >> Did he make any statements or >> No. Well, the last thing I said to him was, "You're going to prison." Then he left. >> On August 24th, 2024, police responded to a residence in Cedar Springs, Michigan, after a woman discovered something shocking on her husband's phone. She expected to find messages proving he had been cheating on her, but what she found was far worse than she could ever have imagined. >> Found some stuff on my husband's phone. >> Where's he at? >> He left cuz he knew. >> He knew. >> Yeah, I took He was acting really weird this morning about his phone. Yes. [snorts] >> My dad. Yeah. That's my mom. He was acting really weird4. So I >> 424 [snorts] >> and Robert even yellow >> title or whatever >> like it I don't know. >> Okay. I can't search it. That's his phone. >> Yeah. >> I can't search it. >> Okay. >> Okay. [snorts] >> I am not asking you to search it. >> I will search it. >> I'm not asking I'm not asking you to and I'm [snorts] not making you an agent of the state. I understand that if I go through it, that's not going to mess up any investigation. >> As far as I I'm not going to ask you to >> Okay, but can I willfully? >> It's up to you. >> It was a shocking discovery. Cheating is bad enough, but discovering CP on her husband's phone was downright shocking. It must have been hard for her to call the police on her own husband, but she did the right thing, as crimes like these are anything but victimless. [music] Has he ever been in trouble for this type of thing? >> Not to my knowledge. Okay. [snorts] >> I took his computer, too. >> Yeah. >> I'll take both of those. Where's he at? >> I don't know. I don't know. >> Did he make any suicidal statements or >> No, the last thing I said to him was, "You're going to prison." Then he left. Sorry, I have Can I show up to you? >> That's as far as I got. [snorts] >> Where is that? Is that a website? >> Yeah. >> Is that [snorts] Is it just a picture or >> Yeah, it's like a AI thing. >> She told the officer that once she saw the content, she felt calling the police was her only option. The officer knew that if her husband Mark had CP on his phone, there was a good chance he had more stored on his other devices. >> I have computer. >> Is that the only electronics you have access that you're aware of? Well, we have a PlayStation 5 and then my daughter has a couple games, but >> I'm over here. Is that the only video that you saw or was there any videos or was it just that? >> I haven't looked through it. You guys >> do you have that open still so I can just run me through how this all played out. So, I was sitting there 8 months old to bed >> and we we're supposed to have a truck out and >> he just disappeared. >> And after I got settled down, I was trying to find him and I walked out to our garage side door and he like threw his phone in his pocket and standing in here and looked all razled and I was like, "What? What? What's that?" And he was like, "Oh, I was just talking to Eddie, which is his friend, and he was acting really weird, so he like grabbed me, blower, and started blowing the grass out of the garage, and I took it out of his pocket and walked away with it, and he bothered me cuz I >> She said that after she took Mark's phone, the two got into a heated argument. His reluctance to let her see the contents of his phone only solidified her idea that he had been hiding something from her. eventually was like if I give it to you like pass coat and we had a conversation and I was like no like or I said yeah pass code and he did and then I was like okay now you can go I didn't look at it yet and and then they showed up so I got kids ready cuz I wanted them to leave cuz I thought he was cheating so I thought we were going to have a conversation about that so they get the two kids and walk out >> and then I pull it up told my dad to come back in with me so I could grab my stuff and go cuz I was just going to go to the police station with this but I just had to call you guys because I'm so disgusted. >> Did he say anything to you about what you saw? >> So when I w I went back in the room I was still in pajamas started early and to get dressed and I looked around the corner in our bedroom to our master bathroom and I said, "You're going to prison." And I just walked out. >> Were you saying anything in response? >> No. The officer confiscated Mark's phone, but a forensic search turned up no child essay material. Mark claimed that he had just been using AI to generate images. However, a search of his laptop uncovered more than 100 images of child essay material. As a result, he was brought to the station for an interview. I wanted to give you an opportunity to explain what was on that laptop because like we spoke about before, I mean, this is your opportunity to bear everything. >> Mhm. >> And what I told you before is I feared that and I have I still have concern that >> what was on the laptop. >> Mhm. either you're not accepting that that's yours or you're trying to pawn it off on somebody else >> and it's not getting to the root of your issues. >> Right. I'm not trying to pawn it off on it, but like I said, I don't think anybody else would have access to it cuz I don't know. But um I mean I I downloaded a thing called the probably a long time ago which had like a lot it was like a it was like a leak um of of people's uh pictures or something. [music] So I downloaded that. So there was probably I think probably a bunch of pictures of random stuff. Um I don't know what would be on there. Mark had an excuse for everything. He didn't deny that there could be CP on his laptop, but he said that if there was, he didn't know anything about it, but due to the sheer volume of the content the officers uncovered, they weren't going to let him feain innocence by using ignorance as an excuse. >> So, let's talk specifically about [music] material that's on that laptop. I want to know where you got it. >> Yeah. I don't really I don't know what to tell you there. Um, I don't know why there would be anything actually associated on that laptop as far as that because I'd never downloaded anything like that or any like the only thing I've ever done was go to a website long time ago on it. Um, and it was like a forum website that just brings you to another website, [music] but I've never downloaded anything or anything like that cuz, you know, clearly I knew what I was doing was not right by any means. But I don't I never I've never had anything other than that. Um, yeah, I've never, you know, I've never watched a video or anything. These are all just pictures that are online. >> Okay. So the [music] pictures that were online, do you remember what the website was called? >> Uh, so the forum just takes you to random like number websites. So I don't I don't know. The forum was like um like something land [music] or something like that. >> Um, and then you click on something and it brings you to another website and then it's just an IP address basically. So, I don't recall exactly. >> Mark said that he had never downloaded CP in his life and had no idea why it would be on his computer, but the officers weren't going to let him get off that easily. He could swear up and down that he had no idea where it came from, but it was on his computer nevertheless. >> I just don't cuz I don't know how it could have gotten there. It doesn't make any sense to me. >> It doesn't make any sense, especially because you had over a hundred images. 