On August 15th, 2025, officers were dispatched to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport after a passenger reported that their Apple AirPods were stolen. >> It's still showing in that area. Like every time I get close to it, it would say, "Oh, your stuff is nearby." >> And you want me to take me to it? >> Uh I walked over there. I went I went downstairs and I went back up here. One of those customer service places opened the door and she just walked in and said, "Somebody don't want their AirPods." >> How did you lose them? >> I was like sitting down over here by the training door and like one of the corners and I got up, went to the restroom and then like I didn't like I was looking for my AirPods and I'm like, "Okay, so they must be back." And then I thought they fell out, they must be back over here. >> Where at? Show Show me where at. >> Yeah. >> So I can we can look at the cameras and find them. Come here. >> Hello, how are you doing? >> Pretty good. Did you find some AirPods? >> What's that? >> Did you find some AirPods? >> Yeah. >> You did find them? >> Yeah. >> Where did you find them at? >> Yeah, I found them on the floor at the >> Well, come here. >> Yeah, that's somewhere here. I found it on the floor at the B1 area. Why are you using them? >> I don't need your AirPods. >> Why are you using them? >> It said like cuz it said each time you open them, it turned off my music. Oh, my music was playing. I got >> Yeah, cuz I saw them on the B1 area on the on the floor there, so I was like >> Why are you using them? >> I mean You were trying to open them up. I know how to I know how to switch and remove a person from their AirPods. I know how to do that. So, it it was telling me it was opening up and closing back up. The only way I do that is through an Apple laptop. >> I don't know what what I bought on it for real. I saw it on the It wasn't It wasn't logged on or anything. >> Yeah, it was over there by the training officer desk. >> what was maybe the someone just placed it on maybe a flight or or a passenger and all that left the left it and >> I get Well, it's not my place at that point. The officer >> Yeah. >> His claim is he just saw you with holding the AirPods. >> Yeah, I I I don't understand but I saw it on the flight and I was like if you know what I mean you understand from this. >> Give me one second, Isaac. >> All right, sir. >> Let me talk to him, okay? And uh we'll speak up from there, okay? >> Yeah, I'm super sorry cuz I mean it was on the floor. So, I just I just I was like hey, maybe a passenger because for real it wasn't charged or anything. It was just on the floor there and I was like I think maybe a passenger left his AirPods cuz most times they usually like sometimes they leave folks around and all that stuff. So, >> Yeah. >> I mean, that's why I just That's why I just had to like pick it up and all that. >> What's the process and when you find something? >> Yeah, you have to like take it back to like give it to like lost and found or something like that. >> Okay. So, why didn't you do that? >> That's where I made a mistake. >> Okay. So, instead of I get it if you picked them up. >> Yeah. >> You know what I'm saying? Like and and and had them on you like I'm going to turn them in lost and found but you're actually using them. >> Yeah, I'm tripping. >> Yeah, so was your intent to to keep them or what was your intent? Cuz it sounds like it looks like to me you got them. >> No, I wasn't I wasn't in it for not really necessarily to keep it anyway though, but but I did I want to I plugged it to see if it was actually working and all that. That was why I had to like connect it to my phone and >> That doesn't that doesn't make sense though. It's not it's not >> I know it's not a good reason. I would have just given it to the lost and found people. >> Yeah. You got your driver's license on you? >> Yeah. >> Baker 3 to Baker 4. If you can meet me up uh the Baker 3 uh area. >> Baker 4 copy. Hold on. >> I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry, man. >> Mhm. >> Uh they pinged right up there and then ping. He was tracking it. So >> Okay. >> I knew that the cleaners come up here and so I came up here and he had he had a earbud in and had the >> Okay. >> had it right there. >> Okay. >> So I said, "Did you find any um >> I don't >> if earbuds But um and he had you know the earbud thing on the side. >> Okay. >> He said he made a mistake. But he picked my up cuz but he was using You see you do see the dilemma in this. >> Yeah, I see it. >> Right? Like it it'd been different if I I showed showed up and you were like, "Oh yeah, I got them right here." and he he handed them to me and >> Yeah. >> and you wouldn't have been using. You see what I'm saying? When you're when you've paired up to them you're talking on the phone with it. >> I see that. Yeah, I see that. >> You see what I'm saying? >> Yeah, I understand. >> All right, so >> so to me using the earbuds, you paired it with your phone, right? To use your earbud his is earbuds. That shows intent that you're you're taking them. You see what I'm saying? >> I understand but I was just trying to see if he was walking around when I saw the earbuds on the floor. It was probably a different thing if I took it from his bag but I should have given it to like the lost and found people. >> Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Now I think it would have been totally different if you'd have been like, "Hey man, I've got these earbuds." You hadn't used them. I found them. Here you go. But you're actually >> He was he was here. He was with me I just found him on the lost part of the lawn but cuz I was able to see if the stuff is good or not. >> But but you you were just >> was with me like right here for a long time. >> But you but you're saying there's intent there when you're you're using the earbuds. You know, you're talking on the phone with it. Right? >> I totally understand you, sir. But at the same time I saw it on the floor. I understand what you're trying to say, too. I saw it on the floor. It's not like I took it from him or or I plugged it from the cable. It was like it was left on the floor. So I was like, "Whose is this here?" I looked around. I didn't see nobody. Cuz it was around like I think it was around like 3:00 or 2:00 around that time. >> Yeah. >> I looked around. I went to like do something but I didn't see nobody down there. Then I came back but I didn't see nobody. >> It's it's just the intent where you're using the earbuds, right? It's showing to me that your >> intent is not to really just turn them in. >> No. Well, I The reason why I just put it on is because I just wanted to see if it was working fine you know that. It was I didn't want to steal my I want I totally understand what you're trying to say, sir. >> So All right, man. Go ahead and uh turn around. You're going to be under arrest for theft, okay? >> Can I my wife? >> Not right now. We'll need to get to jail before we can make this call, okay? >> So, I'm going to the jail. Yes, sir. Oh my god, what did I do? Oh my wife. The AirPods are on the floor. Oh my >> All right. Don't spread your feet for me. >> Oh my I have an exam to take. >> You have what? >> I have an exam to take. I have an exam to take. >> An exam to take? >> Oh my god. Oh Jesus Christ. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get home. I don't know what I'm going >> Do you have a vehicle that you brought to the car down? >> She has a car that she brought to the >> Oh my god, what did I do? Oh my life. Oh my god. >> Or the baker, too. >> Oh Jesus Christ. Ma'am, I hope you understand I hope you understand I know you're doing your job and all that. I understand you're doing your job and all that, but for real, I don't I'm not like that. I don't take people's stuff. And I saw the AirPods on the floor. I know I should have told you then, but I saw it on the floor. I don't know that. My life is ending. So, my life is ending. I have never imagined myself being in handcuffs. Never have I imagined myself. I don't take people's stuff. I don't I If you look at my history, it's clean. I don't do stuff. I don't do stuff, so But, I don't know so good on my team. Oh Jesus Christ. >> Put your stuff. That's where you get in is put your left foot. And then slide. Hold on. Hold a minute. No, you're good. I think you did cuz I watched you. >> Yeah, I think I did. You're right. This is a double check. See the blood there? >> That's right. Put your left foot up and just kind of slide in for me. >> It's too tight to move in. >> We talked to him. >> Watch your head. It's tight. Oh, Jesus Christ. It's It's very tight in here. >> I I checked them. You're okay. >> Oh God. Oh Lord Jesus, Lord, help me. Oh my God, I'm on my knees. I am on my knees. >> He was charged with theft of property.
