Stop resisting. >> Do not resist. Do not pull away. >> Sir, stop touching me. >> Stop pulling away. >> Give me a chance to talk. No. >> Stop touching me. >> Stop touching me. >> It's my understanding that you guys are uh passing some phony money. So, where is the money that you just tried to pay with? >> I didn't print it. >> You didn't print it? That that makes me feel wonderful. >> What the hell is that? >> From counterfeit money and forged checks to fake IDs, financial scams come in all shapes and sizes. And when unsophisticated Kairens are doing the scamming, the cops show up to sort fact from fiction. Complete with clumsy lies and loud tantrums, it all comes crashing down when scamming Karens lose it as police expose their lies. But the crazy thing is now all these crazy people think they're going to get a $3,000 reward cuz I'm on the run or something and they're like sending pictures of my house like on all these rants and race stage and stuff like I have children. Nobody thinks about that. Like I'm not some horrible evil person that deserves to be like witch mob, you know? Like >> on April 9th, 2025, sheriffs in Nassau County, Florida were dispatched to execute a warrant for the arrest of Melissa English. Melissa had been working as a financial secretary at Ameilia Baptist Church. A few months earlier, an accountant discovered Melissa had allegedly been embezzling church funds stretching all the way back to 2019. >> Hey, how you doing, sir? >> Are you the owner of this house? >> It's my son-in-law. Him and his wife are inside. >> Hi. >> Hey, how you doing? We're looking for Melissa English for >> She's got a warrant out of Nassau County. >> Okay. Is she here? >> Um, >> you just need to go see a judge. >> So, she she's been on the phone with the guy. >> Yeah, she already has a thing scheduled for tomorrow morning. >> There's been a detective from Nassau County, >> the lead detective on the case >> and they called us to get a hold. >> That's fine. >> She's already got a hold of them. >> So, can y'all call and confirm that, please? >> They called us to come. >> Y'all want They want y'all to take her. Can I ask when this happened? >> It happened 20 minutes ago. >> Okay. Are y'all able to call the lead investigator? >> We have a warrant signed by a judge. We have to >> otherwise I can't provide >> No, no. You get what I'm saying? >> Yeah. >> No, I'm just trying to understand what's happening. >> Melissa had agreed to surrender herself to prosecutors the following morning, but it's not uncommon for suspects to flee town a day before their court date. This was probably the reason she was being arrested a day prior to her arraignment. >> So, she's going to have to go to our our our sheriff's office. She'll get transferred to Nassau County tomorrow. >> Okay. >> She'll see a judge. She'll talk to the investigator. The investigator might come to us, but they requesting us to come pick her up. >> Said that she was here. >> All right. >> I just I guess >> Can y'all walk with me? >> Well, hold on. I just have a question real quick. Is that okay? >> Okay. >> Okay. If they said, "Hey, you can turn yourself in at this time." Why is it no longer being abided by? Does that make sense? >> That is weird. >> You You gota You got to imagine so many people have told us, "Hey, we're not going to We'll meet you there tomorrow and they're in Tallahassee going west on night. >> Can I handle it?" >> Y >> Well, no, no, no. They can stay here. You go handle it. >> Y'all come over. >> No, no, no. Hold on. I have to This is This is my husband's property. Can I just talk to him real quick, please? This that back cap's not ours. >> Where Where is she? >> She's just outside. I can >> She just ran inside when the cop came. >> No, that was me. >> That was me. This is my house. >> The woman at the door was Melissa's daughter. Hence, it's not surprising she tried to stall the arrest process. Melissa's husband, however, knew the only smart option was to cooperate with deputies, who incidentally gave a nice tour of the property while in route to apprehend her >> back here. >> Yeah, there's more back here. Not like swarm. You're still talking. >> No, no, not you. I'm still >> nice little hangout spot. >> Yeah, it's not. >> Is there another door on the back? >> There's not. >> Okay. It seems like a sad moment for the family. Let's not forget Melissa was being charged with a serious crime. Over the years, she had allegedly stolen over half a million dollars, spending it on luxury goods and services, including vacations, rental cars, and top golf outings. She even used the church's credit card to take a private helicopter tour over the Grand Canyon. >> Do you have your ID on your >> Why did they say I could just come in the morning? >> 27. >> They asked for us to come pick you up. You got to imagine tomorrow. >> Can we can we do this like and I don't know if we can or not. >> Can we y'all follow or whatever? Can we take her to Nassau now? So there's not a transport deal. >> She can if if she was going to bond out tomorrow >> is to my understand. >> She could still bond out with us. >> We appreciate you guys helping us out. Yeah, we'll we'll help out as much as possible, but there's only so much we can do. So, >> I feel like once we got that ticket, I've never been in any kind of trouble. >> Although Melissa's tears may have been genuine, she was still a hardcore scam artist. She had inflicted a lot of pain within the church community she had been stealing from. Abusing her position, she lost everyone's trust. Money that was meant for community service was instead used to finance her family's luxurious lifestyle. But the crazy thing is now all these crazy people think they're going to get a $3,000 reward cuz I'm on the run or something and they're like sending pictures of my house like on all these rants and race stage and stuff. Like I have children. Nobody thinks about that. Like I'm not some horrible evil person that deserves to be like lynch mob, you know? Like and my children damn sure don't. >> I can only speak about like what we do for Baker. And usually if we do anything on our Facebook, it's usually reaching out to try to identify somebody. We don't >> we don't. >> It posted it. It said wanted like there's a ghost word. I'm like, just wanted it. It says I just wanted. >> How about try contacting me first? I would have gladly come in rather than have this. >> In the minds of her family, Melissa was a victim. The victimhood mentality stemmed from local police's Facebook post offering a $3,000 reward for her capture. Apart from that, Melissa, who owned properties all over northeastern Florida, reckoned highstakes financial theft was no big deal. In her mind, stealing $570,000 was as harmless as a speeding ticket. >> And if you remain cool, calm, collective, we won't cut and all that stuff. >> Especially in in front of kids, we try not to do that. >> Unless unless you make us >> threeyear-old, oney old >> 8-year-old knows a lot. >> You still have your ID on you? >> All right. That's the only thing. You just have to leave the chapstick out of the reach of the kids. She has to >> um and you'll go for step up. >> You're good. You're good. >> Let her have a seat. We're good. We're good. >> Please stay on the go. >> Okay. >> I can't. They're taking her. >> Hey, >> 100,000 10,000 10%. Can I hold her real quick? All in all, it was hardly the lynch mob Melissa claimed it would be. Melissa was charged with felony grand theft, posted $10,000 bond, and was released 2 hours later. A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for June 2025. It was back on April 28th, 2025 when police in Peoria, Illinois were called to an apartment after receiving a call from a distressed grandmother whose granddaughter Ashley had been slapping her around. To make matters even worse, Ashley had allegedly stolen her grandmother's credit card. >> What's up, Ashley? >> Hey, Ashley. Can you put down the phone? >> What? What is going on? >> Can you put down the phone? >> Wait a minute. Wait