22 of those files were recognized by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's database as having >> Yeah. So >> hash values that are child, >> but there is other there are those other images that [music] >> right >> are unknown. So I need to know where you got them. >> Like I said, the only thing I ever I know that I downloaded was the thing called the theing I think it was called and they might have been mixed in with that. I [music] don't know. >> Okay. But what about going to the website? >> No. >> No. >> Because that is traditional child [music] trade craft >> of one website to another to another to another. >> No matter how hard the officers pushed, Mark continued to stick to his story and feigned ignorance. As the officers wouldn't be able to rely on a confession, the evidence would have to speak for itself. That's where you want to end this is that you have no culpability of >> I really don't know how I don't I I promise I can't I can't tell you how that got on my laptop. I really don't know. >> So at this point you are under arrest for aggravated possession of material and using a computer to commit a crime >> right >> with 10 years or greater both those being 10ear felonies. So go ahead and kick your shoes off and empty your pockets. Everything out of the stable place. >> Mark was charged with aggravated possession of child's gift cereal and using a computer to commit a crime. He pleaded no contest to the possession charge in exchange for the computer crime charge being dropped. He faces up to 10 years in prison, a potential $50,000 fine, and a lifetime on the offender register. On December 27th, 2024, police officers received a cyber tip informing them that a Dropbox account was uploading and storing inappropriate content. Investigators gathered digital evidence and traced the activity to a specific residence. On January 23rd, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at the location. >> Police department, everyone come outside. >> No, I don't. Police department. Everyone come outside. >> That's all right. We'll get to step out. >> Come over here. >> All right. Stay here. It'll be a couple minutes. Then we'll bring you back inside. Stay here for now. >> The officers needed the couple out of the home while they searched and confiscated all electronic devices. At that point, they had no idea of why the officers were there or what they were looking for. >> I'm SC here with the Police Department. I'll explain everything in a sec. Okay. >> We're just going to clear the living room so we can have you guys take a seat on the couch and I'll talk with you guys. Okay, sounds good. >> I'll introduce myself again. I'm Detective Scraky. I know this is a shock to both of you, >> so I'll try to explain everything best I can. Are you guys the only people that reside here? >> Yes, >> we're the only red ones. Yes. >> All right. >> My alarm clock upstairs. I don't know if >> Yeah. No, you're good. We'll we'll figure it out. >> How long have you lived here? >> Uh, we bought November 14th of last year. So, a little over a year now. So, November 23 2024. >> 2023. >> No, 2023. He's right. It was right before the wedding. >> All right. And uh what internet service provider do you guys have? >> Exfinity. Comcast Xfinity. >> Pretty much since you moved in. >> Yes. >> The couple was in for a rude awakening. While there was a good chance her husband Tom knew what was going on. His wife was completely oblivious and was floored when the officer explained why they were there. Um what I do at the Elgato Police Department is I work internet crimes. So I'll explain what that entails. Um that is usually when I receive a what's what's called cyber tip from the company electronic service provider. [music] Um they'll say, "Oh, we located this on our platform. We need you to investigate it." And I'll look into that file legal process whether exit 13 and try and get more information. >> Okay. I've been having really like like hacking stuff pop up. >> Thomas, that's what I'd like to talk with you about. >> Um, is it okay while we have this discussion if it's in private if uh your wife maybe waits upstairs? >> That's okay. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> And I'll give you a copy of the search warrant, ma'am. You can look that over if you'd like while you're waiting. >> Tom's wife was visibly stunned and understandably so. Crimes of this nature are not taken lightly and often carry stiff penalties, including jail time. His wife went upstairs and Tom was read his Miranda rights before the officer continued questioning him. >> Uh, do you use any social media? >> No, I got rid of it all. That's what I started seeing was the weird stuff on. >> Uh, explain that. Uh, so you know like the uh when you like go to search for something, they were getting like these weird creepy search results and then like the recommended feed was getting filled with all this crap and I wasn't the one that searched it. I don't look at that crap and I just said, "Okay, [music] forget that. I'm done with all social media." I tried reinstalling it once with new profile, username, that sort of stuff, new password. Same started happening. So, I just deleted it again and didn't >> So, you said you noticed uh stuff coming up on your social media. >> Yeah. >> What kind of stuff? >> Like it was like like like gymnastics like gymnastics and I I'm I'm not searching for that. >> So, I decided I'm not going to I'm going to delete the account and not have that uh [music] I'm not going to be on that platform anymore. >> It was the oldest excuse in the book regarding digital crimes. Suspects routinely use ignorance as a defense, often blaming viruses, pop-ups, and forced downloads for the presence of illegal material. >> So, I'm going to preface what I say next with this, and it's very important that you're honest. [music] >> Um, so I I've done a lot of these cases and I have people explain all types of things. They [music] say, "I was looking at it out of curiosity. I've been hacked." But ultimately, um, those forensic uh examiners up there. It's their job to look through computers, cell phones, and they find what are called artifacts [music] of of searches of programs. Um so they're deter able to determine what's installed on devices, files people have been accessing their internet browsing history, all that kind of stuff. Um [music] so they're going to look through all that. And what my suspicion is is that you've been downloading and saving it to Dropbox [music] and ultimately they're going to determine the forensic artifacts associated with that. What I need you to do is to be [music] honest because when it comes to this stuff, it does not look good in someone's life. >> There was a good chance the officer already had evidence that Tom had intentionally searched [music] for and downloaded the illegal material, but he didn't want to play his cards yet. for now. He wanted to hear it directly from Tom. And >> I'll try to keep it as secret as I can and disclose as little as possible to her as I need to. Um, practically, but I just need you to be honest. How long you been looking at? >> When I was a minor myself. >> When you were a minor. >> Yeah. When you first see that kind of stuff. >> What? >> I don't remember. >> Do you remember what platform you saw that on? Um if you guys don't mind stepping on our way >> usually people remember when they discovered stuff is a file service kicked that was like a mobile >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> We'll wait till she goes back in the room. Okay. >> Now so it's a little bit quieter. Do you want to go sit at the dining room table so ask you a couple other questions? >> Yeah. It was a horrifying confession, but at least Tom was being honest. Respecting his privacy at the moment, the officer moved the interview into the dining room so his wife wouldn't overhear them talking. >> Have you ever produced child? >> No. >> When you were telling me before those were hacked. Is was that just a white lie? >> It's like 50/50. >> Okay. Yeah. What's the youngest you've seen when you >> And nothing surprises me. I I don't know >> if you could estimate the youngest age of uh anything you saw on there. >> I couldn't tell you. >> Uh probably younger than 13. Correct. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Gotcha. Um do you prefer photos or videos? I was I was going to say every I'm got a preference and I understand that I'm not asking you these questions to make you feel bad. Uh I'm just asking you them because they're part of the procedure type of questions. Okay. >> Um have you ever sought help for this? >> Not professional, but So >> you've never seen a therapist and told a therapist or anyone about this? I've seen therapists, but not that this hasn't been a discussion. >> The officer was doing a great job at making Tom feel comfortable considering the circumstances. Tom knew he was facing divorce and jail time, but he continued to answer the officer's question to the best of his ability. >> Is this something you want to get help for? >> Yeah, I've been struggling with this. >> Um, does anyone else know that you do this? Have you told anyone? She knows I have a but >> not this bad. >> She just thinks [music] it's regular. >> Yeah. Okay. And you know that this type of stuff is illegal? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um did you feel like something like this might happen at some point in time? >> Okay. That did that cause you stress? >> Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure. >> Tom told the officer that he was addicted to of all kinds and needed help. He said his wife was suspicious and had asked him whether he had looked at images of but he said he always reassured her that he didn't >> at no point in time. >> I mean like Snapchat, but that was like forever ago. Um >> how long ago was that? >> I really I really don't know. >> Okay. So you do use Snapchat to chat? >> Not a newborn? No. >> Okay. Were you an adult when that occurred? Okay. How old was it? She had >> Was it a male or a female? >> Female. Okay. How old did she look? >> What would you assume her age was? >> 10 to 12. >> 10 to 12. >> Did she show you? >> Okay. >> So, we are going to need to put in handcuffs. >> Yeah. Uh take you outside. >> Okay. Can you hold us for a second? >> Yeah. Tom was charged with 20 [music] counts of possession of child material and possession of moving depiction. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 days in jail followed by 30 months of probation. He was also ordered to pay $4,000 in fines and assessments and was required to register as a sex offender. Shortly after he was arrested, his wife filed for divorce on January 8th, 2025. Two Clearwater, Florida detectives were dispatched to a residence following a trail of digital breadcrumbs that began nearly two years earlier. >> Sorry to bother you. >> How can I help you? >> My name is Corpal Car. This is my partner, Corpal Grill. >> Hey, how are you? >> Uh, we're just kind of in the area just kind of investigating some internet activity. >> Um, are you the homeowner? >> Yes. So, what what's going on? >> So, how long have you lived here? >> Um, year and a half. >> Year. Okay. Very nice. So, we have um [laughter] >> Okay. >> What's going on? >> Hi. So, my name is Corporal Carrie Yates. This is my partner, Corporal Grill. We're just here kind of investigating some internet activity. >> Yeah. >> So, um if you don't mind, can we talk to you first alone? >> Want to kind of explain what's going on? >> Yeah, I guess. >> Do you have a Do you have a identification? >> It's in my car. I can go grab it. >> Yeah. >> Yeah, >> no problem. Your station? >> Mine's in my car. >> Yours in your car? >> Yeah. I can just wait. Thank you. >> While the officer went to her car to get her ID, her partner explained that they were there because of inappropriate internet activity. While his wife looked on in shock, Tony, the suspect, shook his head, saying he didn't know what the officers were talking about. >> What's going on? >> Have you ever heard of the National Center for Missing Exploited Children? >> Come here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So when there's like social media platforms or like internet based platforms, okay, >> that get like some suspicious activity. Yeah. >> They send it to the National Center for Missing Exploited Cyber Tips. Okay. >> And they kind of filter out and send it to us or the appropriate agency. >> Okay. >> Um so we just got um a tip that was just kind of suspicious in nature. So they want us to come out and investigate. >> Oh yeah. Let me know what it is. >> Do you have any social media? >> Yes. Which ones do you use? >> I use uh Twitter. >> Okay. >> Well, X. >> Yeah. >> And um Facebook. >> Okay. >> And True Social. >> Instagram. >> In Well, barely on Instagram. [laughter] >> Yeah. >> I have Instagram cuz my granddaughter was on Instagram. >> Oh, nice. >> And um that's it. The officers questioned Tony about his various social media handles. Although they asked to speak to him alone, his wife insisted on being there, they were still confused as to why the police were there. So, the officer walked them through it. >> So, this is how the tip comes in. Okay. >> Um, and this says, um, this occurred on September 29th of 2023. And do you recognize this email? Um, not off top of my head. >> Does it look like one that you may use? >> It might. >> Okay. What is it? Outlook.com, >> but I don't remember honestly. >> Okay. Have you ever been on Outlook? Have you ever used Outlook as an email? >> You've been retired before 23, so it wouldn't have been a federal He's a federal employee. or what he started >> anyway. No, this >> so as you see that we kind of get all the login the registration IP address and stuff like that. >> Um, and on this account, do you recognize anything? >> Yeah, I do. Okay. >> Okay. Is it something you're comfortable talking to me about in front of you? >> No. >> No. >> You better tell me, honey, cuz you'll I'll find out. Well, it was just >> Do you mind if we talk to him alone? >> No, I want to hear what it is. >> Unfortunately for Tony, his wife wasn't going anywhere. He probably thought he had gotten away with it like it had just slipped under the radar, but he was about to find out his whole world was about to come crashing down. >> Just tell me. >> Well, I'll tell you. Let me talk to them. >> No, I want to know. >> Go ahead. >> It might be better if he just kind of talks to us first. >> It's okay. No, it's not. Okay, >> honey. You got to tell me. So, let's go. >> But it might it might be easier on him to tell you when we're not present. >> What is it? >> What's the complaint? Yeah. >> Okay. >> Is it just >> So, do you want to kind of tell me about that account really quick and what's on it? >> Well, I don't have it anymore. >> You don't have it anymore? No. >> Okay. When was the last time you used it? >> Um probably around that time. >> So, how long ago do you think? >> Over a year. >> Over a year ago. Okay. >> He told the officers that the account was strictly for entertainment use only. Next, they asked him to identify some photos and you could tell he felt extremely uncomfortable doing so, especially in front of his wife. >> So, I'm going to kind of show you some photos. Okay. Can you just tell me if you recognize them? It's from a coffee machine, so I apologize. It's a little blurry. These are going to be from videos >> um that I kind of just took still shots of. >> Okay. >> Do you recognize that? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> You recognize that? >> Yes. >> This next one I do have sanitized. Okay. >> Do you recognize? >> Yes. Oh, no. I don't think so. Where is she supposed to be? >> Yes. >> Yeah. I honestly >> if she is then it was something that I share from something else that I saw >> but it wasn't something I generated. >> Okay. >> So tell me about that. What do you What do you mean by that you shared by something else? >> Well I it's a year and a half two almost two years ago. So, I don't really know. I don't I don't go into I don't request anything like that. >> Okay. >> If I see it on If I saw at the time, if I had seen it on X, I might have done something with it. I don't know. >> What do you mean by that? >> I may have posted it. >> Okay. >> The officers had more pressing questions, but they didn't want Tony's wife getting in the way. They asked again if they could question him in private, but she refused to budge and eventually they moved the interview inside. >> Ma'am, now that you kind of know the gist of it, do you mind if we kind of talk to him more in private >> and we we >> I do mind cuz I feel like we need an attorney here. That's what I feel like. >> So, >> I don't know why you've done, but you know. >> Yeah. Well, I'm I'm what I'm saying is I've never shared anything that I thought >> Okay. And our biggest concern is making sure that you're not still looking at the stuff that's not like on your devices or anything like that. >> Yes. >> And so I understand. >> Yeah. Would you be willing to let us look at your device real quick >> so we can just verify it's not on there? Cuz that would be an easy way to end this pretty much. >> Yeah. >> Do you How do you normally get on Twitter? Like do you use your cell phone or the laptop? An iPad? >> Um my iPad. >> Your iPad. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. I can. >> Do you mind if we look? >> No, I don't mind at all. >> I don't mind at all. >> You can come in. >> Tony had been busted accessing and sharing CP via the internet. According to reports, the images were of children aged 10 to 13. Detectives also said he had possessed videos and images of adults engaging in relations with dogs, a horse, and a cow. Tony turned himself in at the Penllis County Jail on February 5th, 2025. He was charged with 15 felony counts for possession of child imagery, CP, and adult activity involving animals. On November 8th, 2024, two people contacted the Key West, Florida police after their iPhones alerted them that an unknown Apple Air Tag was tracking their locations. >> So, I went to Body Gym this morning to the gym. I always go um and I get home and I have a notification pop up on the phone that there's an Apple Air >> and that just popped up today. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And I'm I was just like I don't have an Apple Air Tag. I've never bought an Apple Air Tag. And I'm sitting in my car and I like play the sound, but I can't hear anything. >> There's a little button that says play sound on. >> And then I step outside and I'm at my apartment at this point. And I like play it again and it was like a really faint. When I turn from Caroline onto Duvall, it says that there is an air tag moving with you. >> Okay. >> So I p when I get to my location, I parked. I went in. I grabbed my friend and I was like, "Hey, like I can hear this thing, but I can't find it." So then we pinpointed it on the back end of the passenger side, >> which side the driver's side or the >> we it it got super loud on the rear passenger side. >> Yeah. She literally went under there and found it. >> I was like, "Okay, I can hear it super loud." So, I pull over into the parking lot by the butterfly museum, >> and I crawl in under the car, [music] and it's literally right up in under my um like under the wheel, but it's it's right here. >> The device had been duct taped somewhere under [music] the car. She said she had no idea who put it there, but was extremely creeped out by it. It appeared as though someone had been secretly tracking her movements. And the strangest part was that her friend also had an air tag taped under her vehicle as well. >> Can you play the sound? >> It's like way under there. You literally have to, you know, get on your back and get under there. And they looked, but they couldn't find exactly where it was. >> This is going to be annoying. >> Uh-huh. Sorry to make >> Oh, no worries. >> You see it yet? It probably has that black tape on it, right? >> Yep. >> It's the exact same. >> If I just blinded you, I am so >> Oh, no worries. Where's it? Oh my god. >> It's most likely magnetized as well. >> Yeah, it's insane. two of them in one night. >> Oh yeah, I appreciate it. >> Okay, >> so the officer now had both tracking devices. The only question that remained was who put them there and why. To get to the bottom of things, the officer had more questions for the two women. Now, were both y'all at Body Zone this morning? At the same time, >> gym partner. >> Okay. >> So, you were at Body Zone at the same time this morning. Most likely left around 7:05 as well. >> Yes. And then this is when it said it was >> When did you receive that first notification? >> It was around my friends here like around 5. Kind of weird. >> And then called her >> and said, "Hey, did you notice something weird on your phone?" >> And that was it. Like, yeah, I I did. What the heck does that mean? It said something about an air tag. So, cuz she just intuitively thought, >> now did you reach out to Miss T first about the Air Tag incident when you got the notification? >> I called her immediately cuz since we were always we were together this morning. I was like the risk of us being >> tagged together. I was like, it just made sense to call us. We need to just go check. >> Were you two parked right next to each other in the bodies or in the parking lot or? >> Uh, she was parked there. Then there was an empty and then it was mine. >> Okay. But about the same row. [music] Same. Same row. >> Whoever it was, it was someone who was familiar with both women. Key West detectives working with agents from the Department of Homeland Security traced the subscriber information associated with the Air Tags to a 52year-old man and confronted him outside of his home. >> Hey man, how you doing? Detective Boyet. >> Nice to meet you. >> Do you um your family seems pretty concerned? They tell you why we're here to talk. >> Yeah, my son tell me about any aircraft or something. >> Yeah, I think this is probably a conversation rather have private. Do you want to talk somewhere else >> away from them or or it's up to you? >> The man said he knew what an Air Tag was. The officer wanted to spare him from