Rea is a convicted felon with prior drug and property crime convictions. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a firearm, THC, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and over $15,000 in cash. Rea was arrested for fleeing and eluding officers, secondderee recklessly endangering safety, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and five counts of bail jumping. Rea's verdict came in November of that year alongside verdicts from other cases including charges for burglary, retail theft, criminal damage to property, misdemeanor battery, and disorderly conduct. She was found guilty through a nocontest plea to possession of a firearm and burglary. All other charges were dismissed but read in. She was sentenced to 5 years probation with 6 months jail if probation is violated. Dne, the male passenger wanted on serious felony domestic violence charges, also faced charges for felony bail jumping, possession of cocaine, THC, drug paraphernalia, and one charge of littering. Since this incident, he faces seven more counts of bail jumping. The court is currently processing all charges, including his domestic violence charges for strangulation and thirdderee sexual assault. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. On April 13th, 2025, officers in Troy, Ohio, initiated a pursuit of a suspected drunk driver after they ran a stop sign with their emergency flashers on Heat up here. The suspect unknowingly moves toward a stopstick deployment area down the road. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. It appears a piece of the tire flies off and hits the officer's cruiser. doorway to me. [Applause] The pit maneuver delays the suspect's encounter with stopsticks. With several cruisers close behind and blocking his path, the suspect evades through a parking lot and continues driving northwest. >> Stay there. Stay in the middle. Keep going. Going down. >> Stay away. Stay away. Stay away. [Applause] [Music] Watch out. Watch out. [Applause] 41. He's raming cruisers. We're going to need help. >> 41 cruisers. You got cruisers. >> Stop. What's up, dude? >> No. >> You think it's funny? >> No, it's not funny, dude. >> Oh, you know. gone. >> Yeah, you did. >> Hey, uh >> what's going on tonight? >> So, you know, >> up, dude. >> Hey, what do you want? Anything on you that I need to know about? >> No. >> Okay. First of all, you have the right to remain silent. Do you understand that? Yeah, >> you're driving with your emergency lights on. Your hazards, your warning lights. >> So, what was your question? >> Why were you driving with them on? >> Why was I driving with my hazards on? >> That's correct. >> So, I have a secondary option. >> What's that? >> That would be my secondary enforcement lights. >> Okay. And why did you run when I tried to stop you? >> I did not run. Okay. I may have resisted arrest a little bit, dude. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay. So, that's all that's all you got on me, dude. I'm sorry. >> Okay. All right, man. >> I'm sorry, dude. Hey, >> we'll figure it out. >> You seem like >> It's all right, man. That's cool. >> Hey. All right. Arrest me. >> You're Dude, you're already You're already in the back of a car. >> Go ahead. >> The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Colin Langden. Blood alcohol test showed he was over three times the legal limit. He also had THC in his system. After his arrest, Colin was charged for one count of escape, one count of failing to stop for law enforcement, one count of reckless operation, one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and two counts of failing to stop after an accident. He was held on a $100,000 cash bond. He is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. The pit maneuver, I believe it's one of the sharpest tools in the toolbox for law enforcement, but it's not magic, cuz a suspect can spin out, regain traction, and take off like nothing happened. And when that happens, the danger escalates because now you've got a drunk or panic driver who knows police tried to end it once and failed. And that's the scary part because when protocol fails, officers don't get to walk away. They reset, they re-engage, and put themselves and the public back in the line of fire. And some suspects think beating a pit maneuver means they won the game. They spin, they recover, and in their mind, they embarrass the cops. But there's no scoreboard on the highway. The only prize at the finish line is handcuffs, an ambulance ride, or a body