a minute. >> No, >> wait a minute. So, you want to lie whenever I ask you if your name's Ashley, right? >> Uh, because I didn't know what the hell's going on around you. >> You didn't know what's going on? >> No, I don't feel it. So, I figure it was okay. You want me to leave? >> Set this down. >> Stop. Stop resisting. >> Is wrong with you? No. >> Stop resisting. >> What the wrong? Stop resisting. >> What is wrong with you? What did I do? >> I don't have a warrant. >> I don't have a warrant. I didn't do anything. So what the is you doing? >> You got a charge though. >> A charge for what? >> I'm going to explain it to you in a second. >> All right. It I don't give a >> my hand. >> Yeah, because you you're twisting your >> I'm holding on to money. You could be cool, man. The I'm not even resisting. What's wrong with you? >> You were in the beginning. >> Nuhuh. Don't touch me. You going to tell me what the is going on. According to the 911 call placed by her grandmother an hour earlier, Ashley had stolen her credit card and phone charger. A few days prior, Ashley had punched Granny in the face and had given her a massive black eye. The scared old woman finally summoned the courage to call the police for help. >> Okay, so what the is my charge then? >> H what's my charge? >> Domestic theft and criminal damage to property. >> When did I get domestic? I don't know. I'll tell you in a sec. >> You >> okay? >> Huh? >> That's bull crazy. >> I ain't even I don't got no damn charge. When did I ever get a charge? >> My bad. >> God damn it. >> You got anything on you? >> No. Sure you don't got nothing on you? >> What's wrong with y'all? Man, I didn't even know I had any kind of what? >> Oh, you just got it today. Like an hour ago. >> For what? I didn't touch anybody. >> Okay. Where's this? When did this happen? I sure would like to know. >> God damn it. >> Anything in these pockets? >> Yo, >> anything in a bra? >> I don't even have a bra on. I don't even have anything. domestic and criminal to damage. Where is this domestic? >> As far as first impressions go, Ashley sure had a bad attitude and an acid tongue. She admitted she was on probation and acted all hard and tough, but there's nothing tough about beating up your grandmother. >> So, first of all, I came here earlier cuz your grandma said you stole her credit card, took her charger. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. And her driver's license. I bet you all her stuff is right there in her purse. I don't know how to use a credit card. >> You don't know how to use a credit card? >> No, I don't even ever have I've been off my warrant for damn 5 days and I was just going to go to probation and get a job tomorrow. >> Second reason I here because of the domestic. >> What domestic? >> So what happened? Uh was it last Thursday? >> What are you talking about? down there at that Gilbert. Gilbert and uh >> who is Gilbert? >> The road Gilbert >> domestic. >> Yeah. Whenever you were in her car and she gave you a ride to the apartment complex. >> I don't know what you're talking about cuz I didn't see any cop that day. >> No, I never said a cop. Your grandma. >> There was a domestic between me and her. Why didn't I see a cop that day? >> Cuz she didn't call. >> Right. So, what are we getting in? >> Well, guess what? She still has an injury on her face. Still fresh. >> What to do with me? >> Yes, it does. How can we Oh, does it Did you see me do it? >> No. Well, she claimed you did. >> See me do it. >> She claimed you did and she has injury. >> You know what? She hit me and I claimed she did, too. But that don't mean she did it. >> Okay. >> You can't prove that. >> In fact, it wasn't the responsibility of the officer to prove anything. It would be up to a judge to determine Ashley's guilt or innocence. The officer only concerned himself with probable cause. And based on the sworn statement and injuries sustained by the grandmother, there was plenty of it. >> I don't steal. That's going to hurt. She's lying. >> Huh? >> God damn it. >> She's been losing it, man. She's left me out here in the I bar I haven't seen her in weeks. I haven't even had >> So, what happened with all the What happened with all the noodles on the >> See her in months and I sit on >> What happened with all the Hey, you going to let me talk? What happened with all the noodles on the ground in her apartment? >> I don't know. She probably did it cuz she mad. >> So, she would throw the noodles on purpose on the ground and pick them up when I get there. >> Called you and told you I hit her last week. Can y'all believe that? >> Okay. >> There are only a few things more embarrassing than being arrested for stealing from and assaulting the elderly. It's even worse when those elderly victims are your own flesh and blood. Not only is it against the law, but it's a complete betrayal of basic human decency. It turns out Ashley was also diabetic. >> I didn't even have my medicine. >> Wait, >> once you get up to the jail, there's nurses out there. >> Why do I have to go to jail? I didn't do anything. >> Calm down with your arm a little, please. How do you expect me to pour the drink if you want my arm to go down? >> You good? >> It's cold. >> Did you spit on? >> No, I went to spit out the window, but I didn't see the stupid car. God damn it. She's Please don't take me to jail. Go a little lower. I can only give you one more like that, please. >> I don't like sugar. This sucks. >> The truth of the matter is that Ashley was a hot mess. Anyone observing her behavior for a few minutes could tell something was off with her psychology. And when officers patted her down, a key dimension of her sour attitude was revealed. >> She just threw it off. >> You just threw it out of your hand. >> Stop. >> You done? >> Is it there? What is >> You just threw it out of your hand. >> Out of my hand. >> Want to know what the That is, but you're playing games. >> Yeah. Go ahead. playing games. >> Is that why you stop moving? >> And if I did, I would carry it on. >> Oh, now you're all ghetto. >> Before you're like half asleep and now you're ghetto. >> I was snapping. I'm tired. >> Gosh, let's go. >> It ain't no. >> No, it's all right. >> No, it's Thank you. >> Get the testing kit. Ashley was charged with domestic battery, theft, and criminal trespass. Cops were unable to use the testing kit on the glass crack pipe she had dropped because it shattered to pieces after being stepped on. On October 16th, 2021, in Okin County, Georgia, a woman was accused of conducting a fraudulent wire transfer after stealing the banking information of her former roommate to make a car payment. The suspect was hanging out at her friend's house when deputies tracked her down. >> We're here in regards to a situation, I guess, in regarding to a female that was living with you, >> uh, Lynn >> Powell. >> Miss Powell, I can't remember her first name. >> All right. So, she contacted the sheriff's office yesterday and advised us that at some point, uh, routing information and account information was removed from her purse and then that information was utilized to make a car payment. Okay. So, here's the situation. We've got documentation from the bank showing your name on a wire transfer. >> She she went on So, so she's stayed with me for a month. >> Yeah. >> She And so, instead of her paying the $300 for rent and half of utility, I asked her to go on the computer and and pay my car payment because that's basically what it was. It was $438. >> Okay. >> And she she did. So I pulled up the computer like the website for her and she entered that information. I have no idea what her information is. >> Okay. What she's stating is she did not. >> Okay. Well, >> she has Okay. So, she contacted the bank and reported fraud and she's also contacted the sheriff's office. >> There were two conflicting stories, each pointing in a different direction. It would be up to the legal system to sift through the mess and decide whose truth held up. In the end, it would come down to the hard