embarrassing himself in front of his family, so he invited him to his squad car to speak in private. Hello What I'm trying to say is I have what's called Are you familiar with probable cause? >> Mhm. >> Okay. I have enough information based on my investigation with these Air Tags to arrest you >> without you saying one word, [music] >> but you may be able to tell me something that makes sense and I [music] don't have to arrest you. Right. >> Okay. >> So, here's the deal. Do you know her? >> Yes. is uh >> Does your wife know about her? >> No. >> Do you know her? >> Yeah, it's uh Oh my god, I forgot. >> Yeah. Okay. >> We was in the gym with my friends. [music] Okay. >> It was a shocking betrayal. The two women considered the man to be a trustworthy friend, but as everyone knows, friends don't secretly put tracking devices on their vehicles. His behavior was just downright creepy. >> All right. Friendly. Do you know what that is? >> That one is this. >> Do you know what this is? >> Air tag. >> That's an air tag. Yeah. >> You know what this is? >> I don't. >> That was [music] underneath both of their cars. >> Okay. I not play. I tell you truth. >> Okay. >> I put that one. >> Why? >> For joke. >> What do you mean? [music] >> I want to the I always joking. You can ask my friend. I joking with this girls in the gym. >> Yeah. [music] And I know it's any sound I send for my phone and for confuse her you know it's joke. >> What do you mean >> is any beeping after you send the like they try [music] to find something. >> Mhm. >> This air tag is beeping. >> Yeah. >> And they want to confuse this girl for they [music] you know put that one. >> Unfortunately for him the women didn't find it very funny at all. But the odds that he was telling the truth were slim to none. Whatever he was up to, he had been caught in the act. >> Everybody uh has their own sense of humor, you know, but myself and these girls included were worried that this was [music] like sex trafficking or something like that, you know, or or like you wanted to find out where they where they were and and they were they were they were scared, right? They didn't know who put it. Uh [music] Apple gave me the return on the devices and that's how I came up with with your [music] name. >> You talk to this girl? >> Um I I I do talk to them. >> We [music] we have a really very good relation. I know that what she tell me both tell me where she work where she live. I know her have a sense for the tracking these girls. >> Mhm. >> Because I know everything about both. >> Yeah. >> And same she knows everything. Did you did you put the air tag on both of both cars? >> Yeah, for for joke for the I send the I sent from my phone this uh beeping. >> Uh-huh. >> For the you know she go outside and oh something beeping under my car. What is it doing? >> It's just my my idea. >> How long did you keep it on on there? >> Just one day, you know, just I try make like that and that's it. The next day, I my plan was the laughing with both, you know. >> The man continued to make it out like it was all just a big misunderstanding, but the officer wasn't buying it. Whether it was just a joke gone wrong or not, you can't invade people's privacy like that. >> All right, man. Well, look, I appreciate being honest with you. >> We're going to make sure that this was as innocent as you say, >> but I can talk to my son and wife for one second. >> You'll be >> just for the >> You'll be able to you'll be able to call them when we get out there. We don't let that happen. This is why because you talk [music] to him for one second. You want a hug or whatever. >> No, no hug. Just tell or leave my truck. >> I don't I don't have I don't have a problem. Once we get you in the car and buckled in if your son wants to come up and speak to you through the window down, you can talk through the window. >> Okay. >> So, um is there anything else? So, yeah. >> Here. You know what second? Let me put him in the car and then you guys can talk to him. Okay. Let's see. Give me one second. So, you want you want your family to have all this and >> you want to take your wallet? >> You want? >> I don't know. I need something from this wallet. I >> uh Yeah, your ID and stuff like that. Yeah. >> Yeah. So, we're I'm going to leave this with me. >> I'm going to give all this to your family. Okay. He was charged with two counts of installing and using tracking devices [music] and released on a $70,000 bond. Each charge is considered a thirdderee felony in Florida. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison. On October 8th, 2025, a man was walking his dog when he was surrounded by police officers. It turned out that the suspect, Luis Sosa, was a former pastor and was wanted in North Carolina. And you won't believe what he was wanted for. What is what is her name? >> No. >> Lewis, right? Sa >> we got warrant free arrest out of North Carolina. >> Okay. >> For human trafficking out of North Carolina. >> Oh my goodness. >> You can run from your past, but it will always catch up with [music] you. The former pastor was accused of human trafficking, drug trafficking, and various crimes dating back 20 years. The officers let him call his wife to inform her of the bad news. >> Hey, uh, the police is here. They they said I have a warrant for an arrest for like >> child. >> Oh, human trafficking. >> Okay. >> Yeah, that that's what the detective in North Carolina put in. >> Oh my god. >> Yeah. Investigators alleged that over 20 years ago, Luis offered two girls, ages 13 to 17, the opportunity to travel from Argentina to North Carolina for a mission trip. He was even granted temporary guardianship over them while they traveled between May 2002 and June 2008. According to reports, the former pastor allegedly he abused the two girls multiple times. Um, >> what are you going to do with the dog? >> That's that's what they want to know. if you know cuz they can take it to animal control but you know between you getting in here to pick her up. So you know and then they'll because >> Yeah. Cuz they they will have to send they have to send me back to North Carolina. >> Oh my god. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So I'm going have to and and just call call uh Bill Patty the lawyer. Let them know. >> Okay. >> Okay. We'll just >> They're taking the dog to animal control. >> Yeah, cuz they I mean I mean we don't have anybody unless you can call the neighbor and ask her if she can watch over her. >> But I don't you know. >> Are you sure? >> Yeah. His wife almost seemed more concerned about the dogs than the fact that her husband was being charged with human trafficking and crimes. It almost made you think that she was aware of his past and knew this day was coming. >> Just um think about what you going to do cuz they need to know I'm standing here on the street. >> She's going to the dog's going to be at the human society. They said >> just just for safekeeping until you can come pick them up. >> Yeah. Yeah, we just don't want the dog to like anything to happen to the dog at the house and nobody there, >> right? >> Well, how long do I have to get the dog? >> Well, I'll give your I'll give I'll get your phone number, give it to animal control, and uh I'll give you their their phone number when I get it. >> Yeah, just whenever a friend or family or whoever can come pick it up. >> How long will they hold her? >> Yeah, >> they'll hold her for a couple days. Probably >> 30 days. