move hey bud move stop the train stop the train buddy move move move hey get on the ground right now get get him get [Music] him high [Applause] [Music] when you're a police officer danger is just part of the job the moment you put on that uniform and step out in the streets you know you might get attacked shot at run over with a car or even injured in an explosion all you can rely on is your training and lock and speaking of luck here are some moments when cops nearly avoided tragic accidents 911 what's the address of your emergency um McKinley Avenue I think the scrapyard blew up or something there's a big old boom and out of a big black smoke okay let me get the fire department on the line honey hold on in Columbus Ohio several witnesses called 911 on Monday February 14th 2024 reporting explosions in thick smoke coming out of a car scrap yard on McKinley Avenue the fire department reacted swiftly and firefighters raced to the scene to contain the growing Blaze and bring things under control police units were also there you need buildings evacuated do I need to evacuate these buildings for you or anything they probably should know on that building from that we got some explosive stuff over there gas tanks and stuff like that okay I'll let them know maybe they ought to get out of here that's safy radi yeah I'm going to advise 1529 McKinley which is Edison Automotive to evacuate they have some explosives going off top of our building Catching Fire yeah they want you guys to start to evacuate this building because there's got explosives back there they're there's [ __ ] going off left and right so they would like to get you guys out of here so nobody gets hurt I'm going to call and have the yard empty too yes anybody that's back there anybody on that side to get out apparently an employee was removing a catalytic converter when he left his torch near some gasoline residue we all know gas evaporates into fumes and adding fire to the equation is never a good idea but this situation was much worse because most likely there were lots of fuel canisters around just waiting to explode back there still there's a couple that went back before me yellow in the Y yep get them out I don't think so U Fire's got it I'm just trying to evacuate these buildings because they got explosives that are just blowing up left and right back there [Music] just so you know you can let them let him know when you a chance everybody from Edison has been being evacuated everybody is out of the yard now and everything cool thank amazingly no one was hurt when the fire first broke out but the danger here was far from over over Thick Smoke continued to pour into the sky and firefighters struggled to contain the blaze with water and foam to an untrained eye it might not have seemed too serious as there were no flames visible from the outside but then everything changed all right get the hell out of here let's go [Music] let's go go out out out get out of here let's go out out go everybody out out go damn that was a close one debris from the explosion was just inches above the officer head and if it had flown any lower he would have been in serious danger the sheer force of the blast shook the entire area sending scrap metal and parts flying in every direction too close for me every right over my head wow [Music] that was that was way too close that's way too close man you know that was on video too huh that was on video too it wasn't yeah that I'm still walking Jes luckily all the workers were able to get out of the building safely only one was sent to the hospital and was treated for possible smoke inhalation meanwhile traffic had to be diverted and the road was closed for several hours to keep people safe and enable the firefighters to work without [Music] distractions yes sir do you mind uh just toing by this big fire and see if it's impacting traffic or if it's if we're going to have a traffic issue on a freeway no problem sir CH s L3 yeah Choppers are noo I would not have them fly over this we're having uh propane tanks exploding and they're going everywhere so that's a that would be a noo for those guys that copy the chopper crew decided to fly over the scene but were instructed to keep a safe distance from the Raging Fire by that time thick black smoke had been billowing into the sky visible from miles away it was immediately clear to everyone nearby that something had gone terribly wrong so Beth tell me about what you saw we came from from up about 71 up past the fairgrounds and you can see it roaring black smoke and we just it was kind of scary think what was on fire it's got to be a huge fire whatever it is I just hope everybody's safe and nobody gets hurt with this cold 604 go ahead yeah I'm sitting on the freeway at M 70 well traffic here as it turned out it was the third time a fire had broken out at the salvage yard which makes you wonder about their safety measures hopefully there won't be a fourth time the damage and very close calls like this should be enough of a wakeup call to prevent future disasters this next case is sure to get your blood pumping just put yourself in the shoes of constell Randall Kirk on December 12th 2022 little did he know that what started as a standard call would soon turn into a nightmare what happened would go down as one of the deadliest police shootings in the history of Queensland Jesus the officers on the scene were constables Kirk Rachel