evidence and whoever established stronger credibility. >> So, based on the information we have so far, we are going to take you into custody. >> Listen to me, you guys. I need you to understand something, okay? I understand that you're here. She's your friend. >> I'm a retired police officer. >> I've already spoken to I'm a retired police officer. >> Sure. >> What she says is what she says, >> right? >> Okay. What she says is what she says, right? So you >> And we also have documentation from the bankrant, but she did that herself. >> So you went a warrant. You went and got a warrant for her arrest. >> That's correct. We've already spoken to the judge. Warrant process is being completed and we've also going to be notifying the judge once we have her in custody. That's correct. >> Okay. So So what I'm I know this is being recorded. >> Sure. >> So her rights is she lived with her. She went on a computer and did it. >> Okay. Lyn did >> she Lyn Lyn went on the computer and paid the payment. >> Okay. >> Now that Lyn got Wait a minute. Now that Lind got kicked out of the house, she went and reported this transaction happening. >> So then here's my question. >> Did you see her make the payment? >> Did you see her information? >> Well, we've got documentation from the bank. We've got statements from her and that's why we're trying to get in touch with her. It was a wire transfer, so it doesn't require an actual signature. >> Exactly. >> But the wire transfer has her name on it. She reported it as fraud. >> So, here's the deal. >> You'll be taken into custody today. >> At the time of her arrest, the suspect was visiting her trusted friends. She must have felt she could get some good advice from her buddy, a retired cop. The suspect and her friends strongly maintained her innocence, claiming the allegation was an act of retribution after the former roommate Lynn had been kicked out. >> So, here's the deal. We tried to do this not in public. We tried to meet you at your house. We tried to meet you at the golden pantry. I offered to meet you at the sheriff's office. You wanted to come here. >> She's got a >> You are about to take her to jail. So, what's going to happen? >> So, you'll have a first appearance with the judge. >> Unbelievable. >> And you'll have an opportunity to present your case. >> But as of right now, >> as this is this is ridiculous. >> If if that's something you want to do and you have the ability to do that, sir, that's absolutely right. Okay. >> I will. I cannot believe that somebody who is taken in off the street. >> No, you can wait till my kids are gone. Please don't do this in front of my kids. >> Listen, just come with me in the car. Just walk to the car. >> Debbie, listen. I'm going to have you stand up to make ma'am. I'm going to have you stand up. I'm going have you come with us. Okay. >> Ma'am, can you please leave with my kids? >> Ma'am, >> leave with my kids. Please stand up. We will get her out. >> Please stand up. >> We will get her out. >> Please stand up and come with us. Okay. I don't want this to turn into a scene. I don't want it to be something in front of your children. >> Okay. This is ridiculous. >> This is a law at its finest. >> Actually, the woman was given the opportunity to surrender herself at the sheriff's office, which she should have chosen if she wanted to spare her children from witnessing her arrest. Instead, she declined the opportunity. >> We're gonna take her to the car. >> They want to make sure she gets in hand. >> Are your kids in the car? >> Yes. >> Okay. Just walk back to the back car back here for me. into the back car over here. >> I thought you do on the side where my kids. >> Ma'am, what we're going to do >> just right here >> is we're going to open this door and then you just >> I just want you to have a seat in the car. Okay. >> Have a seat for me. Okay. You don't have anything on first and that's any kind of weapons or drugs or anything like that. I'm just going to ask make sure there's nothing that goes inside the jail or anything like that. Okay. Cuz those are additional charges. >> I mean, do I have to stay till Monday? >> No, you'll see. The judge will do a first appearance uh tomorrow. >> Oh, I don't have to stay at 9:00. I don't have to stay overnight. Please don't. My I'm still nursing. >> As if the situation weren't complicated enough, the woman was still nursing her baby. There's no elegant way to spin this. It's just a ridiculous mess. Between feeding a newborn and facing arrest, her life seem to be pulling in opposite directions. Some choices in life end up landing you far from where you want to be. >> Postpartum. >> Yes, that's fine. >> I cannot stay overnight. >> We won't we won't handcuff you, ma'am. Okay, >> I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about who's going to feed my dog, my child tonight. >> Okay. Well, >> what day? >> The first month. >> Isn't that interesting? And she's just now the day that she was asked to leave the house. >> They're saying I have to stay overnight. I can't do that. >> What day did this transaction happen? >> The first of the month when she >> just now go and shut the door. You can go ahead. She got >> like >> the suspect was brought up on charges of bank fraud. Whether or not she was telling the truth would surface in the courtroom. There was definitely a scam at play and the true scammer would eventually be brought to justice. Post office employees in Lighthouse Point, Florida, called police on February 8th, 2022 after observing a customer trying to cash a money order that had been illegally altered. Police arrived on the scene and apprehended the suspect while in the middle of the act. >> Hold on. Ask somebody to cash a money order. Is it this lady? >> Yeah, >> this lady right here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. It's her. But I don't know what's going on. I just came back. >> Well, have have whoever it is come out here. Call me, will you? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> She's out my um window. She's trying to crash the money >> and it's not >> You know why I can't? >> I need the reason. >> I'm sorry. >> Can you tell me the reason, please? >> I already told you the reason. >> Can you repeat the reason for me? >> Where's Where's the money order? >> Give me the reason. Okay, man. We're >> This is not giving me a reason. >> Well, the the money order's not it's counterfeit allegedly or it's been altered. >> No. >> What we need to realize is that post office staff deal with money orders on a daily basis. Therefore, they'll be able to tell straight away if something looks fishy. The woman's tactic was like a kid wiping chocolate off their face after insisting they never touch the cake. In other words, it almost never works. >> I think she doesn't know. >> It says 55. >> Yes, but she's trying to catch for >> She don't know. >> How do you How do you cash it for 843 when it says 55? >> I can't do that. >> You don't know the USC the codes, >> ma'am. Ma'am, it says it right on there. Put it right on there. You can't write in whatever you want. Cash. >> You know the UC codes? >> Let's go outside. Okay. All right. What's going on? >> Why would you think that's okay to cash something like that? >> If it says $55 on it, but you wrote in $843 and you're wondering why they're not going to >> It's the US law. >> That's not a US law. >> Yes, it is. >> No, it's not. >> The UCC closes on there. >> No, no, no. For $55. >> The UCC closes on there. Do you know the UCC? >> Ma'am, do you have your driver's license? I need your driver's license. >> No. Why do you need to identify me? What did I do? >> Well, you you tried forging a >> That's not a forging >> it. I'm telling you it is. >> It's a UCCc law. Do you know the codes? >> Listen to me. I'm telling you it is. >> Do you know the codes? >> Do you have your driver's license? >> You're not answering the question whether or not you know the pose or not. >> Ma'am, do you have your driver's license? >> Do you know the codes? >> Do you have your driver's license? >> Sir, I'm asking you, do you know the codes? You're not answering my questions, but you want me to answer your question? >> Yes. Yes, I do. >> Can I just get my check back? No, you're not getting this to you. >> We're going to figure out what's going on. And so far, you're not even identifying yourself to it. >> The suspect, Angie, might be the most stubborn woman on the planet. In her mind, she had every right to alter the money order. She refused to identify herself and simply pared the same line over and over again about UC. Odds are Angie had absolutely no idea what the UCC actually is. I need to identify myself too >> because you're trying to cash a check. Listen to me. What you're trying to do is cash a check that you hand wrote in the total for. Do you understand that? >> Sir, that's a that's a US law. >> It's it's a explain to me this code. Explain it to me. >> You don't know the code? >> Explain it to me, >> sir. >> Just explain it to me. >> Can you turn around the chat? Did you Could you turn it around? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, it's um a negotiable instrument apparently and I got the check so I can cash it. >> Are you like a sovereign citizen or something? Is that what you're trying to do here? >> Yeah. >> Sovereign citizens like Angie belong to a loose group of activists. This is a woman who does not believe the legal system applies to her. She only believes in the right to do absolutely whatever she wants. Still, Angie claimed all the benefits of living in society while rejecting all of its rules and regulations. She is truly brainwashed and uneducated. >> You cannot get >> I'm a sovereign citizen. >> Okay, that doesn't make any difference to me. One bit. I just wanted to know so I get to know you a little bit better. You understand? >> Makes a big difference. >> It doesn't because >> you don't know each other. Let me let me explain what's going on here. Do do you see this right here? The total. >> Do you see that? That's printed on there. >> $55. Do you see that? >> Okay. I should have got a blank one. The person should have got a blank one. Is what you saying? >> No. No. No. What What you should have done is had this printed out for the right amount of money. That's what the whole You're not getting this. >> It's a negotiable instrument. >> I don't care. >> I I really don't. >> Can I just get my check though? >> No. cuz that's actually you're confiscating something illegally that doesn't belong. >> This was the height of hypocrisy. As a sovereign citizen, Angie didn't believe the state had the power to make or enforce laws. But as soon as she believed an injustice had been done to her, she complained about the law being broken. When in fact, the only thing broken was her ideology. >> Is there a way I can contact the people that gave you this? Um, I don't know >> because you're telling me that they gave you they're they gave you this like this. Okay. >> It's a negotiable instrument. Do you know the UCCC law, sir? >> Do you know the UCCC laws? I really have to ask. You haven't answered yes or no. >> I know criminal law yet. I know a criminal. >> You haven't answered yes or no to that question. >> Explain it to me. >> If you don't know the UC laws, why are you confiscating something that doesn't belong to you? >> Explain it to me. >> Can I Can I get my check back, please? Cuz at this point, >> no, not until I want. You're telling me that this person >> gave you this right here. >> The way it already is. >> Can I get your cash? >> Sure. 323. >> We don't carry. It's just 323. birthday. >> All right, move the penc. >> And it's actually on your badge. Your badge number is on your badge. So, >> is that right? You tell us. >> You should have to carry your badge with you. >> Okay. >> So, where's your badge? >> Give me your ID. >> I don't have to give you my ID. I need my check though. >> You're not getting this back. >> More hypocrisy. Angie wanted the officers to identify themselves, which they promptly did. And yet, she refused to identify herself. This wannabe queen thought that her wish was everyone else's command. She obeyed no one and demanded obedience from everyone. A >> federal document's been altered. You tried to present it. >> That's the law. >> No, that's a negotiable instrument. >> It's a federal document. >> Isn't that backed by gold? >> It's a federal document. >> Isn't that backed by gold? It's a federal document. I'll try >> document back $55 of it is >> we're just going to go around in circles cuz she's not going to acknowledge anything. So, >> no, you're not getting this >> back and she's not identifying herself. >> Here's a news flash for Angie or anyone else who doesn't like to read actual history. The US dollar hasn't been backed by gold in more than 50 years. In fact, there's not a single country left in the world that still 100% backs its currency by a gold standard. >> Can I get my rank? >> No. This is going to be their property and evidence. Come on. >> Can I get my money? >> Come on. Let's talk here so we don't make a scene here. Come on. Come on. It's all being recorded. There you go. >> Yeah. Let me record this. >> It's being recorded. Okay. Can I get my check, please? >> You're not getting this check. You just tried to go into a post office. >> Give me my check. >> Put our cops. Put our cops. >> That's my check. >> Get your hand on it. You put a hand on me. Listen, you put a hand. I'm pregnant. Stop. >> Okay. Well, you're resisting. Stop. Put >> my hand on you. I touch the chest. >> Stop resisting. Stop resisting. Stop. >> Resisting. >> Stop resisting. >> You're under arrest. You stop resisting. Okay. You're resisting. You're resisting. Stop resisting. Stop resisting. You're under arrest. >> For what? >> Assault. You assaulted this officer. You're under arrest. You are under arrest. >> You're under arrest. Ma'am, stop this thing. >> Ma'am, you're Can you stop? >> You're under arrest. Angie claimed to be pregnant, but it was difficult to confirm when she's fighting with the cops like she's not. Often times, suspects say anything in the hope of getting cops to be more lenient. To their credit, Lighthouse Point police had been incredibly polite and professional with Angie, despite her being an obvious scam artist. >> I don't do anything. >> Come on. >> I just got to go. No check this off of me. I didn't do anything. >> You're under arrest. >> I didn't do anything. >> You batter mattered this officer. >> I did not do anything. >> You battered the officer. >> No, I did. >> All on video. >> I was trying to get my >> All on video. >> Are you kidding me? >> I did not. >> You're under arrest. What am I arrested for? >> Well, to start with, >> you slaughtered my arm. >> I didn't do anything to you. >> I was not only touched the chest. I didn't even touch you. What am I arrested for? >> I just told you assaulting a police officer. >> No, I'm not. I did not assault you. You're lying. You're lying. Why are you lying? >> What's up, camera? >> Why are you lying? >> Have a seat. >> Have a seat. >> I need you to stop resisting me. >> Angie was charged with passing a forged, altered bill or promisary note, which is a felony. She also received a misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest without violence. A financial detective from the Kaukashu Parish Sheriff's Office was investigating a case of bank fraud in 2024 in Louisiana. The case involved an attempt to deposit a fake $50,000 check. On the 18th of January, the lead detective was notified the suspect had entered the branch. >> Miss Spain, can you come talk to me, please? >> Yeah. Okay, >> let's step right in there if you don't mind. You can have a seat right there if you want. >> So, I'm Detective Weekly with the Couch Bear Sheriff's Office. I'm a I'm a financial crimes detective. I have a case where your name has come up. It's a case number 24-3117. It's a bank fraud case. >> Yeah, that's what I'm coming up here for. >> You're coming up here for some bank fraud stuff? >> Yes. Detective