One felony count of false imprisonment was dismissed. At sentencing, the court imposed a substantial prison sentence. Chaz received six years of initial confinement and five years of extended supervision on two of the recklessly endangering safety counts. Additional prison terms were ordered on several other charges with some counts running consecutively. According to court records, the sentence resulted in approximately 12 years of initial confinement followed by 11 years of extended supervision. The court also ordered more than $47,000 in restitution for damage to law enforcement vehicles along with additional restitution for property damage. Finally, the case involving Jonathan. On the morning of June 21st, 2025, a disturbance call at a trailer park quickly escalated into a high-risk standoff involving a reported hostage, an armed suspect, and nearly an hour of negotiations. Around 10:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a mobile home in Platteville Township after reports that a man was breaking windows with a hammer and yelling inside a trailer. HE ALMOST TOOK YOUR KNIFE. >> Jonathan pleaded guilty to two felony counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety involving the use of a dangerous weapon. Several other charges, including criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, and criminal damage to property were dismissed as part of the plea agreement. The court imposed prison sentences on both felony counts, but stayed those sentences and instead placed Jonathan on probation for 5 years. One count also required 90 days in jail. As conditions of supervision, Jonathan must maintain employment or actively seek work and comply with any counseling, treatment, or programming required by the Department of Corrections. If probation is successfully completed, Jonathan can avoid serving the prison sentences that were imposed and stayed. If probation is revoked, those prison sentences could be activated.
