On May 24th, 2024, police in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, rushed to a strip mall parking lot to halt a display or reckless driving from a bright yellow Corvette. The driver identified himself as Alex “Flyysoulja” Venegas, who with his identical twin brother Franky Venegas, made up the viral rap duo the Island Boys. Along with being a rapper, he is a famous TikTokker and influencer. The driver claimed he was fleeing from an assault after being held at gunpoint by a small group of men with dreadlocks riding in a grey Ford Mustang. Venegas stated the altercation started when one of the men insulted his twin brother. Police soon located the Mustang and detained its three occupants, finding an array of firearms and ammunition. However, after speaking to the alleged aggressors, the supposed victim, and local witnesses, the cops soon discovered all was not as it seemed.