Weekly still needed to read the 23-year-old woman colontto Spain her Miranda writes before collecting her sworn statement. Two bank employees were present to give statements to but collecting the statements was not going to be easy as the atmosphere in the room was about to become much more hectic. >> I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my account as well that I just left the the one. >> You went to get a debit card is what? I went to go get my debit card, but yeah, I had just I was in my account and I'm looking or whatever. And >> ma'am, you can step outside. >> Please step outside. >> Mom, just step out. I don't I'm trying to figure out the same thing. >> If you interfere in my investigation, I will place you under arrest. Please step outside. She's She's an adult. She's an adult. >> But you don't have to disrespect my mom anymore. >> Step outside, ma'am. >> And you don't have to And I'm going to tell you, you don't have to disrespect my mom neither. >> I'm not going to ask you again. at the same time. Like that's that's what I'm here for. Just Mom, close the door. Please close the door. >> Poor Beth. Can you send me a patrol unit? >> You don't have to be disrespectful towards anybody's parents. That's my mother. She's She's trying to figure out what's going on. >> It's none of her business. >> It is her business. >> It's not. >> It is. >> You are an adult. >> It doesn't matter. And that's still my mother. >> Can you please lower your voice? >> I don't have to lower anything. >> Miss Spain was dialing up her hostile tone. She was determined to escalate the situation and take an aggressive posture with Detective Weekly. Her mother was there to lend a helping hand, but she was irrelevant in the case and was only impeding the legal process. >> That's what I'm saying. It was not me. >> All right, Miss Spain. I have this form. Can you make sure >> I'm not signing nothing until I see everything that you have going? >> Go ahead and stand up. Go ahead. Stand up for me, please. >> Stand up for what? I just want to see what's going on first. I don't want to be arrested for something that I don't even know anything about. That's why Look, I tried to get you I tried to get a statement from you. >> I'm giving you a statement, but I don't want to know. >> No, you just told me you're not signing anything, so I can't ask you any questions first. >> No, ma'am. You can go ahead and stand up. >> I don't want to be arrested for something that I did. >> It's too late. The decision's already been made. Go ahead and stand up. >> What am I being arrested for? >> Please stand up. >> Miss Bane, please stand up. >> Can y'all please like tell me >> I'm not going to ask you again. Please stand up, Miss Spain. Sir, >> I will sign it. >> It's too late now. >> How is it too late? You didn't give me a chance to talk. >> Do not resist. Do not pull away. >> Sir, stop touching me. >> Stop pulling away. >> You didn't give me a chance to talk. No. >> Stop touching me. >> Stop touching me. >> You better >> stop. Sir, I'm telling you, stop touching me. Do not touch me. Don't touch me. >> Don't touch me. >> 450 33 >> Where's my mom? Don't touch me. >> Don't touch me. >> Give me your hand, Miss No. >> Coante, give me your hand. Do not under arrest. >> Arrest for what? I didn't do anything. >> Give me your hand. >> I did not do anything. >> Miss Bane, >> I didn't, sir. I didn't under arrest anything. >> Miss Bane, you were under arrest. >> Please. Where's my mom? Can you get my mom? There's a time in our lives, especially in childhood and adolescence, when our beloved mothers can get us out of every jam we find ourselves in. But for Miss Spain, the time for Mommy Dearest coming to her rescue was already over. >> You were under arrest. >> Can you get my mom stop touching me? >> Miss Bane, you are under arrest. >> Right now to stop touching me, sir. >> Miss Bane, you are under arrest. >> Miss Bane, you are under arrest. >> Stop touching me. >> Miss Bane. Christa, >> I'm going to jail for something that I did not do. Bro, >> stop touching. >> Give me your hand. Miss P. >> I'm at the bank trying to get another credit card >> and they came in here a a sheriff or something came up in here talking about I'm under arrest for bank fraud. I didn't even do anything. Like, >> stand up, Miss Bane. You're under arrest. >> I'm telling you, don't touch me. >> Miss Bane, you're under arrest. >> No, I'm not. Don't touch me. >> Yes, you are. >> No, I'm not. Don't touch me. >> Crystal, please help. Spain, you're under arrest. >> You can figure all this stuff out later, but you're already under arrest for battery of a police officer and resisting arrest force or violence. >> You were under arrest for attempted bank fraud. So, go ahead. >> Attempted bank fraud. I didn't do anything. >> I have the probable cause. Miss Bane, >> we're probable cause. You don't You didn't show me any evidence. >> Stand up for me, Miss Call my mama, please. Stand up. She outside. 337426. Stop touching me. [Applause] >> Come on, baby. Don't do that. >> Don't do that. >> Okay, I'm going to get your mama. >> Miss Spain decided to go into maximum resistance mode. She wasn't going to be taken into jail without a fight. Her fighting technique was wild and undisiplined. She had decided to do anything. Scream, kick, punch, slap, headbutt in order to inflict pain on the arresting officers, especially Detective Weekly. >> Got >> I didn't do anything. >> Okay. Well, we going to figure this out. >> That's what I was trying to do. >> Okay. Well, unless we going to do that, but stop him off of me. I don't want him touching me. Sir, can you please get me up? I don't want him touching me. Stop touching me. I got it. I got it. Stop. >> Come on. Come on. >> You're going to have to belong. >> Come on. >> Uh, Linda, >> look. >> Let me give her >> Hey, you want to go this way? >> Back out in the parking lot, Detective Weekly once again encountered Miss Spain's mother. Despite being popped in the face by her daughter, Weekekley still treated the elderly woman with professional courtesy when explaining the arrest. She's under arrest for attempted bank fraud, battery of a PO, resistant force, or violence. >> Okay. >> You can call the jail to find out what her bond is. >> Cover me. >> So, did you hit my child though, son? >> No, but she hit me. >> Okay. >> It's all on body camera. You get a copy of the video from the sheriff's office. Please don't approach. >> Kelly, get away from me. Like, seriously, >> I said just just just calm down. >> He didn't do nothing. That's all I tried to tell him. >> All right. Well, just go ahead. Just go ahead. Just go ahead. We gonna figure it out. Just go ahead. >> Don't create any more trouble. >> From the photographs the detective had as evidence, he noticed another man in the parking lot who looked familiar. As it turned out, the man was Miss Spain's companion, or rather her accomplice. Apparently, he didn't expect hanging around the bank would cause any suspicion. >> Sir, can you look at me, please? >> What? Can Can I get your name? >> Belton Charles. You want to give me a statement? >> Statement? >> Yeah. >> I don't even know what's going on. She asked for a ride to the bank. I came brought it here and all y'all here. >> Well, uh, a check was deposited into uh into her account >> and, uh, it's a fake check. Would you like to give me a statement? >> I don't know what's going on. I just told you she asked for a ride. I gave >> Well, I I just I just told you what I'm currently investigating. Mr. Charles, do you want to give me a statement or >> give you a statement? She asked for a ride to the bank. >> That's not That's not what my statement is going to be about. I just told you a counterfeit check was deposited. >> Nothing to do with that. Does Does my name on there? Does my name is my name on there? Anything? I don't have nothing to do with that. Wait, what about that? >> Let me see that. >> Is that you? >> No, that ain't me. >> It looks like you Well, do what you want to do. