On March 6, 2025, Target loss prevention personnel were tracking two 18-year-old women who were actively involved in shoplifting. Lacey police officers were present when the two women exited the store with stolen merchandise. One of the women already had been arrested several times, both as a juvenile and as an adult, so she was not concerned about going back to jail. The second woman, however, was very concerned about being arrested and what would happen to her in jail. Most of her concerns were captured by the camera inside the police vehicle. Their charges are listed at the end of the video.
