balance test okay so what you're going to do is put your um we're going to have an imaginary line going right back here toward my squad car put your left foot on the line and put your okay and then put your right foot in front of your left foot touching heel to toe touching Heel To Toe okay keep your hands at your side remain in this position while I explain to you the test uh when I say begin you'll take nine Heel To Toe steps down the line turn around take nine Heel To Toe steps back where you began make your turn by keeping your foot on the line and using your other foot to turn yourself around by taking several small steps keep but keep your arms at your side at all times count okay count your steps out loud once you begin the test do not stop until so you've completed the test I will demonstrate I'm going to do so nine I'm going to do three but you're going to do nine so my left foot's on the line right foots in front of left foot and I will now demonstrate the test one 2 3 you'll go all the way to nine you'll take a series of small steps and then go one two three all the way back to nine to the be to the position you began in so ready okay you may begin the test M toe M position till I've explained and demonstrated the test to you when I say begin you're going to raise one foot about 6 in off the ground stay in that position and count out loud 1 1,000 2 1000 and so on until I tell you to stop it'll be about 30 seconds if you put your foot down immediately lift it back up and continue the test watch your raised foot with your eyes during this test keep your hands