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Let's ride. Let's ride. >> I'm not time for that. You keep on asking me something. I'm telling you, she asked for a ride to the bank. I can't give her a ride to the bank. How many you want me to give you upset with you? >> I'm yelling cuz he pissing me off. You keep on asking me the same thing over and over and over if you want. If you want to talk to him about a case, he's working. >> I don't know nothing about a case. He asked me to give him a statement. >> Talk with him about >> what? I don't know nothing. I just told him what I know. >> You want to talk about >> I I'll tell you I'll tell you what. >> You asked me, "Do I want to give him a statement?" I just gave him a statement. She asked for a ride to the bank. I gave you >> Mr. Charles. Mr. Charles, I'll tell you what. This is This is what we'll do. I'll give you a card with a phone number and the case number on it. If you decide you want to give me a statement about that check being deposited into her account, you can give me a call. Okay. and Felton Charles was a perfect match for Miss Spain as they both acted like big dumb babies. Actually, Detective Weekly just wanted to talk to him because that's precisely what good detectives are supposed to do, dig up information. Felton was not arrested at that time. And through it all, Detective Weekly still performed his job with grace and poise. >> I'm going to do my paperwork and she's going to be booked into the Cal Correctional Center at 54. She did that to your eye. >> It's it's it's part of the job. I I completely understand. It shouldn't have happened. Um but I I understand the position she was in. >> But the way he talked to me when I was trying to figure out like he he was just saying I was interrupting, but I really I guess he was just it was all a part of >> So I've been doing this job for 10 11 years now. Usually, whenever a family member comes and and sees a cop talking to their their family member, like a daughter, and they come interrupt, I'd like to be as respectful as possible, but her being an adult, it's nobody else's business. If she wants to tell you after I'm done talking to her, >> that's that's her decision. >> Okay? >> Uh but I'm I'm also not going to I I can't be having people interrupt. And I need I'm be honest, I didn't even like having the bank employees in there because people whenever they're listening to whenever I'm getting a statement, they tend to start interrupting and that affects my statement. I didn't like having them in there, but the bank is the victim on this case. >> Okay. >> Colby Spain was charged with bank fraud and resisting arrests with force. [Music] On the 6th of July 2024 in Orlando, Florida, a woman was trying to withdraw a large sum of money from a credit union. Bank tellers became suspicious with the form of identity she provided and denied her withdrawal. The bank then called for assistance. >> Come on over and ask better. That's so you took a 1080 or taking a 1080, but I don't think it's going to be it. >> You got ID on you? >> No, he has my ID. >> Okay. What's going on? >> Oh, he's right there. I don't know. >> Yeah, we'll do that within a minute. >> This is the only ID that you have. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> That's what I'm saying. What's going on? >> We're just trying to figure that out. We got to call like like I said right now completing investigation. Doesn't mean anything's going to happen. We just got to figure out. We got to call. We got to talk to them and see what's going on. Okay. >> Oh, okay. I'm like I'm just a little confused cuz I'm here on a work trip and I'm like >> Okay. What do you do for work? >> I do um cabinet work. >> Okay. From New Mexico. >> Yeah. >> At first glance, it was odd for a woman with a New Mexico ID to be withdrawing money from a Florida credit union. But that was not even the first red flag that aroused the bank teller suspicions. Meanwhile, cops had just then arrived on scene and needed to do their due diligence. So, basically, um, she just walked up. Um, she was a little bit nervous. I could kind of tell. So, then she comes up. She goes, "Hey, I want to do a passion pants." I said, I looked at the idea like, "Okay, so for how much?" She says, "Five if I can, three if you can do it." And I was like, "Okay, well, give me just a few moments where I look at that for you." So, I just messaged our manager group chat um that we've had her trying to do this multiple times like at other branches. So it was like a lookout. So then um my ABM Michael came over. I gave him the license and the car so then he could go back there and look at it. And then I just make small talk pretty much the whole time. >> What is it that you guys are looking to do? Like what has she done? I know you said that. It's like look at what what has she done? >> The advances. What is that? >> I'm a floater. I'm not always here. >> Oh yeah. >> Yeah. So um two days ago or a day ago she came in doing a cashier for 3000. >> Mhm. with a newer teller that was here. So, she processed it for her, but this time she was trying to do one for three or five, like whatever she could get off the card. >> As it turns out, this woman had been withdrawing large sums of money from various branches of Fairwinds Credit Union. She had been using different fake IDs from different states. Apparently, on one occasion, she succeeded in receiving a $3,000 sum, but her luck was finally running out. >> What's your name again? >> My name is Emily. >> Okay. And your date of birth? >> So, police officers, right? We try to um identify everyone that we come in contact with and stuff like that. So, I'm running your information right now. Right now, I'm having a little hard time finding your information. Could be because it's out of New Mexico. It's possibly could be the reason why. Um, we have a fingerprint scanner that can do that. It'll be expedite this, get you out of here much faster. You good with doing that? >> I guess. >> So, we're just gonna grab it real quick. Okay. >> Okay. >> Cool. >> Can I have my phone? >> No. >> Just Just until we're done. >> So, so listen, sweetheart. You're we're doing we're conducting a criminal investigation right now. So, right now, you are detained and you cannot use your phone. Okay? And I'm going to say this to you as well. If you lie about your identity, you're going to go to jail. Do you understand me? I'm going to be straight up with you. So, don't play this game back and forth with us. All right? If we give you, we're going to I'm going to have you give him your information. If at any point you lie about it, which we're going to find out cuz we're going to scan you, >> you're going to go to jail. >> It's as simple as that. There's no other way around it. >> We understood. >> So, this ID that you handed me is you. >> No, it's not. >> It's not true. >> No. >> What isn't real? >> My name is >> Facing imminent arrest for lying about her identity, Emily became Tabitha real quick. In that moment, Tabitha incriminated herself by admitting that the ID she had in her possession was not hers. She was either using a fake ID or she had stolen someone else's identity, both of which are serious crimes. >> So, it's like she's using somebody's real real info. You understand that's a felony, right? >> When you use somebody's information that comes back to a real person, you have not committed a felony crime. Okay? I'm just making you very aware of that. >> Should I run this on? >> Yeah. Thank you. Explain to me you came out. We're conducting an investigation. >> But I I just want to let somebody >> You're not ready. Listen, you're not letting me be detained. >> You are detained 100%. You're taking me to >> We don't know yet. But you're not using your phone. You're not going nowhere. >> I just want to let someone >> It's not going to happen. No. >> Okay. >> Okay. When you This is what you decided to do. Now we're here. >> I know. I'm sorry. >> Okay. But you're not using your phone. Your phone is now