Hey everyone, it's Trent, Prior Deputy Sheriff, Patrol Sergeant, and K-9 handler. Dealing with drunk people like this as a cop is the absolute worst. More of an annoyance than anything else, especially when there's a bunch of them and you're the only one there trying to deal with this situation, trying to corral them or get them rides. And essentially, that's what you want to do in this situation. Your goal is to not arrest everybody and take them to jail. It's not necessarily a crime in and of itself just to be publicly intoxicated. But if you're going to be creating a nuisance or if you're unable to care for yourself and your own safety, and I believe that that was the case with that male suspect that ended up getting arrested, then as a cop, you are going to have to intervene at that point. And also, you can't really just leave this situation. It could potentially be a major liability. And more than likely, these cops are just going to get called back to have to deal with these people who seem to be involved in some sort of fight. I will say that these cops had a ton of patience and were trying to be cool and nice and just tell these people to move on or to try to get them rides. and a couple of them just weren't having it whatsoever. Especially that girl that struck that cop. Obviously, she needed to get arrested and go to jail. And that's going to be it for this one. See you guys in the next one. >> She was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, but remains innocent until proven guilty. [Music] [Music]
