On May 11, 2023, a deputy was dispatched to investigate reports of a suspicious individual walking near a rural intersection. The individual, who stated he was walking to his girlfriend's residence, was offered a ride. Upon arrival, the deputy encountered the girlfriend, who displayed signs of impairment and subsequently failed standardized field sobriety exercises, including a circular sway of 2 inches during the Modified Romberg Balance Test and distinct nystagmus during the HGN test. She was then placed under arrest for physical control of a motor vehicle.