in our possession. >> I get it. But I just wanted to let somebody know that. You just need to sit tight and you need to relax and you need to wait for us to get done doing what we're doing. >> From their speaking tone, it was obvious the officers were not messing around. Identity theft and financial fraud are crimes with real victims. Imagine having your hard-earned savings sucked dry by a lazy financial vampire like Tabitha. >> So, what's going on? >> Um, I was just doing this because I'm in like financial fantasy and that's the reason why I did it. It wasn't like something that I wanted to do. >> Okay. >> And here I am. >> Your financial a what what gave you the idea to even do this. >> Somebody made it sound so sweet. Like just hearing it from other people and >> and I was just like maybe I'll just take a risk because it's something that I've never done. I mean I don't do anything like this. I don't ever get in trouble. I've never been in trouble. So it's like you know you follow the wrong footsteps and here I am. >> Okay. Who who told you to do this? >> Just people. Like I've heard people like doing it. I've seen people doing it and like >> when like how do you how do you see people? Because I'm trying to understand. I've never seen anyone do this. So that's why I'm trying to like figure out where are you where are you seeing people do this? >> Like what I'm saying like I've seen it like movies, you know, those are the type of things. >> Okay. >> If Tabitha thought she could pull off a Hollywood style bank heist, she was sorely mistaken. Trying to outsmart a bank with a fistful of stolen IDs takes more intelligence than she brought to the table. No doubt Tabitha was the last one to notice. She was in way over her head. >> How many times How many times have you done this? >> This is my first time. Insane. This is like my first time. This is my first time. And here I am like Dave. >> So where are you getting these IDs from? >> It was given to me >> from who? It was given to me from a person. I don't even know him. >> What did you find? >> I didn't find him. It was just like from a person like and then they went to that person and then it was just like they gave it to me. >> So, I understand it may be that you're not trying to like throw something under the bus, but like I said, at the end of the day, we're talking to you. We're not talking to these other people. We're talking to you. And this story is not making any sense. No, no, no. I'm >> This person didn't just walk to your house and say, "Hey, here's this credit card. Do this at the bank cuz you need some extra cash." There had to have been something set in motion. >> No, no. Literally, that's how it was. And I >> Someone just walked to your house. >> No, no, no, no, no. The person the person I met them one time, okay, one time and one time only. And then he was like, "We can do this." And then it was just like that. And then it was super fast. And then I came today and this is where I'm at. And I promise you, I promise you, I've never been in trouble. I've never done this before, but this is my first time. >> Tabitha was lying through her teeth. She had committed the same crime multiple times at different branches, and it was all caught on surveillance footage. Any person who thinks they can walk into a bank without being seen on CCTV must be suffering from brain damage or have a very low IQ. >> You're saying this your first time? They have you using this card yesterday to get another cash advance yesterday. So, this is obviously not >> That's why I'm saying yesterday I came. That's why I told the other officer I came yesterday because I was coming to get the cash. >> Mhm. >> And then this is my second time here today because they told me that I could do it. >> That was it. And I was like, "Okay, well, >> and you're claiming someone just randomly came up to you, gave you this ID, this credit card, and said, hey, guess that makes no sense." >> Well, get I'll tell you what. Here's what's going to happen. So, you drove an hour and 20 minutes to come to Orlando for this. So, here here's what's going to happen. And I'm going to I'm not playing games with you right now. You're going to jail. >> I'm sorry. >> You're going to jail. >> Please. >> No. No. No. I'm telling you now. You're going to jail. >> Okay. So, that's going to happen. >> So, here's the person. >> Good for me. All right. So, here's what's going to happen. You're going to jail. >> He's taking already. I'll get you. Yeah. Okay. So, listen. Stop talking. You're going to jail. That's it. Then we're not even going to start. We're not even looking at this anymore. >> Okay? I don't want to go to jail because I promise you I'll give you all >> What I'm telling you is I don't want to hear I don't know. I've been doing this too long. I don't know. >> Okay. >> I'll be very clear on this. >> You're not going to go through your phone. If you will allow us to go through your phone and you want to get some numbers for him to take, then we will investigate this further. Okay? But other than that, you'll take the whole damn rap and we're done. >> It sure is satisfying when a suspect like Tabitha gets nabbed red-handed. Tabitha seriously deserved to get caught and face a punishment to fit the crime of stealing from ordinary middle class people who keep their savings in a credit union. >> This is pretty cut and dry. So for you to lie to us like that doesn't make any sense. >> I'm lying to you. I promise you I all you've done since we stepped out with you was lie to us. You gave me this ID >> in the beginning. I did because I was scared. Obviously I'm sorry. >> This isn't the first time you've given someone else ID. you given other people's ID like an ID out of New Jersey and stuff like that. We have all of that doc we have all of that documented on camera >> and we're asking and we're asking for you to just talk to us. >> Yeah, and I am but I'm promising >> this is not your first time. >> No, I swear to God this is my first time. I've never had >> I've never had another ID. >> So you have no idea who Emily Hancock is? >> No. >> And you're just taking her money? >> Tabitha was arrested shortly thereafter. The crime of using a stolen ID for credit card fraud when totaling over $300 is considered a thirdderee felony in Florida. We could only hope the full weight of the law was applied to Tabitha so she would never pull a similar stunt again. On August 15th, 2024, sheriff's deputies in Valuia County, Florida, were dispatched to a Walmart after it was reported that a woman had repeatedly tried to pay for merchandise with a counterfeit $100 bill. >> All right, ladies, do me a favor. Stop right there. >> Yes. >> All right. Um, it's my understanding that you guys are uh passing some pony money. So, where is the money that you just tried to pay with? >> I didn't print it. You didn't print it. That makes me feel wonderful. >> What the hell is that? >> I don't know. Okay. >> It's Monopoly money. >> It's clearly not real. So, >> I don't know. I have cataract in my eye. I went from eye surgery. Somebody owed me money and gave me that. So, >> somebody owed you money, gave you that. You came here and tried to pass it. >> I came here and put it in the machine. It didn't work. So, she marked it for me so that I paid for it with real money. I didn't know >> you have it. I was just going to hang it on my wall. >> I was going to hang it on my wall. Yeah. >> You do realize that passing fate or counterfeit money is a felony. Correct. >> I do, but I didn't know it was counterfeit. It was given to me. >> I didn't I don't print money. >> Seriously. >> Yeah. That's >> Why would you even Do you have your ID on you? >> I don't. >> The woman in possession of the fake money, Lisa, thought she could joke her way out of the predicament. Her defense that cataracts made her unable to see if the money was genuine, was the oldest and lamest excuse in the book. From the halfdestroyed shape the bill was in. You don't need eyes to tell it wasn't legitimate. >> No, this