On Sunday, December 14, 2025, a deadly attack unfolded at Bondi Beach in Sydney, New South Wales, during a Hanukkah celebration near Archer Park and the Campbell Parade footbridge. Reports describe two alleged gunmen opening fire from the area around the footbridge in the early evening—around 6:42–6:47 p.m. AEDT—killing at least 15 people and injuring more than 40. This Short captures the viral moment a bystander—widely identified in reporting as Ahmed al Ahmed—rushes one attacker, disarms him, and tries to hold him at gunpoint. In the chaos, the disarmed attacker appears to retreat toward the footbridge / higher position, where the second shooter was still active. Viewer discretion advised.
