* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * San Diego, California — On August 11, 2023, at 3:12 a.m., three San Diego Police Officers responded to an apartment complex at 3435 Lebon Drive on report of a vehicle burglary. The 911 call was placed by a security guard who reported that two men, driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck, where breaking into cars in an underground parking garage. Officers arrived and blocked the only exit of the parking garage with their patrol cars. The screeching tires of the F-150, later determined to be stolen, alerted officers to suspects. The two occupants of the F-150 ran on foot, as the only vehicle exit was blocked. Three officers initiated a foot pursuit. The passenger in the F-150 ran North. He was not immediately apprehended. The driver ran South followed by the three officers. During the foot pursuit, officer Lee repeatedly told the driver, later identified as 39-year-old Justin Teague, to get on the ground, but Teague kept running. Teague fired at least one shot at Officer Joseph Lee. Officer Lee discharged his service weapon striking Teague, ending the foot pursuit. For the next two minutes, officers told Teague to stay on the ground and not to reach for the gun, yet Teague continued to move. Once officers deemed it safe to approach, they moved closer, detained Teague and secured the firearm. Officers provided medical aid until the arrival of paramedics. Teague was transported to the Hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening. No officers were injured during this incident. Teague's firearm was loaded. It was jammed with a round in the chamber when recovered. The following week, Teague was charged with several counts, including attempt premeditated murder on a peace officer. The judge denied bail. According to SDPD officials, on the evening of Nov. 8, 2003, Teague, then 19-years-old and the subject of two outstanding arrest warrants, rammed an SDPD cruiser with a stolen car at a gas station at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Kearny Villa Road in Kearny Mesa, then accelerated toward an officer who was on foot. That officer and two other officers responded by opening fire on the suspect, leaving him with two gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Teague drove away despite his injuries, fleeing for a short distance before slamming into a retaining wall near state Route 163, where he was apprehended. Teague was convicted of burglary the same year. He was sentenced for auto theft in 2004 and was convicted in 2017 of possessing a stolen car, conducting identity theft, and recklessly evading police in a vehicle. Last month, Teague was detained on accusations of auto theft, fleeing police, reckless driving, and possession of a stolen vehicle. He posted bail that same day and was released on bond. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - Sandra McGreevy - Francesco Tortorelli - Ryan Hurley - Kerrie Golden - Charlie Collier - Koby Bland - Cash MacGregor - 'Zixuno' - 'InicRa' - Christopher Payne - 'Bad Drivers Of The NorCal Area' - Juan Villagomez - Zach Williams - Michael R Sheffield - Rich Biggs - 'Ham_Radio' - 'JTrip' - Lee Roberts - Jerry Allison - Marc H - Brant Eaton - 'General X' - 'jadeennff' - James Pringle - 'AccuShoot.com' - 'Savage Training Group' - Meighan Garrick - Michele Duckson - 'BoJassim' - 'Dabster' - 'Sopaul' - Lisa Overly - Connor Davies - Paul Rohrbaugh - 'Necko' - Gerardo Flores - Anthony Eufemio - 'Donkbot' - Gage Kissinger - Eian Smith - 'HelloDarknessMyOldFriend' - 'coco Coco' ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Support us at BuyMeACoffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/PoliceActivity Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/PoliceActivity Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Police_Activity 🛍️ Amazon Affiliate links 🛍️ (if you buy anything through these it will support the channel and allow us to continue creating content for you!): Amazon Store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/PoliceActivity Amazon US: https://amzn.to/44TDQEK Amazon CA: https://amzn.to/47k7Ifm Amazon DE: https://amzn.to/3rSBSGd Amazon UK: https://amzn.to/43ShOkI Timestamps: 0:00 - 911 Call 1:16 - Bodycam: Officer Joseph Lee 4:06 - Evidence 4:12 - Patreon Supporters
