police departments across the United
States begin to adopt pepper spray in
the late 80s and early '90s it's
definitely a tool that can help but it
can also be used on officers by suspects
now fortunately I've been receiving in
of being pepper sprayed unfortunately by
another officer by mistake and although
it's a very uncomfortable experience it
should wear off after about 20 minutes
in most cases however a person who has
prolonged exposure to pepper spray it
can possibly diminish lung function so
it's imperative to flush the eyes ASAP
with water so today guys we have another
shoplifting case which quickly escalates
as soon as the officer engages with the
suspect and this video shows you the
danger of what can occur when officers
are dealing with shoplifters now as soon
as the officer used his pepper spray he
got into a violent struggle and the
officer was pepper sprayed as well and
keep in mind that when sprayed with
pepper spray it causes vision and
breathing problems as you can see in
this video but I commend this officer
who stayed in the fight while dealing
with being heavily affected by the
pepper spray and backup arrived just in
time to assist in taking a male into
custody but he had to deal with a
violent suspect while simultaneously
dealing with the burn and sting of the
pepper spray now unfortunately while
struggling with the male suspect the
female suspect just calmly walks off and
it amazed me how the suspect wanted to
be treated like a baby in the back of
the police vehicle after he pepper
sprayed a police officer but believe it
or not these so-called tough suspect
start crying when they get in the back
of a police vehicle I've seen it a lot
the suspect played a stupid game so he
won a stupid prize he got arrested and
he got charged this suspect was charged
with resisting arrest battery on a law
enforcement officer and petty theft he
is innocent unless proven guilty in a
court of law
