help me clean our house MH and he has refused refused refused refused I was hit over and over and over again and I'm not doing it again and he just gets drunk and dances around the property what man I asked you for help and you put me in jail this is what happens this is my blood everywhere police are called to the scene of a camper in Florida where a squabble over domestic chores has turned into a domestic altercation but this isn't the first time law enforcement has gotten involved with this couple's volatile relationship and his resentments from the last visit spill over into the investigation the question is whether the deputies can find the truth about the blood splattered altercation before this toxic love affair gets any worse all I have to say officer is love can make you do some crazy things the following report is based on official police records and most of the footage has never been seen before until now please note that all persons charged with a crime are Presumed Innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law on the evening of December 8th 2024 a disturbing call comes into 911 in Marian County Florida 911 what's the address of your emergency you have a second to to say that it's okay is it okay is it okay all right it's okay it's okay the call disconnects but it's only a matter of time before another one comes in please help me hello can you hear me oh done yeah I am done hello he's coming back for me help me where are you okay send jail no not yes that's what once more the call ends on an inconclusive note but it's not long before the 911 lines are ringing again and this time the caller is ready to talk please send the police okay tell me exactly what's happened thank you so much um is um is not mentally well they Baker acted him a few weeks ago there was a huge incident with him and we have um tried to make something safe for me and come back to the property peaceably but now he's attacking I'm covered in my own blood yeah he's um he's he's not well and what's your relationship to him we have been friends for 12 years and we're in a personal relationship um he is attacking the door so he's he's um hurt me um SE the dog I'm covered in my own blood and um and please please come the caller is 53-year-old Carrie Jenkins and he's calling about his partner 46-year-old Andrew Baldwin who makes a 911 call of his own that night I my partner who is previously arrested for aggravated assault and battery has attacked me again and covered myself and the entire RV in blood deputies with the Maran County Sheriff's Office respond to the scene where Carrie has locked himself in the camper and is refusing to come out and I'm telling you that as much as I would love to get you medical attention all right then bring them I cannot do that until you open the door Camp I'm not safe it this the scene is not secure I don't know if you have firearms in there huh I'm not safe and I'm going to call the police again if you if you call them you're going to go go to jail I guarantee excuse me if I call 911 I'm going to jail I guarantee you're going to jail if you call 911 you're talking to law enfor there's no need for you to call Water Carrie remains reluctant to cooperate with the police he called and what he says next explains why the tension between he and the deputies will reach a crescendo before the night is through will you please step outside no do you understand that if you don't step outside I cannot get you an ambulance sorry I'm not safe why are you not safe because the last time you guys came and I've asked for help for four other visits I went to jail all four times no I went to Jail the last time that was enough okay so so I'm not going to jail tonight okay I was attacked how are you attacked I was attacked I was attacked completely unprovoked I was attacked for not vacuuming I am bleeding I was attacked with a pipe I was attacked with a with with with I was hit I was hit in the face I was hit over and over and over again and I'm not doing it again okay from what it looks like to me violently attack it looks like to me is you are the victim so I have no intentions of taking you to thank you though the deputy assures Carrie that he's safe to come out of the RV he's not the only one claiming to be the victim in tonight's altercation what's going on he did what again tried to beat me up tried to beat you up how so physically and there's a battery power pack he tried throwing it at me are you are you injured I'm not know all right just stay over here all right all bring it down bring it back down bring it back down all bring it churches didn't Sor just only 18 days earlier Maran County Sheriff's de deputies responded to a similar call at this property which ended with Carrie being arrested and charged with aggravated battery and while those charges may have been dropped Carrie is still suspicious of the responding cops please help me please help me please please help me okay come outside walk out to the roadway to the med to see you no I don't want to go in the road please help me I don't want to that's fine you you can stay here no the last time I you guys news please just come to my home and help me sit thank you so much I don't want to I mean come on man