mcro Matthew Arnold and key Bruff who were dispatched to a property in Willam Billa for a welfare check the check was requested by New South Wales police who shockingly did not mention that one of the suspects previously sent a number of emails threatening to kill the cops if they came for him unaware of the danger these four young officers were sent there like Lambs to slaughter yeah yel she's our newest first year found you just started a general phas just start a general phase gen phase General mental phase General phase first year yeah so week nine or something fto train yeah training session the officers casually chat away completely unaware of the danger lurking just ahead the property they've arrived at belongs to the train family Nathaniel Gareth and Stacy train their tail is a twisted love triangle that's wrapped in layers of mental illness an obsession with weapons and a tangle of wild conspiracy theories it was an attack which shocked Australia and the world a major police incident is under the way the coldblooded execution of two young police officers they were hit with a hail of bullets police would ultimately declare this Australia's first Christian terrorist attack but the mystery of Nathaniel Gareth and Stacy train is not so much what they did but why I called him up especially for those who knew Nathaniel train in the Years prior to his unraveling he was quite approachable overall is a nice nice guy authorities now believe Gareth train was The Mastermind he was troubled from a young age and when he got older he immersed himself in outlandish conspiracy theories to the point of becoming paranoid somehow he managed to deceive his brother Nathaniel into believing the same nonsense radicalizing him to the point of no return a trio hell banned on suicide by cob that's the opinion of forensic psychiatrist Dr Andrew Aboud who told the inquest today the trains had resolved not to be apprehended by police that would be a fate worse than death Dr Abu studied hundreds of texts between the trains as well as Stacy's diary notes and concluded all three suffered identical delusions with Gareth being the dominant sufferer and driven by a date in early 2023 that they believed was a date that they would reach religious salvation through the second coming of Christ Gareth also believed Lea Jets were being used to drop biochemical neurological weapons to poison him he even fired shot doots at planes that flew overhead Stacy sent a text to a friend saying I don't want to freak you out but I'm not joking when I say Gareth and I are being monitored by AO our text messages disappear and then reappear Leo Jets have been flying over our house I know it sounds crazy but it's true but the story of the trains is even weirder beyond the conspiracy theories as Gareth descended into madness Nathaniel's life was normal he married his high school sweetheart Stacy and had two kids according to witness statements and the people who knew Nathaniel he seemed like a nice guy then suddenly the trio made a drastic decision but in 1999 the trio cut all family ties after accusing the boy's parents of child abuse and that was the devastating thing to me to think these boys made certain allegations which were totally false and unproven the trio stuck close even after Gareth replaced Nathaniel as Stacy's husband I said it's an absolute betrayal eventually Nathaniel became a successful School principal and met a new partner I thought he was um very smart he had a good reputation there was no Bible bashing there was no Jesus but in August 2021 Nathaniel had a heart attack at walgate primary school and his behavior started to change he ignored doctor's advice a covid vaccine mandate and left behind his job and his partner so these guys cut their family ties and Stacy left Nathaniel to marry his brother Gareth Nathaniel remarries and they all keep in touch as if that wasn't crazy enough Nathaniel started Living with the couple several years later at their estate what possessed an otherwise successful School principal to quit his job and throw his life away in December 2021 Nathaniel unlawfully crossed the border into Queensland with weapons and ammunition and was reported to police Nathaniel rejoined his ex-wife and his brother at their weam Billa property when police followed up on a missing person report from Nathaniel's partner the trio were waiting with two guns each they came to kill us and we killed them it's time to get back to our four young officers who still think they're doing a simple welfare check the registry in Queensland had no information the trains were potentially dangerous because New South Wales police never mentioned them threatening to shoot cops sadly these poor young officers had no clue that they were about to step right into an ambush good to do everything as you see there a rest warrant for this fell yeah hello hello hello Budd ah he's shot Rachel I believe I think she's dead um she shot him I think no he's still walking he's trying to walk around me as soon as they saw the officers coming the trains open fire shooting constables Arnold and mcro Constable Bruff hid in the bushes where she remained until Nightfall despite the Train's attempts to flush her out as for Constable Kirk he shot once at the Asylum but was smart enough to know he was outnumbered and outgunned sorry she she shot him oh no she shot at him there's two of them they've got they've got