Officers report: On Thursday, January 4, 2024, at approximately 1324 hours, while actively patrolling the area of 8510 Montgomery Blvd Ne (Target), about a repeat offender in the store, the prolific to shoplifting. Loss Prevention also advised me that the subject name is David Quintana, DOB /1988. I was advised that David walked in at 1318, made his way to the office supply, and selected pens and that when she advised, she walked onto the sales floor and began to watch David physically. I was told that he then walked over to Home Goods and selected a flashlight and, once done, went over to electronics and selected multiple games. At that point, she watched David attempt to conceal everything in his waistband underneath his bulky jacket and, at one point, drop the games on the floor and pick them up. While looking around to see if anyone was watching him, he attempted again to conceal the items in his waistband. Once secured, he makes his way to the entrance, passes all points of sale, exits the building, and begins to head around the store and north on Montgomery. I was given a description of a male subject wearing a green jacket, grey pants, and blond hair, last seen walking toward Natural Grocer north on Montgomery. While at the light of Wyoming and Montogmery, I noticed the male that was described and drove to where he was.I advised the subject that he was detained, that he was being recorded, and that he was not free to leave. The subject lifted his arms, and all the merchandise that was concealed fell to the ground. I placed the subject in investigative detention and relocated back to the target to finish my investigation. While conducting my investigation, I discovered that David had another report from December 23, 2023, that falls within 90 days. I was told that he had walked in, selected three games, concealed them, and walked out of the store. I was given a receipt for today's shoplifting of $334.93 and another receipt/report for $179.97, with a total amount of $514.87. I aggregated both charges and advised David he was under arrest for felony shoplifting under the new Aggregation statute for shoplifting.I collected the December 23, 2023, report and the receipt for today and will attach them to this report. I transported David to the PTC( Prisoner Transport Center) to be booked for the listed charge.