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. They'll hold her for a couple days. They're not going to do I mean they they they know the dog belongs to you. They're just doing it for safekeeping. [music] So that so that we don't leave leave a dog in a house. >> Yeah. >> Without knowing when somebody's going to come take take care of them. Take care of us. >> Put a dog inside until they come. >> Yeah. You can leave her inside. >> Lock the house up. >> I just press the button. If there's a button it's got a key. >> We'll we'll wait till they get here and you can lock the house up. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Considering the charges he was facing, he seemed pretty [music] relaxed. The entire conversation revolved about what to do with the dogs. At that point, the officers barely went into any detail about the charges he was facing. >> If you go to the house, can I get my wallet by any chance or do I need my wallet or >> Yeah, I mean I mean Yeah. I mean, if you Yeah, if you you can go inside and we can get it for you. Yeah, we'll we'll get it for you. >> I mean, >> it's just right there. It should be right there. And she she has water, so she probably needs water, too. >> Okay. All right. Yeah. You guys been for a little bit of a walk. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> He wants to get his wallet from inside if we go inside. >> Yeah, >> that's fine. You want to? >> Yeah. And waiting for the dog. >> I I work for low score. >> I mean I mean, do you want us Do you want to just walk inside and we'll wait until the animal control comes? >> Yeah. I mean >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I mean, I'm not going to go anywhere, y'all. Unless you want to unless you want to start transfer. >> The officers adjusted Louis's cuffs to make him more comfortable before agreeing to walk back to his home with him to wait until animal services arrive to pick up his dogs. Judging from his charges, he won't be seeing his dogs for a long time. >> Can I walk down? >> Yeah. Yeah, we'll just we'll just walk we'll just walk down there. >> All right. appreciate your cooperation. That sucks. >> I know. I mean, I'm like, >> this this way we'll get the dog out of the uh >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. Get out of Well, I mean, >> in the heat. >> I mean, I just don't I mean, I'm, >> you know, I mean, we can put you the dog doesn't want to get in the car, so >> I get her out of the heat, too. If uh >> Yeah, cuz she's she's not for this area for sure. So you have you guys had to send me over there to the other county, right? >> Yeah. So you got to get booked in here. >> What? >> And then uh >> I wish I would have known. I would have just gone by myself. >> So you got to get booked boo booked in here and then uh >> Yeah. >> And then you'll go see a judge tomorrow. >> Okay. >> And would have been worse if you got caught driving. able to to your tow your car. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. >> Oh, wow. >> Yeah. >> You don't have any weapons inside the house? >> Okay. We're just going to have to sit you in like in like a >> dining room chair or something. >> SA, right? Born in 75. >> Yep. Louise faces charges including two counts of felony human trafficking, five counts of felony statutory [music] offense, seven counts of felony equal activity by a custodian, [music] and two counts of felony indecent liberties. He was held in Florida without bond while awaiting extradition to North Carolina. On October 8th, 2024, police officers were dispatched to a boat ramp after a 17-year-old girl secretly sent an SOS message to a friend claiming that an intoxicated 53-year-old man got into her car and began touching her inappropriately. Her friend called the police and officers were dispatched to the boat ramp. >> Hello, >> ma'am. Can I talk to you for a second? >> I was sitting out here just listening to my music and he walks up very drunk and then he asked if he could get on my phone with me. I didn't say anything about him and he got in the car with me and he started touching me by and >> he started what? >> Touching that guy and kissing my hand and then asked him if I was just and I pressed SOS on my friend's life 360 and had her call the cops and I cuz I couldn't say anything and I'm 17. He knows I'm 17. He has admitted that he's 50. >> Who is he? >> I don't know. >> It was a shocking and terrifying story. It's scary enough being out alone at night, let alone being confronted by a strange older man who lets himself into your vehicle uninvited and begins putting his hands on you. She did the right thing by stealthily alerting her friends. Next, the officer spoke to the suspect. >> What's going on down here, bud? >> I was upset. >> Do you know who that is? >> No, sir. We were just talking about her boyfriend being in the Navy and her being pregnant and her boyfriend being my boy. How how did your interaction with her start? >> She was up here crying like real bad. >> What you mean up here? >> She got on her her car crying. >> Sitting on top of sitting on her car crying. Yeah. And I asked her, I said, "Are you okay?" She said, "Well, I'm just having some bad day about my fiance and my family. I'm pregnant. I found out I'm pregnant." And I said, "Well, you know, everything is just what it is. You know, you just got to tell him to be straightforward with your family >> and everything." Yeah, he did. He they fought with my family, with my dad and everything. I said, "That ain't the way for him to go." I said, "You have to let him know to be straightforward. Don't be physical with your family, with your dad or nothing like that." >> The suspect, Anthony Thcker, painted himself out to be nothing more than a concerned citizen, almost like a creepy father figure. He admitted to sitting in the car with her for 5 minutes, but said nothing went down. He didn't want to leave you alone. >> No. And he kept punching me and grabbing my thigh and kissing my hand. And then he exposed himself over off the dirt. >> Okay. Do you mind writing a written statement? >> I've gone through so much legal in the past like week. >> So that was all y'all talking about was her issues with her baby daddy for a better lack of terms. >> That's [music] it. About her the baby's daddy with her issues, her family, about him being his her bad up and stuff like that. and about her friends going to a party tonight. That's it. I've been on probation for six years. I've been out of prison since 18. What'd you get locked up for? >> Child, >> which was a a hoax. >> Okay. >> I have no restrictions, nothing. I've been Scott [music] clean. I have not been on no I have no restrictions. I have nothing. >> It was a shocking confession. It's hard to understand how a 53-year-old man with a history of offenses [music] against children thought it would be a good idea to sit in a car with an underage girl. He did 20 years in prison, but he said that ever since his release, he stayed clear of any trouble. >> Did he just come get in the car without you inviting him or >> No, I wasn't inviting him. I was like, I'm going to sit in my car if you want to, you know, walk off. And he just kept grabbing my phone. And once he was in the car, I he started touching my leg and he kissed my hand and he like wouldn't stop touching me. He knows I'm 17. I made that very clear when I cuz when I'm down here, I'll talk to people. I'll be