Matthew's de gun now hang you got on ke and Matt Matt's not moving Rachel's not moving now and haven't seen yes I just walking over there two of yeah what do you want me to do it's remarkable how Constable Kirk was able to keep his composure in these initial moments of the shooting keep in mind he's a young officer with no bulletproof vest and only a handgun facing fully equipped people with long rifles he knows there's no way he can win this fight his supervisor senior Constable Justin Dreer tries to help him get through this you got to look after your buddy all right St behind that that's the you got between and yeah yeah Long Rifle and dy's Pistol they just can't have you got any more trees behind you no not a lot not a lot he's coming over so run yeah maybe in the meantime Gareth train approached Constable mcro who was still alive and shot her in the head Point Blank this is the chilling image of the killer captured on her body cam Kirk knew it was just a matter of time before they found him so staying in one place was not an option he decided to do the only thing he could and made to run for it hey do they know where you are yes they do can you obviously scram from to toy and Retreat out of there I can try [Applause] [ __ ] they're coming they shooting [Applause] they me shot the moment he started running the train started firing at him miraculously running through a hail of bullets Constable Kirk managed to get out of there after failing to take him down the trains were set on finding Constable BR who was still hiding in the shrubs later on they even set fire to the bushes around their house trying to smoke the man out hello I'm in the car driving away I can't hear because of the firearm shots [Music] hello are you there buddy [Applause] [Music] yeah where do you want me to drive to yeah well Dam there's two of them I think I've been shot I can't I don't know where they've got multiple shots on the on the window of the car but I had to drive away a bit lost a shoe I've got blood on my face I don't know where I've being shot after a 6-hour Siege the three as silence were finally taken down sadly officer Matthew Arnold and officer Rachel mcro lost their lives it's heartbreaking to think that their tragic loss of life could have been prevented if only the New South Wales police had shared the information they had about the suspects it was a preventable tragedy that left lasting scars on everyone involved on November 10th 2020 an officer on patrol spotted a suspicious SUV parked outside a department store and after confirming it had been stolen he headed back to confront the driver but the suspect had a different plan in mind and what started as a routine check was about to escalate fast all right they're run sou CL [Applause] so sou secondary you call [Music] the suspect was speeding and broke numerous traffic laws along the way but then for some reason he slowed down there wasn't any traffic so the officer in Pursuit took a chance and attempted a pit maneuver to forcibly stop the fleeing vehicle however things didn't go exactly as planned and this situation took an unexpected turn [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey get on the ground get on the ground hey get on the ground right now get get him get [Music] him all right on the highway [Applause] [Music] stop stop stop as the suspect sped across the highway the officers gave Chase leading to several harrowing car crashes involving Vehicles traveling at high speed miraculously the officers nearly avoided horrific injury or death in the chaos that ensued still the officers continued their Pursuit let's watch it again from a different angle give us get on the ground get on the ground get on the ground get on the ground you good watch it watch it watch it watch it watch it watch it get on the ground put your hands behind your back give me your hand give me your hand P right here P right here do man it's pretty insane how the suspect was acting clueless just after taking the cops on a wild car chase this guy managed to cause several traffic accidents potentially fatally injuring not only the cops but also so innocent civilians the officers are understandably agitated get up got you can't get up why are you hurt what I do man what I do man what did I do are you good I'm to die what is hard let's get out of theway before we get k come on stand up man I I do man what did I do what did I do as they walked around the debris from the accident he just caused the suspect kept pretending that he didn't know where he was or what he done the true extent of the chaos that just unfolded is yet to be determined [Music] come on we got to check on these people man come on come on now got people [Music] hurt on the way are you okay is there anybody else in that vehicle with you the officer approached the first vehicle and the couple inside appeared Dazed and Confused struggling to understand what just happened meanwhile the second vehicle lay overturned but fortunately the driver seemed to be mostly uninjured with only a neck sprain as a result of the crash just you too take you just you it's I I only stopped because I was driving next to them when it happened so it just you're not invol yeah no I just wanted to make sure that we're okay what's your name you okay yeah I'm okay sorry the gentleman right now he kind of said that maybe I I shouldn't go or I should I I don't know should I go or should