A routine parking lot mishap turned into a shocking DWI arrest. On July 30, 2025 at 3:58 PM, police were called to Prospect Plaza (507 Prospect Ave, Little Silver, NJ) after a two-car collision in a parking lot. Officers discovered that 51-year-old Jill Mannix, a local resident, had crashed her vehicle (NJ Plate: D90VDU) into a parked car. While no one was injured, officers noticed signs of impairment and conducted field sobriety tests. Mannix struggled through the HGN, walk-and-turn, and one-leg-stand tests, leading officers to conduct a breath test — which revealed a staggering BAC of 0.331%, over four times the legal limit (0.08%). She was arrested and charged with: Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Careless Driving Reckless Driving Her car was towed by Central Towing and she was transported to police headquarters for processing. The other involved vehicle (NJ Plate: R67KNN) was driven by 72-year-old Cynthia Olcott with 68-year-old passenger Donna Post, neither of whom were injured.