is clearly fake. >> Yeah. >> What do you want to have happen? >> I mean, the last one that we had, we also didn't lose any money. This is a couple weeks ago and we still prosecuted just for the That's >> We can be allowed to do that. That's what we wanted. >> She would have jumped from the 47 >> and she was the one putting the money in. It's I took it. I use my pen. >> So I still see I know that it's fake but I mark on the back and they have to shine a single red on the corner on top. >> I'll go pull this. >> So you saw her um sliding it into the machine. >> Sliding in the machine to twice to >> Okay. Then she moved over to another machine >> in here. I don't she was doing here but I stopped in here for >> Tina saw her in that one. >> Okay. >> And then she went over there. >> All right. I'm gonna go pull the video so we can see. >> Lisa tried to get the self-service cash machines to take her phony money. Good luck trying to get a modern scanning device to accept a cheap fake. Her next hope was an oblivious cashier in the full service lane might not notice, but this loweffort, low IQ crime was doomed to blow up in her face. >> How do you know Lisa? >> Um, we live in transitional housing. >> Live in transitional housing. Yeah. How long have you known her? >> Uh about 6 months. >> Not even 6 months. Yeah. >> Okay. Um were you aware of >> I had no clue. >> Look at if I saw that it would be like it looks like Monopoly money. >> Mhm. >> Jeez. Come on. Look at it. Yeah. But yeah, I would never to you that this does not look real. >> Absolutely right. Okay. >> Yeah. Of course, anybody >> You weren't aware at any point in time she was going to pay using this bill? >> No. never even knew she had it. >> All right. >> And >> how many times did you see her try to pay with this? >> I never saw her. I didn't even know she had it and I never saw it. >> Okay. >> I went in line cuz I didn't want to pack my own bundles, you know. >> Mhm. >> And uh then she went and did her thing, I guess, you know, and bought soda, but I had no idea. >> So, she was alone at the selfch checkout. Yes. >> While you were in line for Okay. >> Yep. And the guy can vouch for me. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I really, officer, right? You know what I mean? >> All right. >> That's crazy. >> You swear. Raise your right hand. You swear everything you told me was true and accurate. >> Yes, I do, officer. >> Unsurprisingly, the roommate played innocent and claimed to have no knowledge of Lisa's shenanigans. At the same time, it was not guilty by association, meaning she would not be held responsible for her friend's poor choices. It looked like she was off the hook. >> Miss Lisa, >> yes. >> Stand up for me. >> Yes. All right. Put your items right there. >> Okay. >> Uh, do you want her to take your items? >> Oh, no. >> Okay. At this time, you're being placed under arrest. >> Okay. >> All right. This is crazy. Well, for one, I watched the video >> and it's clear as day that you tried to pay >> not once, not twice, not even three times, like four time, four or five times with this bill. >> Um, it's clear as day this bill >> machine yesterday. You can watch that video and the lady gave me a hard time and she said, "We have a problem." I said, "We don't have >> I said I don't have a problem. >> Come this way." >> So, I thought it was just that machine. >> Okay. But it's clear as day that this is not real. So, I'm I'm going to ask you a few more questions here in a second. Okay. >> Medical telling you I can't see it. I'm blind. >> Okay. >> The blindness angle aside, the CCTV cameras at Walmart are always on. Lisa's odd behavior at the register made her look like a walking red flag. Down on her luck, she was willing to risk getting a felony for free stuff. Can >> I smoke a cigarette? >> Yeah. You have some in there. >> Yeah. Run away. >> I couldn't if I wanted to. I got put some medical. >> Yeah, you're good. >> Oh god. >> Yeah. Unfortunately, I'm not I can't >> release you. >> I don't understand why. What an arrest. >> Uttering forge bills. >> Uttering forge bills. >> Yeah, that's the charge. Uttering forge bills. It's basically passing uh forge mic. >> So I go to court with uh documents saying I can't see there going to be a problem. >> Well, that's something between you and the court. >> I can't tell you what's going to happen in court. >> So I could tell you one thing and the complete opposite could happen. >> You know, >> you can't fault the officer for being a nice guy by letting Lisa have a few final puffs before being brought back to the station. But when a female officer arrived to search her, another piece of the puzzle was found hiding in Lisa's undergarment. >> Nothing touched on you. Anything on you or any you when you get in the jail is a felony when you get there? Do you have anything? Is this like super tight? >> Huh? >> Appreciation. Why do you keep turning people? >> Don't shop for more if you don't see. >> I didn't shop. >> What' you do? Use a 500? >> Yeah. >> Not only is it >> No, it's not. I don't want to see my >> I'm drinking in my bra in front of people >> cuz you have a stem in your bra, >> bro. So, >> I don't want anybody to see. We're done with that. >> I don't care. I don't want anybody see me naked out in front of Walmart. >> You're not naked. You're It's It's covered. >> Come on, man. Would you want someone to do that to you in front of Walmart? >> Okay. Well, you've lied to me. >> For anyone unfamiliar with hardcore drug paraphernalia. That was a pipe the female officer pulled out of Lisa's bra. It shouldn't come as a shock that you're not allowed to bring a crackpipe into the county jail. Needless to say, the female officer was not amused. No, >> I don't have to tell you. >> Okay, maybe I should have left it in there. You could have got the felony in the I don't care. >> What is your problem? >> I don't have a problem. >> I don't have a problem. >> I don't want nobody to see me naked. >> Okay. Well, I asked you if you have anything on you because it's a felony when you get into jail and you tell me essentially to go. No, I didn't. >> So, you wanted to take >> wanted to take him to go to jail? >> Yes, I did. >> Why don't you get another felony? >> No. >> Florida. >> Ridiculous. Can you hold us to say anything after you read my rights? So why do I have to say anything? >> I'm not asking for that. >> That's completely different. I was asking if you had something on you because I need to search you. >> I don't care if you search me. I just didn't want my hanging out. >> Okay. Well, now they're going to get out more because I know you're lying to me. >> I don't care. >> Okay. >> I'm going to pop her bra off in the door because she's >> All right. >> For Lisa, her stalk continued to plummet. Concealing an illegal object from law enforcement during a patown is a surefire way to annoy the heck out of them. Much respect to the officer because would you want to dig a dirty pipe out of a stranger's bra? >> But when my deputy asked you, you have anything on you that you need to know about? >> No. And I asked you if you had anything on you because when you get into jail, it's a felony. >> I know that. I understand that. >> You didn't say anything. >> No, I'm not. >> Okay. So at this point in time, Lisa, if if you have anything else on you and you go into the jail, they're going to find it and then I'm going to charge you with that, which is a felony. >> You understand that? >> I don't trust if she has any weapons. >> I don't have a weapon. >> I'm sorry. >> No, I'm not climbing in a car with you. >> What am I going to do to you? Lisa was charged with uttering forged bills, which is a thirdderee felony. She could also be charged in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia if lab results confirmed it contained traces of a controlled substance. Anyone who scams their way through life shouldn't be surprised when life pays them back with a heavy dose of justice. After all, every con has its consequences. Thanks for watching.