I not do you got time please pull over if not call in and just give your information okay okay thank you gas in the truck yeah the gas that was leaking from the truck is just one of the potential hazards in this chaotic scene with vehicles speeding down the highway many drivers may not even notice the roadblock ahead increasing the risk of further accidents as the officers worked to secure the area they understood that before the road could be cleared the victims here had to be thoroughly checked for injuries he's complaining of Chess wall pain chess wall pain right just ch wall okay yeah okay she just scared okay you're not Hur you yes sir okay thank you for coming sir yeah they're both in custody uh he's the only one in there he's okay there two in there he's in there thank you meanwhile the other officer was focused on the Sun suspect who continued to act Delirious pretending he had no idea what just happened it was a challenge for the officer to assess the situation properly and even he started wondering if this was more than just an act as the suspect seemed genuinely detached from reality Le on the car what we got there overturn vehicle lean on the [Music] car are you injured what's I fell dodging the dang car what what's you need an ambulance ambulance [Music] oh my God L on oh my God I got him down the officer needed to Fat Down The Suspect but first he had to take a deep breath he was most likely experiencing what MAA Fighters refer to as an adrenaline dump which often leads to a sudden loss of energy once it wears off this was evident in the officer's voice as he tried to regain his composure while assessing what had just happened had to over the guard rail cuz freaking SUV come right at us when that's overturn I think let go to money let go with this money why is this P huh that mean this is thing yeah man you got any weapons blades or anything on you no man no I believe it man you got are you hurt I'm SK what you SK a friend what did I do oh my God calm down all right what did I do man oh my God trouble what the man what are you doing man turn around youying you turn around oh my God what do you think was this guy faking it or was he genuinely struggling with schizophrenia despite everything that had happened the officers here were remarkably gentle with him their empathy showed that despite facing injury and death they understood the importance of treating all individuals with respect regardless of the circumstances hey man look we're not going to hurt you we're just we're just making sure you don't have what's your name what's your name what's your name not going to hurt you what's your name not going to hurt you all right John John say something what's your name please please don't real all right we're not going to hurt you okay we're not going to hurt can you just run got anything good you w't let me you won't let me fix these handcuffs a little bit the suspect was later identified as a dalbert Robinson just minutes after he was placed in the vehicle he calmed down and appeared to be perfectly coherent and this could mean he was only putting up an act going to jail for a long time all right listen do you understand the rights that I read to you yes do you wish to talk to me at this time without a lawyer what I can't hear you do you want to talk to me right now without a lawyer what did I say yes or no all right say what am I do you want do you want to talk to me and answer any questions about what happened right now without a lawyer it's not going to help me sir I but you are you willing to talk to me without a lawyer I don't know what I can say to it's either a yes or a no it's nothing I can say you so what can I say are you going to talk to me you can't help me well you asking questions I want to answer them and I want to ask a couple questions too question so do you want to talk to me without a lawyer I need a yes or a no I'll listen with a Albert later claimed that A friend gave him the car but there's really nothing he could say that could save him he was charged with Reckless conduct breaking traffic rules obstruction of officers fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and theft by receiving stolen property in addition he was also driving without a valid license meaning another misdemeanor offense on the 14th of January at around 2: a.m. the Pompton Lake's fire department rushed to a home after a neighbor noticed smoke billowing from the basement what seemed like a routine call soon turned into something far more dangerous but for the time being everyone seems to be relaxed three cops are chatting in front of the house watching the firefighters do their [Music] jobs the door open you were to go inside or no I came around the back side and I was like flash I see the just standing door like what on here and he's like the [Music] the I tell when I came through my headlights Sho this way all smok I was like so I Wasing [Music] the officer asked his colleague if he was afraid to go in which shows just how una aware he was of the potential dangers here for now let's just let things sink in it's fairly quiet a firefighter can be seen walking casually near the house the officers here are totally relaxed completely unaware that things are about to abruptly escalate number [Music] [Music] the cops were called complet complely off guard when they turned back Flames were engulfing the house and debris littered the yard it took