Jersey driving drunk is not a crime but
a traffic infraction and at first I was
completely puzzled I couldn't believe it
but with a little bit of research I find
out that it's not as bad as you
think so in New Jersey it is not a crime
to drive drunk but a serious traffic
offense and the penalties are similar to
what you would expect in other states
and they might even be harsher than some
other states for example in the case
that we're talking about today she had a
blood alcohol content
of7 so she is facing up to 30 days in
jail and $3 to $500 fine as well as a
suspension of a license between 7 months
and 1 year and also she will have to use
an ignition interlock device for a
period of 6 months after she retrieves
her license so even though it's not a
crime technically there are some severe
penalties now the only Advantage for the
person that got convicted of this is
that they can technically say they don't
have a criminal record it is very
