Correctional Officer Hit with Glass Bottle During Domestic Dispute On Christmas Eve 2023, Valdosta police responded to an apartment where a correctional officer — still in uniform — was bleeding from the head. According to witnesses, her partner had struck her with a glass bottle during a violent domestic altercation. Officers quickly located the suspect, confirmed the account, and discovered she had multiple active warrants for public drunkenness, simple battery, and disorderly conduct. She was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault – Family Violence, then booked into the Lowndes County Jail. 👉 Should prior warrants carry extra weight when someone commits a new violent crime?