a good few minutes before the officer got his act together and went back to business it wasn't until he got to the back side of the house that he realized the true extent of the explosion [Music] [Music] out what you say your best approach from the back EMTs arrive promptly at the scene the horrific fact about this situation was not that the cops were in danger it's that when the explosion happened there were six firefighters inside the house three of them including an assistant chief were on the first floor two of their colleagues were blown out the front of the house headquarters get us some more R here get back here also [Music] [Music] when the explosion occurred at around 2: a.m. the firefighters had only been inside for about a minute the amazing thing is that even though the explosion was so devastating that it blew the roof off the house all six firefighters who were inside made it out alive now let's take another look but this time from the second officer's body cam so [Music] second amance contest this officer was also caught off guard at first he was unsure of how to react as he watched the Flames engulf the house but then he saw the med team arrive and that's when his instincts kicked in he led the Medics to the firefighters who were extracted from the burning building supporting his fellow First [Music] Responders I anybody else the officer tried to approach the house to see if he could help someone but the smoke was so thick he quickly ran out he then checked on the Medics before helping another cop roll out the fire hose to the hydrant get in a statement pton Lake fire chief Jason ekers admitted that he genuinely feared there'd be six fatalities that day however the firefighters worked as a team and helped each other out safely climbing out of the basement they can be thankful they nearly escaped what looked like a certain death just in case you're yearning for some intense High adrenaline action that'll get your heart pumping we've got you covered on December 20th 2022 at around 11:00 a.m. a trooper attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation in Houston County Georgia however the driver who turned out to be a fugitive refused to stop the car and led the officer on a furious Chase Sho out the window shoot out the window Sho out the window just the car the car just in the car right coming up to uh Wasing Boulevard on uh East West Tom Tom there a one should be up here with me just turn to uh Biol lab going to the back bik lab going the back bi lab going the back of bi lab he's jumping up bush bush B suddenly the suspect feared into a business's parking lot Ked off the curb and crashed into the bushes he left out of the car and took off running the trooper didn't hesitate for even a second and was ready to chase this guy down whatever the cost [Music] [Music] you get inside get inside he Bush Barn going on the other side of time chat other side of come Che despite being fired at the suspect didn't surrender and managed to slip away but this Trooper was committed to tracking him down he got back to his vehicle and continued updating dispatch on the suspect's last known location the suspect was last seen heading back toward Tom Chapman Boulevard T4 I'm back in my car and he going back to Tom ch right now white man white man with a red shirt hold on I see him going to the par the fleeing fugitive was later identified as Christopher Rodriguez a 33-year-old man supposed Rec ly affiliated with the Latin King's gang he was still armed and extremely dangerous after running into a residential area he immediately started looking for another vehicle the determined Trooper was hot on his tail but will he get to him in time what's his location he got a gun in his hand also uh red red uh shirt hold on uh shorts white man with a hat on black black no he's actually getting into a car right now the trooper spotted the suspect effect carjacking a BMW and he immediately resumed the Chase and while more police units got involved the trooper zip passed them determined to make the arrest himself as Rodriguez headed towards I75 the pursuit intensified and the chase pushed Northbound at high speeds need to take here the north get heavy [Music] it's not often we see such a focused and dedicated police officer this Trooper did a terrific job continuously relaying the suspect's location while driving at high speeds in very congested traffic he also demonstrated excellent driving skills and superlative situational awareness but the question remains will it be enough to catch the crook [Music] [Music] the suspect took the exit at 153 but quickly revers course heading back onto the inter State this time he was traveling south it didn't make much sense considering that stretch of the interstate was likely swarming with cops by then and his Reckless choices only increased the chances of a serious accident right [Music] going back south look like going back south side damn that was a close call The Trooper was showing off really impressive driving skills most people didn't even realize there was danger until he screamed and then he had to perform some difficult maneuvering just to get the car going straight again once he managed to get back on track he realized the suspect was taking the chase to us41 in bib County he's getting up on 149 now 149 [Music] make left turn make left turn left turn left turn left turn 499 this very intense car chase is