get permission from my supervisor to be
able to release you to your sister I've
never had a Washington driver's license

okay but for whatever reason and
sometimes our dispatch um has a lot
going on and so they get mixed up right
and they were telling me that you had a
Washington driver's license so um but I
see the Idaho driver's license
so so am I getting book in or so I am
going to have to go through a booking
process with you but like I said I got
permission from my supervisor to let you
go um but we just have to get okay this
process finished what like I don't I
don't understand like what I'm being
charged with so you're under arrest for
DUI um and
um so that that's what we're we're doing
the administrative process for
DUI how long do I have to wait in here
so um I have so we have to finish this
process and then I have to complete some
paperwork um and um but I as soon as
we're done with this thing that we're
doing now the breath test okay then
we'll move
to okay um I just have really bad insom
and I'm
like sitting here like trying to
function

and it consists of two separate samples
of your breath um for this process what
I need you to do keep your hands away
from your face and when I tell you to I
will have you um take a deep breath in
and then seal your lips
around the tube and let out one long
breath the breath should last about 10
seconds okay um and it should be one
long continuous breath if you run out of
air you can stop and start um again but
take another deep breath and try it

opportunity uh my understanding is to
speak with an attorney if you want um

Washington um when I was headed up
towards like Christmas I was going to a
Christmas party and I had gone pulled
over and he gave me a ticket for
speeding okay and I mean honestly I just
thought it was going to go to
collections though yeah no they they
suspend your and the thing is not know
that they will communicate with Idaho
soon the communication's very slow but
they'll suspend your privilege to drive
in Idaho as well I did not know that I
really have no idea so I'm not able to
drive like at all um you're not able to
drive in Washington I will triple check
your Idaho driver's license and I don't
know how um Idaho Works to beon honest
um so in
Washington if say say you were suspended
in Idaho but your Washington driver's
license was okay Washington would be
like it's okay um I don't know if that's
how Idaho Works Idaho might be different
in that respect okay so um you might
want definitely going to lose my job
well
um get it figured out because you can
get these things figured out especially
the driver's licensing
fairly quickly okay so I'm going to
leave this stuck here I have to put you
in a Cell while I go finish the

means you spend a bunch of time in jail
waiting for your next court date so just
make sure you show up to that hearing
they don't take very long um generally
it's just for uh the first appearance is
like you you fill out some paperwork um
get you a COR appointed attorney if you
want one that sort of stuff and then the
judge will set your next court date so
there's not a whole lot to it you don't
have to bring an attorney to it you can
get that all set up there you definitely
can bring an attorney if you want to but
it's not required okay so that's uh the
first appearance is pretty low key the
worst thing you can do is just not show
up to that okay um address for it is
right there it's actually right across
our parking lot here so when you walk
out the door is here just take note of
where that's at because that's where you
come tomorrow okay the other two things
are you shall not possess or consume
alcohol or any unprescribed controlled
substances and you shall not drive a
motor vehicle without a valid license
while suspended revoked and without
liability insurance or other compliance
with applicable responsibility Lots you
don't have a good license right now okay
so can't drive can't use alcohol or
drugs okay so if you agree to all that
about my prescription drug though yeah
if they're prescribed that's fine it
just says unprescribed Controlled
Substances so if you're prescribed it
use it uh like you're supposed to um so

where you're supposed to go tomorrow

get my license back well it's already
suspended and I don't know what that's

you didn't pay or something like that
that's usually what it is is like an
unpaid ticket oh yeah I had a ticket
okay so if you don't yes and if you
didn't pay that the state will suspend
it so you need to pay that off and then
pay a fee to Department of Licensing and
then go get your license again I not

care of uh yeah so that's uh that's one
of these so there's two charges here so
we got the driving gun to the influence
and then DWS third degree it's just the
lowest degree just means they suspended
a license usually for like tickets and
that sort of stuff okay um so this is
just the charging document it's your
copy you're again you're going to be
showing up in court tomorrow so it's not
that big of a deal but hold on to that
um officer L we also set you up with a
phone number for police River Counseling
here in Pullman too if you wanted that
