There's three steps to this. I ask you, I tell you, and then I make you. You can either open up the door or I'm going to shatter your window, your choice. You're not welcome to do that. I don't need your welcome. >> [snorts] >> Welcome back to the Van Balion channel, guys. Today we head to Texas for a traffic stop where this rookie sovereign citizen makes two big mistakes. The first mistake, well, he attempts the Eddie Craig right to travel script. Yes, the script that Eddie himself literally wrote tested back in 2019. The second mistake, well, he thought this sergeant was bluffing when he gave him his one and only chance to step out of the vehicle before busting out his car window. Right, let's get into the video. Okay, for the record, may I get your badge number and your name, please? Officer Goodwin, badge number 714. Officer Goodwin? Yes, sir. Badge number? 714. Okay, can I verify that your uh your camera's working? Yes, sir. You're being audio and video recorded right now. So, audio and video are both working? >> Yes, sir. Okay. Are you relatively certain that your recording equipment is functioning properly for the purpose of making this recording? Yes, sir. Okay. Are you relatively certain you have a properly functioning brain because I'm not seeing any evidence of one at the moment? Uh is your body microphone and camera, if any, turned on and functioning properly to the best of your knowledge? Yes, sir. Okay. So, Officer Goodwin, badge 714, Yes, sir. what's the emergency and how can I help you? Stopping for your registration real quick, bud. Just want to run you real quick and I was going to cut you loose real quick. So, it's expired by a year right now. And I'm just playing a registration sticker. Officer Goodwin, badge 714. Yes, sir. What facts of information are you alleging that gave you probable cause to stop and to cost me? Expired registration and failure to display registration insignia. Just for the record, this was the result when Eddie Craig, again, the creator of this script attempted it back in 2019. So, what in the world makes you think it's going to work for you today in 2026? Officer Goodwin, badge 714. Do you have a properly signed issued warrant authorizing you to search me or my property? We're not searching you or your property. Officer Goodwin, badge 714. Do you have a properly signed issued warrant of arrest that accurately describes or names me as a person to be arrested? You're not under arrest right now, sir. So, no, sir. Thank you. Like the officer said, you're not currently under arrest. However, continuing to follow this script will, ironically, lead to the search and arrest you claim they need a warrant for. Is it true that when you get pulled over in the state of Texas, you're under a custodial arrest? Yes, sir. Okay, thank you. For the record, I am not operating in a for-hire capacity by engaging in any form of transportation or other commercial use of the highways. Officer Goodwin, badge 714, please acknowledge that you have been so informed. Yeah, that's not how the law works, and the officer knows it. So, orders him out of the vehicle, which I'm pleased to announce he refuses because it leads to the sergeant arriving on the stop. All right. Hey, do me a favor. Step out of the vehicle. Um Step out of the vehicle, and we'll talk to you out here. I don't see I'm I'm not dangerous. There's no reason for me to get out of the vehicle. I'm sorry, but that's not your determination to make. You're creating a potential officer safety issue by refusing to comply. Therefore, Pennsylvania versus Mims gives them the authority to remove you from the vehicle. How what happens depends on how stupid you are. Sir, I do not have to give you a reason as to why I want to conduct a traffic stop with you outside the vehicle. But I do so you will step out. Sir, what's your name and what's your badge? >> Officer Margrave, badge number 706. How do you spell your last name, please? M A R K G R A F. Badge 716? 706. Thank you. So again, am I under custodial arrest right now? No, you're being stopped for the for the um for the uh expired registration. Okay, so who's who's in charge here? It'd be me. Okay. So Officer Margrave, badge 706. What is your articulable articulable probable cause that leads you to believe that I have committed or am about to commit a crime that authorizes you to stop and detain me? Now, usually at this stage I would be past the point of urging the cops to just bust out his car window for obstruction, but I'm choosing patience on this one because trust me, the sergeant who arrives on the stop in a couple of minutes to put an immediate stop to this nonsense is worth the wait. You have expired registration and you're failing to display the proper registration insignia on the bottom left-hand corner of your windshield. Look, man. Officer Margrave. >> step out of the vehicle. So there's there's three steps to this. I ask you, I tell you, and then I make you. So right now, I'm telling you to get out of the car and then we can continue our conversation out here. Officer Margrave, badge 706. In order to protect my rights and not waive any by error or accident, I wish to clarify my legal understanding of this situation. Dude, you're reading from an Eddie Craig right to travel script. You don't have a legal understanding of this situation. But don't worry, the sergeant will help you understand how the law works when he gets here. You said that I am not free to go, so I must conclude that I am under a custodial arrest and this is simply not an investigative detention. Therefore, I'm invoking all of my fundamentally protected rights, including my right to remain silent and my right to assistance of counsel. Get your license out. Step out of the vehicle, please. From this point forward, I do not consent to providing you with any information or documents that could or will be used against me in court of law or to possibly incriminate me. So, please do not ask me to produce anything and give it to you. Okay. From this point forward, please do not ask me to answer any questions or perform any forms of tests relating to any matter whatsoever without my attorney present. Okay. So, give me just a second. You are detained, you're not free to leave. So, sit tight. I have a I have a Officer Margrave. All right, so let's skip ahead a few minutes to where the sergeant, who has absolutely no time for this sovereign citizen nonsense, arrives. Enjoy. Sir, Sergeant Johnson, Verni Police Department. You can either open up the door or I'm going to shatter your window, your choice. Sergeant Johnson, Please talk to me. Please I'm talking to you. >> Or I'm going to shatter your window. You make up your mind. That's not legal. You're not You're not welcome to do that. I don't need your welcome. Brilliant. I now need a T-shirt with the phrase I don't need your welcome under the sergeant busting out a car window. Can somebody please make that happen? I'd be our first customer. Anyway, now for the obligatory slow-motion window bust. Do you intend to harm, injure, or punish me by any method of assault? You have just assaulted me, sir. You have just assaulted me. You are not welcome in my vehicle. This is my legally protected You want to be in the back? Go into jail. Get back. Seriously? Is this the face of a man who doesn't take his job seriously? I don't think so. Anyway, because this guy is or was an Eddie Craig acolyte, let's take a look at how Eddie's traffic stop ended. I will of course drop a link to the full video if you haven't seen it, and the video I've just featured in the description. We got to search where you want to go hands-on. I want to get on the back. Yeah. We'll go hands-free in there for weapons or whatever. That's been my biggest concern. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? >> Yeah. He might have one tucked you where you can't see it. So, as far as you uh bust the window out >> Yeah. and then we'll take care of it from there and you kind of Yeah. I'm going to go up. I'm going to go up, hit it, clean it real quick, and you guys go hands-on. >> we'll go from there. Whenever you're ready. Yeah. We're ready now. Uh uh >> [clears throat] >> Okay, I'm not I'm not resisting. I just want you know you guys are falsely imprisoning me. SO, >> GET OUT. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE GROUND. GET ON THE PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. Stay down. Right, thank you so much for watching, guys.
