According to authorities, the driver, Joshua Magraff, 37, of Charlotte, initially told officers the teen was his 16-year-old cousin. However, a records check revealed the girl had been reported missing nearly a month earlier. Police contacted the teen’s mother, who confirmed she had reported her daughter missing on February 16 and stated she did not know Magraff. Magraff was taken into custody and is now facing multiple charges, including interference with child custody, possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of counterfeit currency, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
