today is Friday of work of week three
the cadets are uh progressing pretty
pretty good pretty fairly I would say uh
just had a three mile run uh about a 9
and 1 half minute pace which is pretty
typical for this part of the academy um
today what we focused on is a little bit
of extra stretching a little bit of
mindfulness to injury prevention a lot
of times these guys come in with uh
pre-existing injuries or tight muscles
uh which lead to uh strains and sprains
down the road uh if they're not careful
and so we're all about preventing that
giving them specific stretches to focus
on uh as well as uh giving them more of
an emphasis on keeping those muscles and

we've done quite a bit in this first
three weeks we have a lot more to go the
first week was a lot of classroom
instructions getting um to fully
understand how the police department
operates we did a lot of administrative
stuff payroll
uh how to do reports things like that uh
we did traffic control we got through
that no accidents happened now Monday we
have other things to do we're going to
start firearms in a few weeks we're
going to start defensive tactics in a
few weeks we will start learning about
domestic violence um we have 21 weeks 21
22 weeks to go still a lot to do of the
United States of America and to the
Republic for which it stands one nation
under God indivisible with liy and
justice for all
