hi did y'all call that goats on February
8th law enforcement in Harris County
Texas responded to reports of a Great
Dane and a pair of goats that had gotten
inside a Target store by using the
automatic doors near the entrance what
follows is video of law enforcement
working to resolve this very unusual
call
hi did y'all call about goats yeah we
did uh I can take you over there if you
want yeah okay
are they still here yeah they're still
here okay um I was reviewing camera
trying to figure out where they came
from but uh it looks like they just came
into the store and now they're stuck in
our exit Festival
well they're not stuck we just yeah
um okay
so we're just calling back all day
yeah so far
hello how are you doing good
um
but they said that there was a Great
Dane with them but we don't know where
that one went a Great Dane a Great Dane
okay
um
all right
um
this is a new one usually they're gone
by the time I get here yeah
okay
trying to think of uh
well they're contained I'll make a phone
call real quick and uh I think sheriff's
office has some livestock units
hey Serge I got some goats over here at
Target
can we call a lot of duck internet get
him in the car
that's where we'll do
turn back
bye see you tomorrow
49 the goats are contained right now can
we get a sort of livestock
um
[Music]
well I'm trying to get someone to come
get them
I think Animal Control is on their way
okay
livestock
you know I'm trying to get one of them
out here okay
um somebody mentioned because whenever I
pulled up when I got here the goats were
running around in the parking lots and
they said there was also a Great Dane
running around I didn't see it bye
Michelle just followed somebody in until
the guy here contain them
yeah yeah
do you have an ETA on the livestock unit
unfortunately
lock the doors
yeah just we can lock those doors that
way it's not like
somebody
okay
but they didn't want to come back over
there
okay
so we're just gonna lock them up over
here you sure you don't want to take
them I can't okay this is off right yeah
we turned both the electrical doors off
okay so they want you just for you guys
just to keep an eye on them
Claire Morgan over here
or one of them
but that way when livestock gets here
then they can yeah and I just don't want
it to open so people won't go in yeah
once the Constable determined the goats
were contained and not a threat to
themselves or others the sheriff's
livestock unit was called to the scene
under Texas law only the sheriff's
office is allowed to pick up goats
the livestock cooperated and were
transported to the Sheriff's goat pin
without further incident they have 18
days to be claimed before being
auctioned off or donated to charity