beginning to wear down the vehicles with parts failing under the pressure the Troopers call for backup and additional units are gradually arriving with the suspect's tire now flat the trooper expects the chase day in soon the question is what happens then just in case get out start shooting be luckily for everyone the suspect decided to give up he later took a plea deal with the Houston County DA's office and pled guilty to charges of armed robbery aggravated assault on a peace officer fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer theft by receiving stolen property possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony he got 35 years in prison with an additional 5 years of parole speaking of dedicated cops and their commitment to serving and protecting their communities now let's head down to perthamboy New Jersey where quick thinking and even faster running allowed one young officer to save a man's life in a moment of crisis the officer's instincts kicked in pushing him into action as he raced against time a split second I decided to start running so in that situation your training takes over hey bud hey move hey bu move stop the Train the guy running is Officer Kyle seya on July 19th 2018 he was sent to the Perth Amoy train station to do a welfare check on a man supposedly lying on the train tracks when he got there around 8:19 a.m. he immediately saw a man on the tracks the problem was that the man was oblivious that a train was coming his way it it seemed like a normal call every morning um guy on the train tracks walking around when I got there pretty much somebody pointed him out and he was laying face down and it seemed very abnormal and then I saw a train coming and it clicked in my mind right away to uh start running and and as the train get closer and closer it just my speed kept picking up and picking up to get there he's not moving hey move am I going to be able to get there stop the train what happens if I don't get there WHYY move what am I going to do when I get there officer saoa later stated that his instincts immediately kicked in and he started running without thinking about it he had no idea if he'd get there in time or what would happen all he knew was he needed to either stop the train or get the man to move and the adrenaline kicks right in so um really it was all actions the training takes over in that situation and your body just does what you're trying to do and uh that's what happened saw the train and my mind clicked right away and started running hey bud hey move hey bud move stop the train stop the train buddy move move move move move [Music] oh s be advised uh train stopped before sooya got there in the nick of time it was a good thing he shouted though because if the man hadn't moved the train likely wouldn't have stopped and the outcome could have been tragic but what was this guy doing there in the first place was it a careless mistake or was it a desperate attempt to end his life sit down are you okay where you come from look thank you Sean what's your last name oh my God thank you so much thank you so much Sean what's your last he was very surprised he his first question was where did you come from um where did the train come from thank you so much uh I have a 2-year-old at home these were all the words that he was saying to me um after he came off the tracks the man's identity remains unknown but it's important to note that he did not attempt to take his own life he was homeless and ended up on the tracks by accident luckily this harrowing ordeal was a wake-up call that shifted the man's perspective on life after reflecting on his circumstances he ultimately decided to return to his family uh it felt good um I was more relieved at the end uh I was able to take a deep breath uh that he came off the tracks and uh just just sympathize with him while he was he was uh clueless of where he was I was helping him to realize he was on the tracks and where he was and that he was okay he said I'm a true hero to him he had a 2-year-old uh he had a family to go home but what I was most proud of officers of Oya was how quickly he reacted he didn't take that 15 20 seconds to stand around and try to think he just reacted and that quick reaction is what got him to that gentleman in time to get his attention to get him off the tracks before he lost his life but this story gets even better officer seya and his brother are third generation officers they're grandfather served for 40 years and their father served for 28 after losing his father 2 years prior officer sooya decided that there wasn't a better way to honor his memory than saving another person's life by risking his own they would have told me good job and uh good thing you ran fast what I thought of was his father and how proud his father would be in heaven looking down at his son and I started crying I was like I cannot believe that was my son doing that there's probably no greater feeling in the world than saving someone's life hats off to this young officer thanks to his quick reflexes and fast running he prevented what could have been a terrible tragedy because of him a homeless man was given a second chance to rebuild his life and reconnect with his loved ones if today's episode taught us anything it's that officers face life-threatening situations all the time whether it's dodging explosions going on high-speed chases or surviving deadly shootouts if you
