Bodycam footage from the Boynton Beach Police Department in Florida shows the desperate search and eventual arrest of an unlicensed driver who struck a 10-year-old boy with her van and immediately fled the scene. On December 23, 2023, officers responded to a distressing 911 call reporting a child had been hit by a green van that drove off. Police and paramedics arrived to find the injured boy on the ground, surrounded by horrified onlookers. Thanks to quick-thinking witnesses who provided a tag number, officers were able to track the van to a nearby location. When confronted, the driver initially denied everything, providing a bizarre and quickly debunked story. Once her lies unraveled, she was taken into custody for leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and driving without a valid license.
