person he brought drugs to the date planning to use them with the boy but didn't know that the 15-year-old didn't actually exist and that an undercover police officer was Behind The Profile setting a trap for him let me know if he goes to that door I got to duck down go put that down please put that down please turn around put your hands on your back put this stuff down Hands by your back please just relax you're underr huh you're under arrest okay me any any sharp objects on your person any weapons uh no Jack KN oh Jack KN no problem [Music] there was a syringe filled with meth inside this box so everything was ready for use on the spot please just just D sure I understand it's uncomfortable come off no I can't long how long are it going to be on not long I can't deal with this I it and a safer way of using it because um he always does it you know in and I I always said to him I say but you know what I mean your your terminology used to suggested that you're you're very familiar with methamphetamine where where did you get the methamphetamine from I don't know the name I oh I don't believe you who did I who ask the question again who did you purchase the methampetamine from okay and don't lie to me do I need to answer it I want you to answer it is it going to help me it's not going to hurt you it's going to show some cooperation on your own exactly and that's why it would be smart for Jeffrey to cooperate because he's facing serious charges possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance child enticement and using of a computer to facilitate a child's sex crime to be exact nevertheless he claims that he just wanted to have fun says he doesn't know the dealer and what's more interesting he says he doesn't know much about drugs even though he described everything in detail online let's not forget that he's also a former user everything is clear as day and now the police are just trying to persuade Jeffrey to give them as many details as possible these are significant charges okay you're under arrest for possession with intent to deliver meth iine child enticement and using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime why are you lying about your personal meth habit me why are you why are you being dishonest about your use I don't use it I don't use it I I'm not lying about it I mean you want to test me or or I do not use it you just buy it to share um are you selling it no no okay so um obviously your intention today was to share it share it yeah that's a good word yep but not for myself but it's it's yours so you bought it who did you buy it from you said you bought it from him but he couldn't afford it that doesn't make any sense I don't know who he got it from I gave him the money so he wanted meth you going to do with it I would like you were consent to search the contents of your cellular phone and make a download and download a copy of your phone um with that I would I'll be seizing your phone as evidence but I would like consent to to search it and download it would you consent to me searching your phone if I don't then I'm going to write War for it but if I go through it with your consent and one way or another you're going to get it right I be honest with me I won't speak for a judge um but I believe that there's sufficient probable cause to write a warrant to search your phone go ahead and search you okay when I go through your phone is there going to be other individuals that you communicate with about methamphetamine or other underage persons that communicating about sexual acts can you offer any explanation as to why you think things went as far as they did today I don't know it never you know person was online and chitchatting back and forth and you know it made it another guy didn't run you off or anything no we got a guy over there thinks he's all big and bad never thinks he owns the road what what' he say to you he was saying if you're going to talk to little children's toy and a pack of tissues which will further raise suspicion about his actions that day sex offender registration laws prevent registered offenders from living within a certain distance of schools playgrounds and other places where children commonly gather the goal is to keep such people as far away from children as possible and since the suspect has clearly made contact with a 10-year-old he broke those laws huh what's he doing with his stuff so I know this is going with him and then you can have that he said that goes with the truck it do um can I find out what's going on statement on what happened okay okay okay um whenever we first talked you weren't really forthcoming with you said you you didn't stop anywhere that you were coming from your daughter's house that you put in my cup put in the garbage okay so she wants to pursue criminal charges on you okay so that that means that you're going to be going to jail oh yeah mhm now yes sir yeah so you're going to get down there and you'll have a bond tomorrow okay and you'll be able to get out I talked to my supervisor and collect ly we made the decision um that you are going to go to jail but you will be able to me to do and whenever I have a a person that's alleging to be the victim in it not saying that this case is going to stick I don't know why you she don't talking to me because we never let the victims lady and she check the hand to me too yeah the victim confirmed the ID of the attacker and since he committed the crime while the house wasn't open for visitors he has been charged with burglary of a dwelling with assault and battery and also another misdemeanor charge of simple battery and now something that will send chills down your spine during a routine Patrol the New Mexico State Police pulled over of vehicle that was swerving on the road to the officer's shock the driver was 41-year-old Jeremy Guthrie an accused sex offender inside the vehicle were six miners aged 13 and 14 the officer immediately suspected Guthrie was under the influence of alcohol and he emerged from the vehicle with his pants unbuttoned hey there hello how are you all right just all right yeah okay your dve license yeah there's a wallet right there between your legs sorry just a little bit nervous so is I the way you're driving huh I said you mentioned that you were nervous right I was nervous while and having the smell of alcohol on his breath suggests DUI having six miners in the vehicle while driving Under the Influence significantly escalates the severity of the offense this could lead to charges of child endangerment Jeremy is visibly distressed and for a very good reason the police officer begins to question the children in the the vehicle and they soon admit that none of them are of legal age the conclusion of this story is more than chilling all people in the car who are they they're just my friends I don't I mean do you normally hang out with people who who are young not not uh