friendly, but I'm not going to like I have a whole fiance. I'm not trying to do anything >> that. And he's [music] I think 52 or 53 is what he told me. I've been down here since 7:17, so like 45 minutes. And he started talking to me and I said, "Oh, okay. Let's go for a walk." And I sent an SOS on 360 to my boyfriend's sister and my best friends and [music] they both called me and I was like, I can't talk right now, but I'll bring, you know, the pizza to the party later. I couldn't really >> next time that happens, just dial 911. >> Yeah, >> don't just leave it open line. >> Yeah, he just he kept looking at my phone and I didn't want to [music] myself in a dangerous situation before you guys got here. >> The girl reiterated that she did not invite him into her car. He simply got in on his own accord. However, Anthony said that she invited him in because the bugs outside were really bad, but the officers weren't buying it. >> You sure? She didn't say, "I'm going to get in the car and sit." >> No, she asked. I [music] said, "Are you sure?" She said, "Yeah, >> I think you're full of >> sir. I've been out of prison for 6 years. I have no problems." >> I got you. Well, hopefully this will put you back in prison. >> You can call my off PO [music] officer. I've had no problems. >> Good. Well, just because you haven't had any problems doesn't mean you didn't relapse tonight. How old are you, sir? >> I'm 53. >> Why would you be sitting in a car with a 17-year-old? Explain that to me. Give me a good reason. >> I was talking >> Give me a good reason. >> I was talking to her to explain to her about her and her fiance. >> Yeah. >> About [music] the problems that her boyfriend was beating on her hus. >> Yeah. >> About her being pregnant. >> Mhm. So, that involved you touching her? >> I didn't touch her. You didn't kiss her on the hand? >> No, I did not. >> Oh, okay. >> You didn't touch [music] her on the thigh? >> No, I did not. >> Did you touch yourself? >> No, I did not. >> So, it's just convenient that this is stuff we're being told. And you happen to spill a drink right [music] there. >> I did not. The drinks are over there in the bushes. I threw the bottles in the bushes. [music] I'm telling you the truth. I'll go in the bushes and get them. They're starting off through. My wife [music] will come and pick me up right now. Nah, she ain't going to. >> There's zero reason for you to get in a car with a 17-year-old girl. >> The crotch of Anony's pants was wet. He claimed he had spilled a drink on himself, but the officers weren't buying his excuse. He was disgusted with Anony's behavior and he wanted him to know it. >> There's not a good excuse that you can tell me why you were in the car with a 17-year-old girl. >> I didn't know her age at the time, but you're correct. I'm right, sir. We didn't. If you're married, why would it be any good reason for you to be in a car with any other female other than your wife? >> You're pregnant. You're correct. >> How much have you had a drink scene? >> Two sons. >> Two spurnoffs. >> I had a bad day at work. >> Yeah. Well, you didn't make it any better. So, >> I said, "Okay, how old are you?" She said, "17." I said, "Well, how old is he?" She said, "Like 22." I said, "Well, what's the big deal?" She said, "Well, I'm 4 weeks pregnant." I said, "Okay, >> let me stop you there cuz you told me a while ago when you got in a call with her, you didn't know she was 17. You just told me that you knew that she was 17." >> So, you're lying. >> I didn't keep telling your version of this. Let's go. >> The girl gave the officers more details. She told them that Anthony asked her to undress. When she said she was just 17, he told her it was fine and nobody needed to know. After hearing both sides of the story, the officer gave Anthony one last chance to explain himself. >> Just explain to me how this is all a big [clears throat] m misunderstanding. How you're just being you're in the wrong place, wrong time. I can't. So I So that's you're a violent offender. Correct. That's how you've been labeled and that's the way the state of Georgia looks at you. Correct. Is that what is that's correct? Correct. I'm not in misunderstanding how you're being categorized and what you're on probation and for am I wrong with that? What'd you go to jail for? >> So, >> okay. So, >> I'm asking you >> Yes. >> What are the stipulations of your parole and probation? >> I have no stipulations. >> None. >> None. >> So, you're just a violent offender and they ain't told you you can't be around this person, that person. >> I have no nothing. [music] So, they're going to be cool with you just getting in a car with a 17-year-old. stipulations. >> Oh, okay. >> And I talked to her as a father. >> Are you her father? >> No. She said her father is not listening to her. I said, "Listen, this is what you need to do." >> At that point, the officers had heard enough. As the officer said, there was no reason why a man with Anony's past had any business sitting in a car with an underageed girl. As a result, there was only one place he was headed. I drink on probation. I know I did. >> All right, turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> So, what's going to happen to me then? You're going to go to jail. >> For what? Drinking on probation. >> Got more charges. >> That's not going to be on us. That's going to be a handy cor. You going to want your phone from your car so you can call at least somebody? >> Yes. Can I call my wife? >> Hang on. Let him get those wrong. >> So, at what point did you offer her some of that drink, too? I didn't overheard nothing. >> Hey sweetheart, you need to come pick my car up. >> They got me for drinking on probation. >> You going to tell her the truth or you want me to tell her the truth? >> And talking to I was giving advice to some female. >> Are you going to tell her the truth or you want me to tell her the truth? >> Uh, [music] she was 17 years old. I wasn't doing nothing. I wasn't doing nothing. >> Are you kidding me? >> No, I'm not. I wasn't doing nothing. [music] And >> Wow. For real, baby. I wasn't doing nothing. I was sitting here and she was crying. It's four weeks pregnant. She going to come for the car. You coming for the car? I got the keys on me. What the keys do? >> Anthony was charged with public intoxication, littering, public indecency, and actual battery. On December 30th, 2022, investigators received multiple cyber tips indicating that a Verizon cloud account was uploading and storing files containing illegal content. After careful review, detectives identified repeated uploads traced back to a single user and device. Finally, on October 12th, 2023, they were ready to confront the suspect and execute a search warrant. >> Hey, how you doing? >> Hey, good. How you doing, >> Matthew? Yes, sir. by Matt. Yes, sir. >> How you doing? >> Good. How you doing today? >> My name is Don Waly. All right. This is Lindsay. >> Hey, how you doing? Good. >> Um, is your wife sleeping or? >> Yeah. >> And you got you got a little girl, right? >> Yeah. >> We want to talk to you about some incident that's happened in the area and we want to see if you have a little bit of of time. >> Sure. >> Okay. I don't want to bother your your house, you know, like as far as like waking anybody up. Do you mind if we talk to you in the Tahoe? >> Sure. >> I work for the sheriff's office. Okay. However, I'm loaned out to the FBI. >> Okay. So I go to work every