with a little persistence the deputies get versions of what happened from both men walk me through from the beginning what happened to me okay we went swimming he was fine we came back all I have been asking him to do is to help me clean our house and he has refused refused refuse refuse and he just gets drunk and dances around the property I vacuumed the floor I wiped the floor I spped the floor he didn't like it I said I wouldn't do it a second time okay he me like I already did it today mhm and so I just started sweeping again and I was like really do you mind just sweeping like no no no no and then he just started getting violent he at me faced with conflicting accounts the deputies try to piece together what they've heard and make some sense of what happened here tonight so let me talk to you real quick okay hang because meds are going to come yeah is it bad yeah he's going to be he's got marks on his face like he was hit with a pipe in there he's got marks he's got cuts and he's definitely got like he's definitely been hit in the eye it's clear last time it looked that way as well and it wasn't the case he wound up hitting the dude of the pipe and he hit him so much that the pipe W up cutting his hand so like he said the same exact thing last time I'm not I don't know yet so gotta complic matters is the fact that one of these cops Deputy Bates was the very one who arrested Carrie the last time and it seems he's not the only one who remembers that fact what the man I asked help and you put me in jail this is what happens this is my blood everywhere focus on tonight what happened tonight tell him what Happ attacked me because I wouldn't sweep the floor the right way okay how did he attack you he attacked me with this with this okay I'm bleeding my blood is everywhere he beat me he said he was going to kill me it was exactly like the last time and I didn't press charges last time and I don't want to press charges he's not okay he was Baker acted 3 weeks ago and you wanted to put me in jail he is not okay it's not me okay Florida's Baker Act allows for individuals to be involuntarily placed in a local hospital or crisis unit in some circumstances if they're determined to be a danger to themselves or others but for now the deputies are still trying to figure out the truth okay what happened to your eye he hit me face why are you screaming Ross because I'm pissed at you guys because I went to jail last time because you said I beat him up I had to I had to defend myself this time I did nothing I did nothing I didn't even defend myself I let him hit me so I wouldn't go to jail can we can we see your hands hey yes you come in come in we're not coming in hey come out here come in no I'm not coming out I'm you said you you said you I'm not coming out I don't you I don't trust you I don't trust you I don't trust you you come in take the pipe I'm not I'm not I'm not I don't TR trust you I don't trust don't TR any of you I think you're gay bashing and I don't I'm not coming out okay so come sit right here so treat you I'm not scar I'm not going to touch you boss man come sit right here so medic I'm scared of you come sit right here please I'm not going to touch you but just as Carrie begins to calm down he catches sight of Deputy Bates again and his Fury returns you guys put on the goddamn news you ruined my you your police report is and it's lious and you ruined two jobs I had bait so get away from me sounds good despite these resentments hanging in the air Carrie and Andrew seemed to want the same thing though in completely opposite ways he had his back turned to me and then he turned around and it was just like okay and covered me with but sprayed it all over himself he really needs help I'm sorry like like you guys need to get it together like he needs help help of A Sort does arrive but when Medics try to examine car's injuries it becomes clear that his mistrust of the situation extends to them as well how you doing sir I'm not okay okay I was attacked I see that okay I'm not okay and I'm not okay and I'm not okay we got lights and stuff in the truck to bandage that up at least don't take me away from here okay they kidnapped me they took me away the last time and I was attacked but it seems that tonight at least Andrew is the one in danger of being taken away by police all right place your hands behind your back again right now you're not under arrest uh you're only being detained all right well we kind of figure out what's going on okay um the EMTs who have finished tending to the cut on car's hand asked the deputies to clarify some of the bizarre things they've heard at the scene he you got put him on the news what the heck I didn't put him on the news what what's public information is not up to me you know what I mean like what do you do to put on hit him with a with a um pipe himself on the finger last time too so it was on the thumb and he he did it as he was trying to attack him guess he doesn't handle pipe very well okay well I'm on all right appreciate that but yeah I'll talk to you later dog god man meanwhile after the deputy notes his lack of visible injuries Andrew grabs his attention there there is one I just one what on my shoulder on your shoulder which shoulder my right shoulder okay if you pull it down oh yeah yeah you got something there yeah what is that um he's struck me with a branch with a branch all right yeah sounds good back with Carri the deputies perform the same examination but this one turns up a much different result can you take your shirt also of course yeah and this time because of what happened last time when I defended myself um I didn't do anything back so um but just so you know this is what this looks like the last time he hit me and I did nothing that's from the last time my friend what happened to your back so he hit me he hit you yes okay all right and so this is when knocked me out the last time Bates when you took me to jail he did that to my head knocked me out so that's what they wouldn't treat me for and then this thing which is probably gone now these are from today yes yeah they look fresh okay y the welts would seem to clarify the situation but the police believe that the issues between these two men run deeper than either of them recognize quite frankly this is okay the the back and forth between you guys okay than comment but I'm not going to talk to you if you're going to be disrespectful to me you don't get dis back and forth between you here's the thing I understand the situation I'm in a bad situation like you're not in a bad situation I'm in a bad situation I've asked for help from you guys and you bait were an toally he's getting arrested he's going to jail he shouldn't go to jail he's he's going to jail and I'm going to contact the State Attorney's office until not to drop the charges after because five days later after the charges are dropped you're back here do you guys are back here doing this so you're going to charge both of us so no he's going to be arrested he needs to go to Minal he's going to be arrested he needs to go to mental institution and if it seems for a moment that there may be a chance to end this visit on a cordial note those hopes are quickly dashed you are a victim today and for for the fact that you were a victim I'm sorry for what you went through and I I don't want to be unsympathetic to that I understand that but also I'm also not going to be ignorant to the fact of how often we do this and how often we are here dealing with the same exact and I'm not going to deal with your so we're we're going to deal with that in a civil way so you guys can leave my property thank you so much and as far as this RV goes I will be contacting code tomorrow morning to have it removed thank you so much you're you're you're excused thank you so much and you were absolutely not helpful again thank you so much so you're not here to excuse me you don't excuse me no I'm excusing you well you can excuse me if you want call the hospital and I will call and I will call for an attorney you guys you guys need to be more sympathetic this guy doesn't need to go to jail he is not well he will not do well in jail he will not Thrive he could be killed he's going to jail that's not an option you're making a bad okay as they walk back to the street Deputy Bates voices concerns I don't feel good about this just so you know all right so this is what's going to happen all right so uh you're going to go with me today all right you're going to go to the jail um right now you're detained all right or you're you're arrested So based off the injuries that he has okay Officer they were literally all self-inflicted I just stood back and he was thrashing himself everywhere saying either I'm dying or you're going to jail all evening I understand what you're saying but if the deputy has any doubts about tonight's resolution it doesn't translate into sympathy for Andrew and he's doing it deliberately now here in Florida knowing I don't have any family or friends here or knowwhere to turn except to rely on on him and I don't know why the courts aren't understanding that go what man I don't understand like you don't understand I told you last time St away you didn't listen to me yes you did and that's why I said yes you were right but I let I let my heart get in the way of reason this is this is oh Jesus Christ this is so far yall are extremely toxic together that last time and now here we are like it last time it was him saying the same exact thing the same exact thing before long the deputy asks Andrew about something interesting Carrie mentioned earlier what did he mean whenever he said arrest me his what his arrest made the news it was posted in um the village news The Villages news show his mug shot and the description of the rest was posted there online oh so I guess Maran County makes all mug shots public record so now mine is going to be on that same website now Andrew soon makes a shocking but unsubstantiated Claim about his partner but it only inspires the deputy to ask a rather straightforward question I guess never told you about the time he killed an adversary's dogs he said I'll take care of your dogs it left them in a hot car and the dogs died crazy it is part with somebody who's like all I have to say officer is love can make you do some crazy things Andrew Baldwin was charged with aggravated battery but Maran County Prosecutors Al Ely decided not to pursue the case and the charge was dropped