day down in Fort Myers. We have an FBI office. He's major crimes. Okay. So he kind of deals with a lot of different things. Um homicides, robberies, investigations, the whole nine yards. I have a primary focus. Do you know what that primary focus might be? >> No sir. >> My primary focus is child. What do you think child means to you? >> I'm not sure. >> Child is basically children. >> Okay. >> Child is one of them. The officer told the suspect, Matthew, that he had evidence of illegal activity occurring under his IP address. The officer said that he was concerned given that Matthew had a young daughter. However, Matthew had an excuse for everything. >> Is this something that you're doing in the privacy of your own home versus you going out looking for kids on the streets? >> Oh my god. Never. No. No. I would never do that. >> So, this is just something that you're doing in the privacy of your own own home? >> I'm not even looking at anything. All I'm doing is going on to a website called Omegle or something like that. That's all that I really do. I don't I don't live for children or anything like that. >> But everything that's being reported because all of your content is being uploaded into the Verizon cloud. They've reported numerous files of child child. So that's why we're here is to kind of talk about it and to see if this I mean Omegle I can tell you right now because I've been doing this for seven years now. Omegle is a hot site for child. I can tell you that right now. >> I I know for a fact that that it's been on there and stuff like that, but I don't I don't do that any kind of stuff. And I would never ever go after any child. That's disgusting, especially with my little girl in there. There's no way. >> The officer hit Matthew head on with the files that had been downloaded into the cloud from his account. He told Matthew that the evidence was damning and he needed to come clean for the sake of his wife and daughter. So, I will be honest with you. I I was on that Omega site for quite some time because my wife and I after the baby, we didn't communicate well or do anything. >> I've been there, dude. I got I have I have three point I I know exactly what you're talking about. >> I never wanted anybody to get hurt or anything. I just wanted to find some different excitement and that was the site that I found excitement on. And there's no other intention behind that. >> So, you're not out there looking for kids. It's just something I would just I I would just and I I guess it went to Verizon because I would I I'd like to watch it again and I'd do what's called a screen record and I would record anything when I was on the Omega and it would just download automatically, I assume. And I I never even know they're on my cloud. I I'm sure they're on there now. I just would have to delete everything. But right, >> I I never would go out and and hurt anybody. I would never go out and look for anybody again. I would I can't say that I would hurt somebody if they ever tried to do anything to my daughter. So I >> Right. I there's there was no ill. >> Matthew claimed age had nothing to do with it. It was more about the excitement of illicit activity with strangers. Unfortunately, his screen recordings told a different story. Naturally, the officer had more questions. >> Not that I want you to view these, okay? I don't I don't do that to people, okay? But what's the youngest that you look? I mean, I can sit here and pull it up just to >> be 100% honest with you, I I don't know. I I really don't know what what they are, >> but we can't say that they're under 18. I mean, because that that's would be safe to say, right? >> Some sometimes. Yes, sir. It never started that way. Obviously, it just you're on there again. Sometimes you don't even know what what it is or how old or whatever, you know, and >> but yes, there is people that share those videos. And no, I don't always turn away or click the next person on there. The officers told him that they indeed had a search warrant and would be confiscating his electronic devices. Understandably, he was extremely concerned as his wife was inside and would be horrified to learn what he had been up to. >> What's going on? I I just want to know what's going on cuz like I said, I'm I'm just freaking out a little bit. >> Right. So, what will happen is we we will have to take the phone. We will have to do a forensic examination on it to see what's on it. You know, do we have more than what, you know, we have here? Is it something you know like again you're telling me nothing live we got to confirm that you know we want to you know kind of check all the box like like you haven't you know touched your daughter you haven't touched somebody out in out here you know what I'm saying nothing that's being self- prodduced >> so when all of that is done then we present that to the state attorney's office and say hey take a look at this and then they kind of give us what they think that should should happen you know and and I I'm not I can't tell you what's going to happen I understand It it could be an it could be an arrest. It could be something different. I really don't know at the moment. It's not until we get that back and say, "Okay, let's let's examine this phone. Let's see what's on it." You know, how many are we talking about? You know, are we talking about, you know, hundreds? Are we talking about, you know, 50? You know, I I don't know what that answer is. You know, >> the officers told him that they just wanted to confiscate his phone and laptop and leave him be until they ran a forensic search. Although letting the officers inside his home to execute a search warrant was the last thing he wanted, it wasn't up to him. >> I don't know what's going to happen in there. I'm sure your wife is going to be like, "Who are you talking to?" or "Where's your phone?" She's going to have a lot of questions and that's going to be up to you to say, >> "I'm just going to be honest. I I can't do this. I up, you know, >> but I can definitely look you both in the eyes and tell you I would never never do this to any child. I I would I swear on everything. I would never." And that's ultimately what >> I know that means nothing to >> No, it does. You know, and if if you need to take it easy on the approach, I I'm not telling you what to do. If you need to say, "Yeah, they were here to talk to me about something, you know, whatever, you know, I don't know cuz I don't know what the outcome is ultimately going to be. But if you you whether you face the music now or face the music later, it there might be something where, you know, is it best to tell her? It looks like she's somebody's at the window." So >> yeah, it's high up though. So, but that's that's not our decision. That's just something that you're going to have to figure out. >> Matthew provided the officer with the password to his devices. They asked him if there was anything else hidden on his devices that they hadn't discussed and might discover, but he reassured them that there wasn't. >> You ever share those files with anybody else? >> No. No. I'm too embarrassed to do that. I would never do that. You know, we I forgot to ask that because a lot of people will have like a so-called collection and they're like, "Hey, I'll I'll share mine if you share yours." >> No, never. Like I said, I'm I'm I'm too embarrassed to even know that I was on that site, let alone what I was doing.
